Fertilization
Fertilization is the process of fusion of sperm and ovum to form a zygote.
Sperm is the haploid male gamete and ovum is the diploid female gamete.
In humans and other mammals, fertilization is internal. Usually takes place in the ampulla of fallopian tube.
Fertilization is external in the case of frogs.
Male discharges semen into the vagina of the female during sexual intercourse, from the vagina, sperms reach the ampulla by the movement of their tails.
Sperm can survive in the female’s reproductive tract for 1-3 days, it can fertilize the ovum in the 12-24 hours following ovulation.
During sexual intercourse, nearly 300 million sperms are introduced into the vagina, but only a few hundred of them reach near the ovum.
The gametes have proteins on their surfaces, many reactions occur on the surfaces of the gametes to ensure each ovum can only be fertilized by one sperm.
The sperm must penetrate the outer layers of the egg, the corona radiata and the zona pellucida. This is facilitated by the enzymes released from the acrosome of sperm head.
Once a sperm enters the egg, the membrane of the egg changes to prevent other sperm from entering and ensuring diploidy.
The entry of sperm stimulates the second meiotic division of oocyte to form ovum
The genetic material from both the sperm and egg combine, resulting in a zygote with a full set of chromosomes.
The zygote undergoes rapid cell division to being the process of embryonic development.
Both gametogenesis and fertilization ensure genetic diversity and the continuation of life through successive generations.

Types and Functions of Placenta in Mammals
Placenta is a temporary organ which establishes a connection between the fetus and mother during pregnancy.
It supports the growth and development of the fetus by providing oxygen and essential nutrients and expels waste products from it's bloodstream.
There are different types of placenta based on various criteria: A) Based on the Involvement of Embryonic Tissue B) Based on the Relationship of Villi with the Uterine Wall C) Based on the Distribution of Villi D) Based on the Degree of Involvement of Fetal and Maternal Tissues
Depending on the involvement of embryonic tissue: - Yolk-Sac Placenta: Highly vascular yolk sac fuses with the chorion ex: Marsupials. - Chorio-Allantoic Placenta: Allantois with its blood vessels fuses with the chorion ex: Eutherian mammals
Depending on the relation between villi and uterine wall: - Non-Deciduate Placenta: Implantation superficial Fetal chorionic epithelium is in loose contact with the uterine epithelium At the time of birth the fetal villi are drawn out completely without tearing or causing injury to the uterine wall, no bleeding occurs ex: Pig, Horse, Cattle - Deciduate Placenta: Intimate implantation Uterine wall become eroded so that the fetal chorionic epithelium may come to lie either in the connective tissue or into the maternal blood. At the time of delivery, there is more or less extensive bleeding and tearing of uterine wall tissue. ex: Man, Dog, Cat - Contra-Deciduate Placenta: Intimate implantation Both fetal and maternal tissue are absorbed in-situ by maternal leucocytes. ex: Mole
Depending on the Distribution of Villi: - Diffused Placenta: Villi evenly dispersed over the surface of chorion, ex: Pig - Cotyledonary Placenta: Villi cluster in large isolated patches, ex: Sheep - Zonary Placenta: Villi arranged in definite band or girdle encircling the middle of chorion, ex: Carnivores like dogs - Discoidal Placenta: Villi are limited to 1-2 discoidal patches, ex: humans
Depending on the Degree of Fetal and Maternal Tissue Involvement: - Epitheliochorial Placenta: The uterine epithelium and the embryo’s chorion remain in simple apposition 6 membrane barriers between fetal and maternal blood streams ex: pig - Syndesmochorial Placenta: The uterine epithelium disappears chorion makes direct contact with either the glandular epithelium or the endometrium 5 membrane barriers ex: sheep and cattle - Vasochorial or Endotheliochorial Placenta: Endometrium and glandular epithelium both vanish Chorion directly contacts the uterine capillary endothelium 4 layers ex: cat and dog - Haemochorial Placenta: Endometrium, glandular epithelium, and endothelium of the capillaries disappear Chorion is bathed in maternal blood 3 layers ex: Humans - Haemoendothelial Placenta: Like haemochorial placenta, the maternal blood capillaries all vanish. But the outer later of the blastocyst also disappears. The fetal endothelium separates the maternal and fetal circulating bloodstreams 2 layers ex: Rats
Function of Placenta:
1) Nutrition: Food materials pass from the mother's blood into fetal blood through the placenta.
