1.- PERCEPTION V.S. REALITY

It is important to confirm that the plan outlined is still the appropriate one to achieve the best results. Are key audiences still being prioritized appropriately?

Well, Steve Jobs in this video shows us that his products have been made according to the customer's needs. In the past you had to use 3 different devices to get the desired function for each and now you can get all that in only one.

2.- CONSISTENCY IN THE MESSAGE

Emphasize that audiences need to know how a company can benefit them. The message varies depending on the type of audience.

In this video Steve Jobs makes noticeably clear why they are making the iPhone, as it facilitates communication for all people, besides that it has a wide variety of functions and the most important thing that is an easy device to handle.

3.-RIGOR IN ANALYSIS

Your company´s reputation depends on the opinions of multiple people, like employees, investors, journalists, customer, and the community. The confidence you convey to your audience.

Steve Jobs in the video speaks with great emotion and empathy that makes people more interested in the subject and the product, plus it conveys security in what he is saying as he has the necessary experience and knowledge in this area.

4.-TRUST BUILDING

Find out a balance between building reputation and trust in your stakeholders. Your company will have a favorable reputation because audiences are much more receptive to being validators of someone they trust. Trust that you transmit to your customers through your company.

Steve Jobs says it in a very convincing way that they will reinvent the phone and that causes great security in customers, besides that it has great benefits and improvements than other cell phones, also it has more functions and better quality.

5.- APPROPRIATE IMPACT

Being clear about how, when, and where it is important to connect with audiences to meet business and communication objectives.

Steve Jobs was able to communicate in an excellent way with the audience, as he mentioned several important points about the iPhone and its evolution in such a simple way that people were so focused that they were enjoying it.

Strolling around the CBD area this afternoon trying to take some pictures here and there. People were looking at me weird but doing this was so enjoyable! I couldn’t care less honestly. This reminded me of the first class, activities like this always make me realize how ignorant I am to my surroundings. It isn’t an everyday thing to look at things and see if it forms any alphabets but i think it is healthy for us to always find inspirations even from the smallest things we encounter in our daily life.

ACTIVITY #3 - Information Collection

After asking three teachers and 5 students about the importance of technology in teaching and learning respectively, here are the information that I have gathered.

What are the behaviors you observed from your students after using technology in teaching?

They are more interested and involved in the class, they can easily understand the lessons if I use a video presentation in our topics in Science and Mathematics

When it comes to my studies, technology is widely used in all of my subject courses. All of them requires an integration of technology because we are now considered as 21st century learners and we are expected to have the knowledge and skills in using different gadgets, media, websites and etc. Hence, technology became one of the significant tools or ways today in able to gain more knowledge and to hone different skills that will be beneficial to our future career path.

ACTIVITY 3: Information Collection

Just Muggle Things

I decided to combine my answers for activity 3 and 4, because I think they are related and I also wanted to discuss one subject only. Harry Potter is very popular because people found magic interesting. Some also can relate to the struggles of the protagonist, being highlighted by the fantastic writing of scriptwriters and the author. 

With that being said, I used to love reading Harry Potter books made by JK Rowling. That is, until the author started giving out many interpretations of the work, even after the series has ended. In my opinion, giving out too many details suffocates the viewers and leaves their imagination dry.

What disturbed me the most was revealing Dumbledore’s sexuality after the canonical publication of the books and film showings. While I wholeheartedly agree that the LGBTQ+ community should get representation, I can’t help but question the author, why just now? It would have been beautiful and more empowering if it was revealed in the duration of all the movies and books.

I would personally recast the character of Hermione Granger, because I always thought she was a black woman due to her descriptions found in the canonical text. It was also confirmed by JK Rowling herself, albeit only at the end of the series like Dumbledore’s sexuality.  Some changes made by the directors were helpful, some were not. It was also phenomenal to watch Alan Rickman portray Snape. 

It is very necessary to hold space for other interpretations for any movie, ad, or songs to have a wider understanding of the issues it tries to portray or represent. If one only accounts for the author’s lenses, it may lessen misinterpretations but limits the pool of information one can use as a reference. It sucks the fun out of these forms of art. Finally, there may be subconscious interpretations the author is not aware of, and it may be helpful if they consider other external points from their perspective to improve their craft and cater to their audience.

The Golden Memoir It was somewhere in August 2021 around 3pm at barangay F.S Catanico this is the final battle between us squad Nekoma. It was a Mobile Legends tournament. black is our lucky charm. Being the Champion is why this is the golden memoir. So this is my best and memorable event in my life it’s because I made a new bunch of friends not just because we all love playing this game but we have all something in common we all laugh in the same language, we can talk for hours, when one of us having problems we give advice to each other, teamwork and we created a bond that no one can make us say the word ‘ I’m Done’ . Sure they say boys cant be friends with girls but for us we don’t mind the age, gender and status in our life its funny we don’t feel the same way like other friends in a romantic way. I love how we make some memories because ever since that day that picture was taken I never lonely anymore.

