Sun x moon, sure, but what about DOOMED sun x moon ship?
They’re opposites yes, but it goes more deeper than that, they’re the kind of sun x moon that only meet through eclipses, which has always been never enough in one timeline, but both of them have to move along their separate paths in their separate ways. Fate has destined for them to meet, but only to distance them apart once more.

Sasaki & Miyano fic recs
hello! here are some sasamiya fics i've read and liked so far! i tried to give each listing a little summary, but for some of them it's been a while so the ao3 fic writer's summary may be more helpful! i'll keep updating this list as i go. please enjoy what these amazing writers have given us! (my favorite in purple.)
sfw

Featherlight: 8K ABO fic where miya presents as an omega and alpha sasaki helps him with his heat
Sasaki's Unlucky Lucky Day: 9K fic where sasamiya shower (and do a little more than that) together
Summer Heat: 21K fic where sasaki is in college and miya is still in hs. sasaki's friends know he's dating someone but assume they're a girl until they meet miya at the end. sasaki and miyano figure out a balance between school, dating, their first time, etc. cute and smutty fic.
Don't Say Goodbye: 206K fic where 30-something sasaki and miyano reunite after breaking up in college. sasaki is divorced with a cute lil kid and miya is back in their hometown after his father died. little angsty, but just a wonderful read.

In the End, I'm Still a Loser (Snippet)
Basically holding myself accountable for doing some writing after a year and a half of silence. This is a sickfic with Kagi getting wrecked - it's definitely still in progress and rough so fyi (im sorry); im also working on that Hirano sickfic with his parents (there's this fight scene that im just *chef's kiss*). Anyway... please give me motivation Writing Gods!!
......
If Kagiura were being honest, he knew he should have taken Hirano’s advice this morning and stayed at the dorms… but their first game was in two weeks, and given the teenager had just made Starter, Kagiura didn’t want to ruin his chances the rest of the season by missing practice. He should have seen it coming, really. After all, he’d exhausted himself over the last few weeks with cramming, practice, and stressing over what would happen if he wasn’t roommates with Hirano the following term. The temperature change, going from hot to freezing, hadn’t helped anything either… thus, the ever-knowing fact, blessed by big tonsils, that Kagiura got sick easily.
So, the cough that slowly built until he sounded like he smoked and the sore throat that hurt every time he swallowed, wasn’t surprising. The headache, fever and nausea, was. And then this morning, he just had to go and prove he was okay, to a roommate who seemed to know everything, and drag himself out of bed.
Morning practice wasn’t as bad as Kagiura originally thought it’d be. The brisk air felt nice against his skin as they were forced to run laps in order to “wake up” for the practice game later. And with running, Kagiura could pretty much zone out and daydream. So, morning practice wasn’t bad. Running into Hirano several times in the hallway, dodging the older’s concerned glances, wasn’t bad. Hell, even classes weren’t that bad… despite the fact that Niibashi harassed him to see the nurse, and the 16-year-old fell asleep during two separate lectures. The practice game after school, however, took a severe left turn.
Kagiura had done well for the first 15 minutes… but as it turned out, 15 minutes was all his body was willing to give. He started stumbling, throwing crappy passes, wincing every time someone yelled too loud or feeling nauseous every time someone shoved into him. Even worse, he started missing shots. His teammates kept giving him weird looks, but it wasn’t until he tripped over his own two feet, slamming into the pole when someone accidentally nudged him too hard, that the Coach pulled him out and demanded he run laps the rest of the game. It was humiliating, and if anyone had any doubts about Kagiura being selected as a Starter for the upcoming game; the teenager had sure as hell fanned the flames, so to speak.
By the time the game was called, it’d started raining, and the 16-year-old was pretty sure he was going in for a rough night. His headache had traveled across his nose and cheekbones, making the nausea and lightheadedness worse. His throat hurt to swallow, let alone, talk, and despite being an athlete, he was out of breath – which only brought about further coughing. And to top it all off, Kagiura was pretty sure he had a fucking fever because he felt hot and sweaty despite the cold air surrounding him. All-in-all, he really should have taken Hirano’s advice.
The 16-year-old groaned as he glanced up slowly as the Announcer called the next train. He really wanted to get back to the dorms and sleep off whatever the hell was wrong with him… and if any luck, he’ll feel better tomorrow – and maybe listen to Hirano this time and skip school. It was a simple enough task, getting back to the dorms. But the rain and freezing cold had made it harder, and the dizziness that faded in and out every couple of minutes, sickening. Passing out or puking again would make venturing back to the dorms so much more difficult.
Walking up the stairs to the station fucking sucked, and Kagiura still had another 15 minutes of walking before he reached the dorms. What a pain. The teenager swallowed, running hand through his sweaty hair before standing as a train approached. He stumbled slightly, closing his eyes as the it sped past before sitting back down slowly. The station tipped, and the 16-year-old pressed his forehead against his folded forearms, waiting for the dizziness to subside. Shit. He couldn’t even watch the train go by without getting dizzy. Was that even his train? What station was he even at anyway?
He took a deep breath, coughing several times into the sleeve of his coat as he heard the train leave. This really sucked. He hadn’t felt this bad earlier; sure, he felt sick, but it wasn’t this bad… then again, he had pushed himself through the day, not to mention the last few weeks because he didn’t want a new roommate. He wanted another year, one more year, with Hirano, as his roommate. One more year to convince Hirano that the teenager loved him, that they could date. One more year for the 16-year-old to get the older to fall in love with him. One more year for Hirano to think about Kagiura’s confession. One more year. That’s all he needed; that’s all he wanted. One more year with Hirano. How selfish…
Kagiura flinched as his phone vibrated in his pocket, swallowing lightly as he pulled the device, smiling softly as his roommate’s name flashed across the screen. Despite how shitty he felt right now, the older always made it better. He always made the younger happy, even seeing him, even saying his name… made everything better.
