Yes, it's true... If you're so interested in what we quarreled about, then fine, I'll tell you. So... She sent all the members of my group in a telegram several times simply because she was in a "bad mood". And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE (there were also her friends and her ex-girlfriend and boyfriend in this group). She was offended by the fact that we did not comment on her art and ignored her, and when we began to comment on them, she accused us of making stupid jokes and in general we offended her (although there were jokes at the level of a Chinese Saint, since once she drew a Saint in a kimano)

And also she sometimes asked us to give her ideas for art, and when we offered her these very ideas, she said that: "oh, why did I ask you at all, you didn't help me in any way" and other similar hypocritical words. Why hypocritical? Because she herself could say rude words to someone and "joke" about my art (and there were already jokes at the level of the fact that when I drew the spear master in my imagination and there he had something like a skirt made of a piece of SRS fabric, she said that the spear master forcibly tore off this piece of fabric from him and when I said, that this was not the case and that it was done voluntarily, she said that "I like my version of events better." Excuse me, but what the hell?! ). In general, she was constantly offended by any trifle, presented herself as a victim and we had to endure her hot-tempered behavior, for which she NEVER apologized. Do you know why she left the group? Because once someone sent her shooting range list with ships with slugcats in Russian Discord server. Some of us were on this server, and when they noticed this, they sent her a screenshot and said, "Snake, did you send your tier list or did someone else do it?" She said that she did not do it. And one Of the members of our group, he said that he knew this person, found such a coincidence funny and began to laugh at it. That is, it had nothing to do with the Snake at all, the person was laughing not at her or her tier-list, but at the absurdity of the situation itself and the fact that he knew this person. But the Snake misunderstood everything, she thought that they were laughing at her, although we tried to explain to her that this was not the case and she left. And instead of keeping silent about this whole most stupid situation, she told about it in the tumblr and made the members of my group look bad and herself a victim. It's terrible. She did not think about the consequences of her actions, she never seemed to think about the consequences at all. But even after that, I tried to treat Snake well. She also wished my friend death once because he had created a meme for my band and one of her artworks appeared there for a few seconds. In this excerpt, no one insulted anyone or anything, this art was in the public domain, and this meme was not published anywhere outside of my group, which is a LOCAL place, and this meme is also LOCAL. But she somehow found out about this video, showed it in her telegram channel, got attached to the fact that no one has the right to use her art in anything like that, and, as I said, wished him dead.

But the last straw for me was that one day in her telegram channel the topic of discussing ships iterators and slugcats began, and one of my very good friends told Snake to just not pay attention to this if it is unpleasant for her to watch. Person expressed his NEUTRAL attitude towards all ships, but the Snake believed that she treats all ships POSITIVELY and that she supports ships with bestiality, pedophilia and incest, although she did not lay such thoughts. She doesn't care about these ships, but the Snake began to say how this person is disgusting. Another friend of mine, who has a real depression, stood up for my friend. And Snake in response literally sent him to hell. Moreover, before that, she left him to the mercy of fate, stopped supporting him in difficult times and, in principle, somehow communicating with him. The nickname of this person is "Just". That is, she began to insult two people who did NOTHING bad to the Snake, and one of the people had depression and she just sent them to hell. At the same time, she herself is offended by any "rude" word said to her. She is hypocritical... As a result, I got tired of enduring everything And after that incident we have stopped to communicate. If you don't believe me, I can provide screenshots with all the evidence.

I will genuinely never get over 'Buddies hacked Lou' drama. This wasn't a little niche belief of some people on Twitter; I'm not a big blog by any means, and I lost so many people I've followed for YEARS because they insisted he must have been hacked...

People who seemed totally sane otherwise! They just came on Tumblr one day posting that 'it was so sad people would violate Lou's safety' or that they 'were waiting for more information to come out'. I think some people were really expecting him to make a statement about it, but he ignored it. BECAUSE HE WASN'T HACKED. And then everyone just kept insisting he was hacked or started being racist too. Oh, to be an average white guy in hollywood...

Tommy fans always are like "Oh, people bring up the stuff that Lou posted a decade ago but are so quick to excuse and not even talk about the transphobic stuff Ryan said last week." And like yes, we shouldn't be ignoring all of the problematic stuff Ryan is doing and saying but also, you're forgetting that Lou tweeted a problematic meme in 2024.

And it's because they wholeheartedly think Lou was hacked for reasons that fall flat when you look at those reasons with a critical eye.

"Oh, Buddie fans were the only ones who were awake and there to see Lou post that!" Have y'all heard of different timezones and how it's normal for a huge chunk of people to be awake at the same time?? Also, I don't believe for a single second that not a single Tommy fan was awake around that time too, they're just ignorantly believing that Lou was hacked.

"Lou would never have posted that, he changed!" He's a celebrity, you're never going to know him truly like you would a friend or family member. You don't know that he wouldn't have posted that in 2024, because you don't know him. You don't know that he's changed, he might've stopped posting problematic memes because he knew it would get him canceled in this day and age.

They were so quick to defend their favorite white actor that they truly fell down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. All because they want to paint all of Tommy Haters and Buddie fans as unhinged and vile.

Last week, I saw a BT fan on here say that Buddie fans have taken to creating fake posts of BT fans saying wild takes and screenshooting them to make BT fans seem bad and their reasoning for that was "I've never seen a BT fan actually say anything BoBs say we do." And so many people were reblogging and saying "Yeah, I follow so many BT blogs and I've never seen anything like what BoBs are saying."

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this fandom regularly takes stuff that is being said on Twitter and putting it on here to be like "Oh, look at what Buddie/BT fans are saying." And it's not entirely representative of what people are saying here on Tumblr. They do it all the time themselves, but apparently Buddie fans are the ones making shit up.

And these people are the same ones who are like "People who hate Tommy don't have critical thinking skills." (Something that I've actually seen someone on here say in one form or the other.)

Like I'm not the one who went through mental hoops to start a conspiracy theory that Buddie fans hacked Lou. I'm not the one who thinks that just because I haven't seen someone on my side of the ship war say something outlandish that it means no one on my side of the ship war had actually said that outlandish thing.

I admit that there are things that I struggle to understand/am slow to understand, but at least I'm not out here thinking that anyone who disagrees with me lacks critical thinking skills. And yes, I know my previous paragraph might seem like that's what I'm saying, but it's truly not. I'm just saying that you can't say that the haters are all unhinged/lack brain cells when you have believed something so readily without much thought/proof.

I'm going to end this response with this:

Not putting celebrities on a pedestal is truly something that this fandom struggles with. Anyone who puts any of the cast members on pedestals have forgotten that we will never truly know celebrities' true personalities.

—01. Divergence of the Heart

Aureia Malathar may have made a name for herself in Ishgard, but her deeds come with a hefty personal toll. Despite her victories at the Grand Melee she has never felt more unsure of herself. Her relationship with Thancred—the person she thought knew her the best—is strained, yet she cannot abandon him. Aymeric is falling for her harder with each passing day, yet she cannot bring herself to accept it. All may be fair in love and war, but at least war is predictable. Love, on the other hand…

I wrote this fic last year and it quickly became both extremely personal and also one of my favourite things I've ever written. It's also me poking fun at myself for creating what is probably the worst love triangle based off a couple lines of in-game dialogue from Thancred.

