I started a new conversation with an Author on Ao3 and I like that he atleast listens to what I have to say and seems very talented.

like Katarina got to discover her love for Sword play here even if it's only fists right now. And I'm reminded once again why I hate OG Keith again, of course he has that conversation when Katarina is miles away and can't defend herself I hope someone points that out for Maria.

That is surprisingly something I didn't think about. He is justified in warning Maria as he was hurt the most by Katarina.

However, him and Geordo have the most important connection to both Maria and Katarina. If Keith realises that they are both getting together, it would probably hurt him the most and I can see him trying to continue convincing Maria to be wary of her.

And Katarina was justified in trying to protect her mother from what she experienced as a hostile invader who seemingly caused direct harm to her and had been no to already show homicidal tendency (it was justified by his "Brothers", but we know Katarina wasn't even half as bad as any one of them) remember Katarina's parents has a mostly loving when even a bit cold relationship because of the misunderstanding and Keith's arrival basically ruined everything and Katarina just wanted to protect her family.

And Keith doing this while Katarina is far away and can't even get a single word in is extremely cowardly, especially when Maria is just worried for Katarina.

I get not liking Keith for trying to warn Maria away from Katarina, but honestly I wouldn't call his timing cowardly. Keith is justifiably wary of Katarina because of how she's treated him in the past, it makes sense he'd think that a time when he knows she's not around to overhear/interrupt is his best chance to talk to Maria about anything personal or in depth. Remember, he has zero faith Katarina's kindness is genuine and is trying to make sure she doesn't hurt or take advantage of Maria, in a way that to me feels more about not trusting Katarina than wanting to get closer to Maria ahead of his rivals.

Note: It seems like Keith is the only boy to catch on how much progress Katarina's made in getting closer to Maria, but sinse he thinks it's a ploy of some sort I doubt he sees her as the rival she is. Doesn't help that even Katarina hasn't caught on yet that her hat's in the game.

I still find it cowardly, tell me honestly and truly even someone would act this way with you, telling one of you friends horrible things while you're for example when you're on Vacation in Malorca and can't say a thing to defend yourself with the explicit intent to destroy your friendship, would you find that okay?
