巴爾蒂特堡 Baltit Fort 和阿爾蒂特堡 Altit Fort

罕薩谷地 Hunza Valley 算是觀光比較發達的地方，尤其卡里瑪巴德 Karimzbad 這裡，鎮上還會有一些觀光客紀念品商店。

巴爾蒂特堡 Baltit 就在Karimabad 鎮的上方，是十五世紀左右，由罕薩谷地的統治者所建。

罕薩的統治者本來是住在另一個阿爾蒂特堡 Altit Fort，後來因為兄弟鬩牆，或者另有一說是因為從巴爾蒂斯坦斯卡杜那邊嫁過來的公主住不習慣，她的父王遣送了那邊的各式工匠，新修了這個巴爾蒂特堡 Baltit Fort來住。

不管原因如何，反正後來的王室是在一直到這裡住到1945年才搬遷至山下，歷代的統治者多有擴建或修改，尤其英國入侵後，統治者還增加了英式風格的房間。

城堡最後是由阿迦汗基金會修復，現在開放給大眾參觀，裡面有一些文物的展示，包括跟中國往來的一些文件還有兌換銀兩的官票。

古時巴基斯坦北部山區有很多獨立的小王國，罕薩是其中之一，他們和對面的加納爾王國不合，當年還互相設置大砲互別苗頭。

城堡的周圍現在還有一些傳統的民居。

阿爾蒂特堡 Altit Fort 則是在幾公里之外的另一個山頭，這裡離河岸更近，視野更好，還可以回望剛剛的巴爾蒂特堡 Baltit Fort。

這個城堡原本正式的入口是在當地的居民區裡面，但現在不讓觀光遊客走進居民區打擾當地人生活，所以另外開了後花園的入口來進出城堡。

這個城堡更古老，大概有900-1000年的歷史，尤其屋頂的那個塔樓，是最早的建物。城堡的修復依舊是阿迦汗基金會負責，現在可以看到以前的房間、地窖、陽台，裡面的解說員還很喜歡幫遊客拍全景的影片。

附近另外有一個看日落的觀景點 Eagle Nest Viewpoint，當地人也都會來。

Altit Fort is an ancient fort at Altit town in the Hunza Valley in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It was originally home to the hereditary rulers of the Hunza state who carried the title Mir, although they moved to the somewhat younger Baltit fort nearby three centuries later.