But I think the thing that makes it special to me isn't the love triangle or the emotional entanglements or the drama, it's exploring the different facets of Aureia's asexuality as a sex-positive and greyace person. This is a pretty complex topic and asexuality isn't as straightforward as "no sex ever". I also wanted to approach the erotic scenes with a certain sensibility and pull back the curtain on the romanticism of first times in search of something a little more grounded.

Okay so. 🥺 This was the first big Aureia/Thancred piece that I finished. I wrote it when I was going through an extremely rough time last year, and I think it was cathartic in a way to have them have all the right things come together so that taking a chance on a relationship finally feels right.

With tragedy averted and the world in recovery, Thancred and Aureia finally have some time to themselves. It’s nice—good even—to spend time alone, focusing on the things that matter most. But as they depart on a trip across Ilsabard, the question of what comes next lingers in his mind. Where do you go from here? How do you pick up the pieces of something broken and put it back together?

This is a much more recent Aureia/Thancred fic than the previous ones, and I'm enjoying poking at their Endwalker timeline. So much happens. Many things have been said and done, and their marriage has been put through the wringer. It was fun to explore what moving on looks like when they came so close to everything falling apart due to the pressures of outside circumstances. Marriage for them is not a happy ever after, it's just another point on the journey and they both still have a lot of growing to do.

I think this is my favourite DA fic back from when I used to write a lot of DA stuff. I don't know what it is about the Tabris x Daveth ship, it's such a rarepair but my mind latched onto the possibility and wanted to shake it up and down like a salt shaker and see what fell out. Angst and smut, apparently.

On the eve of the Deep Roads expedition, a chance conversation between Anders and Bethany sparks feelings neither of them expected.

This one is special to me because it's the last DA fic I wrote. I'm not entirely sure what possessed me to write this ship, but I was turning a few things over in my head while playing DA2 and I just had a thought about the possibilities of character interactions — tl;dr the conversation I made up in my head was interesting and I needed to follow it haha.

I am about to start a neji route (because I feel that I need at least three playthroughs to fully understand neji and his plays, so I can't leave him for last). so my thoughts on this may change, but for the moment, my thesis is that neji and kisa are the same kind of thespian, just in different fonts.

(I am slightly exaggerating kisa'a character here. there are hints and I do think pushing the envelope of what her character could be is part of what makes kisa... kisa. as I'll explain later, for better and worse, kisa is constrained by the conventions of being an otome heroine.)

anyway. in essence. neji turns Other Persons into stories,

and kisa turns Other Persons into performances,

while they both simultaneously run away from, avoid, or sacrifice Becoming Persons themselves, for the sake of theater

or maybe it's the other way around. something something discovery if not recognition of the self through the other... except they're both unreliable narrators so who's to say if the recognition actually takes hold, really. kisa at least is a little bit self aware. neji, on the other hand, deals with realizations of the self through writing, without actually processing them (e.g. ms robin, domina, etc).

I keep thinking about (novel) kisa closing her eyes and feeling like her sense of self would melt away until tsuki centers her and gives her theater as a way to heal from the grief of losing her mother. it happens again during tsuki's univeil performance: kisa curling in on herself and tsuki pulling her back to theater as way to help kisa move forward with her dreams. pretending to be others is more fun than being herself.

and then there is neji (insert spiderman pointing at spiderman meme). but in his case, he would rather play eccentric roles, caricatures, comic relief, than be a Person With Depth on stage. neji is always either a seer of some kind (a fortune teller, a ghost who sees 10 seconds into the future) or a bit character (employee A), or... whatever he initially planned for domina. he is the mechanic behind the stage, but never the lead actor. his vulnerabilities do not need to "stolen" for the story, though others' are fair game.

kisa does not think about gender as it applies to herself in her daily life (mostly) and only sees it through the lens of acting and theater. how does she act mukai vs maiden, charles vs chicchi? the same way that neji does not think about the motifs and characters he writes as a window to himself, but rather as objects to be put on stage. rukiora is based on a younger neji, mary jane is I Am Death: Revisited (mary jane is to takihime as gashadokuro is to jacob), sissia is always meant to be the foil to I Am Death. but neji doeen't really understand that just like how he didn't understand oh rama havenna. sissia (kisa route, jack jeanne ver) is to kisa as domina is to neji.

literally kisa at her most extreme is just theater thoughts 24/7

kisa "I don't like being me; I'd rather be other people" tachibana 🤝 kokuto "I need to experiment and witness visions I can't create or I'll die" neji: this is a totally sane and Normal way to cope with abandonment and grief 👍

(it is not implied in the game, but since kisa turned to theater to cope with grief as a child, I wonder if the reason she never looks too deeply into tsuki's disappearance is because she's once again using theater as an excuse to conveniently Not Think About It. out of sight, out of mind. tsuki must be doing well, wherever he is, whatever it is he's doing.)

there is also the meta perspective of how kisa in-game inhabits a role where the player can (and is expected to) self-insert. otome dictates that protagonist kisa must be malleable to the player (who can choose to focus on a variety of relationships in her stead), and the plot dictates that actor kisa must be malleable to her stage roles (jack or jeanne, maiden or hero, flower or vessel), and novel kisa dictates that kisa must malleable to pretending to be other people because it's more preferable to being herself.

every thought she has about herself must be tied to acting, somehow. kisa's personhood is defined through stagecraft. she is the maiden, and mukai, and charles, and chicchi, and sissia. she can romance anyone in the school, of the player's choosing. she can be jack, and jeanne, and jack jeanne. don't get me wrong; kisa is her own character and has a strongly defined personality, but the story also demands for her to be malleable. a painting and a blank canvass at the same time.

neji externalizes where kisa internalizes. where kisa Must Perform™ to function and to avoid herself, neji Must Create™ to function and to avoid himself. scriptwriter neji dictates that neji must use everything at his disposal — his memories, his classmates, his obscure knowledge — as inspiration for stories. director neji dictates that he must use everything he knows about his actors — their complexes, their relationships, their weaknesses and strengths — as inspiration for stories. from the cook (mitsuki) needing apricots for a recipe and wanting to harvest honey from a beehive, to mary jane (fumi) being good at sewing and wanting an equal in jacob. suzu and sou fighting and developing a rivalry leads to jire and fugio fighting over chicchi. kai limits himself as a vessel in hasekura, and kai learns to embrace his desires as the priest. from the water/ocean/drowning themes, to rukiora being based on neji's younger self, and her family life and relationship with domina.

every thought neji has must be tied to stories, somehow. neji's personhood is scattered through stagecraft. the more you read his plays and lyrics, the more you get a glimpse of who he is. it is to the point that neji himself doesn't... really see how his stories reflect himself. ms robin being a "random" song the jazz lounge singer sings that hasekura and ando can dance to, oh rama havenna being a so-so throwaway play that neji doesn't understand why it's entertaining. lmao. neji, please.

and this is why when problems arise, neji becomes a demanding director and kisa becomes a chameleon actor with a shaky sense of self (we don't really see this a lot because jack jeanne is not that dark of a story and kisa is still an otome heroine of an uplifting game, but it's a reasonable conclusion if you push hard on the kisa from neji's "good morning" exercise, or kisa going ham on method acting as charles. kinda wish the game explored more of that. I think a very stressed kisa can get lost in method acting, just as a very stressed neji is almost paralyzed by the fear of the death of talent).

idk where I was going with this. just. them. they have the same issues, just in different fonts. and I think that's actually what first attracts neji to kisa. kisa "steals" (to borrow neji's own words) just like him. kisa is a fountain of inspiration, an ever changing muse. and neji provides kisa with an endless amount of prompts and characters for her to inhabit. kisa does like to play pretend a lot. that's why she's in theater!

