Hey gang,
So, some folks who wish there was *more* romance content for Lucanis are spreading AI generated scenes of Rook and Lucanis making out.
I am instantly blocking these accounts. Also, I can't say this strongly enough: don't fucking use AI to make fandom content.
Draw. Write. Edit videos. Make mods. Be a human being engaging with media you love.
DO NOT. FUCKING USE. FUCKING AI. TO MAKE FUCKING. FANDOM. WORKS.

I know people say you can't spot AI writing but since ChatGPT became a widely known resource, so many people suddenly write in the same way, using the same grammar, the same list styles, the same commercial vocabulary, the same spelling, the same punctuation, the same everything.
And I have tried to give people the benefit of the doubt, until I started to see people slip up in what they've copy-pasted and seeing the odd post and comment and other online correspondence of theirs start with "Absolutely! Here is a strong response that will..."
I used to follow various accounts on social media ran by people who would write posts or write interesting descriptions on their videos or photos - I could tell whose post I was reading by their writing, use of words, punctuation and attitude. Now, I look at my feeds on social media and it feels like the exact same person has written every post on every individual account I follow.
So many people use AI to write the simplest, shortest posts and comments and articles and you know it. I know it. We all know it. (And I don't get it because it takes longer to enter the prompt into ChatGPT, get a response, copy-paste and post it than it does to just... Write the short four sentence post)
I'm done giving people the benefit of the doubt. If I think it's AI, I am unfollowing. Simple as that. And if you see me reblog or like something that seems AI please tell me so that I can delete it off of my blog and unlike it.

I’m sorry Grammarly but your ads for an “AI writing partner” could not be falling on more deaf ears

The UK has just experienced its warmest and sunniest spring on record, and the driest in more than 130 years.
Per press release, England's Environment Agency convened a National Drought Group meeting on 5th June 2025 - following the driest March, April, and May since 1893 - to discuss the latest outlook and hear from water companies about steps they are taking to prepare for the summer.
Water Minister Emma Hardy: "We face a water shortage in the next decade."
Dr Will Lang, Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office: "Looking further ahead, the chance of a hot summer is higher than normal with an associated increased risk of heatwaves and related impacts."
Sarah Keith-Lucas, the BBC's Lead Weather Presenter explains the impact of extreme heat on drought: "extreme heat increases evaporation of moisture from the ground leading to drier ground. Drier ground heats up more quickly, which in turn pushes the temperature of the air above it even higher."
The area of the UK burnt by wildfires this year (as of 27th April, so not including wildfires that have occured since then) is already higher than the total for any year in more than a decade, a result of prolonged dry, sunny weather, and lack of rainfall in March and April.
And now, the Guardian reports this week that the Environment Agency cannot accurately predict how much water England will be short of in future decades, due to the boom in AI usage.
AI datacentres, which use vast quantities of water to cool their servers - preventing them from overheating and shutting down - are not required to report how much water they use. As a result, the EA cannot model for how much water - which largely comes from the public water supply - these datacentres may require in the years to come.
"The regulator added that the majority of datacentres were using the public water supply rather than alternative sources, and that they did not want this to stop, or [want] transparency over their figures."
Meanwhile, Keir Starmer, looking to boost the UK's AI infrastructure, has pledged £1bn of extra funding for AI compute – the microchips, processing units, and cabling that make AI systems function. 💩🙃
TL;DR - as temperatures rise and Spring months become increasingly drier, the UK is facing a water shortage, and the Environment Agency cannot even accurately predict how much water we will be short of because AI datacentres - which notoriously use a lot of water to cool their servers - do not have to report how much they use.

"no one asked for this, idk why i made this, i need to sleep but here's the anatomical (?) explanation so the pointy hair in the back mutates or something and becomes huge and pointy, perhaps an antidote side effect cumbersome? yes, but at least he can spin like a top now and that's what's important"
yeah.

I know I haven’t been writing a lot lately but I just want to encourage (beg) people to let themselves be bad at something. Please, please let yourself be a “mediocre” writer. In this modern world, it is so, so easy to just type a prompt into some machine and push a button to get something. But what you will receive is lifeless. It’s not yours. It’s nothing but a machine’s attempt to build something out of bits and pieces of other people’s hard work.
I know it’s hard to write. I know how it can hurt to put yourself out there. I know that kind of vulnerability is something we’re all so afraid of nowadays.
But you have to. You have to let yourself be bad at it. You have to let yourself be mediocre. You have to try and build something with your own two hands. It is worth it. It will always be worth it.
It’s easy to take shortcuts. But if you never let yourself be bad, you’ll never be great. I promise.

Hey so! I know you mean well but let me clarify something : Please Don't Send me AI Photos I absolutely despise AI and this is not a safe place for it. You can tell this is AI A few ways : - The Feet are rendered Like arms, And the Fingers , as always, are entirely incorrect. - The noses are Like dog noses. Not even flying foxes have dog-like snouts. - The face structure and placement is also incorrect, no bats have faces like those. - The Teeth - The list goes on but you gotta be careful when searching bat photos! In Google , Duckduckgo , or other search engines Amend the search By affixing -AI to the end of it

Drew Gooden posted a video today (30 June 2024) that I felt the urge to share here, and recommend to anyone(!) on the internet to watch it.
He articulated a frustration with AI-generated-content in a way that felt comprehensive and honest. The comments are also a breath of fresh air; a large community sharing their feelings and our common struggle as artists and art consumers. It’s a fun and silly video, yet simultaneously an informative take on the matter of AI.
“AI is ruining the internet”