            “H-hello?”
The 16-year-old grimaced as his voice came out gruff and hoarse. He could barely freaking talk and the damn cough drops he’d been going through the last couple of days had done nothing. He cleared his throat carefully, resisting the urge to cough as Hirano’s voice bled through the speaker, “Kagiura! Where the hell are you? It’s almost curfew!”
            “What? I-”
Kagiura glanced up quickly, pulling the phone away as he coughed several times before scrubbing at his eyes as he waited for his vision to clear. Almost curfew!? He’d closed his eyes for a few minutes, sure… but hours? The teenager groaned loudly as he glanced at the clock on the wall. Fuck. Hirano was right, it was almost curfew. Kagiura had fallen asleep at the freaking station. Which station again?
            “Kagiura?”
The 16-year-old jerked his head towards the phone again, trying to clear his throat as a shiver ran through him. Thunder clapped outside, and Kagiura glanced down at his shoes, scuff marks tearing across once white shoes. He still felt like shit, and sleeping had done nothing to ease his headache or stomach…
            “Are you okay?
Kagiura winced as Hirano’s met him, low and soft… gentle. It was comforting really. And the teenager wanted nothing but to crawl into that comfort right now… to be surrounded by it. He paused momentarily, sneezing, before inhaling slowly, “H-Hirano?”
“Kagiura, what’s wrong? Your voice is rough as hell. You okay?”
All that concern. All that worry. It was overwhelming. It was familiar, warm and safe… and it made Kagiura’s heart race. He drew in another slow breath, his voice cracking halfway through, “Hirano… could you come get me? I-I mean, walk back to the- the dorms with me?”
Silence filled the other end, and the teenager scrubbed his eyes again, realizing tears were forming. God, he was fucking exhausted. He felt miserable… and to make matters worse, he was getting emotional. He always got emotional when he was overly tired. Kagiura already had a hard time getting Hirano to see him as his equal, and now, now he was going to see the 16-year-old as a child again – all Kagiura’s hard work undone by some stupid illness.
            “Where are you, Kagi-kun?”
Kagi-kun. The familiar nickname the younger had come to love. The nickname reserved for Hirano’s lips only… one that made the younger special to the 17-year-old. One that almost claimed him. Kagiura wiped his face again as he kept his gaze down, his head resting against his forearm again as a train came to a loud halt and noisy passengers exited.
“The station,” the teenager coughed in his elbow again before clearing his throat as Hirano sighed, “Okay… I need more information, idiot. Which station?”
The Announcer blared overhead as the doors on the train closed, the lights flickering as rain started pelting against the windows. Kagiura glanced up, meeting several pairs of passing strangers, each giving him a worried look. Shit. Did he really look that bad? His face was probably red from leaning down, and he was definitely sweating… he probably still had tears in his eyes so that most likely didn’t help. He was a mess… Hirano was going to see him… like… this…
            “Hirano, actually, I-”
The Announcer blared over the speaker as the train left slowly, and Kagiura turned his attention back towards the phone as Hirano called his name, “Nevermind, Kagiura, I heard. I’ll be there in a few minutes, okay?”

Shirahama and Tashiro: a beginner's recruitment post
For @sonomly c:
Tumblr media
HOKAY. So.
We have Love And Passion (the unofficial TL calls it Hobby and Zeal?), a one shot narrated from Tashiro's point of view about his time in the ping pong club. That's the main focus of the chapter (in two parts), but here, Tashiro mentions that Shirahama, his friend since middle school, is the source of his ping pong woes and everything is his fault. Lmaoooo There's a cute little meetup in the train near the end.

@sunnfish okay Take Two!!! hello sunny sunnfish you wonderful sea creature! I was your secret santa for the @ssmygiftexchange! so sorry for the delay on this, my scheduled post was taken by the tumblr void and I wasn't home with my laptop to remake this post haha.
Your prompt was shirashiro college roommates au and prev pres, hanzawa, and tashiro hang out!! hope i was able to do this justice, this is officially the longest oneshot ive posted :)
Now with an Ao3 version, i would recommend reading there because Tumblr messed up some of my formatting and I can't fix it right now ^_^
Summary:
Tashiro and Shirahama are college roommates. It's a relatively peaceful life.
A non-linear story written for the sasamiya & hirakagi winter gift exchange!
As it turns out, moving in with a guy that you’ve known for almost half your life is pretty unremarkable.
Maybe it has something to do with being too familiar with each other. There have been too many sleepovers for the sound of snores to phase him, too many gym classes for the sight of skin to fluster him, too much time for anything to feel awkward between them. And yet…
And yet.
Packing your whole life into boxes is pretty hard, as it turns out. Looking around his room now it seems hard to imagine how it’ll feel to see the whole place emptied out. Cleared of every reminder of himself.
Tashiro tries not to think about it so hard as he turns back towards the closet. He’s never felt the need to go through everything he had stuffed in there until now, remnants of the past mixing with comforts of the present.
He reaches out to grab one of the hangers, pulling it free. His ping-pong jacket, he thinks despairingly, is slowly becoming small on him. His name spelled across the back in white lettering brings him back to when he first noticed. The growth spurts he’s been having refuse to slow even for a moment, and though he likes that some days, it mainly makes him face annoying things like this.
If he leaves the jacket, it will probably be packed up and put away somewhere to be forgotten. He can picture it now, sitting in a box stuffed away as it slowly fades from his memory. It makes him feel sort of heavy. But, if he takes it with him, he’s not sure it would be much better in the long run. Just holding it in his hands reminds him of how much time has passed. Of how fast it will keep passing.
He stands there, gears turning haphazardly in his mind, as he tries to breathe it all in.
Then, a knock.
His eyes dart to his doorway in surprise– knowing none of his family was home right now– only to remember that he’d invited the others to help him out.