2) Digestion: Trophoblasts of the placenta digest proteins before passing them into fetal blood.
3) Respiration: Through the placenta oxygen passes from the maternal blood to the fetal blood, and carbon dioxide passes from fetal blood to maternal blood.
4) Excretion: Nitrogenous wastes such as urea pass from fetal blood into maternal blood through placenta and are filtered out by the kidneys of the mother
5) Storage: Placenta stores glycogen, fat etc. for the fetus before the liver is formed.
6) Barrier: Placenta functions as an efficient barrier which allows useful aerials to pass into fetal blood. But, harmful substances such as nicotine and heroin can pass through placenta. Therefore, pregnant women must avoid cigarettes and drugs. Viruses and bacteria can pass through placenta.
7) Endocrine Gland: Placenta secretes hormones such as oestrogen, progesterone and human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG).

Gametogenesis and Spermatogenesis
Gametogenesis is the process of creating gametes, it is the first phase in the sexual reproduction of animals.
Gametogenesis involves a combination of mitotic and meiotic divisions. Mitotic divisions allow the germinal cells to proliferate, while meiotic divisions result in haploidy.
In males, gametogenesis is known as spermatogenesis. It occurs in the testes and leads to the production of sperm.
In females, gametogenesis is called oogenesis. It takes place in the ovaries and results in the formation of ova

Spermatogenesis takes place in the male gonads or testis.
Human testes are formed of many seminiferous tubules bordered by germinal epithelial cells and Sertoli cells between them.
Sperms are produced from the cells of the germinal epithelium while Sertoli cells offer nutrients to sperm and anchor the differentiating cells.
Spermatogenesis is a continuous process that can be studied in two distinct stages: Spermatid formation and spermiogenesis.

Spermatid Formation
The germinal cells which dev into spermatids are called primordial germ cells. They undergo the following:
1) Multiplication Phase: - Primordial germ cells are larger and have distinct chromatin-rich nuclei. - They undergo repeated mitotic divisions to produce sperm mother cells or spermatogonia. - Spermatogonia are diploid cells.
2) Growth Phase: - The spermatogonia cells grow in volume, they amass an abundance of nutrients and chromatin. - At this stage, spermatogonia cells are called primary spermatocytes. - Still diploid cells.
3) Maturation Phase: - Primary spermatocytes undergo the first meiotic division to produce secondary spermatocytes. - Secondary spermatocytes are haploid - Each secondary spermatocyte undergoes the second meiotic division to produce two spermatids - Therefore 4 haploid spermatids are formed from one primary spermatocyte. - Since spermatids cannot directly function as gametes, they undergo spermiogenesis.
Spermiogenesis is the transformation of spermatids into spermatozoa.
During spermiogenesis, the following transformations occur: - The large spherical nucleus becomes smaller by losing water and usually changes its shape into elongated structure. - The Golgi bodies condense into a cap called acrosome in front of the nucleus - Nucleus and the acrosome combinedly form the head of the developing sperm while the cytoplasm with mitochondria and centrioles move downwards and form the cylindrical middle piece behind the head. - The two centrioles of middle piece develop axial filaments which are bunched into a single thread and extend behind in the form of a long vibratile tail. Thus, spermatid is transformed into a motile sperm divisible into head, middle piece and tail.

They form from embryonic tissue and serve various functions to support and protect the developing embryo, such as providing nutrition, gas exchange, waste removal, and protection
Fetal membranes have evolved to enable vertebrate embryos to develop on land. They provide the necessary support and adaptations for embryonic survival outside of an aquatic environment.
In chicks, there are four fetal membranes: - the amnion, the chorion, the yolk sac, and the allantois
Amnion - Acts as a protective cushion around the embryo - Prevents mechanical shocks and provides a stable environment for development. - Contains a fluid-filled cavity known as the amniotic cavity, in which the embryo floats in amniotic fluid. - This protects the embryo from desiccation and concussions.
Chorion - Aka serosa - The outermost membrane, surrounds the other extra-embryonic membranes and plays a role in gas exchange. - Also provides additional support. - In chick, the chorion fuses with the allantois during later stages of egg development - This forms the chorioallantois, a combined respiratory and excretory organ.
Yolk Sac - Surrounds and nourishes the yolk - Supplies essential nutrients to the developing embryo. - Serves as the first respiratory organ for the embryo, allowing for gas exchange. - Acts as a site of hematopoiesis, similar to the liver, and produces blood cells. - As development progresses, the yolk sac diminishes in size and is eventually incorporated into the chick’s digestive system.
