Android Pie beta now available for Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

Xiaomi has started to rollout stable MIUI 10 to multiple devices in China including Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S last week. The Mi Mix 2S is now getting Android Pie beta ROM after receiving MIUI 10 update for the device.

According to the below screenshots, the beta MIUI 10 version is 8.9.7, meaning it is pushed on Friday, September 7. Those who are interested in installing (early adopters) beta version are willing to work and report bugs before it releases to the public.

According to the report, the UI hasn’t changed after the update, but the device has become smoother and issues with the camera app have been fixed. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S now scores around 276.000 from Previous 260.000 points in the AnTuTu.

Xiaomi is working on the Chinese ROM; we should expect a Global release soon. The MIUI 10 will be made available to 28 different Xiaomi smartphones, but the Android Pie features such as Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Battery, better notification panels and machine learning capabilities will be limited to some devices.
