Bumpy History - Part 3 (Aitana x Reader)
And here you have it. Little bit of a shorter part but I builds up nicely to the final part which will be out later this week!
The next morning, you and Aitana arrived at the training ground early. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm, golden hue over the field. The rest of your teammates were slowly trickling in, chatting and stretching as they prepared for the day's training session. You and Aitana had been messaging a little the previous evening about what you were going to do today so you couldn’t help but exchange a mischievous glance with the midfielder as Jona explained the drill. The smirk you received in return let you know Aitana was thinking the same thing, it was time to surprise your teammates.
They drill started off as simple back and forth ground passes in a small area to move around, the two of you knocked the ball back and forth to each other effortlessly catching the eye of some of your teammates already. As you moved around the crowded area, your movements were synchronised and you always knew where each other would be, like you could read each other’s minds. You chanced a glance up at some of your teammates around you and caught Pina with her mouth wide open staring at the two of you as her ball zipped past her foot.
Jona called time on the drill, but you and your new passing partner had other ideas, instead of following the rest of the girls for a drinks break, you two decided to start pinging the ball back and forth in the air. "Nice one, partner!" you exclaimed, sending the ball back to her with a dink in the air. Aitana deftly controlled the ball with her chest and volleyed it back to you. "You're not too bad yourself," she replied with a wink.
All your teammates were baffled by the change, it was strange to see you two even work together let alone getting alone so well. They had never seen Aitana interact like this with anyone, let alone with someone she had seemingly avoided for so long. The fact that you were both laughing and joking during training left them in a state of pure shock.
As training continued, you and Aitana kept up the playful banter. You pulled off a fancy flick pass, and Aitana pretended to be utterly impressed, clapping her hands dramatically as she ran passed you onto the end of the ball you just flicked. Your teammates were now openly staring at you both.
At the end of the training session, Jona approached the two of you as you grabbed a drink and giggled about the shock you had caused. "You two seem to be having fun out there," he remarked with a raised eyebrow.
Aitana and you exchanged knowing glances before breaking into grins. "Just trying to keep things interesting, coach," you replied.
Jona chuckled and nodded. "Well, keep it up. It's good to see you both working well together. It makes my life easier when two of my best players are on the same wavelength." You both exchanged as little glance before grinning at the man who patted you both on the shoulder as he walked away.
As you packed up your stuff in the changing room, you couldn't help but giggle at the still shocked expressions on your teammates' faces. You and Aitana weren’t even trying to shock them anymore, neither of you speaking as you put your boots away, but they were all still watching you and mumbling to one another. You took no notice and said your goodbyes as you went to walk out the room, Aitana hot on your heals.
With every passing day, it felt like you and Aitana were breaking down the barriers between you, building not just a partnership on the field but a genuine friendship off of it. And the shocked reactions from your teammates? Well, that was just a bonus.
The game you had just finished had been a tense one, it took your team a while to find their feet but you had managed to get the job done thanks to a beautiful goal from Aitana. As you headed back in through the tunnel and into the locker room, it was quickly filled with a mix of jubilation and exhaustion as your teammates celebrated the hard-fought win. You quickly showered and changed into more comfortable clothes, knowing that you needed to head home soon.
As you exited the locker room, kit bag slung over your shoulder, you were surprised to see Aitana waiting in the hallway. She looked slightly nervous, fidgeting with her phone and glancing your way every so often. You approached her with a smile. "Hey, Aitana. Great game today, thank god for you. We needed that wondergoal today their defence was just so frustrating to try and break down."
Aitana's eyes lit up as she saw you approaching, something you weren’t sure you were actually seeing or imagining. "Yeah, it was a team effort though couldn’t have scored without the amazing ball through. You played really well too, Y/n."
You blushed, the compliment catching you off guard. "Thank you. But as you said, it was a team effort."
Aitana cleared her throat, her nervousness returning. "Listen, I was wondering if, I mean would you like to grab a coffee or something? Only, if you're not too busy that is." She stuttered her way though the question which you couldn’t tell her but you found incredibly endearing.
You were a little taken aback though by the invitation. It was the first time Aitana had made such an effort to spend time with you outside of football. "Coffee sounds great," you replied with a warm smile. "I'm not busy at all."
Aitana visibly relaxed, relieved that you had accepted her offer. "Awesome! There's a café not far from here. We can walk there if you're up for it." You agreed, and together you made your way to the café. The walk was filled with easy conversation, a far cry from the tension that had once defined your interactions.
The café had a cosy atmosphere, and you both settled into a corner booth with your coffee orders. As you sipped your drinks and chatted, you noticed that Aitana seemed more open and relaxed than you'd ever seen her before. It was a pleasant surprise, and you realized that perhaps the walls that once stopped any positive interaction between you two were finally coming down. The conversation flowed and neither of you spoke more than the other, there was equal back and forth and everything was easy to speak about. You had just calmed down from the giggle fit Aitana had sent you in after she told you about her mishap in the kitchen a couple days prior, when she excused herself to use the bathroom.
This gave you a few minutes to think about what was happening and to you it felt like the start of something new and exciting, a real genuine connection and possible friendship with the Spanish midfielder was blooming in your eyes and it had been a long time coming really.
After your coffee date, you both left the café with smiles on your faces. Aitana walked you back to your car, and as you said your goodbyes, she hesitated for a moment. "Y/n, I had a really great time today," she said, looking into your eyes with a warm sincerity. "I hope we can do this again sometime."
You nodded, your heart feeling lighter than it had in a long time. "I'd love that, Aitana. Let's make it a regular thing." With a grin and a brief hug goodbye, you both went your separate ways, looking forward to more coffee dates and exploring the growing connection between the two of you.