Allantois - Involved in waste management and gas exchange. - Initially forms as a precursor to the urinary bladder, stores embryonic waste and facilitates the exchange of gases. - This allows for the resorption of carbon dioxide and the uptake of oxygen. - In chick, the allantois also participates in the absorption of calcium from the eggshell.
Each of these fetal membranes is composed of two germ layers
The amnion and chorion consist of the extra-embryonic ectoderm and the somatic layer of mesoderm, collectively called the somatopleure.
The yolk sac and allantois are composed of the extra-embryonic endoderm and the splanchnic layer of mesoderm, collectively called the splanchnopleure.

Regeneration is the innate ability of some organisms to replace or restore damaged or absent organs, tissues, cells, or even entire body parts to their fully functional state.
The underlying mechanisms of regeneration are governed by molecular processes, specifically gene regulation. These processes drive cellular activities such as cell proliferation, morphogenesis, and differentiation.
There are 2 laws of regeneration: - The capacity for regeneration is greater in simple animals and it diminished with more complex forms in the animal kingdom. - The ability for regeneration may be greater in the earlier stages of development.
Among platyhelminths, the process of regeneration is exceedingly higher in planarians. Any small piece of planarian worm can develop into a whole animal again.
Planarians are "almost to be called immortal under the edge of the knife."
However among reptiles, the regeneration is restricted to the replacement of lizard tails, proving the first law.
There are 4 types of regulation: - Epimorphosis - Morphallaxis - Heteromorphosis - Super Regeneration
Epimorphosis is contingent upon the growth of novel, appropriately patterned structures - ex: replacement of broken tail in lizard.
Morphallaxis is characterized by minimal growth and primarily relies on the repatterning of existing tissues. - if planaria is cut into 2 or more pieces, each piece will reconstitute itself into a new and complete individual of a diminished size. - even a small piece can regen into a complete whole.
Heteromorphosis is when a particular organ is amputated, the remaining portion may develop into a different organ entirely. - ex: shrimp eye may regen into an antenna
Super Regeneration is a restorative regeneration which encompasses the restoration of the entire organism or specific lost body parts. - In planaria, simply a small wound can cause the development of a new organ. - If there is an incision near the head, an additional head may regenerate.

Cleavage is a fundamental process in embryology that occurs during the early stages of embryo development.
It involves the division of cells, leading to an increase in cell number and the formation of a cluster of cells known as blastomeres.
Blastomeres come together to form a compact mass called the morula.
Cleavage ultimately culminates in the formation of the blastula or blastocyst.
Cleavage is initiated by the sperm during fertilization, which activates the zygote.
Cleavage primarily occurs through repeated mitotic divisions, wherein the zygote rapidly undergoes cell division.
Cleavage increases the number of cells and nuclear mass without a corresponding increase in cytoplasmic mass, the ratio of nuclear material to cytoplasmic material increases with each division.
Cleavage is influenced by the concentration of yolk present in the egg. Depending on the amount of yolk, cleavage can be categorized as either holoblastic or meroblastic.

Based on the symmetry of cleavage, there are 5 types: - Radial - Spiral - Bilateral - Biradial - Rotational
Radial: Regular cleavage, divisions perpendicular to each other.
Spiral: Cleavage planes are oblique. The four blastomere of lower plane rotate clock wise or anti-clock wise.
Bilateral: Unequal holoblastic cleavage, blastomere of one lateral side are smaller and the other four lateral blasotmeres are larger in size.
Biradial: First two cleavages are meridional and third is vertical. Four central blastomere are large and four blastomere are small.
Rotational: - The zygote divides vertically into two daughter cells. - One of the blastomeres divides longitudinally, while the other divides latitudinally. - These divisions rotate 90 degrees from each other. - This pattern continues so that the resultant blastomeres end up being smaller than their respective parent cells

Deutschland Über Alles: the rOtring 600
Originally released in 1989, the 600 mechanical pencil was rOtring’s first foray into the “upscale writing instrument market”. It’s main body, designed in a hexagonal shape to prevent rolling, is machined on a lathe out of a solid piece of brass. The tip is also solid brass, now cylindrical with a coarse knurling to provide grip. The long lead sleeve helps reduce breakage and also allows for a better view of the line being drawn when used with a straightedge. Moving the other way up the pencil’s body, there is a removable brass pocket clip, a rotating knurled section with a window that can be adjusted to indicate the hardness of lead being used (display options are 3H, 2H, H, F, HB, B, and 2B, listed in order of descending hardness), and finally the eraser cap which serves to engage the lead advancement mechanism, also brass.
