is is absolutely hilarious that louis told armand “i’m leaving and when i come back i want all your stuff gone,” and then twenty minutes later in the episode an entire full grown tree is missing from the house. i have so many questions it’s KILLING ME.

How did he get it out of the house? You’re not fitting that mf through the door. WHERE IS IT NOW?? Armand is basically a broke 514 vampire, he can’t afford a backyard for this tree. He took the tree in the divorce and I think that is so funny because he can’t even take care of it.

Armand has been growing this tree since at least the 50s. And it’s just a cutting of the original tree from TDV, so this is like his side hobby ig. Crazy work to be making fun of Louis for his photography hobby, sir you grow trees. Like don’t get me wrong I have no issues with Armand being the vampire lorax or wtv, it’s better than him chopping people’s hands off and putting rats in microwaves but I just can’t wrap my head around the logistics of it. Where is he keeping the tree. How did he move the tree. Is this the only tree? Why did he start growing the tree in the first place. Why is the tree so valuable he had to take it in the divorce. It’s such a random side hobby like😭

So AMC Networks just signed a deal with an AI company to start implementing generative AI in promotional materials for its shows. This alone is bad enough, but it might get worse.

In case you haven't seen it, The Hollywood Reporter wrote an article about this —which is how we're finding out about the situation at all— and this particular paragraph stands out:

Read that? "At this point." There's no guarantee that they won't be using it in the future, if this deal is deemed profitable enough. I think AMC will be testing the waters for now, seeing what it can get away with, so it's important to make our position clear from the get go. Complain about the deal on social media. Complain to AMC directly. Look out for signs of GenAI on promotional images and videos. Refuse to engage with such content.

AMC has always done a piss-poor job at marketing its Immortal Universe shows, which could be attributed to a lack of budget, but using AI to cut corners/make cheap advertising is not the way to go. GenAI companies shouldn't get to profit off of real artists' work.

Damn, I forgot how much I loved the episode Still just on Daryl's part of it alone. Of course, I absolutely love Beth and how she pushes for them to move forward while also calling Daryl out on his bullshit, but Daryl's emotions in this episode?

Him talking about his family and the kind of life he had as a kid and before the Fall? Daaaaammmmn. The two make it to the moonshiner's cabin, and it's like the flood gates opened as Daryl starts making comparisons to his childhood home.

But then the scene on the porch? Where he jokes about being a dick when he's drunk? When he opens up about his life before the Fall and the kind of life he had just following Merle around?

This is what I wanted more of in the spinoff. More of Daryl opening up, sharing his past, and letting us see the true Daryl Dixon.

Season 3, please give us that.