We all know that we live in place where full of information may be bad or good that everything moves fast including the news and information that can we get through radio, television, computer, newspaper, magazine, and cellphone, technology advancement is extremely evolving year by year because of the people who live in doing the job to published information, theirs a lot of information in the media. Both media and technology upgrade together in a way that we can easy to access information in just using technology, even though that is the cause you still need to understand and evaluate the information to avoid harm and always put in your mind that don’t plagiarized others work if theirs no consent with the owner, also you can use some tools and skills the information that you get or gathered from the media. It is really important to us students to become a media and information literate individual, so that we can easily seek for answers and some information that we needed and light up your intelligence provided by the media that we use in our studies. Media and information Literacy does not only help us in organizing ideas but also we can gain information that needed and that will also give a big help to others.

Becoming media and information literate individual is an honor because they are the the interpretation machine to give a legitimate and truthful information that can we use to discover some information that can harm others we can always put in mind that we can help them in raising our voices and express what is right. As a responsible citizen, we should always pick only what is right and credits information for a better understanding of situation. It goes Beyond our limits to advocate, interpret and create media and media information this is our duty to recognize information when needed and use it precisely. It is so important to avoid fake news, misinterpretation and misunderstanding information that could cause argument and harm. Media and information coms hand in hand, and both of them are great. And lastly because of social media our power and responsibility becomes larger and powerful because of the help by the people who valued the media and information literate. Be skillful, Be mindful and always choose the right pick cause our world need it, be a good influence to all new generation in how to be a good media and information literate.

Are we free?

Most people in the world see that money and power controls our actions, but some would argue its a deity, consciousness, and/or culture. Both are true, but it is up to the person to decide on how they see the world. They could either believe that money makes the Earth spin or conscience makes a better tomorrow. The thing in these times are that we are bound to money, it is essential to survive. We need to work in order to eat, feed our family, pay the house bills, pay tax, etc. Our society has built the everyday life around money to survive. Marx suggested that man is no longer free with a capitalist society. I believe that it is nearly impossible to be completely free in this world. Even for children they are not free, they are bound to the hegemony of their teachers and professors. Teachers are sculptors of the young mind, they can indoctrinate children to certain ideologies. Indoctrination has also entered the powerful realm of mass media, thus making it more plausible to indoctrinate masses of people. The world we live in is difficult and it is a dangerous place. I believe that no one is free, not in today’s society. We are all bound to do certain duties that we have to do for many years or for the rest of our lives.

Opposites?

Viewing society as Goliath, it can be big and sometimes unforgiving. As I grew older, I came to realize that I still have a lot to learn and more obstacles to conquer. My existence is a grain of sand by the shore, so I can’t help but feel intimidated sometimes.

In this big world, diverse information can be found. As humans, at some point in our lives, we tend to learn new details that could help us survive and take one step forward to our future. Processing information can be strenuous, but with the aid of convergent media, it can be workable.

Convergent media unifies other forms of media such traditional Media, print media, broadcast Media, New Media and the internet as well as portable and highly interactive technologies into a dimension. For example, a person can access the news, watch television, research, and talk with others in real time using just one device – a smartphone. In a way, it shortens the time consumed in gathering and sending information, and it promotes the concept of multi-tasking. Convergent media empowers the “Davids” or the individuals of the society by helping them navigate through several, sometimes murky data.

While convergent media somewhat amalgamates other forms of media, for me, it is not considered new media – the latter is one of the forms which is being encompassed by convergent media (Leeverage Edu, 2021). New media consists of data which is conveyed in a digital manner, while media convergence is a phenomenon of mass media.

The evolution of media, whether it be in the context of orality and literacy or traditional and convergent, is very significant when it comes to understanding how communication helps build or destroy society (Baran, 2013).  The similarity between the two evolutions is the integration of something new paper to literacy and devices to convergence of media to deliver information. In contrast, the transition from orality to literacy took a lot longer than in traditional and convergent evolution.

We, as individuals and actors of the world, can benefit in the study of the evolution of one of our tools to our modern tomorrow – but the power lies within us. We decide if we build or destroy. As a song lyric says “we run things things don’t run we.”

License plate task

Outlined the skyline of Sydney city and used it for the background of the license plate. I decided to go with a rainbow gradient for a Pride themed plate but I couldn’t decide if I liked it better with the rainbow as the background or as the skyline.