Shirahama stands in front of him, knuckles resting against the already ajar door. His slightly bored face and tellingly awkward posture show that he hadn’t expected to be the first to arrive.
“Is your doorbell broken?” He asks as his socked feet pad their way into the room. “I tried using it, for once, but from that look I guess you didn’t hear.”
Tashiro finds himself a little amused by this, as he knows for a fact Shirahama has his own key. Perks of coming over to play games most weekends out of the year. He remembers them making jokes about going into each other's fridges while no one was home when they traded keys.
“Nah, guess I was just distracted,” He says with a casual shrug, placing the jacket back in the closet.
Shirahama gives him a questioning look. “I thought you were moving out, not back in.” His friend jokes as he passes Tashiro, grabbing a couple of shirts from the closet alongside the jacket.
He feels his eyebrow twitch in a way that reminds him a little of Hanzawa; and what a scary thought that is.
“I’m feeling indecisive.” He says, his mouth twisting to match how the word makes him feel. All twisted up and confused.
Shirahama turns to the side to face him, having stacked more clothes into his arms that look to be on the verge of falling to the floor. “About what? If you should take your whole house with you?”
That jacket. If I should re-dye my hair. Growing up. You. The future.
“What if we paint all the walls yellow?” He says instead of the hundreds of things his racing mind pushes forward.
“Yeah, that’s not happening.” Shirahama responds resolutely, his eyes showing no room for argument. Not that Tashiro will let that stop him.
“Or maybe green? Something bright.” He continues on, stepping away from his thoughts to grab the jacket out of the teetering pile and place it to the side. “Actually, scratch that, blue would be great too.”
Shirahama gives him a withering look that has no effect on his enthusiasm. Now that he’s thinking about it, the fact that he isn’t going to make these kinds of decisions on his own anymore is pretty fun. He’ll have a roommate, a friend to work through his troubles with. The thought makes him feel lighter.
“Hey, d’you still want this?” Shirahama asks some time later, long after Kuresawa and Miyano have come and gone. Tashiro looks up from the stack of boxes he’d just finished labeling.
“Oh, yeah I almost forgot!” He says as he takes his jacket, tying it around his waist for safekeeping. He really hopes he didn’t overestimate how much closet space he has.
It’s only a few hours after the final box has been unloaded and the moving van is hauled off when Tashiro makes a chilling discovery.
“Dude, we have no food.” He says, eyes staring at the bleak emptiness of their new fridge.
“Yup,” Shirahama responds as he walks up beside him, handing Tashiro a scrunchie in a sort of placating manner.
Tashiro’s shoulders droop with the weight of his exhaustion. Moving was one of the most tiring things he’s ever done, and coming from him that’s saying something.
Turning away from the depressing artificial fridge lighting, Tashiro turns toward the kitchen counter behind him and grabs his keys. As wrecked as he might feel, the growls of his stomach refuse to be ignored. “I’ll go buy something quick,” He says.
“Ah- wait, I have an idea,” Shirahama says suddenly. Back straightening, he moves away from the fridge of doom over to a bag of housewarming gifts the others had left. It was mostly a small array of gag gifts, little plant pots shaped like ping pong balls and a lampshade shaped like a pudding cup, but in a small container alongside the rest was something else. A saving grace for the hungry:
A tub of butter.
Tashiro looks at it in confusion, asking if his friend was really that hungry.
Shirahama smirks, “With food, no container is ever as it seems.”
He opens the tub’s lid, revealing its contents. Inside is not butter, but a large frozen serving of chicken soup. Tashiro feels his jaw drop as he gasps in disbelief.
Quickly shaking himself of his shock, Tashiro grins brightly. He takes the soup and stuffs it into the microwave, but Shirahama stops him from starting the timer.
“Y’know it would taste better if you put it in a pot instead.” Shirahama says, his hand gently clasped around Tashiro’s wrist in a way that he chooses not to internalize. His fingers are a little cold.
“But it’s already cooked.”
“So? You can still warm it up in the pot. Plus it’ll make it taste closer to how it’s supposed to.” Shirahama retorts, opening the microwave and placing the tub on the counter as he goes to try and find a pot in the sea of boxes.
Tashiro stays behind as he thinks. He hadn’t ever had a reason to go so far out of his way to warm up food before. He feels himself smile a bit, the first change he’ll have to get used to in this new life.
As it turns out, keeping a relatively small apartment clean is a little difficult when you’re living on your own as two messy 18 year olds.
They tried the whole chore chart thing at first, Shirahama said he used to have one at his parent’s house and it worked fine. But, well, it’s a little different when it’s just them.
The dishes are stood in a precarious stack, plates and glasses towering in ways gravity should never allow. Tashiro faces his task with a body radiating reluctance.
He’s been busy the entire week. Classes and work keep him out of the house, and even when he is home he prefers to spend time relaxing or hanging out with Shirahama. He had forgotten about his chore, and now it’s become a problem.
Carefully reaching towards the tower, he grabs the cups first and goes for the sponge right as Shirahama walks out from his room.
He has his hair held back by a headband, because my bangs are a nightmare right now, he’d explained the other day.
He walks towards the kitchen and looks at Tashiro, who has begun to work through the dishes.
“…Need any help?” He asks as he reaches toward the kitchen cabinet, pulling out the chips he’d come for.
“Oh, no I’m good,” Tashiro responds, though the overwhelmed look in his eyes doesn’t match his words.
Hm. Shirahama puts his chips down on the counter, turning towards the sink and stepping up beside his friend. “I’ll dry and you wash, okay?” He says with a smile.
Tashiro blinks at him for a moment, lips parted in an ‘o’, before he nods and sends back a smile of his own.
They make it through everything eventually, though not without some effort and accidental water sprays. They decide afterwards to just do the dishes together, just to save them time.