Oh man can't wait for this to have ramifications later. Buddy is having Doubts in front of god, the media, and Jonas Spahr
(I mean Jonas also avoided the issue in their chat afterwards which is very funny and telling in its own right but still, if you are in front of your boss who is Watching and you can't say you believe in the company, when the whole production is that kind of circus, this IS going to spell a bumpy road of some sort and I have my popcorn ready. Let's go, floundering second fiddle man)
#(god being rhetorical in this case as no mythology is yet established)#also like truly jonas looked at all this and went 'the issue is you lack showmanship' lmao#'you might consider acquiring some rizz'#midst#s1e3#ariadne reads midst#op#midst podcast

Beach Day
“Beach, yay, beach, yay, beach!” That was the seventh time Jonas had sung his little song. Enjar chuckled, glancing at Anna, who looked kind of annoyed. “Beach, yay, beach, yay, beach!” The little boy said again. “Jonas, honey, why don’t we come up with a different song now, huh?” Jonas looked offended, “But mammaaaa, I like this one! We’re going to the beach!” He wiggled in his seat, excitedly as they neared the final stretch of the road. “Hey, Jonas. Look at this.” Enjar glanced around, grinning, before speeding over the bumpy dirt road. Jonas squealed in delight as the bumps made the entire car vibrate violently. Anna gripped the door beside her, glaring at her brother who cackled evilly.
The car pulled up to a clearing, everyone getting out. Anna grabbed her stuff from the back of the Land Cruiser and joining Enjar, who was wrangling the child. Jonas was screaming with excitement, eyes lit up with joy and life. Enjar felt warm inside looking at the boy as he put him down, watching him run off like a windup toy the second his feet touched the ground. “Mama, beach, beach, beach! We’re at the beach!” Anna smiled as she shouldered her bag, Jonas grabbing her hand and dragging her in the direction of the stairs leading to the sand. “Come ooooon.” He groaned, grunting as he pulled on her arm. Enjar laughed, sliding his surfboard off the top of the car. “Come on, you’re both so slooooooow” Jonas whined. Enjar laughed again, walking towards the stairs. “Okay, Jonas. Let’s go.”
They walked down the many steps to the beach, Jonas speeding off into the sand and screaming with happiness, his bright red swimsuit soon a spec as they looked at him run. Anna sighed, a mix of tired, exasperated and loving. “I love him, but God… I need a break.” Enjar grinned. “Let me take care of him, you go… sunbathe or whatever.” Anna playfully punched his arm, before rolling her eyes and walking off, sunbathing actually sounded like a good idea.
Enjar walked over to Jonas, who was squatting down on the sand, looking at something, enthralled. “What did you find?” Enjar asked, looking down at the spot. “Crab.” Jonas pointed at the small crab, scuttling away from them. “Wow, look at him go!” Enjar remarked as the crab disappeared into the waves. Jonas giggled, watching the crab disappear into the waves. “Wanna go swim?” Enjar looked down at Jonas, who suddenly grew concerned, shaking his head. “What’s wrong? You’ve wanted to go swimming all morning.” Glancing out at the rippling waves, and humming. “Ahhh, I see. Scarier up close huh?” Jonas nodded again, taking Enjar’s hand in his own. Enjar zipped up his wetsuit properly, placing his board on the sand and tying back his hair, before grabbing the boy’s hand again. “How about we just take a little step in?”
Jonas stood glued to the ground, eyeing the waves nervously. “Just one step, so the waves touch your feet.” Enjar encouraged, watching Jonas think it over seriously. After a few seconds of thinking, Enjar and Jonas took a step together, into the water. Slowly, step by step, they ended up knee deep in the waves, at least by Jonas’ perspective, and he had had enough. “No more!” He cried out, looking at the waves curl over and crash towards him. He grabbed onto Enjar’s waist, hugging it close. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you.” Enjar picked up Jonas, carrying him into waist deep water and then squatting so that their shoulders were just peeking out of the water. He felt Jonas’ unsure feet rest on his thighs, toes crunched up as he tensed up in fear.
Jonas looked nervous, clinging to Enjar’s chest. “It’s too deep!” He cried out, looking at Enjar with wide, scared eyes, his breaths quickening in panic. “Hey, hey…” Enjar murmured, soothing the boy. “I’ve got you. Nothing’s gonna happen.” He held Jonas close, letting him float in the water, feeling the rapidly beating heart inside his nephew begin to slow as he rubbed the boy’s back. “See? You’re fine.” He smiled at Jonas who giggled, kicking his feet a little. Slowly inching further out, half of Enjar’s chest was now submerged, and they began to jump in the slowly rising waves.
~~
Jonas soon forgot his fear, squealing and kicking as they jumped the waves together. As a slightly bigger one began to rear up from the water, Enjar was forced to turn away and take the brunt of the hit, shielding his nephew. He grunted as the water hit him hard in the back, making Jonas laugh. They continued to play, swimming closer and closer to shore, until Jonas wiggled out from Enjar’s grip, swimming his own way back to land. The lighthouse keeper watched him carefully, making sure he got back to the sand safely, before taking the opportunity to grab his board.
Jonas watched him curiously as Enjar began to paddle out. The waves weren’t great today, but decent enough for him to maybe catch a couple. Once he was out far enough, he waved at Jonas, who waved back, waiting with anticipation. Enjar watched the waves, looking for his opening, finding it and taking off, managing to ride the wave for a good amount of time, before he fell off into the sea. He could hear Jonas laughing from the shore as he paddled back in, walking over to the boy and grinning. “That was so cool!” Jonas looked up at Enjar in awe. “Wanna try?” Enjar asked, looking at him with a glint in his eye.
Jonas jumped up and down, nodding. Enjar glanced over at Anna, asleep in the sand, the books she had been reading collapsed against her chest. Enjar nodded, putting the board in the water and setting Jonas on it, walking him out into waist deep water. Jonas gripped each side of the board, “It’s wobbly.” He pointed out. Enjar nodded, “I know. Just relax your body and it won’t wobble as much. I’ve got you.”
