I think i never posted this?? Basically the idea came from i don’t remember who on the discord (astro boy discord, super cool, dm me if you’re interested :3) said they love the idea of atom in pluto have shows made about him, and those shows being the actual shows. But it can also just be interpreted as like, pluto atom looking through the multiverse.

Then i made it rainy because i want to torcher myself and hand draw hundreds of rain drops…

More Astro Boy drawn in Autodesk sketchbook, the goat of free software! Like seriously, I don’t hear much about its especially on art related content on YouTube. I’m sure they’re , mentioned somewhere at some point but didn’t get much of a spotlight while I was scrolling through.

The order from left to right is the order when I made them. Also that Demon Slayer screenshot, that table painting I did was actually impressive by my standards. And yes some of these are not fully colored bc either the color isn’t right or got distracted making other things lol.

For my headcannon for the 2009 universe, Tobio “haunts” Astro not out of malice or jealousy, mostly because he genuinely wanted to keep him company. Or maybe he got bored of heaven and annoys Astro like an older brother would do.

Usually if you guys see both Astro and Tobio together, it’s always the ‘09 duo. Oh and if you’re curious, I call the 09 Astro “Stripes” because of his shirt. Thought it’ll be fun to have different versions to have their own unique nicknames if they ever came across each other like “Raincoat” for Pluto due to his first appearance.

The Astro Boy movie is so underrated... I really felt for Astro Boy when he found out he wasn't the real Toby. The whole emotional and psychological distress he would have felt when he realized Toby died, he isn't the real Toby but rather he was created to replace Toby, and then was disowned by his own father/creator like he was nothing in a short matter of time. I wonder since he has all of Toby's memories can he recall Toby's last moments of life? If so that's even more sad

The more I think about Astro Boy (2009) the more my brain snowballs-

Imagine this. You're a kid. A gifted kid, but always a prodigy, never a child. The robot that works under your family spends more time with you than your dad does.

Unbeknownst to you, you d/e a horrible death and then everything is seemingly fine, your dad wants to spend time with you! Maybe he actually is okay with seeing your actual self and you being a kid-

Nope. No dice. Then within the same night he basically kicks you out, says he doesn't want you, AND THEN THE GOVERNMENT CHASE YOU DOWN FOR SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU HAD.

Then you get knocked down to what's effectively no man's land only to find, hey, friends! Hey, a decent dad figure! Hey, maybe things are gonna be okay-

NOPE. ROBOT GAMES. PATERNAL BETRAYAL. ALL YOUR FRIENDS HATE YOU NOW, HOWEVER BRIEFLY, BECAUSE AGAIN, OF SOMETHING NOT IN YOUR CONTROL. So, while probably not even at puberty age, you have to fight a bunch of other robots like you to the literal death, and then you get zapped by your 2nd betrayer/father figure when you refuse-

AND THEN THE GOVERNMENT POPS UP AGAIN. AND HE JUST ACCEPTS IT BECAUSE AT THIS POINT?? WHAT DOES THIS LITERAL CHILD HAVE??

AND THEN WHEN HE'S LITERALLY ABOUT TO GET SHUT OFF, SO BASICALLY KILLED, AT HIS OWN DAD'S HANDS MIND YOU, HE APOLOGISES FOR NOT BEING A BETTER TOBY?? LIKE SON NO, BABY, THIS ISN'T YOUR FAULT. YOU WENT THROUGH HELL ALL AT ONCE OVER LIKE...A WEEK AT THE MOST. YOU ARE A KID.

AND THEN HE LITERALLY SAYS 'THIS IS MY DESTINY' WHEN HE'S ONLY BEEN ALIVE LIKE 4 DAYS?? WHEN SAID 'DESTINY' BOTH TIMES INVOLVES DYING SOMEHOW???

Tobio 09 redesign

Hello everyone, I've been cooking something up >:D I (and my brother a bit too) have been working on an Astro boy 2009 rewrite thingy. I'm gonna be redesigning most, if not all of the characters so here's my Tobio/Toby design.

Idk how often I'll share updates on here, but don't expect them to be frequent lol.