4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?

This is a wonderful question, and honestly it depends. Some ideas definitely are me reading or watching something and forming an AU around that. Sometimes it's listening to music and a vibe strikes me that I am like I must write a story that fits this vibe. Other times, I'll be daydreaming and a single scene will pop into my mind and haunt me until I write it down which usually leads to creating the world and circumstances to allow that scene to happen. Sometimes I get an impulsive (in the cases of my darker angstier stuff intrusive thought) and my brain is like wouldn't that be messed up? (Like Crash Pad, Ch 11 solely happened because I built the backstory for the POV character and brain went, you know what't be really screwed up?)

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

So most of my fic ideas are in some WIP phase. (I'm serious when I saw I need a focus schedule to help me out) We Run Together - This next chapter is all Reggie being all anxiety riddled because Cam and Bobby take him shopping . . .still not sure if we're gonna get to the plane ride this chapter or next. Bobby's first since turning and Reggie's first period. . .it's a miserable affair for the two of them. I have this mental image of them during a layover just sprawled in the waiting away noses shoved in some sort of fast food bag or peppermint bag fighting off the queasiness of being trapped in a metal tube with a bunch of people, including young kids. . Hello Baby June, Goodbye Heart - I keep going back an reading what we have for the next chapter and all our notes. I don't know how much Ash is ok with me gushing about details bu I'll just say the stuff we've got planned it's literally that meme of "give me fic. 'you have to write it.' no write only fic." A lot of of my JatP wips are on rotisserie skewers in my brain right now, rotating, coming into view, reminding me of their presence, enticing me to work on them. And they ALL have moments that I am like, you were the scene! The reason I started this fic in the first place and I still haven't gotten to you yet!! . Crash and Burn - Gotta get through this last chapter of Crash Pad, which is gonna be fun. But then Glowing Embers!! Aaaah, the Donnie POV side of Crash Pad!! Especially Ch 9-11 of Crash Pad like I am at that point of must write this that I have worked myself into a frenzied state where writing is no longer possible . Finally the Donnie Double AU - This AU has so much angst potential. Right now I have two planned fics for it. An unnamed one where Mikey goes after the Donnie Duplicate to try and coax him back to the lair. Only instead he sets him off. And like I said, it gets angsty. The Donnie Duplicate 1000% believes he is OG Donnie, it is hardwired into him, no amount of evidence is going to convince him otherwise. Also hardwired into him is the belief that the only way to get his life back is to kill the entity that stole it from him i.e. OG Donnie. Which leads me to the second planned fic Meant to Be(working title, it may change). This is the reader insert(possibly OC) led fic. Essentially the premise is Donnie Duplicate runs into MC, and initially begins clinging to them out of an 'I just lost my entire support system' desperation that turns into a really unhealthy obsessive possessiveness. When I say it is pulling a lot of vibes, especially the planned ending, from Meant to be Yours from Heathers the Musical I ain't lying. In fact most of the vibe songs I am pulling for this lean into dark and angsty feels. Straight up have been listening to a song called Stalker's Tango on a loop for planning parts of this fic

24. Worst writing advice anyone ever gave you?

Hmmmmmm, this ones tough, if it was bad advice I most likely purged it from my mind. The thing is sometimes what is great advice for one person and their way of writing may be terrible advice for some one else. Like even the write daily advice, I think this is great advice. But it needs to be tailored to some extent. When I got back into fic writing I worked myself to the point where I am now needing to reevaluate my expectations of me and my writing. Because I can no longer keep up with the way I wrote a few years ago. The same advice I would have thought was great then would kill me now.

44. What mistakes do you keep making no matter how many times your beta corrects you?

This question would be easier if I had a regular beta XD. Personal mistake of my own that I keep noticing, I don't let the story breath enough.

70. When asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write?

I have no hesitations telling people I write. I might not always discuss what the stories themselves are. But the brilliant thing about fanfiction is I don't have to, I can just talk about the joy of exploring the characters outside of canon, exploring how they would behave in different circumstances. At my sister's wedding a couple years ago, most people didn't even care about the what I was writing, more on the how I found the time. Because this was when I was in peak production mode, where I was slowly burning myself out with the sheer amount of writing I was doing without pacing myself at all.

Orb Appreciation

I love themmmmm, my favorite robot boy <3

To make a long story short, Orb has Ig 3 major arcs. Pre-transportation (not pictured, but they're 21 at the oldest in this period), Orb arc (when they forgot their name a spent most of the show, about 5 to 7 years I would guess, and are being reckless, apathetic, and are very dangerous), and post-The Device (basically after they get their memories and, for the sake of brevity, "stop being evil"). These times are rather important for every character but with Orb it is the most important when specifying. The first two images are Orb arc and the second two are post-The Device. And honestly the second and third aren't really canon but based on those eras.

Commentary and a ton of lore below cut :3

First picture I think is good for showing both Orb and Dennis's relationship early on, and just how apathetic they are to most people. Orb doesn't really think highly of anyone besides Randall, and with Dennis especially, he doesn't like him. Orb treats basically everyone the same besides Randall and Horse Man. Randall they idolize, and Horse Man they banter with and find amusement from. Everyone else? Ehh...

Second image is just kinda funny, not supposed to show a relationship. Based on fanart of Jevil and Seam which itself is based on the pondering the orb meme. Randall is a magician so I chose him to be the ponderer!

Third image. Ok real name reveal!! I named them Ezra :3 Which is the name they preferred pre-transportation and then remembered after The Device. I often call them Ezra instead of Orb also, and I don't really think of it as a spoiler because it's just a name... And Dennis gets his memory back like soon before the first TMRoHM video would've happened, so ye. Anyway, the shirt they're wearing is based on a shirt I have irl that I like a lot and reminds me of them <3 Also I just love that they eventually start to actually have fun. They like singing and dancing! But wouldn't "waste their time" with such things during the Orb arc. Ofc, they don't let loose so quickly after, but yknow. Life goes on and they do eventually :3

And the last image is one of my first sketches of them which I have always loved, them just genuinely laughing. I was doing a variety of expressions and emotions as practice, and this is my favorite of the bunch. They used to almost never laugh. They were robotic, intentionally emotionless despite having emotions in their soul. Their eye was always closed. But here, they're just chillin', So I always felt like this drawing was very sweet!

