This week’s episode was a lot of fun and my favorite so far of the season. A lot of ground was covered and new theories have emerged so this will be another long post. Starting off with the “Not ___” clue (shoutout to the subreddit for getting it so quickly omg). SPOILERS AHEAD

“Not By Camels Milk”

I don’t know what to make of this clue because when I looked up kumis/koumis, the results said that it’s milk from a donkey and not camel’s milk as stated by Ulysses in the first episode. I doubt the writers would make a mistake while researching it so it’s hard to say what this means. Are they trying to insinuate that Ulysses is a fraud? Isabel made an offhand comment about him always boasting about his travels. But let’s say that it is koumis: Edgar refused to drink it at the rehearsal dinner and after Aniq spit it out I assumed that there wouldn’t be much if any left. Maybe later on in the evening Edgar and Ulysses come to some sort of agreement that was sealed with Edgar taking a sip of the koumis. Ulysses is kind of going higher up on my list now because this is starting to get suspicious.

Confirmed Theories

As always Reddit was on it because four long-standing theories were confirmed:

•The wedding staff were in on the heist

•Sebastian kidnapped Roxana to open the safe

•Sebastian was the naked man

•SEC4 meant Edgar, Sebastian, Connect 4 and was a record of their scores

A lot of people suspected Sebastian was secretly Australian instead of British so the reveal he’s actually American is so funny to me 😂 And omg at Yasper’s brief appearance! That was a perfect little tie in to last season. Also I knew Travis wasn’t lying about being knocked out! It just didn’t seem like something he’d lie about. After watching the episode twice these are my thoughts:

Theory 1

I 100% think that Edgar calling everyone devils in that rant was because he knew their secrets and now I see that he himself is a devil as well it will be interesting to see how this will all tie in at the end. When Isabel told Sebastian to tell Edgar she remembered everything it gave me a feeling that Edgar might have actually been the one to poison his father. And as I write this I’m starting to wonder if maybe Edgar tried to poison someone that evening and then accidentally poisoned himself instead. If he’s killed someone before he probably got too cocky this time and accidentally offed himself instead. There’s a theory that Edgar has been drugging Isabel and tbh I’m starting to believe it because if he did kill his father, that would be a good way of keeping his mother in line and preventing her from telling the truth. He and Hannah were really close up to a point so I can’t help but wonder if they did it together since it’s Hannah’s garden that has all the poisonous plants. It’s just a vibe I’m getting but we’ll see.

Theory 2

Speaking of Hannah, I still think Grace killed Edgar and Hannah is covering for her. Like I’ve said before Grace is putting on this damsel in distress act and I wouldn’t be surprised if she were manipulating Hannah because she knows she’s in love with her. If neither are the murderer I think they planned to run away together after the wedding night with Edgar’s money since there was no prenup signed.

My current three suspects:

Grace because of all the lying and her playing Zoë like a fiddle the whole time ; Whether or not she’s also taking advantage of Hannah is unknown

Ulysses because I’m starting to think he’s a liar and after Edgar’s encounter with Vivian, she may have told him. That’s a pretty big motive because of how big a family secret it is (unconfirmed theory that he’s the father of Zoë and/or Grace)

Edgar as an accidental death caused by himself since he’s been shown to have that dark side and he already got bested by Sebastian with the card so he’s clearly not as intelligent as he thinks he is

Do you think goat/sheep/other non-cow milk/dairy might become more common in the future? I mean they are ruminants too but they are physically much smaller than cows so are they more efficient environment-wise?

I think that goat's milk will become more common in the US. They already have. More people now have tasted or purchased goat milk in a grocery store than had 5 years ago. Goats also have excellent PR - they're used to mow brush in the West, they're good pets, and they're low upkeep compared to sheep (the breeds popular in the US require shearing, and sheep are born looking to die). The problem with sheep is they give so much less milk than a cow, and less than a goat. The milk is much higher in fat (which is one reason why sheep milk cheese is so good), but quantity is so low. Plus so many people are literally afraid of animal fats that the thought of drinking some whole sheeps milk would be impossible to sell to that contigent of the population. So I really only see sheep milk cheeses becoming more available if anything derived from sheep were to hit the US market. Cows are remarkably efficient at producing milk per calorie consumed. The advantage of smaller ruminants is seen mostly in marginal lands (steep, brushy, sparse vegetation). You'd be much better off depending on grassfed cow's milk (maybe from a milking shorthorn or kerry) in the lush valleys of Pennsylvania, but much better depending on goat's milk if you have a small-ish piece of property in a steep or brushy region. To simplify it immensely.

As for other non-cow milk used around the world (horse, camel, and yak primarily) the quantity of milk produced per animal is either low, the animal is adapted to a specific environment and/or use, or is totally useless for making the majority of cheeses (and therefore there isn't really a great way to store the milk or produce a value-added item).

Because somebody took advantage of Wonho's kind and gentle heart and decided to use it as a weakness to exploit.

Because they convinced Wonho that he was not forgiven of his past, that his hard work to become a better person didn't matter, that he didn't deserve the dream he worked for or the people that loved and supported him.

Because he believed it. So much so that he could hardly look at his fans. So much so that he left the group.

Because within a day of his past being dug up, his company terminated his contract.

Because they weren't even considerate enough of their customers to release an official statement concerning his departure or confirming ever taking legal action to defend their artist.

Because when the fans saw hope in the situation, and organized ways to use their voice to bring justice to the group, the company used that hope to milk more money out of the fans, then squash it when they became tired of toying with our emotions.

Because they used Wonho's situation as a scapegoat to cover up their own wrongdoings in attempt save face that was already ruined in the eyes of Monbebe.

Because Shownu was next in their sick little plan and Dispatch was in on it.

Because they made Shownu a victim of sexual abuse with falsified pictures and humiliated him as the leader to weaken the group.

Because even though he'd already lost weight for the comeback, Shownu looked noticeably thinner, most likely from stress:

Because the group was forced to promote without time to emotionally cope from Wonho's departure, from losing a member of their family, resulting in heartbreaking moments like these:

Because the members have been doing everything in their power to let the fans know they have seen our fight and still want their brother back in the group. Because they have taken up each other’s roles to make it feel like they are all still there.

Because Kim Hanbin was punished for something he only thought about, and never followed through with. Because he didn’t even get to say goodbye.

Because the person behind this scandal has come after other idols before, and if they go unpunished, will likely continue to unfairly defame more idols.

Monsta X is a group that wasn’t expected to last this long, and have been doubted and hated on since they debuted. This last scandal is the straw that broke the camel’s back.
