watched #boarders last 3 eps and the whole show again and yup femi best character he was so cute smiling waving while they was doing the pic thing when he was drunk 😂 last ep! and yes he’s the best character felt bad for Jaheim in last ep and Omar when he wanted to switch places
bc he didn’t wanna stand next to the woman and they didn’t allow but other then that they pmo so much again oh the wya I could rant about everything they did that pmo but I’m not gonna bc it just gets my bl00d boiling #boardersbbc Femi best character Toby Leah Abby 2nd best core4
need all of them to stay away from the yt people other Mabel and yelena I’m so serious especially Abby (bc them girls ain’t sh$t but jealous little ho*es and very racist) Omar (need Omar away from that racist who hate crimed him bullied all szn six feet under) and Femi sh*t guys
also how was that racist in the school let alone still sharing a room with Omar after everything yeah the whole show pmo like I can’t do this need s2 for them to get their sh*t together all of them #boarders and stay away from the yt people like I’m not kidding their lives would
All be so much better and they would be thriving but nah they stay doing sh*t are we sure they are smart SMART and not just gifted in arts languages and engineering bc I aint see a single smart thing they do once just dvmb decisions that blow back on their faces every single time
considering it all Femi really the only sensible one who kept checking them even when he was drunk he was trying to stop toby Jaheim from jumping each other and reminding Jaheim it’s not all about him in calm way before Toby went overboard (Toby only mistake all szn) #boarders
should make an edit showing how yall are so fake and the femi hate is forced bc not a single person in that show didn’t sh*t as bad or worse! It’s really giving anti black or yall femi irl wanna join the hate train so bad so you bandwagon hating 😂 like say one thing he did that
was worse then anything all of them except Toby/Leah did ?😂 you can’t anti African* I mean bc that’s the only difference between them and they aren’t held accountable for their sh*t like he is 😂 anyways he stay being most compelling complex characters yall force hate all u want
need s2 like now tho! But glad it’s taking some time because I need to calm down

Week 9 Digital Citizenship and Software literacy: Instagram Filters
Hey guys, welcome back to another weekly tumblr post!! Today we are going to discuss the Implications of social media filters towards individuals.
Tumblr media
Let’s be honest, filters on social media platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok are super fun to use. Not only can it make your skin smoother, but it can also change your eye or face shape, turn your face into a literal cat or any other animal you name it. These filters can also offer users a boost in confidence, by hiding or diminishing scars, pimples, making their nose, lips, chins larger or smaller making users feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Making users feel detached from their authentic faces, which can lead to online harassment and plastic surgery (Barker, 2020). Some users also uses these filters as a fun way to connect and communicate with friends and family or to entertain their audience. I am very sure that we all have used it at least once, whether it is to have fun, look better or just to try it out. We also probably have friends or someone we know that uses filters too often that it changes the way they actually look online compared to real life.
Tumblr media
Although filters can be seen as a form of expression and creativity, the existent of filters have made people think about their ability to change themself and challenge the ideal beauty that is promoted (Barker, 2020). This is supported by Paxton et al., (2022), stating that exposure to the glorified appearance of an individual on social media might negatively impact body image. These filters often promote unrealistic beauty standards including having perfect skin, tiny nose, big eyes which are often unnatural. This can lead to body dysmorphia, low self-esteem and anxiety, making users rely on filters whenever they communicate or share pictures with other individuals. Therefore, filters can be entertaining and fun, but they also come with serious implications that affect how we see ourselves and others.
Tumblr media
I know this sounds insane but believe it or not, there are a few individuals out there who are obsessed with filters and try to make their face look exactly the same as their selfies through cosmetic surgeries. This is considered as “snapchat dysmorphia” where patients wants to undergo cosmetic surgery just to replicate altered and filtered versions of themselves. For example, a 26-year-old single mum, Crystal, did cosmetic surgery on her nose and under her eyes to look more like her selfies (Davies, 2018).
Tumblr media
So, while filters can be fun and entertaining, they also influence how we see ourselves and others in ways that aren’t healthy. Hence, we can enjoy them, but it is important to stay mindful of the reality behind the screen. And hey, if you know someone that is using filters a little too often… maybe remind them gently.

I have a problem with "We have not been forced to maintain subsistence pescatarian diets as a class or status divider from our meat-eating overlords" because yeah, we aren't forced that exact diet by those exact means, but aren't we forced to highly unhealthy diets by means of food deserts, price gouging etc etc. late stage capitalism makes us believe we are free while it fences our paths and demands a toll while also not paying enough for said toll
and the "nor have we been beheaded and used as grave goods." might I remind you all of the purse made from a child's spine(https://www.businessinsider.com/arnold-putra-instagram-fashion-star-bag-human-spine-2020-4) , the witch that stole poor black people's bones to sell(https://www.dailydot.com/unclick/boneghazi-tumblr-witch-arrested-human-bones/) , the rich guys that use poor young people's plasma/blood to try to keep themselves young(https://www.bbc.com/bbcthree/article/347828f8-6e7f-4a9b-92ab-95f637a9dc2e) , so while this specific thing isn't common practice our bodies aren't sacred in late stage capitalism
girl help they're putting "modern people under capitalism work more than medieval peasants" posts on my dash again

'Loads of drama' in Dannii's dating show I Kissed A Girl

'Loads of drama' in Dannii's dating show I Kissed A Girl
Tumblr media
We’ve finally got a big update on Dannii Minogue’s new lesbian dating series I Kissed A Girl.
The upcoming show is a sapphic spinoff of last year’s gay male dating series I Kissed A Boy. The British production was a success for the BBC and by reality TV standards, was surprisingly good.
Next month, the women will get a go. The BBC has confirmed I Kissed A Girl will finally premiere in the UK on May 5.
Joining host Dannii is lesbian TikTok comedian Charley Marlowe on voiceover duties.
In I Kissed A Girl, ten single queer women in a gorgeous Italian villa are matched into pairs and go straight in for a kiss without saying a word.
‘The queerest thing I’ve ever seen’
Charley Marlowe declared the show “the queerest thing I’ve ever seen” with “mass amounts of snogging” and “loads of drama”.
“God, they all barely get a word in between all the smooching,” she teased.
“You can expect to see normal queer girls. Not queer girls who are sexualised, fetishised or romanticised.
“Of course, there’s loads of drama and it’s SUCH an unreal watch! But it’s fantastic to see queer girls being themselves without constraints.”
Hi…my name is Cupid and this year I’m aiming more love arrows in Italy… this time for the girls 👭💘 #IKissedAGirl, coming soon to @BBCThree and @BBCiPlayer #ValentinesDay #RealityTV @bbcthree #love pic.twitter.com/27I2WMdWD8
— Dannii Minogue (@DanniiMinogue) February 14, 2024
She added, “We would record a couple of episodes at a time so I was drip-fed the drama
“Each week I was absolutely gasping for the next one, the cliffhangers are brilliant.
“As much as we love it when everyone gets along, an argument is always going to hook us in. Which is exactly what this series does.
“Shock revelations, mass amounts of snogging – which made me realise I’m more of a prude than I thought – and lesbians being lesbians. It’s got it all.”
But most importantly, Charley confirmed Dannii Minogue “put her everything into her looks this series.”
“The girls were obsessed, and so was I,” she said.
“I am the biggest fan. Dannii and Kylie have created such a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community and everyone adores them for it. They are both absolute icons.”
I Kissed A Girl will start on BBC’s iPlayer on May 5, which means Aussies can expect it to arrive on streaming over here months later.
I Kissed A Boy is streaming in Australia on 10 Play and Paramount+.
