Damian, pointing to the sky : And that is Perseus's constellation, which contains in it a star called Al Ghul, mostly known as the Demon Star. It is one of the best-known eclipsing binaries, the first of its kind to be discovered, and also one of the earliest generally known variable stars. Al Ghul's magnitude regularly fluctuates between 2.3 and 3.5 with a period of 2 days, 20 h and 49 min. As an eclipsing binary, it actually consists of two stars orbiting each other. Because Earth lies in their orbital plane, the fainter star B passes in front of the brighter star A once per orbit, and the amount of light reaching Earth temporarily decreases. A fun fact about it is that, to be more precise, however, Al Ghul star is a triple star system: the eclipsing binary pair is separated by only 0.062 AU, while the third star C lies at an average distance of 2.69 AU from the pair and its orbital period is 681 days (1.86 years). The total mass of the system is approximately 5.8 solar masses, and the mass ratio between A, B, and C is 4.5:1:2.

Damian: Mother told Todd and me about this when I was little child, and Todd used to say that as long as that star was shining in the sky we all would always be together no matter what... A little too cheesy, isn't it? But it makes me feel happy thinking about that when I look at it...
