what would william & louis work in modern au? do u have any headcanon for them
Good question. I’ve based my ideas on their personalities in the manga, carefully considering key moments that reveal who they are. I believe these career paths suit them perfectly in a modern context. Dedication and commitment to their goals are defining traits of the brothers, so here’s my reasoning:
Despite the various discussions within the fandom about William’s potential involvement in criminology or profiling, he would most likely remain true to his original role in the work—a mathematics professor, an educator, and a man of science who teaches and researches. William’s drive to change people’s ways of thinking would still define him, leading him to conduct and participate in conferences, host seminars, and deliver lectures to students. Students, with their open and adaptable minds, are the demographic most ready to learn and understand the world they are preparing to navigate. I believe he would author numerous papers and books, not only on mathematics but also on planned economics.
As for Louis, in my view, he would be an excellent candidate for the position of head of an international banking consortium. With money, AI, and the trade market being pivotal factors in determining the stability of nations, Louis’s cool-headed, results-driven mindset makes him perfectly suited for such a role. Moreover, as someone dedicated to serving his country, he would undoubtedly establish ethical standards and excel at managing alliances, uniting divergent interests into a cohesive strategy. This role would also grant him transparency in transactions between major banks and provide him with an avenue to influence international organisations.

when you find a creative and interesting left-leaning wiki for a sci-fi setting...
but the creator is like also being fatphobic about it and also one of those people who buys into the moral panic about AI being "soulless"
my issue with the 'soulless' thing specifically being that it's an overplayed, point-missing argument that just kind of gets blindly regurgitated.
Why? Because even if we say it's objectively true... Then what?
It is art made by a tool.
Does a tool's output have to have 'soul' to be interesting or pleasing, all the sudden?
The automated machines in a factory have no 'soul', but I could still regard the craftsmanship of both said machines and their output to be a kind of artistry that has some form of value to me.
You could argue that this is disingenuous. That something pre-emptively designated as an art should therefore have soul, and it's different from when you merely happen to subjectively perceive artistry in something else.
But I'll be real. That to me just seems like a path to elitism and arrogance. The claim that you get some special right to pre-emptively designate art is, to me, only valid for the same reason that it's possible to see artistry in anything:
Because anything can be art if someone believes it is, and any attempt to make this belief conditional can easily end up being warped to use against you.
And already has, repeatedly, if 'digital art isn't real art' or general snobbery over using references or unpopular styles is anything to go by.
That's what makes 'soulless' such an unhelpful thing to say here. It just shares how you feel and offers nothing on *doing something* about it, beyond implying that the only solution is a ban to make *you* feel better, which just strikes me as a form of anxiety-driven, learn-nothing, risk-nothing avoidance.
A ban can't truly 'unsteal' anything. (Or even be fully effective or properly avoid false positives at this point, imo, basically reducing it to a non-solution that does little besides appease some people and *still* make things harder for honest folk)
Retroactive punishment would be so vague and speculative on what the specific 'damages' were that it'd inherently be arbitrary and unfair.
The only real option is to move forward through adaptation, which will have to mean applying better rules and ethics from then on only.
The Anti-Gen-AI stance also flies in the face of the democratic libertarian socialism the author seems to prefer. (and is kind of ironic, considering that the sci-fi culture guilty of this is otherwise rightfully demonized for being a once-great, once-democratic restrictive dictatorship)
so, to sum it up: I feel like throwing around 'soulless' as a critique has just become kind of pointless and non-actionable, except as a way of either venting (which is fine), or pearl-clutchy virtue-signalling that centers your hurt feelings above any practical action. (and as much as I want to be sympathetic, to me it seems like there's been quite a lot of overlap between the two)