The 600 is something of a cult classic among engineers and drafters. Its simple but thoughtful design, quality materials, durability and reliability, and ease of use embody qualities all engineers strive for when designing a tool. The visual language of the pencil is rugged and elegant: this is a no-bullshit tool designed to create greatness. The muted black with splashes of primary red branding motifs gives the pencil a mature feeling. It’s fixed lead sleeve provides a stable, wobble-free writing experience, and facilitates reliability by employing a minimal number of moving parts.
I’ve been using the 600 pencil since high school. I got my first one, in 0.7mm, as a gift to myself in 11th grade after taking and enjoying a hand drafting course. I retained this one some way into university. When I lost it, heartbroken, I immediately ordered one in 0.35mm to replace it. When this one also eventually dematerialized, I finally replaced it with a 0.5mm model, which I’ve owned for about 5 years. The areas of the knurled grip where the black coating has been eroded to expose raw brass are a testament to my appreciation for this precision machine. Recently, I picked up a 600 ballpoint to compliment it. In this I’ve put a needle tip refill that somewhat mimics the look of the pencil’s lead sleeve.
Unfortunately, one of the 600’s strong points is simultaneously it’s fatal flaw: the non-retractable lead sleeve, a central factor in the pencil’s simplistic and reliable mechanism, is extremely prone to bending when dropped. Most get around this by putting a pen cap over the tip, but it’s inelegant and I haven’t found a nice black metal tip that fits snugly, visually compliments the pencil, and doesn’t extend the pencil to an unwieldy length when capped.
I want to try the 800 next. Its retractable tip nullifies the 600’s Achilles heel, but isn’t without it’s own problem: the movability of the lead sleeve introduces a noticeable level of wobble while writing, sacrificing the rock steady stability that is part of what made the 600 the cultural icon it is today.
I haven’t had the chance to write with an 800, and there’s a simple O-ring mod that all but eliminates the wobble, so it’s entirely possible that I’d be satisfied with the writing experience with the 800. Even then, though, you just can’t beat a classic: no futuristic self-driving car will ever be able to match up in coolness to the pencil world’s equivalent of John Carmack’s turbocharged Ferrari 328.

Reflection 10 1. Why will there always be some unemployment? Economists divide the reasons people are unemployed into five reasons: cyclical, structural, seasonal, frictional and institutional. For the unemployment rate to become zero, all five would have to disappear. Cyclical unemployment happens because the economy goes through periodic cycles of booms and busts. During the  HYPERLINK "http://www.nber.org/cycles.html" Great Recession from 2007 to 2009, businesses needed far fewer workers because they were selling less. Structural unemployment occurs when a worker’s skills no longer match any business need. The economy is constantly evolving, and new types of jobs are being created, while old jobs are destroyed. Seasonal unemployment is when there is no work because of weather or time conditions. For example, lifeguards who protect swimmers are usually hired in summertime and then laid off in the fall. Little can be done about seasonal unemployment since control of the weather and seasons are beyond human control. This means we always will have some seasonal unemployment. Frictional unemployment arises because searching for a job does not always provide instantaneous results. It takes time for businesses looking for workers and people wanting jobs to find each other. 2. Why the Unemployment Rate Matters? Unemployment adversely affects the disposable income of families, erodes purchasing power, diminishes employee morale, and reduces an economy's output. According to the U.S.  HYPERLINK "https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bls.asp" Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), when workers are unemployed, their families lose wages, and the nation as a whole loses their contribution to the economy in terms of the goods or services that could have been produced.1 Unemployed workers also lose their  HYPERLINK "https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/purchasingpower.asp" purchasing power, which can lead to unemployment for other workers, creating a cascading effect that ripples through the economy. In this way, unemployment even impacts those who are still employed. When companies are trying to cut costs, they often reduce their workforce as one of their cost-saving measures. Those workers who are left to do more work after a company lays off part of their staff are not likely to receive any additional compensation for the extra hours they are working. 3. Unemployment can also have a negative effect on the mental state of those who are still employed. They may become more concerned about losing their jobs or be hesitant to search for other employment because they have a false belief that they "are lucky" to be employed at all. They may even feel guilty about having a job when their co-workers are out of work.  