There's this strange sensation that comes for him one day. The apartment is dark, the steady hum of the aircon welcoming him home, and immediately something feels amiss.
Tashiro kicks off his shoes, only to turn back around and place them carefully on the shoe rack. He always forgets that it’s something he should worry about now. Keeping his home in order was never really a big deal before, it was usually only him spending time there anyways.
Passing through the short hallway, his eyes catch on a small black and red container. He looks around suspiciously, but finds no sign of Shirahama. Crossing the creaky floorboards, he inspects the tupperware and finds a green sticky note pressed onto the lid.
Went to a mixer.
Put this in a pot and try eating real food for once
Tashiro blinks away his shock. His eyes trace over the words on the note. Again, then again.
Thump
Thump
Thump
His hands warm the plastic as he goes to hold it, and a smile breaks out across his face. He’ll have to say thanks later.
Placing his food back onto the counter, he turns to go change. He feels anticipation swirl around inside of him, and even without tasting the soup, Tashiro feels warm.
Tashiro finds out in the second month of living with his best friend that they’re maybe not the best at making their place livable.
“How have you guys been living like this?” Miyano asks, part judging and part concerned. They’re standing in the living room, which consists of a couch, a tv, and a shelf balanced on two boxes that they use as a coffee table. The tv sits on the floor with a console, video game cases stacked beside it.
It’s not like they haven’t talked about decorating. They joked about it before moving, and made plans about what they wanted to do. The plans just… didn’t end up happening.
At some point between the exhausting move-in and the rush of classes starting up, decorating didn’t feel like that urgent of a thing.
But now classes have been in session for a while, and they still haven’t bothered with it.
The click of Kuresawa’s camera bounces off the empty walls. “A total bachelor pad,” he says, sounding just to the left of impressed. “My girlfriend was wondering what it looks like when two college guys live together.”
Tashiro groans at that, knowing that another classing girlfriend ramble is on its way.
“We live just fine,” Shirahama says, and as if on cue the boxes fold into themselves, sending the shelf clattering to the floor. Right.
They decide to go furniture shopping, just to make sure that they don’t have to deal with any more Looks from Miyano or paparazzi from Kuresawa.
Tashiro suppresses a laugh, pointing towards a table with odd looking fish for legs, “We need that.” Shirahama laughs along with him, but shakes his head.
“We have a budget, we’re only getting what we absolutely need.” He reminds Tashiro. His eyes turn towards a yellow and white coffee table that is practically calling for him. He turns away.
Tashiro salutes him, and doesn’t retaliate when Shirahama gives him a playful shove in response. He turns around and walks towards a different part of the store, twisting strands of his hair between his fingers as he goes. He really needs to touch up his roots.
Spotting something on a shelf, he picks it up. It’s a decorative statue, a silver painted hare taking a nap. He smirks and turns around, walking back to Shirahama. “Hey, look, I found you…” he starts to say before trailing off, eyes focusing on Shirahama’s side profile.
His eyes look focused in the way they always do when he’s overthinking something simple. His brows are pinched and his thumb is pressed flat on the side of his lip. Tashiro breathes in the expression, and decides he can show him later.
Laughter reverberates through the restaurant, one table in particular shining with rays of excitement and teasing.
“No, but seriously, how many more piercings can you get?” Tashiro questions dramatically, standing from his seat to stretch across the table and investigate. Hanzawa only laughs behind his hands and turns his head, showing off another new hole in his ear.
“If you ask that every time you’ll keep giving yourself a headache,” says the eldest one at the table, the previous ping pong president in all his red haired glory smirks mischievously and pats Tashiro’s back.
Crossing his arms and dropping back into his seat, Tashiro tries to keep up an air of frustration. It lasts about a second before he breaks out into a smile of his own.
These little meet-ups are a lot of fun for him. It’s not every day that all three of them are in one place. Especially not with their current schedules. It’s a nice break from the busy life he’s been settling into.
He feels his heart warm as he sits with his friends, ready to bring up his latest win in his college ping pong club, when his phone vibrates. Flipping it over, he sees that Shirahama texted him.
Divorce Soon: hey r you home
I left my jacket and this place is freezing
He pauses to consider. He’s not very far from the apartment, he could run there, grab it, and drop it off pretty quickly. But… he glances up from his phone to the two in front of him. He doesn’t want to leave yet. But… looking back at his phone he sees the spam of crying emoji’s Shirahama has begun sending.
“Hey guys, sorry but my roommate needs me to get him something,” he says with an awkward expression. The conversation pauses as the two process what he said. “Oh sure, you need a ride?” His absolutely genius red haired friend offers, pulling his keys out as he says it.
“Yes!” Tashiro replies as his expression lights up. He tells Shirahama he’s on the way, and they head out towards the parking lot.
Sitting on the edge of the bathtub, Tashiro fiddles with the edge of his shirt. He tries not to move too much, looking back and forth from his hands to Shirahama. His friend has that same look in his eyes that he did back in middle school art class. Focused, determined, trying and failing to keep paint off of his face. Only this time the paint is a bright yellow dye.
They’ve been like this for a while. He hums along to the music playing from his phone. His butt feels a little numb and he has counted and recounted the tiny floor tiles at least a million times, all 173- no, 175 of them. He tries to focus his attention on anything but the gloved hands in his hair.
He carefully reaches over for his phone, switching the playlist to a random one he saw in his recommendations.
It’s not as if he couldn’t survive in silence for a little while. He usually doesn’t have anyone else to do this for him, so silence is kind of a given.
But as he taps the beat into his leg and opens his mouth, no words come out. He lets the silence linger even as Shirahama begins humming the words to a song he remembers coming out in their first year. He thinks about laying on the floor of his bedroom, phone conversations bouncing off his poster-lined walls and music blasting.
He remembers the telltale clicks and clacks from the other end of the call, the curses against ridiculous route mechanics spilling into his ears.
