you feel him before you hear him — warm breath on your shoulder, the slow drag of his fingers tracing nothing in particular on your waist. outside, the monaco sun is spilling through the windows like honey, but you’re not ready for the day yet. apparently, neither is he.

“don’t go,” lando mumbles, voice hoarse with sleep, lips brushing against your skin. “not yet.”

you let out a quiet laugh, shifting slightly under the weight of his arm. he just tightens his hold.

“baby, i have to be in hair and makeup in—”

“shhh,” he says, so softly it’s more air than sound. “they can wait. i can’t.”

you turn your head, just enough to catch a glimpse of him. his curls are a mess, his eyes still half-closed, but there’s something ridiculously sweet about the way he’s looking at you. like you’re the only thing that makes sense this early in the morning.

“lando…”

“please,” he breathes, pressing a slow, lazy kiss to your shoulder. “just five more minutes. i’ll set a timer.”

you roll onto your side, face to face now, and he grins like he’s already won. you can feel the heat of him, bare skin against yours beneath the sheets, his thumb now brushing the dip of your hip like he’s memorizing it.

“you’re clingy in the mornings,” you whisper.

“i’m clingy all the time,” he shrugs. “you’re just too busy to notice.”

you laugh softly, your fingers slipping into his curls. he leans into your touch like he’s been waiting for it all night.

“fine,” you murmur, nose brushing his. “five more minutes.”

“liar,” he whispers, smiling against your lips. “you’ll stay longer.”

the uber was quiet, the soft hum of the city slipping past the windows. your dress shimmered faintly every time the car passed under a streetlight. lando sat beside you, already half turned toward you, practically vibrating.

he hadn’t said anything for the past minute. just kept looking at you.

you sighed, smiling. “what.”

his voice was quiet. “you’re not real.”

you turned your head, trying to stay focused. “stop it.”

“no, seriously,” he said, sliding his hand onto your thigh like it belonged there. “you got in the car and i forgot how to be a person.”

you leaned away just a little as he tilted toward you. “lando. makeup.”

“i’ll be careful.”

“you won’t be.”

he grinned, shameless. “you can’t prove that.”

you dodged again when he leaned in for a kiss. this time he actually whined. “babyyy”

you laughed, low and breathy. “i spent forty-five minutes on this face. don’t make me regret it.”

he flopped dramatically back against the seat, hand over his chest. “you’re cruel. i just want to kiss you one time. a little one. corner of the mouth. zero lip smudge, i swear.”

you turned your head and raised an eyebrow. “you have the worst aim.”

he gasped. “untrue. i am an elite motorsport athlete. my aim is literally my job.”

you rolled your eyes, fighting a smile, and reached over to take his hand instead. he relaxed instantly, his thumb brushing lazy circles over your fingers.

after a moment, quieter this time, he said, “you really do look insane. like… i don’t have words. you walked out of the hotel room and i actually had to sit down for a second.”

you glanced at him. his hair was slightly messy from the wind, tie loosened just the way he liked it. his eyes were soft. no teasing now. just full, heart-eyed affection.

“thank you,” you murmured.

he squeezed your hand. “i’m so screwed.”

you laughed again, softly, just as the car pulled up outside the venue. lando was out first, jogging around the car like he was on a mission, pulling the door open for you with that slightly-boyish, proud look on his face.

you stepped out and he let out the smallest sound — somewhere between a sigh and a gasp.

“see,” he said under his breath, slipping his arm around your waist as flashes went off nearby. “you are trying to kill me.”

you leaned into him slightly. “still no kisses.”

“but i opened the door for you.”

“and i appreciate it.”

he grinned, leaned in again like he couldn’t help it. this time he brushed his lips just barely over your temple. safe. delicate. reverent.

“i’m gonna be so annoying tonight,” he whispered. “you have no idea.”