He took Jonas through the motions, teaching him all the basics of surfing, before finally letting him stand on the board. He gave it a little push, letting it drift in the gentle waves. Jonas, as Enjar expected, drifted for a little bit and then fell off. He stuck his head out of the water, coughing a little and rubbing his stinging eyes. “You okay?” Enjar asked, hoisting him onto the board to sit, his voice tinged with concern. Jonas nodded, wiping his eyes and smiling. “That’s so fun! Can we do it again?” Enjar nodded, repeating the process a few times, until Jonas slid off the board and into the water. “I’m tired, Uncle Enjar. Can we go back to mummy?” Enjar nodded, pulling the board closer to his body and made his way through the water, back to shore.
Jonas had already woken Anna up, excitedly jumping up and down and telling her all about his surfing lesson. Anna smiled tiredly, “That’s amazing, sweetheart. You’ll have to show me some more later.”
Jonas grinned, the same way Enjar did, and it struck her how similar he was to his uncle, that same wicked grin, same mischievous gleam in his eye. Anna pulled her son into a hug, kissing his forehead. “I love you Jonas.” Jonas nodded, kissing her forehead back. “I love you too Mummy.” He glanced at Enjar, who had just sat down next to Anna. The small boy walked over to his uncle, leaning forward and kissing him on the forehead too. “And I love you, Uncle Enjar.” Enjar smiled softly, pulling his nephew close and ruffling his hair and kissing his cheek. “I love you too, Jonas.”
Anna had pulled out some plastic containers, full of fruits, cheese, sandwiches and cake. Anna served her son some of the food, tucking the cake container away from sight whilst he ate the other food. Enjar picked at the fruit too, until Anna sighed, handing him a lid as a plate. “Use that.” She rolled her eyes, looking at Enjar grin. It really was like Jonas’, however his was a slightly wonkier smile, the scar on the left side of his face preventing him from pulling his lips in that direction as much. She liked it though, even though the scar didn’t affect his smile too much, the slightly lopsided smile was endearing, and it was still the same wicked smile he’d had his whole life, now just with a little extra flare.
It was funny, she couldn’t even remember what his smile was like before, his face, his arms… It was like he’d always been this way. But she wouldn’t change her brother for the world. Watching him play with her son, smiling and laughing, happy and alive was all she could ask for. The scars had changed him… but deep down, she had grown to love them. They made Enjar who he was, in a way. Not that she had wanted him to be so badly injured in the first place, but a tiny part of her was glad they had forced him to retire, to change careers and live in the lighthouse. He was safe now, alive, able to watch his nephew grow up… The job that gave him his scars, it had nearly killed him, and Anna had a feeling that if he’d continued, it would’ve. But he didn’t, and now Jonas could have a positive role model, a father figure in his life. Someone to step up to the plate, where her ex-husband, Jonas’ father had failed, and Enjar had done just that. He and Jonas had a special connection, and she knew Jonas thought the world of Enjar, and that Enjar would give Jonas the world if he could.
Returning her thoughts the food, Anna watched as Jonas and Enjar played with the food, having a sword fight with carrot sticks. Her son had nearly finished his food. “Jonas, when you’re finished, I have cake.” Jonas stopped, looking at his mother with glee. He shoved the rest of his food in his mouth and crunched fast, swallowing and reaching out his hand. “I’m finished!” Enjar chuckled, finishing his food too, both of them looking expectantly at Anna. She laughed, taking a slow bite of an apple slice. “You two can wait until I finish then.” She began to eat her food in slow motion, Jonas groaning in annoyance. “Mamaaaaaaa.” He whined. “You said I could have cake when I finished my food. Not your food!” He crossed his arms indignantly, looking very cross for a 5 year old.
Anna rolled her eyes, “Okay… I guess I can give you yours.” She handed her boys a slice of cake each, and watched them as they bit into them with glee. Enjar’s eyes widened. “Damn, this is good! You made this?” Anna nodded, watching as her brother wolfed down the food. “Yeah, chocolate pumpkin cake. It’s become a favourite of Jonas’. It’s the only way I can get him to eat pumpkin.” Jonas nodded with glee, already licking the chocolate icing off his tiny fingers, smears of it stretched over his chin. Anna reached into her bag, pulling out a cloth and wiping his hand down, before grabbing her own slice of cake and eating it. “Uncle Enjar, can we go and surf again? I wanna show Mama!” Enjar nodded, easing out of the sand and dusting off his legs. “Sure, let’s go!” Grabbing his board, he raced his nephew to the water, Anna watching carefully as her brother gently guided her son to stand on the massive board. It made him look so small, as he balanced with his arms stretched wide.
Enjar gave it a little push, letting the waves carry it as Jonas balanced carefully. Then, it tilted, and Jonas crashed into the water. Anna cheered from the shore as Jonas’ head popped up to the surface and he waved, coming ashore and running up to her, panting from the effort. His big blue eyes were gleaming as he swelled with pride. “Did you see me surf, mummy?” Anna nodded, “You did so well, my darling.” Seeing movement over Jonas’ shoulder she gasped. “Look!” Pointing out into the sea, they watched as Enjar readied himself to ride a wave.
~~
Watching Jonas go back to shore, Enjar decided to see if he could catch some waves a little further out. He began to paddle, watching the water as he got further and further out. Finally, he turned, gaining momentum as he felt the rush of adrenaline flow through him, the wave catching his board and propelling him over the water. He felt the thrill of the ride as he moved, eventually turning the board toward shore and drifting back. When he was almost there, he leaned over, collapsing into the water with a splash, his feet digging into the sand and pushing him forwards. When he got to shore, his nephew was gazing at him with a new found awe. “That was so cool!” The young boy exclaimed, “You were going so fast and then you changed and then you came back to us and-and… wow…” He breathed.
“Pretty cool huh?” Enjar panted, smiling down at Jonas. “Yeah….” Jonas looked Enjar up and down, taking in his body in a new light. It amazed the young boy that his uncle could do that, moving his body to control the board like that… He wanted to be just like him when he grew up. “I wanna swim more.” He looked at his mother, hoping she would come with them. “Do you want me to come too?” She asked, shutting her book and standing up. “Why not?”