Tashiro feels like this is sort of like those moments, just a little bit more. His legs are longer, his hair can go into a ponytail now, and his world feels so much bigger. His eyes turn towards the boy-technically-man in front of him. His eyes look sharper and his face is more angular.
But, in a lot of ways he feels the same as he always has. The same Shirahama who cried during their graduation, and sat next to him on their first day of middle school. The same Shirahama who bullies him for counting on his fingers, but forgets what comes after 3 when he’s drunk enough.
The same yet different Shirahama. They match in that way, at least. Both the same, but not fully.
“I… think I’m done?” Shirahama says, breaking their steady silence. Tashiro stands to go look in the mirror. He giggles at the sight of his foil-wrapped hair sticking out at odd angles.
Shirahama laughs along with him, and it really isn’t that funny, but they still stand there giggling like idiots. Tashiro pulls at the corner of his shirt again, turning around and raising it up to Shirahama’s face and wiping away some of the dye.
He drops his shirt and turns back to the mirror, looking at the two of them in the reflection. He watches the way Shirahama’s face stays frozen, and how his whole face flushes like it always has. It’s nice to see some things will never change.

Hello, if you don't mind, can I ask, who are your top favorite romantic relationship's couples in any media, like anime/manga, tv series, books, etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....Thanks if you want to answer....
Ooh how fun! I should just screenshot my ao3 dash lol. Let's see... almost all of these are all animanga (and not canon), but in order of my love for them at this particular moment in time:
TodoBakuDeku
BakuDeku
KilluGon
MatchaBlossom
SatoSugu
ShiGuang
TigerGhost
SasaMiya
ShunMio
KazuRei
Now, explanations, *spoilers*, and honorable mentions below the cut!
TodoBakuDeku (My Hero Academia)
Obviously not canon and never will be but oh does this ship have a chokehold on me. I just think this trio is so balanced in every way. Like we have our precious TodoDeku who connect by being nerds and the sweetest boys. Then we also have TodoBaku who are just lovely little menaces. And, of course, BakuDeku--can't beat friends to enemies to lovers. And then they all come together to form a masterpiece. Idk I just love this ship so much.
BakuDeku (My Hero Academia)
So I honestly really wasn't into this ship too much until reading the final war arc and meta. Other people's viewpoints changed my mind! Hori has done a really great job of portraying BakuDeku's complex relationship in the manga (for however you view their canon relationship). So like idk how can I not ship For-the-Rest-of-Our-Lives Katsuki with Control-Your-Heart Izuku?
Sidenote: I almost didn't include this on the list because I tend to only really ship this pair while reading the manga. I never shipped them in the anime unless it was TodoBakuDeku with Deku as a hinge. And I don't even read many fics with just Katsuki and Izuku. I just feel like fandom BakuDeku feels incomplete without Shouto for some reason. Like I'm Team BakuDeku for the manga, Team hinge TodoBakuDeku in the anime, but throuple TodoBakuDeku in the sanctuary of my mind/on ao3. (Maybe that'll change once I start watching Season 7 though.)
KilluGon (Hunter x Hunter)
I only watched this anime this year but ohmygod I immediately fell in love with Gon and Killua. They are so precious. I mean, Killua is just a little smitten kitten. And Gon? He's in it. Anyway, love their dynamic and of course I ship them. Gon is Killua's light after all!
MatchaBlossom (Sk8 the Infinity)
Literally just started shipping this so I'm in the throes of obsession rn but their dynamic? *chef's kiss* (hehe, you like what I did there?) Childhood friends? Pining while the other falls for another? Realizing feelings? Already married bickering old couple? Give me all the headcanons please!
SatoSugu (Jujutsu Kaisen)
I mean, c'mon. Tragic gays are my weakness. They're gonna be OG for me. No one can compare. They're on a different level. All I want is for them to have hopped on a plane and gone somewhere they can finally find peace, is that too much to ask? (Gege??)
ShiGuang (Link Click)
Again, I said I like tragic gays. But god, I do hope they don't end up too tragic! I love this pairing. They balance each other out well. We have puppy dog Cheng Xiaoshi and cat Lu Guang. Perfection thx.
TigerGhost (Nicktoons Unite)
Ok so this crackship was brought on by my serendipitous viewing of Nicktoons Unite fanart on this beautiful app and subsequent reading of all their fics on ao3 (a grand total of four, btw). And I'm obsessed. I was a diehard Danny Phantom fan as a kid (we stan our queer/genderqueer/bisexual/trans ghost boy). And I never watched El Tigre as a kid, but the way the fandom portrays him and Danny together just hits. Salty and sweet with a lil bit of darkness? Yum.
SasaMiya (Sasaki to Miyano)
First canon ship on this list lol. You want fluff? You got it. Give me some good pining, consent, and mutual respect, thank you.
ShunMio (Stranger by the Shore)
Second and last canon ship on the list! Love me some good ole sun and moon. Idk their story is so cute. Plus, I like how Kii Kana portrays Shun's feelings regarding his sexuality and how that affects his relationship with Mio. It's relatable.
KazuRei (Buddy Daddies)
I mean, this is practically canon, right? Well, at least queerplatonically (which we stan). Love our little found family. This anime had such a cute and goofy premise, how could I not fall for this ship?
(Honorable mentions: TodoDeku, TodoBaku, Labru, DabiHawks, Renga, VashWood, Kappa x Siren, Boyfriends, EraserMic, ItaFushi, InuOkko, ShokoHime, HaiNana, LeoPika, KudoIchi, TogaChako)

Here you go @msshinylemon! Not sure how much I'll be able to put here all things considered, but whatever ૮₍˶ •. •⑅₎ა♡
Fanfic Writer Interview
How many works do you have on AO3?
Currently, I only have 1 published work, and it is ongoing. However, I do have 1 I am working on, a one-shot, as a Christmas present for the SKK Discord Server I am in.
