I am actually also a LAWYER who has a YouTube channel called RONALD OFF THE RECORD, and I just released my big video on Byler! I'm prepared to put my professional reputation as a lawyer on the line to comment on a piece of science fiction, because goddammit this is important to me! I'm now making this my new pinned post, so I'll list a few of my posts here for people to check out.

ADDITIONS: -28:00 On "We should normalize same-sex friends being affectionate, they don't have to be gay," I should have been clearer. HOMOPHOBIA is the reason for that stigma. Straight friends feeling like they can be affectionate in our society HAS to include normalizing LGBT+ people. -1:16:55 I should've said this more clearly: Will reminded Mike that who HE is, HIS unique qualities, make him worthy of love and make El love him, not dumb luck. And Will of course could convey that because Will loves the actual nerd MIke and everything he is. -1:17:06 Mike making El "not feel like a mistake" doesn't fit El, because she says that Mike looks at her "like I'm a monster, too". Nor did she "push you away because she was afraid of losing you". That's Will, not El. Mike felt love because Will was describing himself. -1:52:36 I forgot to mention that, in the original Nina opera, Nina's lover is ALIVE and DOES return. The Duffers changed the story so that Nina's lover does NOT return, to further suggest Mike won't return! -2:35:22 I'm kicking myself for not being more specific about Mike and Will being heroes in more than one way: I think the theme of bullying from s1 will return, with Will (and also Mike) having to face bullying for being boyfriends in Hawkins.

Cursed (Avengers X Reader)

Part Three

The entirety of the available team members gather in one of the meeting rooms in order to read through the files they found. Quite a few people are missing- Thor, Loki, T'Challa, Scott and Peter. The first four aren't often at the compound as they have their own homes and things to deal with while Peter is out on patrol. They'll be filled in on everything the next time they're seen.

Everyone is given a tablet that already has the file opened and ready on it. "Alright, let's get started. As of the moment, we have a potential hostile waiting in the interrogation room that we found while raiding a Hydra base for information. The files you have on your tablets are what we were able to find on her." Steve informs everyone as he stands at the head of the table. Having been one of the first people to see you, he chose to take over the meeting.

The team falls silent as they each read through the extremely long file on their mystery person.

02-17-XXXX: Day Eleven: Subject has shown no changes from serums 1 through 14. Administering serum 15 at approximately 0900 hours. Immediate reaction is spiked temperature and hallucinations.

04-12-XXXX: Day Sixty Five: Subject has begun showing signs of depression. No longer speaks and has only been eating one meal a day. Subject has shown no other changes.

09-19-XXXX: Day 225: Subject has been given serum 118. No immediate reaction.

09-20-XXXX: Day 226: Subject has begun showing changes. Strange markings have appeared on her cheeks and tongue. Further analysis required.

09-23-XXXX: Day 229: Further analysis shows that the markings are not the only change. Subject has gained powers that we will now refer to as 'Cursed Speech'. The subject can command targets to do things. Further testing required.

10-07-XXXX: Day 243: Upon further testing, the subjects power has some limits. The stronger the command or target, the more damage the subject does to their throat. The subject will begin bleeding if pushed too far.

10-17-XXXX: Day 253: Subject has grown too attached to caretaker. Caretaker will be disposed of.

10-25-XXXX: Day 261: Target has succeeded in interrogation training.

10-29-XXXX: Day 265: Target has succeeded in torture training.

10-30-XXXX: Day 266: Target has been given a hysterectomy.

11-04-XXXX: Day 271: Target attacked a guard. Protocols will be put into effect immediately.

11-05-XXXX: Day 272: Target was given a high-tech electric muzzle. Target began panicking and tried to claw it off. Target was shocked with the muzzle as a deterrent. Subject passed out from the pain.

11-06-XXXX: Day 273: Target was given a straight jacket to keep them from harming themselves further. Straight jacket is only to be removed before feeding or work.

12-25-XXXX: Day 322: Subject succeeded in first kill without use of abilities.

05-24-XXXX: Day 473: Subject has grown restless and hostile. Will be wiped if they fail to show improvement.

06-02-XXXX: Day 482: Subject will be wiped. Hostility has grown to be too difficult to handle. At 1300 hours the subject will be strapped to the chair and have their memory cleansed.

06-03-XXXX: Day 483: Second memory wipe. First failed.

06-15-XXXX: Day 495: Subject will be wiped a third time and given trigger words.

06-17-XXXX: Day 497: Trigger words successful. Subject is ready to comply.

07-4-XXXX: Day 1706: Subject killed guards after being released from straight jacket for feeding. Subject will be wiped.

05-03-XXXX: Day 6027: Subject has perfected all weapons training.

02-07-XXXX: Day 7768: Subject has shown signs of regaining memories. Subject will be wiped.

The group sits in silence once they're done reading. Most dates held very little information but some went into much further detail. Thinking of some of those things happening to someone so young for so long is sickening. Bucky appears the most shaken out of the group, knowing exactly what you went through. If they hadn't of found you, you'd probably go through it for as long as he did. It was obvious they planned to keep you as long as possible since they put you into cryo.

"What now?" Clint questions, breaking the quiet atmosphere.

"Now we question her." Steve sighs, running his hand over his face. "We'll have to figure out how, though. From what the file says, it's dangerous to let her speak."

"What about sign language?" Clint shrugs as he gives his suggestion.

Steve nods slightly. "There's no mention of her knowing it in her files but there's still a chance she does. If not, we'll probably have to resort to letting her write."

"What about the jacket?" Wanda frowns, remembering the uncomfortable looking leather that was wrapped securely around you.

"We'll have to remove it. I doubt we'll have to worry too much. She likely won't try to fight us without having access to her ability." Tony stands from his seat as he makes his way towards the door.

A few of the others follow after him- Clint since he knows sign language the best due to being partially deaf, Natasha and Steve because they were the ones that found you, and Bucky because he understands what you went through. Tony will be leading the interrogation while the others watch. Clint will only come in if it's confirmed you know sign language and the others will simply watch unless you become hostile. Hopefully they can get some answers.