Other relevant lore... Well, I don't think I will draw much of it soon so I'll explain that in this world are several realms (more equivalent to continents but still), each with a unique set of civilizations. Orb is from the robot's realm, and there he was considered almost like a deity, because robot don't have souls. For *some reason*, Orb does. And this is very important. There's also an animal realm, where Horse Man is from, that is canonically fascist and militaristic, and is at war with the robot realm. Orb created a machine very early into the story that malfunctioned and took him to Horse Man. They tried to use the machine again and the two were taken to Angela in the mutant realm, which is the main setting.

(Btw, Horse Man did not like the animal realm very much and was considered an outcast. He also has a real name! But this post is long enough as it is.)

13. what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?

ooh I actually have to think about this one for a second, hang on

maybe using sensory details and actions to break up dialogue? Sometimes if I think there needs to be a moment between two lines of dialogue but I'm not actually giving the reader a chance to pause by using an emdash or an ellipses, I'll throw something in there to break it up. I have some examples from the damitim fic:

“You’re not talking?”  “No.” “Is that your call?”  Damian puts the teapot on the stove with slightly more force than required, flicking on the burner in the same fashion. “No,” he says flatly. 

okay yeah so in this bit I put that action with the teapot in there as a substitute for a line about Damian pausing, because "he paused" looked boring and felt wrong, so I gave him something to do in that time. This also uses the other bit of advice I posted about the other day about avoiding just saying how a character feels. The action I gave him tells you how he's feeling about it: he's frustrated. But also, he says no flatly, because he doesn't want his words to show that he cares.

Sometimes instead of an action I'll throw in a train of thought because like. If the character has time to notice a smell or to feel something, it creates the breathing room I need to emphasize the dialogue. like here:

“No, I fucking don’t! Damian,” Tim scoffs, as if he’s explaining this to a child, “I’ve been living with Ra’s Al Ghul for the last six years, do you honestly think that Bruce is going to trust me after that?”  And Damian hadn’t thought of that. Hadn’t thought of not trusting Tim, or forgiving him, for even a second.  He is not a fool. He does not think that Tim has spent six years lounging around like a prince in a castle, living in luxury.  That Tim spent six years there and kept his hands clean.  He pretends he does not feel like he’s begging.  “That does not mean you have to leave.���

the time it takes to get from the sentence to the response creates the feeling of the pause even though it's not written anywhere that there is a pause. It just feels like there was a pause while he processed that, and the dialogue is emphasized because of that. Honestly, this is probably the most common thing I do in editing. This actually might not be a common writing tip but I find it works for me and I already wrote all this out and I couldn't think of any common writing tips lol

I also don't love the whole 'the older one' 'the younger one' etc. thing, but that's more of a general writing pet peeve than in smut specifically. (It doesn't bother me if it's intentional and like. a kink that someone is leaning into? But it does bother me when it's clear that someone just didn't want to use names again)

Thank you so much! Yeah this is a short one, so I'll do the whole thing.

It's been a while since I wrote this one, but I'm pretty sure that I wrote the first scene or two, and then the last big long scene with Mabel, and then all of the rest to connect the two together. They were, originally, two different stories, and then I realised that they could be the missing pieces for each other.

The title is, of course, in reference to the story of Samson and Delilah, and specifically to cutting Samson's hair taking away his power. Hair and cutting it is a running theme throughout the fic, obviously, so that one's a bit of a gimme. I used 'Delilah' instead of 'Samson' for the title for two reasons, though - obviously, Delilah is a woman's name, and because of the Amanda Palmer song of the same name that lent a line to the fic. Iirc she had said in an interview that the frustrating Delilah the song is sung to, who keeps trusting people who'll only hurt her and walking blithely into situations against her own best interests, is her talking to herself. It all just dovetailed really beautifully together.

The campaign takes them, tonight, through the Haunted Wastes of Aden, once a lush and fruitful valley, now a giant, open grave for the fallen warriors of a recent, vicious, and utterly pointless battle.

It's been a while since I wrote this, so I can't be sure, but knowing myself, I'm guessing this was entirely intentionally to be a nod toward Ford's relationship and recent schism with his twin.

I met a Farrah the first time I dipped my toes in the waters of playing D&D. Life imitates art.

“I was born a girl,” he says, and then, quick, “I just, I just - thought. I wanted you to know.”

I forget, now, whether this was a prompt or just in an ask about the fic, but this line was sent to me by @angelsarenamederika, I didn't come up with it. This whole scene was built around that line. Past!me also helpfully mentioned that some of the scenes - especially the second-to-last and the last scene - were also inspired by their asks.

Dipper unwinds slightly, though that only means he is drawn tight as a violin string, rather than a bowstring.

I was just particularly proud of this simile.

“Exactly! Well done, my boy, you have a better understanding of the scientific process than many grown adults I’ve known.” Ford clears her throat, trying to remind herself to stay on track, though the way Dipper is beaming at her makes it very difficult to think about anything other than how terrifyingly lucky she is to be here to be able to meet him, and his sister. “You and I, my boy - we’re theories. There’s no way to conclusively, objectively 'prove’ something you can only feel for yourself.” She leans forward just enough to rest what she hopes is a comforting hand on Dipper’s shoulder. “And perhaps someday, you’ll encounter new evidence or a new dilemma that will change everything you understand. But until then, we don’t just stop doing science because we don’t have an absolute, indelible certainty to work from! We don’t stop exploring and creating, we don’t stop growing and changing. We start from what we do know."  Dipper bites his bottom lip, rubs the elbow of one arm with the opposite hand. Ford gives his shoulder a soft squeeze, and says, "And we do amazing things that way.”

Also this! Wow, I'd completely forgotten this was even in there. I'm still really pleased with this one.

This fic went up in 2016, so it would still have been relatively recently that I had come to the conclusion that I was, in fact, some flavour of queer. Clearly I was Working Through Some Things.

“Do you know, the other day I asked her to open her mouth and she burped glitter all over my face?”

I think I took this from an unused storyboard! Or possibly an Alex Hirsch tweet. I don't...remember it having actually made it into the show, but then, I definitely need to do a rewatch.

(Ford will never forget the sight of it, emerging from the trees, caved in on itself from its fall and looking for all the world as though it had stood empty and abandoned these last thirty years.)

I think, in canon and here, that seeing the Shack in the denouement of the finale gave Ford a new appreciation for how Stan preserved it. Just a small part of realising how much Stan had done, how much Stan had cared, how much Stan had mattered, just slightly too late.

Ford and Mabel should get to commiserate about being tricked by Bill into helping him end the world. That is all. And man, I'd forgotten how delightful Mabel is and how much fun she is to write.

"...Mabel, no one in their right mind would blame you for what happened."

This was published in 2016, so...this line was definitely, definitely a little pointed.