All three of them approached the ocean, the waves now a little bigger. Jonas waded in first, followed by his uncle and finally Anna. She shrieked, tensing up, causing Enjar to whirl around, slightly worried. “It’s so cold!” She squealed, Enjar wading over and sliding an arm over her shoulders. “Come on, it’s not that bad.” Jonas was watching them curiously, but Anna braced as she felt Enjar lean against her more. “No, no! Enjar stop!” She laughed, shoving him off her. She shivered in the cold water, wading a little further in. Jonas splashed some water in her direction, and she smirked. “Oh, are we playing that game are we?” She splashed some water at him, laughing as they closed their eyes, splashing and squealing. Jonas opened his eyes again, for just a second, watching as Enjar snuck up behind Anna, crash tackling her from behind and pulling her into the water. Anna screamed, surfacing quickly and looking for her brother, who’s head popped up a few feet away from her. He’d already put distance between himself and his sister’s rage.
“You little-” She yelled, splashing Enjar who splashed her back. Soon all three of them were attacking each other, splashing water. Enjar began dragging Jonas around. He lifted the child in the air and tossed him into the water, again and again, Jonas squealing as he hit the water, until Enjar was too tired to do it any more.
~~
As they drove back to Enjar’s cabin, Anna glanced behind them at the back seat, Jonas was asleep, tired from his long day. They all were, it had been so fun, but so tiring. When they pulled up, Enjar mumbled that he’d grab Jonas, gently picking up his nephew and cradling in his arms. He was so perfect, sleeping and peaceful in his arms. Enjar smiled down at him, at that moment, he knew he’d do anything for this kid. He would protect him with his entire being, this small person was so special to him, so precious…
Carrying him inside, he walked to the sofa nearby, cradling the small, sleeping boy on his lap and holding him close. He stretched his legs along the length of the sofa, his back leaning against the armrest as he slid down, now using it as a pillow. Before he even noticed it, Enjar’s head was nodding, his heavy eyelids sliding shut…
Anna walked through the door, carrying the last of the stuff. “Where do you want this bag En?” She asked, waiting for a reply. Her brother didn’t say anything, so she looked up, frowning. “En?” A soft smile crept across her lips when she saw her brother slumped across the sofa, Jonas curled up against him. He’d really saved her skin today, keeping Jonas occupied while she had had a much needed rest, but she supposed that he was probably just as tired now. He didn’t really have a lot of energy for young kids. Jonas’ head was resting on Enjar’s chest, which gently rose and fell, one of Enjar’s scarred arms wrapped gently around his nephew’s body, holding him close. It was cute, watching them together, and it never ceased to surprise Anna how alike they looked. But right now, her boys were sleeping peacefully, and that’s all she could ask for. Going to Enjar’s room, she found a light blanket, laying it over them. Enjar grunted in his sleep, his lip quirking with a slight smile.
In that moment, everything was perfect.

They were all accurate too, 139 if we include all of them! I'll forever be amazed at how underrated she is! I feel like the partnership on the pitch between alexia and herself has developed rapidly too which is great news! I also am enjoying their budding new friendship🤭
I think it's been such a shame that with Alexia's injury her and Keira hadn't been able to form a partnership on the pitch until now. Think Jona has been experimenting with it finally. They still need more time but seems to be going well after a bumpy start.
Yeah Keira is underrated but mostly by fans and media. Managers and fellow players all rate her highly. It's also cuz of her position. It's such a silent space the DM. But if you know football, you know how incredible she is.

"You know what I mean." He waved a hand. "I just mean I'm doing this to help you." It was fair to not like the wording, even if offering to be utilized meant something similar to offering to be his soundboard. He'd keep it in mind next time. He settled in instead to listen to Jonas when he was ready.
The initial concern he had was that--- Jonas seemed to immediately jump to dodging the subject, and went to bartending, addressing him again. Even the bits after seemed unrelated too, focused more on others, despite him promising it was connected. But he'd mentioned an accident at culinary school, and this had little to nothing to do with that; that fact became more clear the more he spoke. Maybe he wasn't as ready to share as he said?
Ah....Hm. Actually, this was.... Familiar.
Jonas was talking, but it had been like--being Alice in the rabbit holes, this whole time. It seemed like he had a low attention span, where he bounced around his subjects with the barest thread to connect them, before yo-yoing back to the original point and then veering off again. It was fine, mostly. He had friends who did the same, and he himself had his own web of thoughts, so following a jumpy bumpy train of thought was manageable, even if he had to take a moment to play catch up once in a while. But here, they were reaching something, and he gained a fraction of an understanding, a glimpse into why this might hang heavy enough to want to talk.
But...how could he? Fuck man. He knew that feeling to his bones, how helpless it was. How did you talk about something you didn't even know?
Something, it seemed, played as a trigger and Jonah began to scatter. He'd heard all of it, of the missing time, and-- he couldn't help but remember things. Especially when he got close to mentioning the accident and this was the result.
That was most familiar of all, disappearing the moment something key was mentioned. He almost expected Jonas' eyes to take on a shade of heartbreakingly sky blue, for his gaze to lose focus and his jaw to slacken and tears to run down his cheeks. He almost expected him to sit there until he finally snapped back to life, confused and trying to understand how he'd gotten where he was, the last few minutes utterly lost.
And while all of that had been his own memories---the last look now was on Jonah's face, as he haltingly clambered his way to the end of his sentence. His eyes seemed to flicker about, expression almost blank. He could feel the confusion, a sensation he knew far too well, with a dull thud in his chest.
"Jonah...?" He asked, his voice thin and delicate as a thread. "Are you....okay? Do-- do you want to take a break?"
" Aheh...Honestly I forget uhm which was which?" Jonas mumbled, giving Artair a quick dismissive wave. " Also. Ugh. 'Used' c'mon? I've met plenty of tools, save that kind of talk for the garage. " The distaste on his face repeating the word 'used' was pretty obvious.
He shifted himself around again, folding his leg up on the bench, crossing his arms over his knee and tapping the tips of his fingers together in a deep and thoughtful silence. Finally he spoke again.
