Confirma secretario de Marina la salida de Carlos Velázquez Tiscareño de la dirección del AICM

Quintana Roo .- El almirante José Rafael Ojeda Durán, secretario de la Marina (Semar), reveló a EL UNIVERSAL la salida del vicealmirante Carlos Velázquez Tiscareño de la Dirección General del Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México (AICM) y la llegada a este puesto del contralmirante José Ramón Rivera Parga, quien actualmente funge como director de operaciones del aeropuerto capitalino.

En breve entrevista con El Gran Diario de México, el secretario de Marina detalló que se está revisando la fecha en que se dará este cambio en el AICM.

“Secretario, ¿va a haber cambios en el AICM?”, se le cuestionó al almirante, quien moviendo su cabeza respondió de manera afirmativa.

“¿Quién va a llegar?”, se le insistió.

“El que está de segundo, no me acuerdo como se apellida”, dijo. Al preguntar a su equipo el nombre del director de operaciones del aeropuerto capitalino, el secretario respondió: “Rivera Pardo”.

“¿Cuándo será este cambio?”, se le preguntó.

“Estamos viendo la fecha”, respondió antes de retirarse y abordar el recorrido inaugural del Tramo 5 Norte del Tren Maya que va desde Cancún a Playa del Carmen.

de las instalaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México (AICM), lo que generó una investigación de la Fiscalía General de Justicia local (FGJCDMX); sin embargo, fue hasta este lunes que se supo que lo tiene la Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) como parte de una investigación ministerial. Se trata de un avión privado British Aerospace, modelo Bae, serie 800, matrícula N591CF, que habría desaparecido del hangar 5 del AICM, según diversos reportes periodísticos. Su último vuelo fue de Chiapas a la CDMX en octubre del 2022. Presuntamente, el pasado fin de semana el dueño fue a la sede aérea capitalina para preparar un nuevo vuelo, pero ya no encontró la aeronave; entonces, hizo la denuncia penal correspondiente. La mañana de este lunes, reportes periodísticos informaron que la Fiscalía local ya investigaba el supuesto robo. Poco tiempo después, en su cuenta de Twitter, el AICM se deslindó del caso al anunciar que “no cuenta con alguna comunicación oficial por parte de las autoridades judiciales o

ministeriales, que permita conocer la situación jurídica de la aeronave citada”. Agregó que “en los hangares que este aeropuerto tiene en arrendamiento no se encuentra la multicitada aeronave, desconociendo si está a disposición de alguna autoridad diversa que opera en este aeropuerto”. Ogam Divination

I got a comment recently about how to use the Ogam in divination. The response I gave was only one method, and therefore not very thorough. So, I thought it would be nice to expound a bit for those who are curious. (Keep in mind that methods of divination can vary and/or divert from tradition due to personal preference and experience!)

The Feda

If anyone is at all familiar with my Ogam Masterpost—or Ogam in general—they would know that the Ogam is structured into two collections of characters called the feda.

The first feda includes the traditional Ogam used in Old Irish writings. This feda of twenty characters is separated into four aicmí—each containing five Ogam—named after the first Ogam in the aicme (i.e. first aicme is b, second aicme is h, etc).

The forfeda were implemented several centuries following the height of Ogam usage, and contain a fifth aicme of slightly more obscure symbols. These include an “elbow”, checkered pattern, diamond, “X”, and diagonal crosshatch.

(Whether or not the forfeda is used in practice is entirely dependent on preference.)

The Many Forms of Ogam

Let’s now identify the forms of Ogam used in divination. Traditionally they were carved or burnt into staves called flesca (lit. rods/sticks), but could also be carved into stone and bones. In our modern age, there are many alternative and creative options for the forms of the Ogam, including cards similar to tarot. (One of mine was to make wooden dice/beads.) I would recommend having a more traditional set of staves made of natural materials since it helps bind us to the rich history and culture of its era (not to mention the specific spirit of the materials used), but be encouraged to experiment and find fun new ways to represent the Ogam!

Casting

The first method of using the Ogam in divination (and the one I mentioned in response to the comment) is casting. The commenter likened it to the—more mainstream—Norse rune casting, which is not at all dissimilar. Essentially, one gathers the staves that the Ogam is written on, and verbally or silently asks their question before tossing the staves into the air above any given flat surface. Traditionally, a prayer is said beforehand to the gods or spirits.

From this point, it’s up to the caster how they’d like to read the casting. This could look like reading groupings of staves, face-up staves only, both right-side up and upside down staves, overlapping staves, etc.

Drawing

Drawing is another method of Ogam divination similar to that of Norse rune divination. Staves are placed into a bowl, bag, or other fairly sized container before the question is posed, and the reader reaches into the container to draw a stave. Drawn readings can include multiple staves depending on the desired specificity/depth of an answer.

The way that these readings are interpreted are also very subjective. Similar to runes and tarot, the staves can be arranged in a fashion to represent past, present, and future, or other symbolic concepts like individuals in a given scenario.

Formal Reading (via Hegarty)

Formal Ogam divination alludes to a ritualistic process. This form of divination is good for those who enjoy structure, explicit involvement of the gods/spirits/ancestors, and uplifting divination as a more scared experience. Of course, this method could be more or less ostentatious depending on the reader’s intuition.

The ritual includes an offering (food, trinket, etc) and libation (water, milk, alcohol, etc) to the entities invoked, as well as three stages: an opening, the reading, and a closing.

Opening

Visualize a bile (bil-yuh), or a sacred tree used for communication with the Otherworld, gods, spirits, ancestors, etc. Use a physical tree to help visualize if needed. Raise both hands (palms up) to about shoulder height and say:

“Mighty tree, fruitful its branches, deep its roots, a tree without hollow or flaw. Great sacred tree, vigor of life, fruitful sea, might of victory, spell of knowledge.”

This can be said in your native language or in a Goidelic language as preferred.

Visualize the tree as described, reach out, and feel its ancient power connecting the Otherworld and this one.

Reading

With hands raised (palms up), greet the entities being invoked by saying:

“A thousand hails to you, O Sacred Three, the good wish of my heart to you, goodness of sea be yours, goodness of land be yours, good of sky.”

Place hands over the heart, then to the sides, then to the ground, then to the sky respectively as the words are recited. Then make a toast to the invoked entities with the libation and pour it onto the ground or place it on an altar. Ask for a blessing of wisdom from the entities, ask the question, then perform the reading. Once finished, return the Ogam to its container and offer thanks by saying:

“This for you, O Three of power, Thanks be to you O Three, Praise be to you, O Three, Honor be to you, O Three, For all you have given me. Blessed are you, blessed am I, blessed are we. Cheers, O Three ever-living.”

Closing

Again, visualize the bile and say:

“Great sacred tree, Everliving, everlasting, Blessings with you. Joy, peace, health. This is my prayer, O Three of the land, O Three of the sea, O Three of the sky.”

Lastly, take a moment to return to the present by focusing on the senses.
