I realized I forgot Illumina in my previous hc abt what animals I think the Swords are so here it is and then some

Illumina is a dove to me. Mostly to tie in with their appearance and also how doves deliver good news. I think of Illumina as a messenger angle type thing because they were close to their creator, Telemonster.

Sword is a sparrow. They're a small songbird who are prey for many different types of animals, which leans into Venomshank's overprotective nature

Dom's a fruit bat and Valk's a Merlin. Flipside being parallels to each other is very important to me. Fruit bats are big animals who are herbivores and Merlin's are a smaller type of falcon who are carnivores. Family dinner goes hard

Ban hammer's a spider. I hc him as gender fluid and I like to use the sexual dimorphism in spiders to show that. Usually female spiders are bigger, but Banhammer presents more masculine. Also giving him multiple arms is fun.

You’re balancing on the edge of a curb, slowly putting one foot in front of the other with your hands out to your sides. Someone calls out a name you don’t recognize, but you look over anyways. 

You hop off of the curb, and walk over to the person speaking. Her perfume is strong and distinctly floral.

As you get closer, and you’re about to reach out to hold her hand, she sidesteps into a shadow, disappearing entirely.

You walk towards where you saw her last, but she appears again, just as far away as she was when she called.

You approach again. She steps into the shade again.

For what feels to you like it might be hours, you continue this little dance of yours.

Eventually, you get frustrated. 

You think for a moment, and then realize something. If there are no shadows to run to, then she will not be able to disappear. So you start turning on lights.

By the time you’re done, it’s blinding. She can’t run, but now, you can’t see her in the first place.

You wake up.

When Beatdrop wakes up, for a moment their legs still feel like they’re moving—like when you’re trying to sleep and you feel like your falling. It stops eventually when they’re tuned back into reality.

They don’t turn their light on. They just stare into the darkness, curled up in their sleeping bad.

Beatdrop’s never liked the scent of flowers. They’ve always preferred seafoam.

I feel like a Sword can never truly die, but their soul is trapped in their gear forever as like a punishment for getting yourself killed. Linked Sword in Sword's ear telling them to stab that guy 27 times in the chest (The guy is Rocket)