" I mean. Talking about...things. It sounds nice? " he said, frowning again. " 'Do you want to talk about it?' Sure I do! Again, you'd make one hell of a bartender. I've pulled that job a few times you know? Between gigs when work's slow, y'know. It's amazing what drunks will sob and slobber on about in their martini or Fuzzy Navel or whatever and yeah sometimes it's the most trivial shit you can think of like 'I blew forty bucks at the slots now I gotta walk back to the hotel room' or 'The showgirl gave me a fake phone number'...I always would tell customers right up front about that by the way even if the house didn't: don't ask the showgirls for their phone number, cause it's rude as shit. Man...some of the stories the girls told too ughhh. They don't get paid nearly enough to deal with the creeps. Uhh...ok where was I going with this again. Uhm. "
He took a moment to trace back his thought processes and reign in the rambling before continuing, " Anyways. Bartending. Right. You run into people with genuine problems. Usually they're regulars. So you end up hearing all about their fucked up lives a lot. Usually on repeat 'cause they forget they told you this same story like...five minutes ago. And I guess it's...sad because whatever the story, trivial or messed up it really does bother them. And maybe it bothers you too. To hear it but you gotta be. Professional about things, I guess. "
He paused again. " I'm...not just jerking your chain around in babbling on about this. I swear there's a point I'm getting to," he said in a quieter voice. " I guess you wanna know about the card thing right? Why I asked you to write your name on it? Yeah. " Tappy-tappy-tap went the ends of his fingers against each other.
" I...forget things. Not like 'oh forgot my keys' or anything like that. See...culinary school didn't work out because well. I got in an...an accident? Pretty bad one. Like well...the details, they're all second-hand word of mouth because there's...mmmm. A year? A year and a half? Yeah. " He tapped the side of his temple. " Nothing there! This space for rent or something. So...because of that. I forget things a lot. That's why I asked for your name. "
He gave a little offhand shrug as he pulled the card out again, flicking it back and forth with his finger. " I dunno I'll be lucky enough to run back into you again. But just in case! "
He stopped flicking the card a moment, his brow furrowed in thought. " There was...something else I wanted to say... " he mumbled. " Something to do with...bartending? " He also couldn't quite recall why the two of them were sitting at this bus stop. Obviously waiting for a bus though wasn't it a bit late for that? What time was it anyways?

skam month ► week one - fredag: Favorite Season
Season 3
“I want my life to be real. And even though sometimes it’s totally fucked up, it’s better than it being completely fake and boring. It’s a bit cliche to say, but you never know who’s dead tomorrow. And whether you believe in Allah, or Jesus, or The theory of evolution, or Parallel universes, there’s only one thing we all know for certain. That life is now.”

Adding to that whole Finn characterization thing, the writers also broke with the Skam tradition of the typical narrative structure of the seasons, where at least in one episode, the love interest is in focus. I guess most of you are familiar with this anyways, but i'll try to shortly explain how a Skam season is (typically) structured.
Episodes 1 -3: establish our main and their character traits, the situation they find themselves currently in, their family background, their hobbies etc.; they also hint at potential struggles, which is why a lot of theory making by the fans is happening here; and, of course, they show us who is going to be the love interest.
Episodes 4 - 7: we can see our main struggling with the themes established before, but also some achievements and happy moments (usually the first kiss, or getting together with the LI); there are some up's and downs in the plot and at the end of this bumpy ride, we also have a pretty clear idea what the love interest is like, and we are guessing about their central struggle.
Episode 8, also known as hellweek: Now, our LIs struggle is clearly pointed out, leading to an accumulation of both the main's and the love interest's problems; this is leaving the main as desparate as never before. Gradually tho, they manage their way out of the mess so that...
in Episode 9, the love interest is in focus. In the case of newly established relationships, we see the main dealing and overcoming their own problems, and then fighting for the Love Interest, to get back together with them (the only exeption here is the Hannah/Eva season, which ends with a breakup, but we still learn a lot about Jonas' character and background story in the last two episodes).
Finally, Episode 10 is where all storylines come together, eventual side conflicts are resolved, everyone is happy.
Let's go back to the current season and how Finn is (not) in focus here.
The topics established in the first three episodes can still be considered the main topics of the season, though we all agree they were handled messy and weirdly. And I do think, up to episode three, the season was quite okay.
But episode 4 - 7 do not provide us with a coherent 'up and down' of the Failin relationship, but rather with a messy, incoherent construction of both characters and that love relationship, which also in later scenes seemed underdeveloped. That resulted in almost nobody rooting for them to get together.
Both episode 7 and 8 seemed like hellweek for Mailin (and Zoe), and while Mailin got really tangled up in her own problems, I don't see a central struggle for Finn.
That Mailin is avoiding him? That's HER problem, not his, anyone would have been annoyed by that.
Him feeling like a 'tryout boyfriend' is also not really his problem, but kind of the conclusion of how Mailin has treated him so far.
So again, a reactive characterization.
And now we are at the end of episode 9, and I don't see the drama ending?? And I also don't really see Mailin 'fighting' for Finn, or how the plot takes Finns feelings/struggles into consideration. It is all about Mailin.
And that might be one of the central mistakes that were made during this season. Having it solely revolve around a white, skinny, heterosexual, neurotypical girl, a character who we have seen over and over in the media landscape. Making her BY FAR the most privileged character in the series, by also giving her a high socio-economic status, and then barely reflecting her privileges. And that, while having an extremely diverse friend group around her, whose stories even centered around not having these privileges, being discriminated against and disadvantaged. And on top of that, having these characters doing nothing, but praising her.
With everything happening, the writers and creators of S8 are completely ignoring thoughtfully made casting choices and previously established storylines.
I'm so done with this season, and tired of criticizing it, but especially the last aspect I wanted to point out again, as it bothers me a lot.

It's Complicated
Pairing : frat! Tom Holland x Reader ( College roommate au)
Summary : you are a classic nerd, he is a typical playboy. Both are poles apart staying under the same roof. How much complicated can your relationship get?
Warning : 18+, language, suggestive themes, mentions of sex, mature content, angsty ending?
