I just think, in my less than humble opinion, that if they're going to stick a notorious privateer into the game and make him drop a tone of seafaring references then his design should make my timbers shiver and every one of his spicy premium stories should have MC say that his beard tickles the inside of her thighs. And I just don't think White Haired Anime Boy #3 is gonna do that.

While Lilja's being brought back into training, I'm taking lessons with Fjara to teach her to use those damn hind muscles to not trip and fall constantly. My dad's fallen off her three times due to tripping and he's not quite capable of helping Fjara get that posture back in the right place.

So here I am, risking my life (don't know her quite well enough under the saddle and I am not a courageous person)and limbs (I've got about 6 bruises on my legs now due to Fjara casually scraping past trees with my leg) to get miss ma'am back into proper shape and see if my dad gets the courage to ride her a bit again.

We've been working on leadership with groundwork, we're working on fixing that very lateral tölt (she's making quite a lot of progress already!), asking her for trot (did short bursts of trot today) and canter because last time I got one jump and she went straight into something resembling pace. Today I got:

a buck when I gave her the cue for canter

more pace

then three strides of canter before a very lateral tölt

a decent tölt, followed by a sort of scramble only a five gaited horse can manage

and then all of a sudden things clicked, Fjara went 'oh!', I learned what going very fast really means, and we cantered properly.

It's so funny, this horse is so fast in (re)developing her skills. With Lilja it's never gone this smooth, and it kind of makes me realise what a huge difference between training these two horses have had.

Also, extremely different personalities.

What i love about sara taylor from step right up adventure isle is not cause she's just really pretty (even tho she is and i love that about her obviously) but it's that she looks like her design was actually pulled out of a creepypasta, she fits the vibe of a early 2000's victim of those stories so well down to the ripped up jeans, the shoe's, the un-tied laces, the hair and sweater, and the beanie.

like as a original design, she's a perfect representation of a horror victim but still managing to look pretty cool and have her own fun personality and likes.

and you want her to survive SO bad.

Can I just say something?

I kept this in my draft because I was nervous to bring it up (I have some other controversial posts in my drafts that I may post at some point in the future but I'm less worried about this one compared to the others at the moment) I was thinking about the season 2 finale and the season 3 premiere and feel free to disagree with me here all you like, but I think some people can be forgetting that there was a 6 month time skip in between? It may seem like Kanan got past his blindness problem too quickly but that's not technically the case, it was just never shown unfortunately.

the way sidestep ortega and chen are forever tied to each other by heartbreak mostly/especially because they cannot talk about it to each other or those who weren't there. the way that dannys feelings reflect a general truth which is that as long as they dont talk about it there will always be a wall between them and everyone else. the way they don't even get the full comfort of the quiet knowledge that at least these two other people know exactly what you went trough due to the telepathic nature of the event. the way we know the least about heartbreak from ortega's perspective who came closest to experiencing it "objectively"

sorry like again it’s so funny to me that people don’t realise tommy's annoying on purpose. as like. a joke. it’s bizarre to me the amount of people that think he’s actually immature like he honestly isn’t? like when he streams he's so different to how he is on youtube (unless he’s doing bits). and like. you’re meant to laugh at the annoying persona he comes up with. if you think he’s an obnoxious brat that’s the point. the joke is meant to be on himself. “why is he so immature” because he's making a joke that he's a shitty kid like if you actually listen to any of his serious talks he's usually pretty mature and respectful actually. and if you listen to like literally anyone talk about him he's apparently like that off camera too. being an obnoxious idiot is the joke because it makes it funny whenever he fails at things. does he take it too far sometimes? yeah but like. taking the bit too far is different from actually being a terrible person lol.