Your top 5 stories by kudos/likes:
Nothing Comes as Easy as You (9,711 words) - Ongoing - Rated M Human Experiment Dazai and Chuuya AU
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I respond to every comment I get! I have a constant need for validation when it comes to everything, so knowing that people are actually enjoying my writing is a huge reason why I try to continue it. Plus, if I'm lucky, I might be able to get ideas off some of the readers and use them! That helps a lot.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I currently don't have one, since the one I am doing is currently ongoing! Though, I do have it on good authority that it's already angsty and we're only 3 chapters in. Plus, there's more in store!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Again, as I currently only have 1 work on AO3 currently I do not have any with endings. Not much I can do about that right now until I have the other works in progress done. I promise I will have one eventually, though! ♡⸜(˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
Do you write crossovers?
I love the idea of crossovers and I am currently reading several myself (Though crossover would be the wrong word. More like just general AUs? I never used any of the established characters in these worlds, just the world itself). I would love to write one. I'm just not sure what the crossover AU would be other than Boku no Hero Academia. I think the closest I came to writing one was a Shizaya (Durarara!!!) fanfic I started using the world of The Hunger Games. It's unfinished and only a few chapters in. I'm not sure if I will ever post it. I also started a Victuuri (Yuri!! On Ice) fanfiction where they are Hogwarts students. I'm a few chapters into this one as well, but stopped because I didn't know where to take it from where I had left off.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I have not received hate, at least not publicly where I can see. To be fair, though, my work doesn't have a whole lot of traction on it last time I checked--granted that was a while ago.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have not written any smut yet. I want to, though I am quite on the fence about it because I am unsure of how it will turn out. I did promise a certain someone I would try though, for their birthday ᓚ₍⑅^..^₎♡
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I am aware of
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I mean I'm kind of doing that now? Though, I don't think I would consider it co-written. I am working with my friend @raeneism and my one of my other friends by bouncing ideas off each other. It seems to be working out quite well, even if progress is a little slow because of my IRL life.
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I would either have to say SKK or Shizaya (Durarara!!!)(DRR). Victuuri (Yuri!! On Ice) is a good answer as well or even SasaMiya (Sasaki and Miyano). There's just so many good ones.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Honestly, it feels like all of them! I get so caught up in my own head that sometimes I forget that I have all these WIPs that I need to continue or just ditch. I love them too much, though. (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )
What are your writing strengths?
If it were my opinion I would probably say nothing. I personally hate my own writing as a whole.
If it were up to my friends, though, they would probably say the way I describe feelings and how they affect the body. Maybe even just how the characters think as well.
What are your writing weaknesses?
For me, it would probably be pacing? It feels like I am either too quick or too slow to get from one point to another, or even how long it takes for me to write a chapter on average. I tend to take forever due to my tendency to overthink everything, especially the small details.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I love the idea! I was working on a Yuri!! On Ice fanfiction where they were all going to Hogwarts, so the idea was to have dialogue in scattered throughout in everyone's native tongue. One of my friends actually lived in Japan for a while, so I was using her to help me with all the Japanese.
What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
Probably SasaMiya (Sasaki and Miyano), if I'm being honest. I love how soft the entire series is as a whole, but due to how soft it is I find it hard to write for? I just love angst so much. I don't think I could put those soft bois through all that. (╥﹏╥)
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
I guess it depends on the ship itself? For SKK it would probably be Nothing Comes as Easy as You, but for DRR it would be one of the unpublished works that I have going. The SKK one is probably the one I'm the most invested in right now, though.
@cryptid-juzou I'm not sure if you've done this yet, but if I had to suffer and type a bunch so do you! ₍^. .^₎⟆

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'll take any info on the sasamiya ones but I must admit that since I'm subscribed to your profile getting notifications about final fantasy fics was a fun experience.
ask me to give “director’s commentary” on some part of a fic! or send a ⭐️ for me to talk about a bit of my choice?
ohhh…! that’s so many stars. and you’re subscribed to my ao3 profile….! how lovely! anon you’re wonderful. always nice to know I have a—if I dare be so bold—fan. now as that’s quite a lot of stars, so I… went overboard. consider it an expression of my affection for you, anon. going to put the rest of it under the cut:
about ff7: I’ve been playing ff7 veryyyy slowly for the past six months or so! it’s been exciting—I’ve managed to avoid a LOT of spoilers, and am still doing so, because I haven’t finished the game lol! but I had a reallly strong fic idea, centered around cloud & tifa, so I couldn’t resist. the dynamic between those two is so fascinating to me, because with the deaths of zack and aerith, I think they, as the ones “left behind,” have a really good opportunity to like… share in grief, and such. I wanted to write that fic in a way where any romance is kind of ambiguous, and secondary to the pure feeling of like, grief and love and living intertwined.
anyways. since you asked about sasamiya, I’m going to talk about various scattered sasamiya fics! I’ll gloss over the anomalous agate, because though I could talk about it for ages, I also wrote up a general commentary post. I’ll also skip over something there, since I just answered something in relation to that already. I’m really quite surprised (and flattered!) you said any of them, anon… there’s quite a few oddities in there.