Mini playlist : Sucker by Nick Jonas and Bumpy Ride by Mohombi.
Three years ago if anyone would have told you that after graduating high school your life was about to get more fucked up than it is already you wouldn't have believed that. Why would you? A valedictorian and class topper who had big dreams in her eyes about her future though for others you were a bookworm, a nerd. But here you are in the last year of your grad school surviving through hoards of assignments and exams on top of that your roommate is the most interesting and despicable character you have ever met in your life. You both were poles apart, you were the unpopular nerd whose existence nobody knew of and he was the golden boy of the class, a womanizer, Tom Holland. You sometimes wonder how did you even manage to spend two years with him under the same roof.
You were sitting on the couch, your glasses hanging on the bridge of your nose as you chewed on to your pencil whilst reading and taking down notes for your upcoming midterms, books scattered everywhere on the coffee table. You heard the door unlock followed by shuffling of feet and feminine giggles. Tom stumbled into the apartment dragging a girl with him. You remember her from the French class she had joined a few days ago. You cringed internally at how easily they fall for his charms.
Tom's hands were roaming all over her body groping her ass as she fumbled with the buttons of his shirt. You cleared your throat loudly to make your presence felt. The girl pulled away from him embarrassed.
"Oh hey Y/N still studying? Give a little rest to your lovely eyes darling." You rolled your eyes.
"We have our midterms coming up Tom and I need to have a good score for my internship, not everyone's father owns a company." You gave a bored look.
"I think I should leave." The girl mumbled.
''It's fine, Y/N doesn't mind do you?
"Yeah whatever I was anyway going to my room." You shrugged with a disinterested look on your face gathering your things and were about to climb the stairs but turned back.
"And just for heaven's sake don't make a mess on the couch I also sit on it."
"You got it..he waved his hand in a salute. “Oh! maybe put on some earplugs tonight love, it's gonna be a long night or if you want you can join us." he says with that ever familiar cocky grin.
"No thanks I'm fine."
You sat on your desk resuming your studies hoping for no more disturbance but you always forget that you were actually living with the devil himself whose sole purpose in life is to give you a living hell experience as he decided to bring the action to his bedroom which was separated from yours by just a thin wall so you had no escape from this daily torment. You tried really hard to concentrate on the words written on the book but all that moaning and loud music was getting on your nerves. You groaned in frustration as you got up and made your way to Tom's room.
"Tom! Tom! Open up!" You yelled banging the door repeatedly.
"Go away Y/N!"
"Open up now!" You demanded. The door unlocked and his head popped out.
"Seriously Y/N! things were just starting to get a little bit fun! oh wait a minute or did you have a change of mind?" he smiled mischievously.
"We need to talk. Can you come out for a minute?" You said sternly.
"Oh sure why not limitations should be discussed first." He came out from behind the door your face turned red seeing him buck ass naked.
"Oh my god! Could you--Could you just cover up please." You turned around covering your eyes flustered. He huffed.
"Okay just a moment." He came out with a bed sheet wrapped around his waist.
"Now I know you haven't been involved in a three way before so let me know about what you like or don’t like and a safe word when you want to stop."
"What! Ew! no! I don't want to do anything like that." you gave a disgusted look to him.
"Then what do you want Y/N? you know I don't like people disturbing me when I'm getting some."
"Tom do I need to remind you about the deal we had? You promised no girls during exam time."
"Sorry love but a man has his own needs."
"Tom, do you want to fail this semester?"
"What for I have you then? C'mon as per our deal you are going to help me with the assignments and pass the exams"
Yes you had made a stupid deal with him. He was from a wealthy family, money for him was like dirt on his hand. As per the deal he would pay 75% of the rent in exchange you would help him with the assignments as well as pass the semesters. Though you had negotiated a little by asking him to pay extra for writing all his assignments. A good way to earn some extra cash you thought but now you regret taking the offer.
"If you want to pass then you have to let me study you dumbass!"
"Tommy!" that girl whined from inside his room.
"Coming baby!"
You quirked your eyebrow questioningly because as far as you recall the last time you called him by that name he took the whole house on his head.
"You have sex with me I'll let you scream that name to your heart's content." he said bluntly.
"Ha! not even in my nightmares"
"Sorry honey I would love to extend this cute little banter of ours but I need to tend to someone else's needs as well as satiate my own needs too. See you in the morning goodnight" Saying that he shut the door on your face.
You raised your hands clawing your fingers, annoyed thinking of choking the life out of his body. You grimaced and stomped off to your room. You knew it was useless to sit with the books because nothing is going to get registered in your brain. You slammed the books shut fuming from inside and went to bed. Though it was a futile attempt because the loud music combined with all the dirty talk and incoherent moaning did not let you sleep. Sometimes you really regret the decision of making the spare room downstairs a store room. It was smaller than your room but at least you could have got a good night's sleep.
You were now lying on your bed wide awake wondering how did you even end up here, with him. You were never very particularly fond of him. You vividly remember the first time when you guys met how cocky and unapologetic he was which he is still now.
You were walking out of the library with a pile of books in your hand. The books were quite heavy and at what goddamn moment you thought to let your hair down that day you don't know which just added to your misery. Your hair was unruly and sticking to your face as you tried to balance the books as well as brush off your hair. You couldn't see much due to the huge pile in your hand and you bumped into someone as you heard.
"What the fuck!" All the books fell from your hands scattering on the floor. You quickly bent down to pick them up.
"Girl I think you really need a new pair of glasses." The other boys with him laughed.
You lifted your head frowning to have a look at the person who instead of helping you was passing comments like that and your eyes met his soft honey brown eyes looking down at you with a smug face which made your blood boil. You gathered everything and adjusted your glasses on the bridge of your nose standing up.
"And I think you need to learn some manners." You shot back directly looking into his eyes and strutted past him.
"Damn!" Harrison and the other guys teased Tom.
"Feisty, I like it." He ticked his jaw. "Is she invited to our frat's freshers party?" He asked with a cocky grin, eyeing you from top to bottom as you stride away across the corridor.