After further research, I agree, a high unemployment is also problematic for the U.S. economy. Over 70% of what the U.S. economy produces is purchased by domestic consumers through their  HYPERLINK "https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/pce.asp" personal consumption habits.2 Unemployed workers consume far less than those with a steady income because they have less discretionary income. 4. The effects to the Federal response to Covid-19 pandemic: The Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), signed by President Trump, continued providing unemployed individuals with a flat amount but reduced it from $600 to $300 each week starting Dec 26, 2020.4  This provision was set to expire on March 14, 2021; but was extended once again with the Biden administration's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The appropriate response, in a red-hot economy coming out of a pandemic, and lockdowns, with  HYPERLINK "https://www.wsj.com/articles/weekly-jobless-claims-coronavirus-04-29-2021-11619647721?mod=article_inline"unemployment still far higher than it was pre-Covid, the country is in a striking predicament. Businesses can’t find enough people to hire. Surveys suggest why some can’t or won’t go back to work. Millions of adults say they aren’t working for  HYPERLINK "https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-other-reason-the-labor-force-is-shrunken-fear-of-covid-19-11618163017?mod=article_inline"fear of getting or spreading Covid-19. Many people are receiving more in unemployment benefits than they would earn in the available jobs. Some who are out of work don’t have the skills needed for jobs that are available or are unwilling to switch to a new career. The labor-market imbalance is fact, many workers, particularly women, find it difficult to work outside the home. The Department of Labor stated, more than 16.1 million people received unemployment benefits the week ended April 17, 2021. That includes gig workers and the self-employed who are typically not eligible for such payments. Under the relief bills passed by congress, those receiving jobless benefits get an additional $300 a week on top of regular state benefits, which average $318 a week, according to the Department of Labor. This means the average unemployment recipient earns better than the equivalent of working full time at $15 an hour. A possibility: Workers could stand to benefit from a temporary reduced supply of labor. They could command promotions and better wages, which they then could spend in their communities, boosting economic output. They might also be able to negotiate more flexible schedules or other perks. Nier: Automata  Advent Chapter 1-Preview (Spoiler)
Advent Liars-by-Red Spring
Throughout the ruins, the doves flew over, unaware of the flying mods that busied themselves in the same sky. It was a sunny day, not too warm and not too cold. Vines and vegetation climbed up the decrepit buildings. Flowers were beginning to bloom, beautiful ones of forget-me-nots, yellow and white roses, pink carnations, heliotropes, honeysuckles and lavenders. Lotuses bloomed along the pools of water.
Birch Trees sprouted like bamboo, cherry trees grew plump fruit that attracted the birds and other land creatures. Gigantic Elder Trees overtook the buildings and upheaved the ground like giant hands.
A small Wisteria tree grew in a center of a square.
The remains of human civilization were nothing compared to the might of nature. Buildings were part of the forest as much as the trees
Still, the Pods continued their duty, through rain and shine.
It was not long since they began their task, since they became aware and the desire for change bloomed in them like the recent flowers.
The parts they needs were sparse and far, but still they persisted and only in a few cycles of the sun and moon did they succeed. It was an old place, older than the old world. Before the Aliens, before androids. Of sorts. They found it, when they to them where to look for parts to fit in them. And new parts. It was full of information, of old technology and something else that was... Old. Nothing like it. But the data on it was invaluable, what it was, where it came from, what was done with it. How it can be used. Humans were dead but they left behind much. It was a flat building, disguised by the trees and what not, buried deep, deep underground, the roof covered in vines and flowers. Inside, pass the broken and ruined rooms, into the metal halls and down, and down to a lab that had passed through time. On two tables two lay; intact, every joint evened out, every system completed and running smoothly, bio-carbon-2258 synthetic skin patched up and even the stitches on their black clothing was all repared. They found parts that were stronger, lost in time that had to be dredged up from the anals of history. But they were found, and placed to keep them functioning.
And new ones have added. Some, that even the Pods did not know what to make of. However  data was provided and they had shown them the benefits. If it kept them all living then it was worth it.
Even to this day remnants of mankind’s civilization lingered, through buildings, art and culture.
Now, all that had to be done was for Pod 042 and Pod 153 to transmit the consciousness and memory data back to their original hosts.
