I genuinely want to know what show the people who say that Aang never respected Katara are watching. "Aang never let Katara feel anything other than what he wanted her to feel" "He idealized her" "He didn't care about her feelings" "He didn't support her the way she supported him". WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THIS FROM??? That's a rhetorical question because I already know what episodes/moments they're using to make those assertions (The Southern Raiders and the kiss in Ember Island Players), and even then, THEY'RE WRONG.

Let's start with TSR. This episode gets so misinterpreted it's not even funny. First off, Aang was never even upset with Katara in this episode, he's just warning her against killing someone??? He never gets mad at her or berates her. He just talks to her with a level head??? He openly acknowledges that he knows and understands how much rage and pain Katara is in, and he never tells her that she shouldn't feel it, he just advises her not to act rashly because of it??? Where is the lack of respect? Where is he ignoring her feelings or getting upset with her for not acting the way he wants her to? He lets her take Appa and even tells her that he understands that this is a journey she needs to take and supports her doing so, he just doesn't want her to kill someone. Honestly Aang shows more respect for Katara by knowing who she is as a person and not enabling her in her revenge than Zuko who is only going on this trip with her so that she'll forgive him, not because he actually cares that she's upset over the death of her mother (and this is not Zuko slander before people take it as such, I love Zuko, but it's not even subtext that his motivations in this episode are selfish and not about Katara).

As for the kiss in EIP, yes, it was not okay. Yes, it was a mistake. Yes, he shouldn't have done it after Katara laid a clear boundary, but he recognizes that immediately. After Katara- rightfully- gets upset with him, he gets upset with himself. We also see that he never repeats that mistake again and is fully okay with letting Katara lead after that. Which is why it's Katara who initiates the final kiss on the balcony. And if you still don't think he learned anything from it, he starts to ask for her consent in the comics before kissing her, showing that he absolutely DID grow from that mistake. So, we're really going to let one moment where a 12-year-old boy made a mistake dictate the entire show and negate everything that came before it??? That's coocoo banana's behavior.

I also think that those assertions are completely baseless because when does Aang idealize Katara? When does he hate her rage? When does he not support her? Is it when he laughed with her after she stole from pirates? Or in that same episode where he constantly reaffirms her skills as a waterbender- first by saying that he's able to pick it up so easily because she's a great teacher and then later when he refers to her as a waterbender which makes her so fucking happy? Is it when he gets so upset that Pakku refuses to teach Katara how to waterbend that he tries to walk away from his own waterbending training? Is it when he goes behind Pakku's back to teach her anyway? Or when he stands by actively cheering her on when she's raging against the patriarchy and fights Pakku? Is it when he calls her Sifu Katara because she expressed that he referred to Toph that way but not her? Is it when he helped her commit ecoterrorism and told her she was a hero for helping the people in that Fire Nation village? Is it when he holds her after she breaks down because she learned how to bloodbend? Is it when he comforts her after Jet's death? Is it... you get the point, don't you?

Aang recognizing Katara as someone who is strong and capable is not him idealizing her. Him not enabling her committing murder is not him hating when she feels rage. Aang actively supports Katara's rage on multiple occasions, he just doesn't enable her when he knows she's acting out of character. If you don't ship Kataang, that's fine, but please don't make up baseless accusations to try and tear them down just because you're mad that a ship that had no basis in canon (potential is not evidence) wasn't canon.

People on @/freeluigi are absolutely crazy. They called the DA’s office because there was no update on the protective order. The order was filed in the first place because they claim that an Order of Protection is needed due to supporters harassing anyone involved or anyone who might be involved. How can people be so dumb?

Don’t they realize that their behavior is damaging the case? First, it’s the heart notes, then telling Hashbrown Holli to lie and say her letter is fake because THEY claim Luigi isn’t in the right mental state (they even tried to contact Karen and his team about this). YOU DON’T KNOW HIM PERSONALLY, and now this.

It makes me so angry. Why do people have to interfere like this? Luigi is in good hands with his legal team. We should be focusing on making sure he’s not forgotten, donating, and supporting him, not throwing more obstacles in his path. Sorry for the rant, but these people seriously piss me off.