"Tom, she's a nerd, not even your type."
"Then it's time to extend my horizons boys. I want her at the party." He ordered.
****
You really had no idea what were you doing at such a party, that too a frat party. But your best friend Susie was adamant to take you with her citing the reason that you need to have some fun in life before you read out your life plus she needed someone to take her home after she gets drunk. You were standing near the drinks counter looking around.
"What's a cute little nerd like you doing in a place like this?" Tom remarked his voice smooth with a cocky undertone while resting his elbow on the counter facing you. You scoffed.
"That's all you got? Some stupid cheesy one liners."
"I got way more than that darling. You see all those girls out there craving to be the lucky one tonight but tonight darling I'm giving you the chance."
"But have I ever said that I want you?" You pretended to think for a while then answered yourself.
"Nope! I don't remember saying anything like that."
"So cheers!" You raised a shot glass and gulped it down.
"Nice party by the way." You patted his shoulder and went away. You didn't see him for a week after that night. But it was actually the calm before the storm.
It was a fine day your roommate and senior Cassandra was leaving after her graduation. You were roommates for a year and you guys had bonded really well. After bidding a tearful goodbye to her you were waiting for the arrival of your new roommate. The doorbell rang and you eagerly went and opened the door your landlord greeted you.
'Y/N how are you?"
"I'm fine Mr Jones."
"Meet your new roommate." A shock went through your face as you saw none other than Tom fucking Holland.
"Hi darling." He said in his thick British accent with that ever familiar cocky grin plastered on his face.
"You guys know each other?" Mr Jones asked.
"Quite well" he smirked. You were still at a loss of words
"Great then my work is done Y/N will help you settle down."
And that is where it all started. First two months were torture for you. You were a sloth bear and he was a party animal. Coming home drunk with girls late at night was a regular thing for him. Loud music, sexual innuendos, non stop flirting he had managed to get on each and every nerve of yours. But one day you decided that you had enough of this and if you two needed to stay under the same roof you both had to have a mutual understanding to make things work. So you came up with the three golden rules of your roommate pact
One - equal share of household chores.
Two - during exams no party, no bringing home friends.
Three - no funny business.
The first two were already broken as here you are in the morning picking up all his clothes he scattered around the house to put them for laundry followed by cleaning the house and then making breakfast for both of you. As if you were his good dutiful wife. You don't know why you care for him so much. Being with him has rubbed you off a little too you swear a lot more than you used to and also have become a little bit of aggressive in nature but it had it perks too. You were now friends with the other frat guys so they were always there to help you in case of any problem arises on or off campus. You really don't know what relationship you have with Tom because if you were to describe it was too complicated. You were neither friends nor enemies just two polar opposites stuck together.
You were busy in the kitchen flipping the pancakes on the pan as you felt two familiar hands creep around your waist.
"Good morning love." Tom said with a groggy voice placing his chin on your shoulder. You didn't reply.
"Giving the silent treatment again, eh?" you still did not reply. He let go of you as he leaned his back on the counter facing you. He was shirtless hair all messy, a few scratch marks over his body with a very prominent hickey on his neck. His sweatpants hung low down his waist giving quite a scenic view of his v line.
"Okay I'm sorry no more shagging during exam time I promise." You handed him his cup of tea without saying a word and took the cooked pancakes to the table.
"You seriously make the best tea in the world you know." he complimented.
"That's enough buttering for today Thomas."
"You think I'm lying?" he exhaled, placing his hand on his chest pretending to be offended.
"Wear something" you threw him his shirt lying around the couch.
He put it on and turned on the music on the speakers.
We go together Better than birds of a feather, you and me We change the weather, yeah I'm feeling heat in December when you're 'round me
You quirked your eyebrow gnawing your lower lip looking at him skeptically as he swayed a little to the music.
“What are you doing?”
“That we always do.”
I've been dancing on top of cars and stumbling out of bars I follow you through the dark, can't get enough You're the medicine and the pain, the tattoo inside my brain And, baby, you know it's obvious
He waltzed around the kitchen stumbling upon the chairs making you giggle.
“C’mon dance with me grandma.”
“We will be late for our classes Tom.” you reminded him.
I'm a sucker for you You say the word and I'll go anywhere blindly I'm a sucker for you, yeah Any road you take, you know that you'll find me
You worked around the kitchen as he followed you. You turned around bumping into him, you huffed and went past him pushing him aside.
I'm a sucker for all the subliminal things No one knows about you (about you) about you (about you) And you're making the typical me break my typical rules It's true, I'm a sucker for you, yeah
You two used to randomly break out into dancing and doing silly things around the house. It had kind of become a routine plus one of Tom’s tactics to make you smile when you were so done with him.
He wrapped his arms around your waist. You traced your finger along the side of his face then gently slapped his face playfully.
Don't complicate it (yeah) 'Cause I know you and you know everything about me I can't remember All of the nights I don't remember When you're 'round me (oh, yeah yeah)
Never in his life he has ever got attached to any girl other than you. You bring out this fun and soft side of his, deliberately make him break his rules and letting down his guard. And he feels comfortable around you and telling you each and every of his little secrets.
I've been dancing on top of cars and stumbling out of bars I follow you through the dark, can't get enough You're the medicine and the pain, the tattoo inside my brain And, baby, you know it's obvious
He skipped to the beat twirling you around. As you both danced around the apartment.
I'm a sucker for you You say the word and I'll go anywhere blindly I'm a sucker for you, yeah Any road you take, you know that you'll find me
He got up on the sofa and started jumping on it.
"Tom! I just arranged it!" You yelled. But he didn't listen as he threw a pillow at you playfully which you caught whilst he pranced on the couch.
I'm a sucker for all the subliminal things No one knows about you (about you) about you (about you) And you're making the typical me break my typical rules It's true, I'm a sucker for you, yeah
He bent down on the backrest of the couch placing his chin in his palm facing you. You rested your chin in your palm standing at the back of the couch. Both of you pouted to each other.