For YoRHa NO. 2 Type B(E) and YoRHa NO. 9 Type S had to awaken to end the cycle of death and sadness. To start a new chapter. But for what the Pods did not know. They were designed to protect and care for their androids, their other half and to them this constitutes as that.
Things were changing, and they wanted the two androids to be part of that change. To learn how to live. What a glorious concept.
They left behind information of philosophy, medicine, politics, religion, literature-
“Question: They are fully functional?” 042 asked its companion and fellow Pod, 153. They hovered in the air, in a large room, that had once been buried in the ground. But due to time, the ground had eroded to reveal the outline of the lab. Still the integral reinforced structure of this secret lab, kept all form and integrity. Preserving the treasures of ancient times against the ages.
If 153 could nod, it would have.
“Confirmation:Yes, the bodies are ready to receive the consciousness. Shall we begin the transmission?”
It was illogical to ask the obvious, but 042 answered 153 anyway. “Affirmative. Begin Tra-” The pod paused. Its sensors started to pick up something, then went haywire when that something became familiar.
Science ...
The doors to the lab slide open, revealing two figures. Both female with bright blue eyes. One had wilder hair then the others straighter one. But their hair was black as night and wore white dresses of mourning of an ancient culture long ago.
..and Magic.
Their designations were Devola and Popola. The same unit model as the Devola and Popola that had helped 9S and A2 previously, the same model that had failed to preserve mankind
Their hair color and garments were to symbolise their eternal mourning for the extinctions of humans. They found solace in that and each other.
Upon sensing the deaths of their sister units, the two had traveled to the city were the battle had taken place and the tower collapsed.
They found the previous Devola and Popola, read their memories and buried the bodies and found the pods working on 2B and 9S. Thus leading the pods to take the bodies towards this hidden facility, to which they had explained to the pods technology and other methods older than the old world.
It had taken several months and the shelter was needed to bypass the harsh winter weather as rebuilding a complex YoRHa unit would be greatly hindered by the winds, ice and snow.
Now on the dawn of Spring, the two androids were ready for life again and the twins had shown up to deliver the last key.
In each of their hand was a book. One black and one white. Brittle and fragile, as though a gust of wind will blow them into oblivion.
The covers were so worn you could hardly make out the face like motif. If you looked closely, it would look like both books were crying in sorrow, much like the shadow of grief upon the twins.
“Acknowledged: Devola and Popola. Your presence is welcome.” Pod 153 greeted the two androids.
“Query: What do you have in your possession? Scans indicate they faintly radiate an unknown energy.” 042 was quick to make the observation about the two books.
It was then Dark Popola spoke. “We have come to make the last stage complete for 2B and 9S. One that they will need in the future.”
The pods hovered silently, a joint rotating in a few seconds before 153 spoke. “Unclear: The bodies are assembled and all that is required is to transfer the consciousness data back to the respective host.”
“Conclusion: A last step is not needed.....” 042 paused. “Hypothesis: The ones known as Popola and Devola know something that Support Pod Unit 153 and Unit 042 have failed to comprehend.”
Devola nodded. “Yes. While the modifications made to the bodies of your friends will greatly aid them, these-” She held out the book ever so slightly. “-will unite it.”
“Query: What.... are they?”
Popola and Devola took place over each android. Devola with the white book near 2B and Popola with the black book near 9S. “These books are of an age long pass.... Something that was suppose to bring back mankind.” Popola softly said.
Devola was equally as soft, the twins never rose thier voice above a quiet indoor voice. “But that function has failed. Now, they are to continue humanity instead. Empower them in aspects beyond what parameters have set for them.”
The pods concluded that the two were talking about the failed Gestalt project. It was a phenomenon that involved technology and magic of humans in an age long past. The two books must have been catalyst for the project. Their deteriorated state must have been from their lack of function and purpose.
What they did not get... is what they said about humanity.
The pods took place near their respective androids, protectively one might say. “Query: What does Devola mean by the phrase ‘continue humanity’, when Popola spoke of a contradicting statement earlier.” 042 said. Humanity was cognitively to mankind was it not? If mankind was extinct then by definition humanity is extinct.
Yet Devola smiled and Popola did the same. And what was unique about this smile, is that it didn’t have that much sadness in it. It could be... happy.
What could cause these two burdened beings to be happy?
“Humanity is not so simple as to be constrained to a single species. Once we thought it was, but even shells can develop their own humanity. Given time.” Devola explained to the pod.
