While we were bringing down Anthony’s 6 month clothes to fill Dempsey’s closet, we stumbled upon a rocking horse that was a hand me down from KK. Anthony has really taken to horses so we knew this would brighten up his day. He climbed on it right away and started to rock. He loves his new (really old) horsey.

We headed south on back-to-back weekends to spend Carmine’s birthday with him. Brittney and Carmine share the same birthday so we doubled down on the celebration. Fun times with Matt, Krystina, and Carmine in Austin.

We had a fun weekend in Houston with family. We stumbled upon a fun kid’s plat center that may have been the highlight of Anthony’s trip. Dempsey asked Emily to be his Godmother which was the highlight for everyone else. Short but fun weekend in Houston. Cant wait to go back to see them soon.

Our second trip to the hospital this week is an attempt to reduce the amount of ear infections that Anthony gets. He was a trooper for the procedure and the doctor said it went well. We will spend the next week or so letting him drain while fighting fever and teething. Should be Motrin filled but he will be extra lovey dovey and snuggly which is a silver lining. Hope Ant bounces back quick!

Our first blog post of 2019 is a big “first” for Anthony. He got his first haircut today. It took a little while for his hair to grow in but now that he has some to cut, this weekend was the perfect time to get it done. He was unsure of the situation at first, but after they put Paw Patrol on the TV, he turned his frown upside down. Fun day getting Anthony’s first haircut.

We attended the annual Christmas Eve mass at church then went back to Grandad and Maw Maw’s house to wait for Santa to arrive. Its was a great Christmas around family and both boys loved it.

Tonight was technically Anthony’s second Halloween but he was just bundled up being held the whole time for his first. This year we were able to knock on some doors and ask for some candy. He needs a lot of practice specifically at house that serve candy that I like to eat. He really enjoyed seeing people in costumes and even ended the night in his BOO Patrol PJs. Fun night!

We got our annual visit from the Owen family with the fun surprise of Uncle Mike and Papa joining as well. Because Anthony loves water, one of the first things that we did was go to Klyde Warren to play on the splash pad. Anthony, Ethan, and Kennedy had a blast playing together. He really enjoyed our fun filled day with family.

Maw Maw and Grandad got us out of the house this weekend to bring Anthony to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. He really liked being around other kids even if the games were a little above his age level. The highlights were ski ball and the Bykero motorbike ride. That was his favorite by far. Fun weekend with the grandparents.

We had a long weekend vacation in Destin with family Anthony really enjoys the water and spending time with his cousins. He was a little hesitant about jumping into the pool but as the video shows, I coerced him enough that he eventually gave in to my Dad pestering. However, I wish it would have been done in one of the 15 tries with his puddle jumper on but we will take what we can get. Cant wait to plan our next trip next Summer!

In addition to Anthony’s first birthday, we also made the decision to get him baptized. It was wonderful to be surrounded by family as Anthony was christened into the Christian faith. I used both baptized and christened because I don't know the difference or which one is correct.

We spent 4th of July hanging out at the house. We started the project of turning the office into a playroom for the boys. It has a long way to go to be ready but Anthony is enjoying playing outside. He is a natural athlete with a competitive eater’s stomach.
