Day 5: Yokai Nukekubi

Again from what I researched of this yokai, (I'm still not sure from the information I read 😅) they have some similarities with the Rokurokubi yokai, and yes, they also gave me ideas.

I decided to use this as a excuse to draw RacchusRefrain's oc Takumi, one of the competitors from the Kilos Point OCT

I decided to do MinionKingKarl's #YokaiJuly challenge on Twitter. I was already a little behind when I decided to join and I didn't fall too behind on my other projects so these will all be inked sketches, just so I can get them done quickly.

A couple of extra challenges I decided to give my self was to depict the yakai in the modern day (like what I do with my amabie) and give them each name as well.

This yokai is very interesting and I perceive it very strong, powerful, I think from here I will get an idea of an OC, and possibly be an enemy for Sombra Lunar (?, but first I must develop it well and better

For this yokai I was also inspired by "Kappa Mikey" which as I understand it they use it for a Japanese expression that is out of the water, (of their environment)

A young and inexperienced Kappa who wants to be a hero

I hope I have found the concept of the yokai and not confuse it with the mermaid or newt, but also from here it gives me ideas to create a new OC and apart that I have long wanted to draw this type of creatures 👀

Sorry, I can not stop associating this yokai with the Pokémon Mawile 😅, but still this type of yokai also gives me ideas to create a new OC