“i already do.”

his smile turned into a smirk. “you love it.”

and god, you really, really did.

the ballroom is glowing — golden light, the soft murmur of voices, champagne bubbling in tall glasses. you're not even all the way in before lando's hand finds yours again, fingers laced like he needs the contact.

and then, once you're standing by your table, he’s behind you. arms slipping around your waist. chin resting lightly on your shoulder.

you laugh under your breath. “clingy tonight?”

he hums. “yeah. can’t help it. you look like this and expect me to act normal?”

you reach up to touch his hand where it rests against your stomach, his grip warm and a little too tight to be casual.

“you’re being obvious,” you murmur.

“good,” he says, lips brushing the shell of your ear. “i want everyone to know you’re mine.”

your breath catches. and just like that, your heartbeat stutters.

he leans in closer, so only you can hear. “you’re not even trying and i can’t take my eyes off you.”

you tilt your head slightly, pretending to watch the stage as a host starts speaking — but his voice is low and dangerous and soft behind you.

“you smell so good. your skin’s warm. your back’s bare. and you keep brushing your hips against me like you don’t know what you’re doing.”

“lando,” you warn quietly, barely moving your lips.

he just smiles against your cheek. “you look so pretty when you pretend you’re not blushing.”

you turn your head slightly, enough to bump his nose. “you said you’d behave.”

“i lied.”

you try not to smile but it’s useless. his hand slides down a little — not inappropriate, just enough to make you feel it.

then, quieter, sweeter: “i love seeing you like this,” he says. “in your element. confident. glowing. happy. it’s making me fall for you all over again.”

you pause, still facing forward, but your fingers squeeze his where they’re resting just beneath your ribs.

he presses a slow kiss to your shoulder. “i’ll shut up now.”

you don’t want him to.

Class 1-A with someone with a Ganyu type personality

- When it comes to academics, you're among the top students in the class being extremely intelligent and excel in basically every subject, however, you forget things easily and have to study extra hard to remember better

- When it comes to combat, oh, oh, everyone in the entire class is terrified for even the possibility to have to go up against you in a one on one match

- Whenever you have to go against anyone from the class you always make sure to go all out in order to get the best mark possible, because of that, matches against you last 7 seconds max, at the moment you're the strongest person in the class, sometimes it's a bit overkill but anything for a good mark right?

- The longest match you've ever had was when you had to go against Bakugou, he ended up losing but he's proud of himself for not getting his ass beat in the first minute

- You have two quirks, similar to Todoroki, one of them is only visible from the outside, similar to Ojiro, but instead of a tail you have these horns on your head, like a Quilin, the illuminated beast, they don't do anything, they're just kinda...there, you're not too fond of them either, you hate when people ask to touch them or try to feel them without permission from you, at first you had told everyone they were just hair pieces but obviously no one actually believed you

- You to tend overwork yourself...a lot, the class tries their best to make you take breaks every once in a while since they've realised that you wouldn't on your own but you always end up heading straight back to your work

- It's most common to find you hauled up in your dorm studying and taking down notes form the classes from that specific day, all of your notes are so neat too, not a single thing out of place and everything is colour coordinated so it's easier to remember certain things

- You tend to get really drowsy at all times of the day and it really doesn't help when you're trying to pay attention during class, you've tried energy drinks, spicy things and even a healthier diet, and still nothing's worked, there have even been times where you've asked Kaminari to shock you so you'd stay awake

- Because of your Qilin counterpart, you're strictly vegetarian and since you have a keen sense of smell you're able to perfectly detect how something was cooked and what was used while making it, because of that it's caused a lot of incidents where Sato or Momo have tried to offer you something and you've had to decline

- Momo once tried to give you some vegetable fritters but she didn't know they were fried using animal fat and you had to explain why you couldn't have any

- Sato always makes sure whenever he offers you any of his sweets that they're all vegan so you'd be able to try them since he values your opinions on them since he's trying out more vegan recipes, he also tries to make them healthier since he knows you value you diet so he'll make more sugar free things for you as well

- Bakugou doesn't admit it and most likely never will, but it's obvious that he's intimidated by you because of your strength, it's also kind of ironic since you're one of the most soft spoken students in the class

- Deku always gets mesmerized whenever he sees your notes, his are really messy and kind of all over the place and yours are so well put together, not a single thing from the lesson is missed out and it's all colour coordinated, he won't lie, he's been tempted to steal your notes once or twice just because of how pretty they are whenever he compares his to yours

- Iida looks at you with the utmost respect he can give, to him you're exactly what a model student should be like, polite, smart, strong and well-mannered, he's always viewed you in a good light, especially since you're always so kind to him

Prom.