The Gravity Falls finale saying 'hey. Your pain also hurts the people you love and who love you, and an important kind thing you can do for them is to also be kind to yourself. You can't punish yourself out of their lives and make those lives better, they're better with you in them' got me crying in the club and I'm still emotional over it nearly a decade later.

The sun is brilliant, blinding, the sky a blue so blue it’s almost black at the very centre. The sea is calm and cold, the occasional little waves hitting just right against the prow and making it echo like a drum. The rigging creaks like old bones overhead. The internet connection is crap.

I just love the juxtaposition of high, poetic, dramatic, descriptive language, and casual vernacular. Tolkien does it particularly well. I am but a humble imitator.

The less said about Gravity Falls, the better. It hurts too much to remember, how bright everything had seemed, how rich with possibility.

This wasn't exactly what you asked, but I thought I'd mention that people who have read my stuff in general point out my use of off-the-wall metaphors/similes. If anyone enjoys my little flair in doing this, I highly recommend reading the works of Peter Beagle! I shamelessly stole the technique from him and made it my own. I recommend starting off with The Last Unicorn (it's a classic for a reason), but any of his older works share a similar style (A Fine and Private Place, Folk of the Air). I'm not sure that I would be a writer today without him.

Anyway...

-Fun fact: Akechi is easier for me to write than Yusuke. I, too, am very angry inside and probably just need a hug lol It's cathartic. Although, two years of studying art in college actually helps with writing Yusuke, because I don't need to look up art terms.

-In Aesopica, the ending was highly inspired by my favorite Tokyo Ghoul fic, in which Kaneki turns the tables on Tsukiyama in the end (huge content warnings for that TG fic btw). I loved how satisfying the circular nature of it was and wanted to try something similar. I knew the ending I wanted to create right from the first chapter.

I cannot remember how I came up with the fruit bowl to both mark the passing of time, and the decay of their relationship. But go past me for coming up with that! My 2017 brain was the real mvp.

This is also my longest fic and you will not see me write anything this long again lol I just don't have it in me. Shout out to long fic writers, I'll have some of whatever you're snacking on.

I also remember this being something of a vent fic. I was sad and wanted to my faves to be sad together. While I do enjoy supportive akekit, where they both grow together, I also love when they just make each other worse.

-Sliced Halves, Light Syrup, please imagine me in the grocery store staring blankly at a can of peaches while concocting an entire fic. Writers are very normal people.

This is also my second most popular akekit fic. Fluff sells, I guess. I prefer my darker stuff tbh!

-After Aesopica, my personal favorite of mine is Psychosomatic. I'm shy about my love of organ-fondling since it's not a common thing to be into (there's not even an official ao3 tag for it lol), so I'm grateful to the person on the kink meme for prompting this. Knowing someone else was interested allowed me to put myself out there and write it. I re-read it not long ago just for fun, and it holds up. It's the intimacy of literally touching the insides of someone, you know?

-I'm scrolling through my akekit fics now and wow! I do not remember some of these? Who wrote these while I wasn't looking??

-Kilroy Was Here was going to be serious angst about Akechi forcibly kissing Yusuke so that he would no longer trust him, because he feels like he doesn't deserve trust, blah, blah... But the idea of Yusuke annoying the crap out of him before they got to that point was so funny to me that I had to run with it. If anyone was wondering about my sense of humor, this fic is it. (I am not funny)

-Born to be Posthumous 69 kudos harr harr... I enjoy this one even if it wasn't as popular as some of my others. I remember being depressed and angry and wanting to take it out on Akechi.

the whole first verse is so House coded in my brain like...

this to me just feels like House every morning, like the one gta meme "aw shit here we go again" also him not sleeping is on par for the course. And not being able to decide between dreams and real life is why I think he watches General Hospital all the time.

The flies are in the house, I hear them making the rounds And they go something like this

For this I keep seeing an amv in my head where it zooms into House's head like how they do the cgi bits in the show and we see Cameron, Chase and Foreman (and maybe some of the other fellows) just going at it on guitar, bass and drums. (Cameron, Chase and Foreman respectively, idk I can just see Chase knowing his way around a bass)

Gotta work, gotta serve, gotta commit to the curse A thought would only get in the way Everything's a joke but thе bear has been poked Leavе your pack on, we're playing dead again

House has been "cursed" with being good at his job and his "punishment" is having to deal with people. Cuddy is the bear. Everything, to some extent, is a joke to House, and Cuddy doesn't like it when he "jokes around"

It doesn't matter, climb the ladder in your Sunday's best The city's got a sermon for you

On the very most surface level of House, it seems like he doesn't care about anything at all, this is the furthest from the truth. I think that the city is the hospital and the people there, always on him on ethics and the like. And following the amv again, I like to picture House in a suit, trying to climb a latter while holding out his cane for Wilson to grab to have him help him through whatever window it is he's trying to get through. Wilson is reaching for his cane in his lab coat

now on to the most crucial part....

But wait, hold on, I'm not ready to exist in this setting I gotta run it by my bathroom mirror And it's telling me ...Let me pick at your face...

This is the pre-chorus and chorus. House is saying, "gimme a sec, I gotta see if I look "presentable" enough" and I think that Wilson is the mirror, or at least an inverted mirror, and I'll get to why this is important once we get to the post-chorus

I see the blemish and the bags and recollections at hand You gotta let me pick at your face I got a bone to pick with your face later

The infamous post-chorus!! House looks at himself/Wilson and sees damage; a busted leg here, a failed marriage there, and everything in between. House wants to pick and poke and prod to get rid of it all (kinda like how he tried to fix his own leg) "I got a bone to pick with your face" suggests that House doesn't want to fix those things, but only to get rid of them, like beating up a bully to get them to leave you alone. You didn't really fix the problem, you just made the bullying stop and might have risked creating an entirely new problem

Feeling heavy like a levee in my broke down Chevy I barely made it up the hill There's no time for tired, let's defrost with a lighter Take the world on, we're feeling alive again It doesn't matter, like the latter, every day is the same The time is running either way

It's a fuck it, we ball kinda night, I guess. This is the surface of House showing again. Wanting to take on the world, but then going, "there's always tomorrow. General Hospital is on right now and I'd rather watch that." Also, not me thinking of the scene from Up about House barely making it up the hill. It somehow sorta fits

Got the keys in the ignition, we could bust through our mission And drive away from our aches and pains Weekends last forever when you make it out that way

The second pre-chorus has the amv juices in my brain going again. I can just see House and Wilson in Wilson's car driving away together to who knows where and enjoying every minute of it

I see the blemish and the bags, and recollections at hand You gotta let me pick at your face I got a bone to pick with your face So we can cover up the aches and pains

And finally the last post-chorus. House is seeing all of the things wrong with him and Wilson combined. It's like he begging to Wilson to let him take him apart, like those kids that buy cheep electronics just to take them apart to see how they work and to see if they can put it back together again. House is the kid and the cheep electronics are his busted leg and Wilson's failed marriages. Him wanting to take apart is a part of his twisted way of fixing things. He'll fix it by taking out the broken parts and calling it "good as new" when in reality, what he did actually made things worse. Also for the last line, I thought it was cauterize the aches and pains and not cover up the aches and pains. They technically sorta mean the same thing, and covering up and not dealing is also on par for the course with House, but cauterization is very homoerotic and an par for the course with hilson. Either way, this song is definitely 2024 House reincarnate

OKAY i have a bunch of OCs but here i'm gonna share about my main Portal World guys bc i love them

BEHOLD

This is the Portal Quartet (later known as the Portal Quintet once TaeTae joins but i'll talk about that later)

SO basically, to summarize, Portal World is a world I created when I was 11, and the main idea is that it's a world that welcomes everyone, especially those that have been wronged by their canon. It has portals tk many many different worlds in a tower at the center of the world, known as the Portal Tower.