Why Humanity Needs to Level Up

What if the challenges we face today are signals that humanity needs an upgrade? Throughout history, pivotal moments have demanded leaps in thinking and innovation. From the industrial revolution to the information age, progress has often required us to adapt at unprecedented speeds. Today, we stand at another crossroads, facing global challenges that demand nothing less than a collective evolution of mindset and behavior.
The State of the World
We are navigating a world plagued by financial instability, environmental crises, and rapid technological disruptions. Traditional systems, designed for a slower pace of change, are straining under the weight of modern complexity. Financial systems rely on outdated practices, environmental policies lag behind the urgency of climate change, and technological progress outpaces societal adaptation. These are not isolated issues; they are interconnected symptoms of a deeper need for transformation.
Lessons from Technology
Bitcoin is a prime example of a system born out of necessity to challenge inefficiencies and provide transparency. It is more than just a digital currency; it represents a shift in how we think about money, trust, and decentralized systems. By questioning the status quo, Bitcoin offers a glimpse into what’s possible when innovation is driven by purpose rather than profit. This mindset—one that embraces transparency and efficiency—is one we must adopt broadly if we are to address humanity’s greatest challenges.
The Human Brain as the Ultimate Tool
Human potential is vast, yet often untapped. Much like a computer running outdated software, we are constrained by systems of education and thinking that no longer serve us. To unlock our potential, we must first recognize that the brain itself is our most powerful tool. By embracing critical thinking, fostering creativity, and reprogramming our mental frameworks, we can meet the demands of an ever-changing world. This is what it means to level up.
Steps to Level Up
So, how can we begin this transformation? Here are some steps:
Embrace Change: Fear of the unknown holds us back. By learning about new technologies like Bitcoin or AI, we can adapt to and even shape the future.
Cultivate Critical Thinking: Question traditional systems. Why do they exist? Are they still relevant? This mindset opens doors to alternatives that may better serve humanity.
Collaborate: The greatest challenges require collective solutions. Building communities that work together, share knowledge, and innovate collaboratively is essential.
Vision for the Future
Imagine a world where humanity has embraced its full potential. Financial systems operate transparently, energy is abundant and sustainable, and innovation solves problems rather than creating them. This is not an unattainable dream but a future within reach if we commit to leveling up. With the right mindset, we can create a world that fosters equity, sustainability, and progress for all.
Call to Action
The time to act is now. Start your journey by taking one small step today. Learn about Bitcoin, explore decentralized technologies, or question a conventional norm you’ve always accepted. By doing so, you not only contribute to your own evolution but also to that of humanity as a whole. The future is ours to shape—if we choose to level up.

My Professional Journey…
Throughout my 20-years journey, I've learned to rely on my own strengths and talents. I have passout from NIFT Kolkata in 2002-2004 batch. BFA & MFA from Prachin Kala Kendra Chandigarh, despite having a good network of friends and fashion professionals, I've found that genuine support and opportunities have come from unexpected sources.

I've navigated the fashion industry for over two decades, facing numerous challenges and setbacks along the way. Without the support of influential connections or referrals, I've relied solely on my talent, dedication, and resilience to propel my career forward.
The absence of a strong professional network or mentors meant that I had to forge my own path, often through trial and error. Despite these obstacles, I remained committed to my passion for fashion design. I recognised that my creative talent was a valuable asset, one that I was determined to hone and showcase.
Throughout my journey, I've encountered various opportunities that have helped me grow both personally & professionally. These experiences have taught me the importance of adaptability, hard work, & perseverance in overcoming adversity.
One of the most significant lessons I've learned is the value of self-reliance and motivation. Without external support or encouragement, I've had to develop a strong sense of self-discipline and drive to push myself forward.
My struggles have also taught me the importance of continuous learning & skill development. Recognizing that the fashion industry is constantly evolving, I've made a conscious effort to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, AI Tools, technologies, design softwares & new garments construction techniques.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer only a vision of the future – it is a reality that is only set to grow more deeply integrated into our lives, and our kid’s education. Among the more fascinating trends AI is making its mark on is robotics in education is one of the most popular trends. With the help of AI in robotics learning, children are now learning with tools and experiences that were previously in the university laboratory section only. Kids’ robotics has become not only entertaining but also a valuable method of teaching children not only programming and mechanics but also problem-solving and creativity. We will briefly discuss how Artificial Intelligence is being incorporated into robotics education for children and what AI education could be in the future.
The Growing Role of AI in Robotics Education
AI and robotics education have brought a new dimension to this world. Conventional introduction to robotics needed coding knowledge, electronics, and mechanical engineering among other things. However, with the help of AI, learning robotics online is possible and interesting even for children of a younger age. AI makes it easier for kids to code since they are presented with interfaces and block-based programming that help them start with little struggle. Most of the AI platforms are developed with interactive graphical interface tools which makes it easy for young children to learn robotics even in class eight.
AI in STEM education not only enhances the learning process but also makes it more personalized. For instance, AI algorithms analyze how each child learns, their strengths and weaknesses, and adapt to offer customized lessons and challenges. This tailored learning experience allows children to progress at their own pace, which is essential for keeping them motivated and interested in STEM subjects like robotics.
Key Benefits of AI-Integrated Robotics for Kids
1. Engaging, Hands-On Learning Experiences