I suppose I’ll start with a delinquent and a stargazer. that was a title I only ever came up with once porting a bunch of fics over ao3… and I was so embarrassed to find that backdated fics apparently show up as email notifications for subscribers. I’m sorry.
titling was so hard, but I’m pretty proud of this one, as in the fic it’s questionable who, between sasaki and hirano, the “delinquent” and the “stargazer” are. the section I wanted to talk about, though, is this:
Hirano keeps laughing for a while longer, eyes scrunched in small joy, and then he flops down, flat on his back. His knuckle grazes against Sasaki’s arm before he pulls it back. “I think that’s the first time I’ve seen you smile.” “What?” “Just—” Hirano falls quiet. “I don’t know.”
so, when I was talking about something there, I briefly touched on the idea of sasaki being attentive when it comes to hirano, and that sense of Attention and Observation is something that’s really important to me in the sasahira dynamic. even when they’re not quite friends (first year), they’re deliberately conscious of each other in a way they’re not going to vocalize. so that’s what’s going on here, dialogue-wise—hirano makes a comment that’s indicative of him paying special attention towards sasaki, and specifically what makes him smile. in the description, sasaki’s remarkably attentive towards how hirano laughs, so he’s also cataloguing expressions of joy. they’re doing the same thing! also, sasaki focuses in on that graze of touch because it’s a very slight… crossing of boundary, here. like, you don’t usually casually touch people you’re not friends with. at the very least, sasaki is not going to do that (see: his issues with controlling his strength and stuff—I bet that spills over into being a bit over-conscious of touch)
next, let’s address this bit from help! my classmate’s asking for relationship advice, but I’m aromantic!?:
“Those are common descriptions, sure.” Hirano levels him with a flat look. “You sure lose all your worldly upperclassman charm when Miyano’s not around, huh?” Miyano was different. Miyano was the type of person to have stars in his eyes. Hirano was… also the type of person to have stars in his eyes, even if he went about it differently. It was, strangely enough, Hanzawa’s favorite thing about both of them. “It’s my secret,” Hanzawa says. Thankfully, Miyano hasn’t really asked him for advice of this kind yet.
my secret is that hanzawa’s “it’s my secret” is quoting. something that got stuck in my head. it's not famous or anything so I doubt anyone will recognize it. but it made me laugh, so I kept it in for the same reason I decided to use my wip title as the actual title… because it’s funny! also it killed the stress of having to title the thing.
I tend to headcanon hirano as some form of ace—it’s clear he responds to touch in a different way than kagiura, so it’s an angle i think is fun to explore—so having him connect with an aromantic hanzawa headcanon was neat, here. this bit shows hanzawa’s underlying pessimism regarding love & romance, as contrasted with hirano’s optimism, as he's looking to meet kagiura where he is. both asexuality & aromanticism, to me, have things to say about unconventional love,” and this was an opportunity to explore that, in a way that tries to fit with canon. right now, hanzawa is feeling uncomfortable about the idea of dating, and romance—these feelings are going to have him blow up at his brother a little later. this conversation is also going to make him reformat his approach for miyano, later. on hirano’s end, he’s clearly trying to puzzle out his feelings, but both he & hanzawa are limited by conventional descriptors of what “love” has to look like. i think hanzawa envies hirano for his feelings, as much as he kind of disdains them—they’re not things that could every apply to him, after all. so that’s what motivates the fic, for me.
I know I write a lot of hanzashiro fic, so it might have been a surprise to see me write hanzawa as aromantic, but it’s like… man, no matter how I think of hanzashiro, it’s always in a way where hanzawa’s got some hang ups about the idea of romance in general. there’s a reason I’ve never written them actually dating—if that happens, it’s not going to be conventional, and I’m far more interested in exploring the tension of things being ambiguously romantic between the two. this is fun because i characterize hanzawa as romance avoidant as well as generally avoidant (see him self-describing himself as picking the path of inaction in this fic) and that interacts well with tashiro, who seems like a regular guy, but has never had a girlfriend, doesn’t seem to care about having one, and is sometimes curious about romance in a way that’s suggests he doesn’t quite “get” it. tashiro’s also got a surprisingly sharp intuition, while hanzawa is perceptive and knowing… hanzashiro, then, to me, is about the tension of seeing, of understanding.
speaking of hanzashiro. I’ve written quite a few fics centered around it, but I’ll settle with talking about the first thing I wrote, two-tone. how about… this long concluding passage:
“Some attention’s fine,” Hanzawa said carefully. “Fame is different. It’s like… being inspected, over and over. Like an object.”  The silence between them stretched a little too long. Hanzawa cleared his throat, planning to leave, but the sound that emerged from his throat wasn’t gentle but rough, long, and dry.  “Hey,” Tashiro said, before Hanzawa had the presence of mind to be embarrassed. “You look parched.” He held out his water bottle, fingers curled around the neck. It swung between them.   Hanzawa stared back at him. He’d been doing it a lot, nowadays, but right now he felt overwhelmed by it, just looking at everything and the hint of a smile on Tashiro’s face, the way the awkward, close feeling in his throat was loosening already, feeling like he was on the edge of many realizations that were all secretly the same one. There was a metaphor here, somewhere, to be pulled from the shape of Tashiro’s knuckles brushing up against his hand—something about hunger. A starving man who’s been drinking an ocean given his first sip of spring water. For now, Hanzawa was content to let that stray thought swirl along with the rest. Maybe years later he’d think about how to write it down. Tashiro grinned as Hanzawa accepted the bottle, took a long, slow gulp. “Feeling better?” he asked. Hanzawa stared up at his half-bleached hair and sunny smile. “Yeah,” he said, voice smooth. “Something like that.”
two-tone is a fairly obvious title—tashiro’s got two-tone hair, and hanzawa’s two-toned in that he’s multifaceted. originally this was meant to be a 2-chapter fic, w/ a tashiro pov sequel, and this… kinda but not fully exists in two-faced.
but—okay. let’s break down this scene. hanzawa is someone who’s really aware of what is “normal” and doesn’t really want to be “abnormal.” this is why he doesn’t want to be famous—he’s already wearing some kind of mask, and that level of constant inspection is going to turn him into someone who’s like… fully dissociated from himself. he’s going to think of himself like an object or a puppet to maneuver, rather than a person. so being inspected scares him, because he’s not good with honesty, and feels like what’s underneath isn’t like… evil, or bad, it’s embarrassing. hanzawa reveals some of his discomfort with this, and immediately wants to escape. but his throat is dry, so any smooth escape is broken up by this harsh, ugly sound—like the ugliness of himself is being shown, here.
