What sort of creature would you expect to find in Ottery St Mary?
Otters, right?
Wrong.
BEARS!
... and yes of course I'm now imagining this as a continuation of the Ottery St Mary episode of Cabin Pressure.
Just after they drop off the piano they turn a corner and:
BEARS! BEARS, BROWN BEARS, ON THE GROUND! (of all places!)
For some reason at some point a bear would end up wearing Martin's hat (of course Martin has his hat with him for this. He's the CAPTAIN. And after all, they did end up taking the piano on Gerti. Obviously he needed his hat for that).
Arthur would be SO excited, and possibly suggest they should rename the town to Beary St Mary (and would be thrilled by the rhyme)
Martin would make that funny noise in his throat and/or have to be convinced not to go and retrieve his hat from the bear.
Douglas would make lots of wise cracks about Captain Winnie the Pooh, and after it was all over would still speak wistfully of "the old skipper" - much to Martin's annoyance.
... Obviously none of this would really happen in an episode because John Finnemore would write something subtler, cleverer and funnier. But STILL. You see my vision.

Masterlist of entries
Wowie 3k! I’m as shook as you believe me but I want to thank everyone for following me. I came to this fandom 2 years ago and it started off as a sideblog with some questionable writing and now I’m here with my still questionable writing but I’ve loved every second of it and all the friends I’ve made along the way. This blog has helped my confidence and helped me come out of my shell a lot. I am so grateful for each and every one of you.
Thank you @angelhaz11 for the pretty header and thank you @thinkoutsidethebex for helping me with this idea! I love you both!
Now onto the rules:
This is a follower celebration so it would be cool if you were following me.
2 people allowed per prompt, one prompt per person.
Please tag me in your fic and use the tag #iloveyou3000wc
All the marvel prompts are famous marvel quotes from the marvel universe over the years. The quote cannot be said by the person who originally said it. Example: If using the quote “I am Iron Man.” This cannot be said by Tony Stark in your writing.
However, you can also choose to not include the prompt directly in your fic and use it as inspiration for a theme to your story.
You can write for any character or actor from the marvel universe including Tom Holland & co.
Your fic can be however long you want but if it exceeds 500 words please use the “read more” feature.
No St*rker or Th*rki or any similar ships.
Smut is allowed but all characters should be 18+
Please use warnings for smut or any triggers
Deadline is the 31st of July but if you need more time let me know.
If you want to join send me an ask with which prompt you would like and who you will be writing for.
Most of all, have fun!
I can’t wait to read all your entries!

#9DayNovenatoOurLadyofMtCarmel🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
#SecondDay
Every year on July 16th is such a joyous occasion for all Carmelites throughout the world because we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, patroness of the Carmelite Order!
Pray with us as we joyfully prepare for this wonderful feast of our Lady.
And we pray in a special way for our sisters preparing to make their finals vows.
Each day we will meditate on one of the most beautiful prayers ever written, the Flos Carmeli (Latin for “Flower of Carmel”).
Tradition tells of St. Simon Stock praying with a passionate intensity to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel during a time of great distress and hardship for the Order.
With fervor and faith, he prayed the Flos Carmeli prayer which he wrote, and Our Lady answered that prayer.
Thus, for seven centuries the Flos Carmeli continues to be prayed to the Blessed Mother with the firm faith that she will answer its request with her powerful help.
[The Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel
(prayed by the Carmelite Sisters)]
O most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, splendor of heaven,
Blessed Mother of the Son of God and Mother of mine,
support me by your never failing love and help and protect me.
Show me that you are my Mother.
May I, unworthy as I am, come one day to exchange your scapular
that I had the privilege to wear for the wedding garment of heaven,
and dwell with you and all the saints of Carmel
in the kingdom of your Son.
(Here make your petition:
Let us also pray for those preparing to make their vows.)
Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your loving hands.
O Mary, my Mother, I consecrate myself to you forever.
I offer you my body with all its miseries,
my soul with all its imperfections,
and my heart with all its affections and desires.
I offer you all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings, my struggles
and especially my death with all that it will entail.
I unite all of these, Mother, with your own joys and sufferings. Amen.
Queen and Beauty of Carmel, pray for us.
Flos Carmeli, vitis florigera,
splendor caeli, virgo puerpera singularis.
Mater mitis sed viri nescia
Carmelitis esto propitia stella maris.
Radix Jesse germinans flosculum nos ad esse
tecum in saeculum patiaris.
Inter spinas quae crescis lilium
serva puras mentes fragilium tutelaris.
Armatura fortis pugnantium furunt bella
tende praesidium scapularis.
Per incerta prudens consilium
per adversa juge solatium largiaris.
Mater dulcis Carmeli domina,
plebem tuam reple laetitia qua bearis.
Paradisi clavis et janua,
fac nos duci quo, Mater, gloria coronaris.
Amen.