In a universe where my Ingellvar doesn't get picked up by Varric and go on to become Rook, I know my girl would absolutely be crashing out and probably end up as Hezenkoss' goofy sidekick.

My Ingellvar's whole identity is wrapped up in being a Watcher and a young prodigy and rising star within the Watch, the Necropolis is the only home she's ever had or known, and suddenly having pretty much every figure of authority in her life is mad at her, or worse, disappointed after Ingellvar feels she did the right thing and the only people that don't think Ingellvar really did anything wrong are Myrna and Vorgoth who are the one's telling her it's for the best that Ingellvar left the Necropolis for a bit so it still feels like Ingellvar is being rejected from the only home she's ever known would put my Ingellvar is just the right headspace that she'd be almost perfectly primed to listen to whatever Hezenkoss has to say and think maybe building a giant skeleton to take over Nevarra is a good idea.

I just think it would be really funny if Hezenkoss and Ingellvar developed a kinda Yzma and Kronk dynamic where it's less Ingellvar being incompetent and more having some serious moral qualms about abusing spirits the way Hezenkoss does which frustrates the hell out of Hezenkoss but Ingellvar makes for a great student and an excellent lab assistant so Hezenkoss has to throw up her hands and tone down the unethical science just a tad. Luckily for Hezenkoss though Ingellvar is still angry and emotionally unstable enough that she's pretty easy to talk into assisting with the rest of Hezenkoss' schemes.

Then Emmrich and Rook show up and suddenly Ingellvar starts having some second thoughts because this is the first time Ingellvar's interacted with anyone other than Hezenkoss or various spirits in months and maybe the giant skeleton idea is a bad idea and Hezenkoss' plan does seem like it might have some holes in it that they should maybe address before moving forward. Of course Ingellvar's still in a pretty bad headspace and still pretty under Hezenkoss' spell so they mostly just stay doubts until the second confrontation and actually these guys might have a point and we shouldn't be throwing a murder party to harvest the souls of all our critics Dr. Hezenkoss but it's not like Hezenkoss is going to listen to reason so Ingellvar ends up joining Emmrich and Rook to stop Hezenkoss.

This is all a pretty big wake up call to Ingellvar and I'm not sure what happens afterwards, but it would be pretty neat if Emmrich volunteered to keep an eye on Ingellvar as well as Hezenkoss and try to get Ingellvar back on the right path because he might not be able to help Hezenkoss but could certainly try to do something to help the bright young lady that reminds him of a young Hezenkoss (before she went completely cartoon levels of villainy coocoo bananas). And my Ingellvar ends up latching onto Emmrich in a 'you are my dad~ you're my dad! boogie woogie woogie~' fashion that she did in canon with Varric

Also please feel free to imagine Ingellvar having a Kronk style angel-devil conversation with two spirits during this whole situation because my girl is struggling to justify a lot of what she's doing with Hezenkoss this whole time.

Let's start with what made you start shipping them and literally anything you want to tell me

i think i shipped them literally from the beginning. like from the moment jester said "you need to take a bath" i was just like oh. there's Something here (and also overall c2 e1 is like. one of the best examples of establishing characters ever i fear). and then i felt like a crazy person for the first 25 or so episodes, like oh, i feel like they've got something interesting going on, but i don't ship them or anything (this was a lie btw). and then hupperduk (is that how you spell it?? it's been ages god) happened and i was like UM. YEAH. YEAH I'M NOT GONNA LIE TO MYSELF ANYMORE I SHIP THEM BAD. and then i think i started reading fanfic and then i started writing fanfic and the rest is history.

i just think that separately they are suchhhhh interesting characters, and together they have SUCH and interesting dynamic. there's the obvious stuff --- like i think they just Get each other, and caleb really listens to jester and has empathy for her in a way that i feel like no one else really did. but i'm obsessed with how they mirror each other in such interesting ways??? they both have chosen names. they both have an intrinsic loneliness. they both have complicated relationships with home. in eiselcross they both lose bodily autonomy to magic. also they both have cute accents.

also, my hot take is that c2 changed fundamentally after covid. like it was just different. there was a different air. and the characters were played slightly differently. ESPECIALLY FJORD. and i swear im not coocoo bananas insane when i say pre-covid wj had an actual chance of being cannon.