The classes are over. Everybody runs outside excited to enjoy their summer. Eli puts all his books in his backpack carefully and stops at the door to tie his shoelaces.

"They're going to ruin prom! Not that I care, but my friends do." he hears Claire whispering on the corridors.

"Dude, I promised Darci. If I have to leave because one of those weird things attacked us again she'll kill me!" Toby cried. Eli didn't mean to be nosy, but 'those weird things' could only mean creepers and every information about them was important.

"Don't worry guys, nothing bad is gonna happen. You have my word: the Trollhunter will be there." Jim said calmly. The what now? Eli tries to get closer to listen but they're already walking away, the conversation fading.

Steve rings the doorbell to Eli's house and waits impatiently. The text seemed so urgent, he was worried his friend was sick or hurt. It didn't help when Eli's mom opened the door and told him to go upstairs without saying much.

He gave a quick knock on the bedroom door.

"Hey Pepperbuddy, it's me. Are you okay?"

Eli opened the door looking around and pulled Steve inside his room.

"I'm okay" Eli stood beside his conspiracy board and gestured vaguely to the room, which as full of papers, markers and pictures just laying around everywhere.

"You sure dude? What's happening?" Steve picked up a few papers from the bed so he could sit down.

"Jim, Claire and Toby are onto something again" Eli announced, pointing to a picture of the three in the board.

"What?"

"I heard them talking about the creepers today at school. They said there's gonna be one at prom"

"Oh my god no way" Steve looked down at the papers on his hands, examining the theories. A cute little doodle of a person in armor holding a sword caught his attention.

"What's this?"

"Jim said something about a Trollhunter. I guess they hunt trolls. He said they're gonna be there too!" Eli grabbed the paper from Steve's hands excitedly and pinned it to the board. "We HAVE to see it!"

"Ooh, a mysterious warrior. Alright, we just have to go to prom then"

"Yeah, but everybody is already paired up. I asked all the boys" Eli sits beside him on the bed, sighing defeatedly.

"Yeah, I know. And I asked the boys AND the girls!" Steve laughs. It's funny because people always think bisexuals have double chances but here he is, not having any. Unless...

"What if we go together?" He suggests. Eli looks up at Steve surprised. "I-I mean, as Creepslayerz! This way we can spy on them and see if we can meet this trollhunter or whatever..."

Eli considers, his heart beating fast. This is not how he dreamed it would happen but he figured it was the closest he'll ever get to going to prom with his crush. And Steve was right, it was a good plan.

What could go wrong?

"Okay. Yeah. Makes sense."

"Cool, cool, cool." Steve pretends to check something on his phone and gets up. "I gotta go. But I'll pick you up at 6 tomorrow, sounds good?"

Eli nodded as Steve left his room.

He hoped on his vespa, his hands shaking. Oh my god he just asked Eli to go to prom with him. Oh my god. His smile was so big he couldn't hide it even if he wanted.

"With a smile this big I'm assuming you've got a date for the dance?" Coach Lawrence elbows him and winks the second he gets home.

"Oh, I'm just going with Eli. We're buddies now" Steve heads upstairs, afraid of what Lawrence is going to say.

"Whatever makes you happy, son!" he shouts. Steve looks over his shoulder only to see his dad smiling. Huh. So he's cool with that. He smiles back before going to his room.

The next day Steve gets ready with his beautiful navy blue suit and drives to Eli's house to pick him up. He wasn't nervous until he sees him. Eli is wearing a dark green suit with a matching bowtie, his hair slicked back. Steve always knew he was cute but he wasn't ready for this. Eli's mother runs outside to take pictures of them before they leave. They are both blushing by the time they hop on the vespa.

"Sorry about that, my mom was excited. I think it's because I don't get to wear suits a lot"

"She's right. It's a nice suit and you look good." Steve compliments him sincerely, turning the vespa on.