That being said, since it was a world I made from scratch, I needed to give it some gods, right? as one does. So I created these 4 (then teenagers, bc i was a teenager too) to create the world in more detail for me. (at the time they all had made up japanese names bc i was really into anime but that's changed. they were also all boys at the time bc i was a little bitty egg at the time. they're also all in a band bc it's cool. anyway)

So, Ima talk about them in order of creation!

SALFAE

Salfae (often called either Sal or Fae, Xe/Xem pronouns) is the god if spring. Xe is in charge of feeding the local community by running a large farm and a market (called the April Shmapril Market, bc we take things sooo seriously here). Xe is the second youngest of the quintet (only older than TaeTae, xe just turned 26 y/o as of Jan 21st), even though xe was created first. Xir element is earth!! Xe likes growing and taking care of plants a lot, as well as playing the flute, and reading. Xe was also mute since xe was created which is cool, good job little me on that one. Xe is kind and calm most of the time, doesn't express a lot of emotion. Xe is QPPs with Yunamu.

YUNAMU

Yunamu (usually referred to as Yu, or lovingly as NamuNamu, he/him pronouns) is the god of the summer!! He is in charge of creating the land of the world for the people to explore and live in! He is one year older than Sal (he's turning 27 in november!). His element is water! He enjoys adventuring and exploring, as well as collecting rocks. He also plays the drums in the band! He likes to keep to himself usually though. He gets overwhelmed easily and will shut down if that happens. He is QPPs with Sal.

ZEM ULAEK

Zem Ulaek (Usually known as Z.O, they/them pronouns) is the god of the winter! They are in charge of the arts in the world! They just turned 28 in December, being two years old than Yu. Their element is air!!! They really enjoy music, especially playing the guitar and bass guitar! They are best friends with Reyna and actually have a big crush on her. They get easily annoyed and angry but they always mean well.

REYNA

Reyna (usually known as Rey, she/her pronouns) is the god of the summer! She is in charge of building and technology! She created the Portal Bracelets, which let residents travel between locations more easily with portals! She is 28 (will be turning 29 in August). Her element is fire!! She really loves dumb jokes and memes. She will quote them all the time (much to Z.O's (affectionate) annoyance). As mentioned before, she is Z.O's best friend. She also plays the guitar!

THAEUL

Thaeul (usually known as TaeTae, Tae/Taem/Taer or She/Her pronouns) doesn't have a season like the other 4 do but she was added last to the Portal now-Quintet. She is in charge of emotions, friendship, and identity/individuality! Tae will be turning 23 in August of this year! Taer element is energy/aether! Tae really likes being loud and proud, music, and dancing. She is basically everyone's beloved friend. Tae plays the piano!

She laughed at the message Mark had sent her, a stupid instagram meme. She gave it a like while with her left hand she opened the door of the house. She waited to hear the now so familiar screams of the boys when she opened the door but the silence made her raise her head from her phone, she frowned when she saw the seven sitting in the room talking in low voices as if they were sharing secrets, except for Jungkook who was in complete silence staring at the ceiling. She put her bag on the table, the sound of the keys hitting the glass caught the attention of the seven boys.

"What have i done now?" She laughed jokingly as she approached her groupmates. She expected someone to laugh at her joke but none did, not even the slightest smile. Her body tensed as the air in the room thickened.

"We have to talk." Namjoon's serious voice sent a chill run down her spine, she raised an eyebrow leaning against the television cabinet. A memory came to her memory, the situation was very similar to when she almost left the group years ago.

"Uh, okay?" She looked for Yoongi's gaze but he didn't reciprocate as he was very interested in the floor. A pain planted in her chest.

"Did you had sex with Taehyung?" The leader's question almost made her choke on her own saliva, her eyes darted to find the boy who shook his head.

"W-What?" Her voice came out hoarse, suddenly her throat was dry.

They knew it, they knew it and they were going to kick her out of the group. God, she was going to lose her family and everything she had worked for for four quick fucks.

The oldest of the group cleared his throat, uncomfortable with the situation "We know that you and taehyung...you slept together."

"Did you tell him ?!" She exclaimed to Taehyung, shocked and hurt. They had sworn that no one would ever know, for the good of both of them and the group "We agreed that we would not talk about it."

"I didn't say anything" The older's deep voice rang out across the room. The girl snorted in denial and separated her gaze from his.

"Arabella, this is not..."

“Look, it was many years ago and it was only once. You don't have to worry, we have nothing. We're just friends. ”She crossed her arms over her chest interrupting the leader.

"But that doesn't matter!" He raised his voice making everyone jump in their place. His face had turned red and the vein on his neck popped out “Since they put Yoongi hyung, Hoseok, you and me together we decided that nothing could ever happen in the group. Don't you understand how dangerous this is? BTS could go to hell for your hormones!" The leader was angry and it could be clearly seen since he never raised his voice to the girl, he never swore when he addressed her, much less called her by her name.

At that moment she wanted to cry.

“You are stupid! All our work, everything we've suffered could go to shit because of you. Do you understand?" He screamed again and this time a pout formed on her lips, Namjoon's gaze softened for a moment when he saw her like that but he quickly returned to its dark and cold tone "We live scared if at some point someone finds out who you are sleeping with, but this is the last straw".

"Namjoon..." She heard Jin in a mumble but they both ignored him. The only girl clenched her jaw angrily, she hated feeling like this. With tearful eyes she looked up at him.

“I know it was stupid but we were kids. It has not happened again and it will never happen again. I understand that you are angry, but you must stop treating me like if i was a fucking kid. I have sex, I like sex!" She exclaimed approaching him. Yoongi and Hoseok got up quickly in case they had to intervene “I'm not a baby. I'm not fourteen anymore, Namjoon. You can stop being my father, I'm old enought for that" Her tone relaxed, she looked at him sadly but more angrily.

Namjoon barely glanced at her before speaking again, this time with disdain “You have disappointed me, Arabella. I expected more from you, i expected for you to not be a whore”.

A silence filled the room, although it was interrupted by gasps of surprise from some of the members. She opened her mouth, looking at him hurt. This couldn't be happening. She sniffed, looking at him saddened and angry. She wasn't going to cry, she wasn't going to cry "I guess you're not the only one disappointed here."

She went to the table and after taking her bag she approached the door, she looked at him with a sarcastic smile "Ah, I've done threesomes, put it on the list of disappointments."