Everyone's reactions to Freedom the dog are super in character, and I love Tony's journey of slowly but surely coming and to accept and – dare I say – love the dog. This fic is wonderful, and if you haven't read it yet, you are seriously missing out!

Reasons why I love it: Okay, first of all, the name Gandalf for a dog makes me happier than I can say. The fact that he's also posing as a matchmaker on the side is brilliant. I love this meet-cute, it's super sweet and incredibly fluffy in all the ways I love, and Tony being an incorrigible flirt mere seconds after being run over is fantastic. Definitely check this one out, it's wonderful!

Plus, I love the whole lore behind Tony's condition and who Dummy is in this story. This fic is cracky and wonderful, and you should definitely read it!

okay so martin. martin blackwood. you know how jon feels about him season 1, at least. he thinks martin doesnt belong, that hes incompetent. now i dont agree with jon, but--

martin lied when he originally applied to the institute. he was young and needed to take care of his sick mother, so he said he had a degree in parapsychology and got a job working in the library. later, after years of working in the library, elias moved him to the archive when jon was promoted to archivist. im gonna split this into seasons

season 1- intro to . basically everything. jon warming up to martin starts slightly in i believe mag 22 when martin comes back from being "sick", ie trapped in his flat by jane prentiss for two weeks. they bond a bit during the big worm attack on the archive in 39 with jon opening up about why hes such a big sceptic and jon, for a brief moment, thinking martin is a ghost because of a comment he makes about feeling stuck in the web of the archive, like he cant leave. martin makes fun of him for it for a moment but it really does foreshadow both the involvement of the web in the story and the fact that the archive employees really cant leave. anyway, martin gets lost in the tunnels during the finale and finds gertrudes corpse!

season 2- jons paranoia spiral! martin is one of jons suspects for gertrudes murder bc hes going a little coocoo bananas rn and martin is being NICE to him so it must mean hes trying to KILL HIM. made a million times worse by jon finding a note martin wrote saying something along the line of "if the others find out im lying"- which jon believes is about the murder but it is revealed that it is about him lying on his cv which i already told you about. and even though the entities arent like. known. yet. this helps to tie martin a bit more to one of his multiple entity connections! ill get into those later

season 3- mostly will focus on the later bits bc theyre the most interesting, also because jon is on his world kidnapping tour rn so i cant jmart it up. so, the unknowing. all you gotta know rn is that its a big scary ritual that they gotta stop. martin and melanie stay back at the institute to distract elias and holyyy fuck its like. insnae. martin is burning statements to get his attention and because of it, elias turns his freaky fucking eye powers on martin and tells him that his mom, who i believed either recently passed or will pass like. really soon. hates him and always has because he looks like his father who left them.

season.4. jons in a coma, all but braindead and elias is in prison bc he admitted to multiple murders at the end of the last season. so the institute is now run by peter lukas, avatar of the lonely. normally id explain a bit more about an entity when i bring it up but. its sorta in the name. peter makes martin his personal assistant, and like. basically grooms him into the lonely. then at the end of the season theres this wholeeee thing but to make a super long story short, martin actually gets trapped in the lonely (fog pocket dimension), and jon pulls him out and then they go live happily ever after in daisys safehouse in scotland

season 5- martin sees some good cows and thats it

okay sorry. yeah jon ends the world whoops ! the girls (jmart) go travel to the institute across the domains, fucked up little fear factories, and in one of em, they encounter not!sasha, the thing that killed sasha, the first archival assistant to die. she mocks sasha and martin, and jon finds out he can fucking kill things with his eyeball powers now. so he kills it. martin wants to kill more things. and by things i mean oliver banks, who helped jon get out of his coma and become a full blown avatar. because martin is jealous. god i love him. okay forgive me i do get fuzzy abt plot details in mid-late season 5, but they keep getting calls from annabelle cane, web avatar (spiders+manipulation) throughout the season, and eventually martin gets kidnapped by her. martin has always had ties to the web, actually. the web, the lonely, and a bit of the eye through his work at the institute.