Eli smiles, holding Steve's back.

"Thanks. You look good too."

The second they arrive at the party, they start looking around for their targets.

"Hey, I think I see Jim. Wait here" Steve leaves and Eli exhales a nervous breath he didn't even notice he was holding.

"Oh hey Eli, you made it!"

"Who's the lucky guy?" Darci and Mary greet him.

"Hi! So, don't freak out! I'm here with Steve"

"OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING!" Mary throws her hands in the air excitingly.

"Nothing is happening!! We're just friends hanging out, that's it"

"Whatever you say Pepperjack, but you had a crush on him since forever so like, at least enjoy it" Mary advises him.

"I'll try" he smiles. They pat him on the shoulder and walk to their dates. He looks over to Steve coming in this direction with two drinks on his hands. Behind him, he sees Claire and Jim talking with angry expressions.

"I brought you fruit punch!" Steve exclaims, handing him a red cup and drinking a little bit of his. He makes a repulsed face. "Ew this is disgusting, don't drink that"

Eli laughs at his date. Maybe enjoying tonight won't be so hard. But he still has to focus.

"What are they saying?" he nods to Claire and Jim's direction.

"I think they're arguing. I didn't want to be invasive." Steve shrugs.

"Yeesh... We should keep an eye on them either way."

They follow the couple around for a little bit, trying to be as sneaky as they can. It doesn't work too well, as Steve notices a few people looking at them.

"We should dance." Steve suggests.

"What? Why?"

"People are looking at us. If we blend in nobody is going to notice that we're spying on Lake"

"Oh. Right." Eli says, a little disappointed. "There's only one problem... I can't dance" He admits.

"Of course you can! C'mon!" Steve offers his hand.

Hs takes it and the second they step on the dance floor, the music changes to a slow ballad. Eli looks over at the dj who just gives him a thumbs up. He shakes his head. Mary probably told him to do it. Steve's hands are on his hips before he could even think. He places his other hand on the taller boy's shoulder, looking at their feet.

"Now what?"

"Just let me guide you, okay? It's gonna be fine"

"Okay."

As they start dancing around and he finds himself more comfortable, he finally dares to look up. Steve is smiling, his cheeks a beautiful red, his hair perfectly placed, his eyes soft, wondering around Eli's face like he's memorizing every little freckle. Eli gets lost into his shiny hazel eyes and, for a second, it feels like it's only them.

Shit, it's not only them! And they're supposed to be spying on people!

Eli is the first to break eye contact.

"Um... Do you see them anywhere? It's so dark in here." he squints looking around.

"I don't know, they're probably making out somewhere" Steve laughs through his nose, but never taking his eyes off Eli. "You know what? I don't care. It's prom, let's give ourselves a break." he offers.

Honestly, how could Eli say no to this face? He whispers a small "okay" before smiling back and resting his head on Steve's chest.

The rest of the party goes smoothly. They don't see Claire and Jim anymore that night, but Toby was still there with Darci, which means Steve was probably right so they just decide to dance, laugh with their friends and have the time of their lives.

"I'm sorry we lost them" Steve apologizes as they get to Eli's house at the end of the night.

"It's okay, we'll try again next time" he shrugs, turning to face Steve.

"We should this more often though... Just hanging out... It was fun" Steve blushes, scratching his neck nervously and staring at him with those melty soft eyes. Is he... trying to flirt? Eli decides to take the risk, kissing him on the cheek.

"We should. I had a great time"

He runs inside before Steve could react. Not that he was reacting much, standing there dumbfounded with his hand on his cheek and a silly smile on his face.

The night didn't go as expected, Eli thinks, laying down on his bed. They didn't get any creepers, didn't meet any mysterious warrior and it was not the most romantic movie-like prom ever.

But he was with Steve and they had a great time together. So he wouldn't have it any other way.

y/n had fallen asleep halfway through the movie, curled up on the couch like she always did — blanket halfway on, hair in a loose mess, hand reaching out towards them even in her sleep. kimi had been the first to notice she was out cold. he nudged eli gently, then pointed.