AI-powered robotics for kids enables interactive, practical learning. Rather than traditional, rote-based education, AI and robotics courses focus on real-world applications. For example, kids can learn to program a robot to solve a maze, follow a path, or respond to basic commands. These activities go beyond abstract learning, as children get to see their efforts result in real actions from a robot, boosting engagement and understanding.
2. Personalized Learning Paths with AI
One of the primary advantages of AI in education is its adaptability to individual learning styles and paces. Children have different ways of understanding and absorbing information, and a one-size-fits-all approach isn’t always effective. AI-driven platforms use algorithms to monitor a child’s progress, adapting content and difficulty levels to suit each learner’s needs.
For instance, if a child struggles with certain programming concepts, the AI can recommend exercises or tutorials to reinforce understanding. Conversely, if a child excels, the AI can introduce more challenging tasks to keep them engaged. This personalized learning approach is especially beneficial for kids, as they can learn robotics online without feeling pressured or frustrated. Personalized content encourages kids to explore topics more deeply, fostering curiosity and a genuine interest in learning.
3. Accessibility through Online Platforms
The rise of online learning platforms has made robotics education more accessible than ever. Families no longer need to invest in expensive robotics kits or travel to specialized workshops; the best online platforms for kids offer structured robotics courses with video tutorials, interactive exercises, and even virtual labs.
Certain online robotics courses utilize virtual environments where students can experiment with coding and witness their robot’s behavior in a simulated setting, which is particularly valuable for students who don’t have physical robots to practice with. AI-powered simulations make learning robotics feasible for a wider audience, enabling students to learn from home at their own pace. These tools are particularly beneficial for students who may not have access to robotics programs at school but are eager to explore STEM.
The Future of AI in Robotics Education

Thus, as AI advances, so does the potential for it to be used in education, especially in STEM and robotics for children. The trends for the future of AI in education are the emergence of more sophisticated AI applications that will not only enable children to learn how to command robots but also to use AI to solve problems. Here are some trends to look forward to:
1. Greater Integration of AI in STEM Education
AI in STEM education is getting mainstream, and more schools and online platforms use AI to teach math, science, and engineering. In robotics, it will probably be even more expensive when AI will grant robots facial recognition, voice mimicking, as well as more sophisticated decisions making capabilities. This advancement will enable the kids to design complex robotic systems, which will enable them to be ready for the technological future awaiting them.
2. Enhanced Collaboration and Creativity
AI can allow enhancing cooperation between students from different countries working on a common project. Just picture the idea of kids from different countries working as a team to design and program a robot – apart from technical skills that children acquire, they develop interpersonal ones as well. These collaborations are easily facilitated and monitored with the use of AI powered tools.
3. Improved Accessibility to AI and Robotics Education
With advancement in AI technology and defense in cost, many families and schools will be in a position to offer children robotic education. The best online robotics courses will also maintain the use of AI tools that enhance learning in the future even more. It is assumed that platforms should provide multilingual communication support, translation in real time, and accessibility for disabled children, and therefore AI and robotics education should be provided to any child who wants it.