And with that she left the house. The pale skinned one sighed, drawing everyone's attention.

"Where are you going, hyung?" Jimin's sweet voice brought some peace to the tense situation.

Without looking at him, Yoongi headed for the door as well “I'll go find her. It's late, I don't want something to happen to her”.

"Let me know when you find her." He and Seokjin shared a nod before he left the house. The older of the group turned his head towards the leader "Nam, I can't believe you say that to her."

“Hyung, it was my fault. I kissed her” The other protagonist of the drama confessed looking at how his fingers played between them. He looked up at the youngest rapper in the room "I started it all, it wasn't her fault. After having se-..." He swallowed so hard his throat hurt when the older one glared at him "... doing that she felt very bad about what happened, she even cried".

"Was that why you didn't talk to each other for a whole month?" Jhope shifted instead so he could focus on his donsaeng better "That was in...2010? If I remember correctly" When he nodded Jimin pulled his little hands out of his hoodie pockets and started counting on his fingers, he gasped widening his eyes in surprise.

"You were sixteen and she was fifteen, you were very young."

This time it was Seokjin who gasped as he hit the boy sitting next to him on the shoulder "You perverted my baby!" He brought his hand to his chest in a dramatic "My poor baby."

"Well, it seems that she is not much of a saint either" Jimin's laugh sounded like one of a schoolgirl excited by some rumor.

"No...let's not talk about this anymore" The voice of the dimpled one interrupted the light atmosphere that Jimin and Jin had managed to create to ease the tension. As soon as he spoke the air became thick again. He glared at them from his spot "We won't tell anyone, but I don't want to see Taehyung and Arabella alone. We'll have to keep our eyes open."

"Hyung" Daegu's boy whimpered like a regretful puppy, he opened his mouth to explain that his relationship with Bella was no longer like that but the sound of the eldest Kim's cell phone interrupted him.

The name of the other boy from Daegu was written on the screen when Jin took the phone out of his pocket, quickly accepted the call and put it on the speaker.

"Have you found her? Is she okay?" Hoseok was the first to speak, approaching his hyung almost sitting on top of Jimin, who complained.

"No, I've gone to her apartment but she's not there. I've called some of her friends but Venus won't pick it up, Sunmi is in Japan and Mark says he has no idea pf whre she can be. I can't think of who else to call, I'm going to that coffee shop that she like so much but I doubt she is there. "

Taehyung bit his lower lip bringing his face closer to the phone while the others shared worried glances "Maybe she went to some party, maybe she's at Red sunbaenim's nightclub."

"Jigoku? Nah, it's closed today. I looked at it on their schedule on Google" The wind sounded strong making Yoongi have to raise his voice so they were able to hear him, he frowned when he got to the cafeteria and saw that It was closed. He looked at the time on his rolex, of course it was closed, it was one thirty in the morning. He let out a sigh "The cafeteria is closed."

"Maybe she went to one of our apartments, we all have keys" Jimin shrugged trying to come up with a solution.

"Why would she go to one of our houses having her own?" Yoongi's kick came off the phone again "Yah, Park Jimin that's so stupid."

The grey haired boy made a mini pout "I just wanted to help."

"I think it's not a bad idea, we should at least go check it out" Jin said while Hoseok stroked Park's arm trying to comfort him.

Jungkook got up from his place, all eyes were directed to him since he had not said anything at any time. Namjoon, who had also remained silent, frowned as he saw the maknae disappear down the hall and a few seconds later he returned with his keys in hand.

"Where are you going?".

The smallest of the group looked at him without any expression "To fix your mistake" And then he went out the door making him sigh, he brought his face against his hands.

"These kids are going to kill me one day."

A few minutes later Jungkook found himself in the elevator of the expensive and luxurious apartment building in which the group lived. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration, he was angry and hurt but mostly confused. He liked Arabella, fuck liking. He was in love with Arabella Lee and knowing that she had slept with Taehyung didn't help his feelings, of course. He clenched the bunch of keys in his hands, not only was he angry at Arabella, Taehyung and himself but he was also angry at Namjoon. How dare he call her a whore when she looked at him as if he painted the stars and hung the moon in the sky? Namjoon was one of the people Arabella loved the most in this world but he had to open his big mouth while he seeing everything red.

He sighed trying to relax when he started to shiver with anger, he decided to think of something else like where he could find the girl. He got out of the elevator when it opened letting him see the garage full of expensive cars, he went to his but something made him stop in the way. He looked at the green sign that indicated the stairs and below these a panel with the number of floors in the building, a little light came on over his head when he read the word rooftop.

She loved the rooftops, she loved to go up to smoke while she saw the views that the city of Seoul could offer.

"I got you" He smiled and went back to the elevator, pressing the button that led to the top floor, when he reached it he went to the stairs that led to the rooftop. He opened the door and immediately found her, there she was smoking a cigarette exactly as he had predicted.

He sighed again, this time remembering the last time the two of them met on a rooftop. He mentally cursed before approaching her, he gave her a small smile when she looked up and their eyes locked. She did not answer him but after a few seconds observing him without saying anything she got up releasing the white tube and throwing herself at his arms, it was not long until he felt his shirt get wet. He stroked her back lovingly, letting her cry.

"Shh, I got you. Everything is okay" He kissed her hair ignoring the bitter feeling that began to rise in the back of his throat.

Pretty sure I'm going to break a lot of hearts here. But I needed to say it. And yes it's about the Twins Choi. Because I love them too much. Both of them.

So anyway, I saw a couple of post on Amino (I forgot my password and even my nickname because it was on my iPod and that thing got broken so whatever. I'm too lazy to make another account and I really loved my nickname.. c'est la vie)

I'm going to try my best to make this spoiler free, but this is about the Saeran's AE Good Ending so if you haven't played, and you don't want to be spoiled, go away. Run for your life. If you're curious, and want to torture yourself, keep reading.

So, I'm gonna skip all, and say we had the Good Ending, you're happy, you're sad. You feel a thousand emotions running through your heart and cheeks, blah blah blah,

I'm going to the point here: I really can't see the flowers Saeran's is holding, except for the roses, and that's it. It's too white for my poor eyes and I'm writing this at 3AM (thanks Cheritz for ruining my schedule lolol I still love you)

Anyway, yes, we're supposed to be happy because it's Saeran's AE. And all that. BUT there are a couple of things that left me thinking. And freaked me out. (After embarrassing myself on Twitter with Cheritz because I experienced a glitch with the AE, I went through the app a couple of times and suddenly I realized that according to moi there was a picture missing, and I came back and embarrassed myself a second time because once wasn't enough....)

And that's how I discovered that Saeran's AE Good Ending picture was on.... 707's album. And I was completely weirded out because, Seven's picture is on his album. Right? So are the rest of the members. They have their own AE's picture on their own album. So... why??

Well here's why:

Look at both Choi body language. Their eyes are full of love for MC. Most logical thing would be, she's on the center, so it's impossible not to look at her. But if that was true, which isn't, look at Seven body language. He's basically all over MC, and it's even closer than Saeran's. 😳 His hips at least, and one of his legs, and one of his arms. So yeah... And if that's not enough, you can see how his eyes and his brother eyes are basically, in love, with her.

