Once upon a time, a little over a year ago, from the mind of one Conor Duffy and the Fate TTRPG system came a tale about Jean Valjean, Queen Titania, Morgan le Fay, Alice, and Christine Daae being called on to stop a thief from stealing the very power of storytelling, while having to escape Chateau Dif, defeat the Sweet Witch, and persuade the First Goddess along the way. Now in anticipation of its upcoming sequel charity stream, we gather the cast and producers to discuss what inspired the portrayals of these various characters, the nature of storytelling itself, and what makes certain stories stick with us.

Remember when I said I was cooking a Really self indulgent au?
Here it is! In which Ace picks up a different shipwrecked masked aspiring adventure-novelist on Sixis :)

Spade Pirates’ First Mate Sabo AU
Except Sabo and Ace both don’t realize it’s each other because Sabo still has amnesia and Ace can’t recognize Sabo after 7 years because of the mask
This came from the writing prompt someone gave me of Sabo and Deuce interaction and once I got thinking about them I was like. There’s too many parallels. And couldn’t stop thinking about it
In this AU Sabo doesn’t get saved by Dragon, washes up onshore on Goa before he dies, and survives to set sail again a week or so later, but still has amnesia. Realizing that sailing alone as a ten year old is pretty unfeasible though, he stops sailing after the first few islands and lives as a feral forest child on his own for the next seven years until he feels ready and strong enough to try again.
He chooses his own name, Tage (pronounced taj), based on the assumption that Sabo is his last name and his belongings are too ruined to read his given name :) credit to whery for the name pun idea it’s absolutely genius
I might do some short comics for this if I ever get around to it but for now it’s just a loose collection of ideas!

fun fact: in the phantom of the opera (1925), the name "the phantom of the opera" is never spoken. this is because it's a silent film

Looking through my Erik art, I don’t think he’s old and ugly, or old and ugly enough… Which is funny, because I get anons from time to time who definitely think he is! So, I’m curious as to what people think.
What’s the verdict guys? We all know he’s not exactly Prince Charming though!
That aside, I have decided to make it my mission to make this man 10x more old and bedraggled. You’ll see soon, once I have new glasses that is.

I saw a picture of christine from poto and mozart from amadeus and it said something along the lines of: when a man in a mask tries to manipulate you by pretending to be your dead father, and after thinking it through, it fits for both so hard. Both Christine and Mozart are gifted when it comes to music, had a teacher(erik/leopold), they both fall in love with someone who helps them(raoul/constance), both erik and salieri have a fascination and love the other, christine and mozart both mourn the loss of their fathers.. amadeus poto style when

Filing an Emotional Distress Claim Against Jonathan Roxmouth for:
The way he sings/acts "is THIS what you wanted to see?" during the unmasking. Why is it so unique and convincing??
That reptilian neck movement in the graveyard. He is a poisonous snake. He will BITE you, Raoul!
That looooooong pause in the final lair before he whispers "you try my patience."
(3a) Sometimes a well-placed pause is more powerful than a yell--especially in a musical like POTO where everything is meticulously paced and most of the audience probably thinks they know what to expect. I thought I knew!! Turns out I did not, JRox.
His hands. I'm bringing a claim against JRox's hands alone. They just kept...doing things that made me want to cry and/or die like (see points 6, 7, 8, and 9):
Touching Christine's face in PONR.
Wrapping his fingers around the apple like that.
The flickofthewrist during the title song.
Reaching for Christine during the ring return as if this is an Earl Carpenter throwback, I am GUTTED.
The whole first lair. The whole thing.
Resting his cheek against Christine's head during the embrace between kisses like he's being soothed/mothered.
The general thoughtfulness of his interpretation. Props to him for maturing into this role the way he has, it's all so assured now! He really "gets" it, but I'm just emotionally damaged by it.
I issue a public apology for my completely private judgments of you JRox. But you will still be served papers.

Monster Month continues with Sam Marchiony's birthday wish for us to discuss the 1989 adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera, starring Robert Englund, and unfairly considered to be an attempt to make a Nightmare on Elm Street style Phantom, which is likely why it didn't get the credit it deserves. Join Jas, Sam, and Callie as we relish the slasher, dark academic, Labyrinth-ian vibes of this Phantom adaptation... and please, remember, if you're dealing with a murderer who only lives through his music, make sure you burn all the copies.

I know damn well in my very soul he would have been fist fighting a literal 10-year-old in the toy aisle back in 2012 to get Operetta's core release if he knew what Monster High was.

Hide your face, so the world will never find you
My attribution to the Jayvik nation: Masquerade!
Piltover's high society calls for a masquerade gala, and Viktor goes without Jayce knowing. With his disability hidden in plain sight, he becomes the talk of the party, loving the attention and socialization as nobody knows him and won't judge him for his appearance, only his personality and say.
Jayce is captivated by this new patron, he can't figure out who it is but he truly wishes to know this gorgeous ethereal being. His heart skips a beat when the stranger locks eyes with him, much like when Viktor catches him staring in the lab. But Viktor is unattainable, and this patron is an absolute beauty.
Further into the night, Jayce tries to talk to this patron, but he never hears his voice, like the stranger just won't talk to him? He is a bit hurt by it, but it does seem like the interest he shows for the man is reciprocated, so he won't give up just yet.