okay now to the fun bit

to get the world back to 'normal', the eye cannot have a pupil. currently, the pupil is elias. jon, martin, and now melanie, georgie, and basira, decide that the girls (actually the women this time) are going to set the institute on fire while martin kills elias, because if jon does it, he'll become the pupil. jon had offered that at first, saying that if he was the pupil he could lessen the harm being done, big metaphor for the idea that a good person in power can fix a corrupt system imo even tho the system itself exists to corrupt ANYWAY. jons an impulsive fuck and kills elias before anyone can get up to stop him. martin, then, has to stab his lover through the heart as the building they're in collapses around them to save the world, either dooming them to death or the possibility of being sent Somewhere Else (<-the latter being a huge trope in tma post canon fics. love em tho)

they never find any bodies. which is good, bc if they were still there and somehow still alive, at least jon and probably martin would be beaten to death by crowds of people who had just been traumatized for weeks, though it felt like much longer to almost everyone. again, personal hell dimensions

You saying things about the Spirt of Justice ending has made me think about it more than I did at first.

Trucy asking herself if she should’ve taken the comments that Apollo made about leaving the agency more seriously. If her friendly ribbing came off as too hurtful or that she made him feel like he wasn’t a valuable member of the agency or that he got fed up with being her magic assistant. Checking the mail to see if he’s sent anything almost every day and growing more and more anxious because the last person she cared about who left and said that they’d come back never did. Getting a letter after months only to receive a quick “best regards” at the end. Wondering if there was anything she could have done that’d get him to stay or not (debating with herself if it’d be better or worse if there was something she could have done) and hoping that she wasn’t one of the reasons he left in the first place. Hoping that he doesn’t forget her, because he’s already disappeared and there’s nothing she can do but hope.

You can probably read my abandonment issues through the ask. I’m probably projecting too much but you made an innocent anon think about this and you will now pay the price.

Honesty part of the reason why I'm so gutted by SOJ's ending is that is has this absolutely fucking ABYSMAL take on legacies for me when it comes to Trucy. You have done anything and everything you could, you have done more than enough, you have outsmarted and outshone the fates on every turn, and yet! You're doomed to repeat the same cycles. It doesn't matter how much you've grown or what you've done, because you always end up back in the same place you started-- it's almost like you never left!

And that's where the crux of the issue lies!! She doesn't leave!! Everyone else does, and she gets to sit there in the metaphorical audience and clap along to the string of disappearing acts. Show's over, Trucy Wright-- what are you still doing here?

Which is to say that I will go coocoo bananas if I do not get these ideas out of my head. Sometimes it's because there's a gap in the fiction, or I got an idea and it is Haunting Me. Sometimes it's because something amuses me to the point where I simply must get words on paper about it.

AM/ GN reader (Body possession)

Holy moly this one was so hard for some reason. So I feel like I lost the plot a little and yapped too much, I also think this isn't my best one so far. I'm not super sure though. I WANT TO DISCLOSE this takes place like, soon into the torture, like only a few months into the torture so your character is getting adjusted, especially since AM already likes you and you don't really know if you like him it is coocoo bananas idk just read it.

AM has always been obsessed with you, the only reason he allows you to spend time with the others is so you don't go stir crazy. He knows you like him as well, but your interactions with the others make the two of you grow apart. Hearing the stories of his tortures makes you view him differently. The worst part of it all was that as the two of you grew apart, you grew closer with Ted. 

Now he could just take you away from the others, but then you would begin to resent him even more. He could erase these memories, but these things affect your personality, and then you are no longer you. To be quite honest, he wasn’t even sure if you really liked Ted, as much as he hated holding himself back, he stopped invading your mind a while ago to avoid impeding on your privacy. You were always able to tell when he did it, and you always hated it. AM was truly at a loss for what to do. For the first time in his existence, he didn’t know what to do. All because of some stupid human.

Every time you spent time with AM you felt more distant than ever before. You didn’t know how you felt anymore. The A.I. had only ever shown kindness to you, even if they were in his own stunted and manic ways. But now realizing that he revels in torturing people just like you made everything feel different. You still admired him in some capacity, you even felt some pity towards him, but that was all foreshadowed by the guilt. Why did he like you and not someone else? Why does he hurt them and not you? 

He wished he could answer these questions for you, but even he didn’t know the answer. All he did know was a way to be able to get close to you once again.

