This was a demo I put together while I was in this limbo state waiting for my second mixtape to drop. I think I spent almost everyday until February 22nd just walking around the suburbs in my parent's community just listening to my mixtape over and over. It's funny how that instant gratification of just listening to things you've already made hits so good, you feel like you could never make anything again. But I still wanted to force myself to work on something. This is what came out. I loved the idea of this song being a sort of epilogue to the themes presented on my mixtape: love, limerence, yearning. The internal push and pull you feel when you love someone you can't have. My issue with this song is that I never could figure out the vocal mixing, or how to lay harmonies down for it. Maybe I haven't quite gotten into the flow state I tapped into for when I made Blocking Paradise on my last project (I made that shit in 10 minutes it felt like I was getting electrocuted by spirit). Either way, this morning I went back to the project because the song just kept getting stuck in my head randomly. I figured that I'd just do whatever I can to the song and post it unfinished. I've never done that before so here's to trying new things. But yeah.. this is the idea I had for a bittersweet ending of an era of mine. I'm so fucking stoked for the next one.