“again,” he whispered, smiling a little.

eli looked over from where she was washing up mugs in the kitchen. “she looks so peaceful,” she whispered back.

kimi wandered over and pulled the blanket up over y/n’s legs, careful not to wake her. he stood there for a second too long, just looking.

eli noticed. she dried her hands slowly, her eyes soft.

“you’re so obvious,” she said gently, teasing without any bite.

kimi’s cheeks flushed, but he didn’t deny it. he just sat down at the kitchen table and said, “you like her too.”

eli blinked, then walked over and sat beside him. her smile tugged a little crooked. “that obvious, huh?”

kimi didn’t look at her — he was still watching y/n, like something about her sleeping face was keeping him grounded.

“i keep trying not to,” he said. “not because i don’t want to. i do. it’s just… i love you. and this thing with us — it’s real. i didn’t want to mess it up.”

eli was quiet for a moment. then she reached across the table, took his hand.

“kimi,” she said. “i love you too. so much. and i love her.” she laughed a little under her breath. “i think i’ve been in love with her longer than i realized.”

kimi’s eyes flicked over to hers, wide and a little hopeful.

“really?”

she nodded. “yeah. she makes me feel like… like the best version of myself. i didn’t know love could feel that easy.”

kimi’s voice softened. “me too. she just… gets us. both of us.”

they sat there for a few moments, holding hands, hearts too full to speak.

“i think she already knows,” eli said eventually, glancing over at y/n again. “we’re not that subtle.”

kimi smiled, eyes still on y/n. “the way i look at her?”

“the way we look at her,” eli corrected, grinning.

then she stood and tiptoed over, kneeling next to the couch. gently, she brushed y/n’s hair back from her face. kimi came over and crouched beside her, the two of them looking at her like she was the softest thing in the whole world.

eli whispered, “we should probably wait until she’s awake to tell her.”

kimi chuckled quietly. “yeah. i want her to actually hear it when i say i’m in love with her.”

“me too.”

they stayed there, side by side, quietly holding onto each other — and holding space for the girl they both loved. not in halves. not in competition. just more.

the rain was steady outside, tapping quietly on the windows like a soft soundtrack just for you. inside, everything felt warm and slow — the candle flickering on the table, the smell of vanilla hanging in the air, and you curled up on the couch with eli’s hoodie slipping off one shoulder.

eli was leaning against you, her fingers playing with the edge of your blanket, and kimi was sitting on the floor nearby, watching the rain but sneaking glances at you both.

there was something in the way they looked at you — softer than usual, like they were holding something back.

eli finally shifted so she could meet your eyes, voice low and a little shy. “hey, y/n?”

you blinked awake and gave a small smile. “yeah?”

kimi scooted closer to the couch, his hand brushing against yours like he was checking if it was okay to hold on. you didn’t move away.

“we’ve been talking,” kimi said, sounding nervous but steady, “about how we feel. about you.”

eli nodded, biting her lip like she was trying not to grin too much. “it’s kind of scary to say, but we both love you.”

your heart did a weird little flip. you weren’t sure if you were more nervous or happy — maybe both.

kimi reached up and gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “i love you, y/n. it’s been this way for a while now.”

eli squeezed your hand, her eyes bright. “me too. i love you so much.”

warmth spread through you, a quiet kind of happiness that made everything feel easier, lighter.

“you don’t have to say anything right now,” eli said softly, leaning in to kiss your temple, “we just wanted you to know.”

kimi kissed your forehead, slow and sure, like he was promising you something that didn’t need words.

your hands moved on their own, tracing their faces — one on kimi’s cheek, the other on eli’s jaw.

“i love you both,” you said, voice barely above a whisper but steady. “more than i ever thought i could.”

eli smiled, that kind of smile that makes you want to laugh and cry all at once, and kissed your cheek softly.

kimi chuckled, leaning in to press a warm kiss just under your jaw.

you melted into them, your fingers weaving through their hair, your heart so full it felt like it might burst.

they wrapped you up in their arms — a messy, perfect hug — and you felt like you were exactly where you were supposed to be.

outside, the rain kept falling, soft and steady, like the world was quiet and waiting with you.