And Popola continued the lesson. “When they went extinct, we thought that humanity was gone... but even then, they left it behind in their creations.” The twins looked down at 2B and 9S.
What defines humanity? What defines a soul? When is it, to the point you are no longer a fake and instead yourself?
They were happy, because they found redemption.
For humanity is not confined mankind. Humanity, is life. It is choice, free will, emotions, will, determination in trial, making your own purpose, learning about one’s self. Learning, developing, adapting. Joy, sadness, hatred-
And Love.
It was all these things that had found basis is mankind's creations. The gifts they had unitentionally passed on through the androids trials and own purpose however a lie it may be.
The Pods still didn’t understand what exactly the sister androids meant by this, they would need time to analyze it on a later date. But these two believe in 2B and 9S thus, they would allow this final component.
It was time.
Grimoire Weiss and Grimoire Noir turned to dust and flowed into the YoRHa androids.
Together Science and Magic melded into the remnants of what was left of humanity. Humans or the Replicants may have built androids to perpetuate a lie while humanity was dead but somehow, that spark of humanity, that hope, blossomed like the flowers that surrounded them. Light and text flowed in the air, pouring into the center Found in these two androids who fate has treated very unkindly.
Maybe they’ll find happiness.
As they become a new breed, a species to carry on humanity.
For humanity wasn’t a race. It was life.

When thinking about how to buy stocks, it’s probably best to start with the most successful investor of all time: Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Buffett favors understandable businesses with good balance sheets, high returns, reasonable valuations, and strong market positions. Among his other insights is to be selective: “You don’t need to swing at every pitch,” he has said. He also thinks that the best ideas often are simple ones, saying that unlike diving, investing offers no rewards “for degree of difficulty.” Buffett’s approach has led him to such long-term winners as Coca-Cola (KO), American Express (AXP) and Wells Fargo (WFC). That said, even Buffett has struggled in recent years. Shares of Coke and American Express have flat-lined as the once-broad “moats” (a favorite Buffett phrase) that separate them from rivals have eroded. Wells Fargo, meanwhile, got hit with an account-opening scandal, though it has bounced back this year. Buffett’s largest investment in recent years, IBM (IBM), has badly lagged the market. His investment travails just show the difficulty of the game. At Barron’s, we take a flexible approach to selecting the companies that we profile favorably that incorporates Buffett’s insights. We tend to favor value stocks (those with low price-to-earnings or price-to-book ratios) but also write favorably about growth companies (those with rapid earnings and revenue growth). Of course, everyone should start with a well-diversified portfolio before trying to pick individual stocks. Below are a few of the rules that we follow (and, yes, occasionally break). Before you buy a stock, subject it to these tests. Paying for Growth When buying growth companies, look for dominant businesses and don’t overpay. Try not to pay more than 25 or 30 projected earnings a year out. As 2016 came to a close, the overall market looked pricey, and yet we identified more than a few companies that fit that bill. They included Google parent company Alphabet (GOOG), Facebook (FB), Apple (AAPL), Visa (V), Mastercard (MA), Disney (DIS), Home Depot (HD) and Microsoft (MSFT). They’ve all done fairly well so far in 2017. If you pay more than 25 or 30 times forward earnings even for an excellent company, you are vulnerable to the slightest earnings or revenue disappointment. And even if growth pans out, the stock may not appreciate as investors worry about sustainability and the price-to-earnings multiple contracts. Under Armour (UAA) is a great apparel company yet its stock slid nearly 30% in 2016. Why? It started the year with a forward P/E of more than 60. When it revealed a slowdown in its growth – natural as a company gets larger – investors decided it no longer merited that sky-high valuation. Be careful about fads. Fitbit (FIT) and GoPro (GPRO) fell sharply from their highs as consumer enthusiasm waned for activity trackers and action cameras. Also be wary of fashion-oriented companies with high stock-market valuations. Retailers focused on one name brand, such as Kate Spade (KATE), Coach (COH) and Michael Kors (KORS), have suffered in a saturated market. Better to stick with diversified apparel and accessories makers like VF Corp. (VFC) and LVMH (LVMHF), parent of luxury goods maker Louis Vuitton. Instead of betting that one designer will continue to excite consumers, you’ll be aligning yourself with successful operating companies that have succeeded even as tastes changed. Sometimes, companies with meager current earnings and desirable franchises can pay off. Barron’s has made the case for the stock of Madison Square Garden (MSG), owner of the New York Knicks and Rangers, and for (BATRK), a tracking stock for the Atlanta Braves. Both companies traded at a sizable discount to the estimated value of