next, tashiro offers water. there’s a couple reasons for this. the primary and obvious one is because hanzawa is parched. the second reason is that I was heavily inspired by what I’ll call @dirtbra1n’s river series, which uses the river as a really fascinating metaphor for a lot of hanzawa’s character. I think you can do a lot with the shifting nature of water—how it adapts to take the shape of its container, for example, and I wanted to pay some kind of homage to that, so that’s why we’re using water bottles. I then proceeded to lose my mind when i read that anthology bit where tashiro slides a drink over to hanzawa when he’s accepting the possibility of being captain.
okay, but back to the offering—tashiro’s fingers are curled around the neck. this evokes a sense of—albeit gentle—strangulation. so that pairs well with what hanzawa’s fearing at this moment—honesty, awkwardness, etc. he doesn’t want to be caught. but the bottle’s also swinging… a motion that puts it in limbo, and I imagine it’s got a sort of, hypnotic pendulum vibe. it’s alluring. hanzawa accepts.
accepting doesn’t bring any kind of awful thing. instead tashiro’s nice, easy, in the way that honesty is when you feel safe. hanzawa’s throat loosens even before he drinks any water, because tashiro’s presence is one that makes talking comfortable. hanzawa’s staring at him, and tashiro’s looking back—some attention’s fine. he’s on the edge of many realizations, things about how he’s allowing himself to be vulnerable and the like, but the reason for all that stems from a simple I like him.
then we get to talk about hunger. of course it comes when tashiro’s touching him, just barely. like sasaki and hirano, it’s a mild crossing of boundaries. a starving man drinking an ocean is not just having problems, he’s having “solutions” that are ill-fitted and actively damaging. starving tends to mean you need food, not water… and ocean water tends to make you dehydrated on account of the salt. then, a sip of spring water is a path towards a solution for thirst, but it’s not solving the starvation problem, yet. that’s why this is the barest of touches. it’s like spring—like the green tashiro wears, which, by the way, I said his favorite color was spring green before I knew he wore it a bunch—it’s like hope.
finally, tashiro asks hanzawa if he’s feeling better, and hanzawa responds truthfully. his voice is smooth—because of the water, and because tashiro makes it easier to be honest.
well, that was a lot! the last thing I thought I’d talk about is a dating sim au fic, because… it’s a pretty crazy concept and thus I thought I’d touch on it last. to give a quick summary, @dirtbra1n conceptualized an au where just shirahama & miyano exist in modern day japan, and then get isekai’d into the sasaki to miyano universe (only now it's a dating sim!), where miyano is the player character, and shirahama is Just Some Guy. a lot of the major sasaki to miyano characters have become romance routes, and that's going to bring around a lot of shenanigans where miyano runs from love and then runs towards it, and shirahama is losing his mind for a lot of reasons. the biggest of them being that shirahama’s got an unrequited crush on miyano, a thing that is semi-confirmed by volume 10 but was pretty left field at the time of this concept’s inception. what can i say. @dirtbra1n is some kinda genius. now, they have... a lot of very cool ideas that I'm not quite sure I can explain or conceptualize, but what’s interesting to me is the setup of shirahama as an npc in someone else's game.
I think this pairs interestingly with how unrequited love can kind of… make a person a side character. it’s usually there to introduce love rivals, to fuel plot, or to reach a requital. but I think there’s meaning and value in unrequited love that’s never reciprocated, too…? so there’s this bit in the stranger in the hall:
Ichinose turns his gaze to the floor. “Well,” he says, “since I’m graduating this year and I really doubt we’ll run into each other after that… like recognizes like, or whatever.” Nice, Shirahama thinks, the game never had any love interests that are third years when you’re a first year. Then he feels mortified. “And it’s a…” he trails off. “Um. Yeah,” Ichinose says, picking the dirt out of his fingernails. “It’s not really a—even if he wasn’t… it’s kind of a hopeless effort, you know? But I still…” A tightness abruptly seizes Shirahama’s throat. “Yeah,” he manages to get out. “I know.”
first off: meet ichinose ao. he’s a side character in hirano to kagiura that I’m obsessed with. if only I had the energy to post extensively about why I am. but we know he gets easily anxious to the point of stomach cramps, he’s a high-achieving student, and he’s got what looks to be a pretty hopeless crush on the dorm manager. I think this is fun—it’s pretty futile as far as mutual romance goes, but there’s valuable exploration in pining, in crushes, in learning the ways in which you love. he pairs pretty perfectly with shirahama.
I use the phrase like recognizes like because it’s a common one to signal two people’s similarities, but also because it’s literally liking—their unrequited crushes—that makes them similar. you see them mirror each other with how they talk about ichinose as a third year—he’s like, well I’m outta here so I can be a bit honest, and shirahama also relaxes because he’s going to be out of here and is therefore irrelevant to the miyano romance routes. and in this case, ichinose’s irrelevance means that he’s someone shirahama can talk to without fear.
and through their vague dialogue, this moment of connection allows shirahama, for the first time, to really vocalize the enormity of his secret love. and it allows me to try to express how even love, unrequited, has its own special place. that as it remains hopeless it remains valuable.
…and if you, reader, got through all of this, you have my kudos!

hii!! i saw ur pfp and was wondering if you've made any fics for sasaki to miyano/ hirano to kagiura or have any recs <33
Tumblr media
😂😂😂😂
It's all good! Thank you for asking! I have been really encouraged by the feedback from today's drabble bc ngl I have been pondering a full SasaMiya fic for a bit now 👀
The only other ones I've come across have been written by @otomiyaa! Idk if she revived them on her current blog or not, but you can always find them on AO3! They're adorable, I love all of her fics so much! 💖
Edit: I also wrote a drabble for them last year, linked here!