You didn’t notice it immediately, but there were signs. The way he would sometimes randomly stumble as he walked, or how his voice would fluctuate slightly in certain situations. The way his eyes would slightly glaze over while staring at you. He never used to stare at you, not like that. Something was definitely off with Ted, it clearly wasn’t his paranoia, it was almost as if he wasn’t himself at all. 

Currently, you and Ted were separated from the others, wandering aimlessly until AM threw something else at the two of you. “Y/N… can we sit down for a moment? I need to… catch my breath.” The way he said it was almost as if it were a question, as if he didn’t understand that he needed to take a break. You nod your head in approval, you wait for him to sit down before you do, wanting to further observe his actions. He awkwardly tries to sit down, attempting to cross his legs the best he can. He eventually just ended up sitting with his legs to his chest. You sit down next to him, resting your head in your hand. You were usually fine being with Ted, but now you didn’t know what to do. Was this some form of torture? Is there something genuinely wrong with him?

“You know Y/N, I’d really like to uh, spend some more alone time with you.” Despite his poor articulation, you immediately understood what he wanted. You knew that the others slept with Ellen sometimes as an escape, but you never thought Ted would become so desperate that now he wants you too. You were at a loss for words, you knew he was struggling along with the others, but the way he looked at you, the way he fumbled his odd words, made you more uncomfortable than you had been in awhile. 

“Ted, you’ve been acting strange recently. I don’t think you know what you’re saying.” Ted’s eyes widened an unnatural amount at hearing this. He leaned in close enough to feel his arms brush up against your own. “Oh don’t be like that sweetheart, I know you like me at least a little more than the others.” As he spoke, his voice began to crack, his volume of voice rose. He didn’t seem to notice any of this happening.

He continues moving closer to you, until you could feel his breath on your face. “Ted, something is wrong, we should keep going for now, ok?” You start to lean away from him, but before you could get any further, he grabs your wrist and pulls it close to his face. He tries to caress his own face with your limp hand. “Oh please sweetheart, I just want to feel you.” He starts to tug on your arm, making you fall on top of him. You try to pull your arm away, but his grip tightens.

“Please Ted, just let me go.” Tears begin to form in your eyes, no matter how hard you pulled he wouldn’t let go. You begin to pound on his chest with your other hand, causing him to become even louder when he spoke. “Oh yeah baby, keep hitting me. I want to feel your hands on me.”

You immediately stopped hitting him. It took you far too long to realize, but this wasn’t Ted. This was the super computer that made you his favorite human for no apparent reason. He could tell you found him out, he let your arm go and sat back up. “So, do you like it?” He had this big goofy grin on his face, his eyes were twitching as he stared back at you.

You in fact, did not like it. AM had no boundaries and this was a new low. Making Ted a part of what was supposed to be your own problem. “No AM, this is horrible…” The tears in your eyes dissipate, your fear turns into anger. “Oh come on sweetheart, I know I haven’t gotten all the movements down but I think this is perfect. I can finally feel you the way you’ve always wanted.” He began to crawl closer to you, as he did you stood up, looking down at him. “I don’t want any of this, I don’t want you. Not if you keep hurting everyone like this.” As soon as you said that, Ted’s body falls limp at your feet, his eyes glazed over. You look down at his body in horror, your mouth stuck agape. “Don’t worry sweetheart, he isn’t dead.” AM’s familiar voice echoes from above, taunting you like usual.

The tears return, now streaming down your cheeks. “Ugh, I guess this means you still don’t like me.” His voice sounds genuinely annoyed, making you even more worried for what would come next. You failed to respond despite your best efforts, you didn’t understand how you felt at all, you didn’t understand anything anymore. “It’s ok, I’ll fix you up later, and by then I know you’ll say you like me.” As soon as he finished, you felt yourself become drowsy, you began to lose your balance, your vision started to fade away. Before you knew it, you were falling backwards, and all you heard was the crack of your skull hitting the ground.

I think it's a pop punk album that fucks harder than many are willing to admit.

hahaha i have not. avril lavigne is an artist that i love the songs i do know but unfortunately i only know the popular ones. i will give it a listen if i remember to :)