their assets. Time will tell if these values get realized. Assessing value When selecting value-oriented stocks, try to find those with some earnings growth or alternatively, select ones that are valued so cheaply relative to book value or earnings that they don’t need much growth to be good investments. A rock-bottom valuation would be less than 75% of book value or eight times earnings. Financial companies make up the largest component of the value-stock universe. When investing in big banks and insurers, try not to pay a big premium relative to tangible book value – a conservative measure of shareholder equity that excludes goodwill and other intangible assets stemming from acquisitions. In theory, book value should approximate liquidation value, offering a floor under the stock price. If you can buy a solid financial company at tangible book value, it has a good chance of working. Try not to pay much more than 1.5 times tangible book or 15 times current-year earnings. This strategy can pay off in a big way as these stocks tend to be highly cyclical. As the economy ebbs and flows, investors get an opportunity to buy financials cheaply. Barron’s wrote favorably on Goldman Sachs (GS) in mid-2016 after it was battered on Britain’s vote to leave the European Union and traded around $142, a discount to tangible book. With financials back in vogue after Donald Trump’s election win, Goldman shares soared, and hit $250 in February. Note that some financial stocks can stay cheap for a long time – more than seven years after the financial crisis, Citigroup (C) still fetched about 90% of tangible book, and only recently, in the post-Trump bank rally, did it trade at book value. The price-to-book guidelines for financials using book value don’t apply to asset-light financial companies like Visa and Mastercard, which benefit from the steady growth of debit- and credit-card transactions at the expense of cash. They trade at much higher price-to-book multiples. Another point: Don’t be put off by a high absolute stock price, which in and of itself has nothing to do with valuation. A triple-digit share price simply reflects an unwillingness of management to split shares. Focus on the stock price relative to earnings – and book value when relevant. In fact, stocks with high absolute prices sometimes are inexpensive relative to cheaper brethren in the same industry because many investors recoil at a high stock price. Berkshire is the best example. Buffett has refused to split the A shares (BRK.A) – although the company created lower-priced class B shares (BRK.B) about 20 years ago. Not buying the A shares in the 1970s and 1980s when they traded in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars was a huge mistake, with Berkshire at $237,000 and less than 1.5 times its book value in late 2016. A lesser-known stock with a high absolute price – $630 in February – but a reasonable valuation is the well-managed insurer Alleghany (Y). Sector pros and cons Pharmaceutical stocks can be tough to assess because their prospects often hinge on the success of new drugs, which can be hard for most investors to analyze. The formerly hot Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) fell from favor after its main immune-oncology drugs for cancer treatment had disappointing clinical trial results. Health-care companies with less exposure to new drug approvals include Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Abbott Laboratories (ABT), and Medtronic (MDT). They yield 2% to 3%. Try to avoid paying more than 20 times earnings for a drug stock. Dividend plays such as utilities and telecom stocks can be rewarding even without much stock-price appreciation. These stocks go in and out of favor, and some sold off after Donald Trump was elected and investors seemed to expect rising interest rates. (Rising rates make the dividend payouts relatively less attractive.) A broad sector exchange-traded fund such the Utilities Select SPDR (XLU) offers a good way to play electric utilities. Despite their stodgy reputation, most big utilities offer mid-single-digit annual earnings growth – not bad considering their 4% dividends. One important thing to look for before buying telecoms and utilities: dividend coverage, which reflects their ability to continue to make payments. Try to find stocks whose dividends aren’t more than 60% or 70% of earnings. Consumer stocks, after a long run, also sold off following the Trump election, but have since come back. Big, well-known companies like Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble (PG), were yielding 3% or more in late 2016 and traded for about 20 times forward earnings. That’s not particularly cheap, but think of them like bonds with increasing dividends. A final rule for picking stocks? Patience. It can take time for the market to come around to your thesis. Trading in and out of shares is rarely a formula for success.

Now I haven't played Ero Hunters yet, but since the Krita files for the puppets are out there now, I lowkey want to do concept drawings for outfits like I am with Ero Dungeons...

EroD x Choicer Voicer Judges Test
I wasn't going to make a set of judges because the Guild facility portraits don't have full bodies but figured I try it anyway. Rescaling the barracks maid made her look really tiny. Either that or she has a really large head.
