My December Reflections from The Confident Woman Devotional by Joyce Meyer
Covenant Rights
“And [the cripple] bowed himself and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I am?
-2 Samuel 9:8
The cripple in this verse is Mephibosheth. A cripple since youth.
The grandson of King Saul and son of Jonathan a covenant friend of David.
Mephibosheth had poor self image making him fearful when David sent for him despite his father’s and grandfather’s legacy.
David blessed Mephibosheth with servants and land.
Having a poor self image can make us feel fearful and unworthy toward God and people.
The truth is, God loves us unconditionally.
He sent Jesus to die for our sins so we could have a relationship with Him, blessings and everlasting life. This is God’s covenant with us.
A covenant is a legal and binding contract that can never be broken.
“For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (TPT)
Lord, thank You for bringing us into a covenant relationship through the blood of Jesus. We praise You for bringing us to Your table where we can fellowship with You. Amen
Hope you were blessed and encouraged! :)
Stay safe :)
To God be the glory.

Then Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my Lord the king has commanded his servant, so will your servant do.” “As for Mephibosheth,” said the king, “he shall eat at my table like one of the king’s sons.” 2 Samuel 9:11 RVR1960 #rey #conforme #siervo #comera #mesa #mesadelrey #hijosdelrey #2Samuel #2Samuel9 #2Samuel911 #versiculo #promesa #rescate #salida #oportunidad #king #David #commanded #servant #eat #kingstable #kingssons #dailyverse #promise #rescue #oportunity #desire #mercy #forget #pardon #remember https://www.instagram.com/p/BqZJyIcB0h3N8BOlAlIptlqFkqQPn4vnOZPJPU0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=lbwhikoe946b

Many people believe that family should never go against their own "blood". But what if that "blood" has "bad blood" against another person... out of pure jealousy? Or any number of sin?.. Saul's son Jonathan knew better. Although his father was trying to Kill David, Jonathan chose a path that was pleasing to the Lord by helping David escape (God will give you favor in unlikely times). In doing so, Jonathan received a generational blessing that was passes down to his son... are you willing to step up for the truth? #2Samuel9:1 #2Samuel9v1  #HeavenlyGlimpse #SeekandFind #Christian #bible #bibleverse #God #Jesus #Pray #PowerOfPrayer #christianblogger #Grace #GodCan #ButGod #Believe #Amen #Faith #peace #praying #JesusLovesYou #Blessed #Blessings #HolySpirit #Hallelujah #Encouragement #RelationshipOverReligion #GodIsLove #FaithIt