BUT if that doesn't convince you, the flowers will. At first I thought it was weird that both had bouquets. Both were pointing with their body language to MC and all that. And then I remembered a couple of things I read about flowers, and the way Saeran gives a huge importance to these. He knows the meaning of all the flowers. Even Jumin was impressed with his knowledge on his Normal Ending so he hired Saeran to work on his island.

Anyway, we know that Cheritz chooses the flowers really by their meaning. And that's how we know that the Lily of the valley means the promise of happiness. Which ironically, we're basically seated on a field full of Lily of the valley.

But, while I was investigating, the flowers that Saeyoung has on his bouquet are not just more visible, but also hold a deep meaning. At first I thought they were lavander. But I happen to have lavander on my backyard, and sorry to disappoint you, that, on Saeyoung's bouquet is not lavander.

It's Lilac. And it has a totally different meaning:

So yes. Seven still, loves us. Even if we're with his brother... and on a second thought... Why's he being so blunt? Because I'm pretty sure that Saeran knows about the meaning. And Saeyoung being blunt about it... not only that, but I think, he, in a certain way, want us back. And according to the whole image, he wouldn't really mind if we restart the game as long as we choose him. (He prefers to be the one who saves his brother and have us.) Pretty cute, and greedy. The way I think about it, it's that Saeyoung it's really trying hard not to ruin it but failing. And he also wants us to remember, that even if we're head over heels for his brother (let's admit it, Saeran's AE was completely awesome compared to his AE. Because we had more couple moments with Saeran's than Saeyoung with us. Even though we understand because he was trying to save his brother. Something we did now and we can completely understand because we would go to the end of the earth to make sure Saeran's okay... okay, I'll stop rambling.) Even if we're heads over heels for Saeran. Saeyoung wants to remember us that we were first. I don't think he blames us though... he just wants us back.

That also reminds me how he hug us when we were on his route taking us a bit away from his brother instead of sitting besides Saeran's.... coincidence? (Please don't do the I think not meme lolol)

Also you probably shouldn't see this until you've read the book or be prepared for spoilers. Fair warning.

I will say I think myles is much more immature then artemis. He's trying way to hard to be "adult" and that's a very childish trait. Artemis was like that due to trauma. He was forced as a child to refer to his dad as "father" and be professional, even setting up appointments via email to see his father and have "buisness meetings" when he was 10. He had to greet his father with a formal, firm handshake. And he wore a suit after his father was proclaimed missing assumed dead, due to the trauma of loosing his father and having been brainwashed by his father that he was to be the "man of the house" and take charge and be in control of the finances and the manor. He stole the lemur and even kidnapped holly due to the last words his father ever told him was talking about how he had to save the family and make sure they're money didn't go. He had to watch his family's money go down until they didn't even have enough to pay for any staff including butler (which by the way it is mentioned butler continues to be with artemis without pay for a bit and I'm telling you he doesn't see that as a job. He was going to take care of that child money or no money) and watch his mother go into insanity along with deal with his father being probably dead. That stuff changed him. He was always a genius but his childhood how he was raised and what happened is what made him into the suit wearing, mature, almost adult like, person we see in the books. He was forced to grow up. He doesnt act like this because he doesn't want to be childish hell we even see him in the 6th book wishing he could've had a normal childhood and had, had the chance to be childish.

But myles wears a suit just to copy his brother and disregards childish things just because. There's really no reason other then he believes genius=adult. He seems very immature and very childish. This is one of the reasons I wanted to see artemis in the books. Wouldn't it be fascinating to see him talk to his brother in the second or third book and explain to him why what he was doing was childish. And why myles had to learn to grow up and embrace who he is and what he likes instead of just acting like what he thought was the "proper adult" myles even tries to be someone he's not. He makes the comment that he shouldn't be so "dramatic" because it's the "enemy of science" but that's part of who he is. Even artemis never denied that part of himself. He was a dramatic little shit and not only aknowleded it several times but truly loved that part of himself. Because artemis was never trying to be an adult or mature he just was like that due to his life. I'd love to see artemis and myles talk and see this interaction but I guess we won't. Still salty about that.

I just find it cute that artemis was like "sure y'all can just fly around my house and train :)" the lep are like "we create zones far away from human civilization where fairies can we can train and fly around. Oh and there's one by the house of the guy who kidnapped one of us. Yea he caused some chaos in our life for a few years and anytime the end of the world was happening it was safe to assume he was somewhere nearby and yea we had no problems until he came and caused all the problems but he also like saved us a bunch of time so we're good now. We spy on him, he spies on us. he uses our technology, we train around his house. He's our bud." Like you guys have a very weird relationship

Ok. So I've just been introduced to our magical main character... And it's a hybrid (very interesting. I did wonder while reading the original if they were ever going to address like fairies and pixies or something coming together to have a baby because I mean you can't tell me that never happened. So I'm glad they're actually addressing that here and giving some information on it) named lazuli. And she's blue. A blue skinned girl who can fly named lazuli... I'm just going to tell you guys right now all I'm gonna see in my head every single time I imagine this character is

I'm really glad they're going over the different perspectives on artemis fowl. Like some people would trust him like he has saved countless lives due to his quick thinking and did become a good guy by the end and has helped fairies more then hurt them and even sacrificed himself for them. But some people wouldn't. At the end of the day he did kidnap a fairy, steal fairy technology which then got stolen by a horrible person who could've destroyed fairy civilization, manipulate and trick his way into getting a copy of their sacred book and put them in danger multiple times. I've seen a post talking about how fairies would view artemis after the series that I really liked over here plus some amazing art on it over here

Definitely give those a look but this reminded me of those

Myles is such a little shit and I love it. This is definitely the type of prank artemis fowl's little brother would play. Also would love to imagine one day artemis if in space and realizes what his code means and realizes what myles did and just in the middle of space butler can see his face go like

I will say I didn't like that they kind of dumbed up beckett. Like I thought he was going to be like butler or mulch, like not the smartest person In the room (to be fair the other ones in the room are foaly, artemis and myles. All certified geniuses) but still really smart and clever and able to keep up and think of their own plans. Like this is the kid who at 4 years old tricked his genius twin brother into giving him the code to open Artemis' room and sneak around. The kid who again at four years old was able to listen to butler, learn a move and perfect it to use his body's momentum to stun opal even if it was only temporarily. Like he was a clever and smart kid at 4 and for the most part able to keep up with his twin brother. His personality and interests may haven been very different and he may not have been a genius but that wasn't to say he was dumb either. He also doesn't even act or sound like an 11 year old. I've dealt with a lot of kids and beckett is behaving more like a 5 year old. I understand him not acting like artemis who was forced to grow up and mature, or myles whos trying really hard to act grown up and is very intelligent, but I was expecting a clever 11 year old, not a cosmo from fairly odd parents type of character. I'm still in the first few chapters so maybe we'll see him shine later but so far I'd like to see more of beckett's intelligence.
