“Outed” at a southern baptist funeral

My grandmother was a southern baptist to her absolute core. Addicted to pain killers and alcohol for decades.

I grow weed for a living, hail myself/Satan, and meditate (among other highly offensive to my grandmother things) .

My mom briefly mentioned my atheistic views during her speech at (her mother’s) service. I have no fucking clue why she would do that.

All the sudden everyone could “feel my dark satanic energy” and were “praying for me.”

One lady came up to me angrily and said “unless you save yourself you’ve seen your grandma for the last time young man.”

The best part? I was a pallbearer. So all these goofball had to watch me transport her coffin from a to B and B to c after all these shenanigans. Of course I was respectful and kind. Not spiteful or weird like these god fearing good ol boys and gals were.

oh lord, nothing too juicy just a goofy encounter I had in southest Texas.