You waltzed to your room climbing up the stairs whistling as Tom followed you.
I've been dancing on top of cars and stumbling out of bars I follow you through the dark, can't get enough You're the medicine and the pain, the tattoo inside my brain And, baby, you know it's obvious I'm a sucker for you You say the word and I'll go anywhere blindly I'm a sucker for you, yeah Any road you take, you know that you'll find me
He took out your feather boa from your closet wrapping around his neck and started dancing seductively you threw your hair brush at him giggling which he caught easily. And got up the bed pretending it to be a microphone he sang as if in a concert. He gave his hand as you held on to it. He pulled you up on the bed and you joined him too pretending to sing and dancing around.
I'm a sucker for all the subliminal things No one knows about you (about you) about you (about you) And you're making the typical me break my typical rules It's true, I'm a sucker for you I'm a sucker for you
You plopped on your bed together his arm wrapped around you as you both laughed uncontrollably.
"okay c'mon get up or we will be late for our classes." You said catching your breath patting on his chest.
******
You weren't that popular. You even doubted that half of the class knew that someone named Y/N even exists in class. But everything changed in your second year all thanks to Tom, suddenly you became the lucky bitch of the class, an eye sore to each and every girl on campus. They believed that they deserved to share a house with him not a nerd like you.
Susie, your best friend for the last two years has been hammering you with the same question repeatedly.
"You live under the same roof with Tom fucking Holland!! How lucky can someone get?!" she exclaimed as you were busy scribbling in your notebook with zero interest in her blabbering.
"Yay! Lucky me!" You said sarcastically.
"No seriously he is so charming, how can you resist that?"
"You don't live with him that's why. That outer sham can work for others not for me"
"Hey honey!" Tom chirped. You gave a dirty look to him, you hated when he called you pet names in public. And he deliberately did that to irk you.
"Sorry, Y/N, as you know today is boy's night so I'm gonna be late."
"You know the rules Holland, after ten stay out of the den." You reminded him.
"C'mon it's boys night." he whined.
"Yeah so you can stay in the frat house. The frat house is quite big isn't it Haz?"
"Yeah man you can stay with us for one night."
"See sorted." You turned your attention back to writing in your notebook.
The boys walked away but before leaving the classroom something mischievous went through Tom's mind as he yelled.
"Honey I'll be late, don't stay up for me!" You gaped at his audacity as he winked blowing you an air kiss and went away chuckling. You felt like sinking under your seat feeling embarrassed as you hid your face behind your palms groaning in frustration.
After reaching home you heaved a sigh of relief and tidied the house again and went to have a shower. The house seemed pretty quiet when Tom was not around and that is why you loved boy's night. You finally got the house to yourself though be it for a couple of hours but it was worth it. You reheated the leftovers from yesterday and finally settled down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn comfortably tucked in your comforter to binge watch on Lucifer and the doorbell rang.
"Oh for God's sake! Can anyone let this poor girl have some alone time peacefully." You groaned and dragged yourself to the door to open it. It was the girl Tom had brought with him last night. You eyed her questioningly.
"Hi I'm Isabelle. Is Tom here?"
"Umm no did he ask you to come?"
"Yeah he said." That's strange you thought because as much as you have come to know him he never ever goes back to the same girl again after he has satisfied his lustful desires.
"Umm okay you wanna wait inside?"
"Sure." You let her in showing her the way to the living room. You both sat down as you pressed the play button and continued watching the episode.
"Popcorn?" You offered her the bowl.
"No thanks."
"So how long have you and Tom been together?"
"Two years."
"You and Tom are pretty close I guess"
"Yeah kind of since we are living together."
"Tom has really kept you wrapped around his finger, you are pretty cool with him bringing other girls in spite of having you."
"What?! Oh no no we don't have anything going on between us." You started to feel really awkward.
"You mean to say you guys didn't do it?! Even for once?" she gave a puzzled look.
"No, never! Why would we? And who told you all this rubbish?"
"Among all other things you are always a hot topic Y/N. Everyone knows you are Tom's girl." You felt offended.
"What?! Okay that's bullshit! I'm no one's to own." you were furious.
"Whatever." she shrugged with a non interested look. You had enough of her bickering.
"Umm excuse me I'll be back.'' You went back to your room closing the door behind you and called Tom. He picked up instantly.
"Hey darling what's up?"
"Where the hell are you?!" You hissed.
"Aww.. already missing me?"
"Shut up! Isabelle is here waiting for you. When are you coming back?!"
"Who Isabelle?"
"The girl you fucked last night Isabelle!"
"Oh! I'm not coming please handle her for me babe." And saying that he ended the call.
"What! Wait! Tom!" You groaned in frustration and went back to the living room.
"I don't think he's gonna come home today. Maybe you should talk to him tomorrow during class." You said apologetically. And to heaven's grace she agreed to you and left. You were relieved but at the same time you were fuming because of how Tom passed the ball to your court to handle his mess.
It was almost midnight as Tom slowly turned in the key of the door and snuck into the apartment tiptoeing back to his room. The lights flickered on as Tom saw you standing near the stairs with your arms crossed a deep frown forming on your face making it obvious that you were angry.
"Oh Y/N you're awake!" He said nervously.
"You fucking son of a bitch!" You charged at him.
"Whoa what's with that mouth?"
"What do you think of me huh? I'm not here to entertain your girls whom you stood up."
"Hey I didn't stood her up, it was a one night thing if she doesn't get it. What can I do?" you were still looking at him with a stern gaze.
"Okay I'm sorry this will be the last time."
"You say that every time!"
"And I'm sorry.” He apologized softly.
“Okay tell me what can I do to make it up to you? Oh! Wait, I have an idea, let's go shopping tomorrow. I think you need to upgrade your lingerie collection anyways. I know a nice store for that."
"Excuse me! Why the hell will I go lingerie shopping with you and what made you think that I need to go in the first place?" you gave an incredulous look.
"Honey I noticed that you have a really bland collection of bras mostly in beige, black and white. You need to up your game girl if you want to get laid."
"What!!" You gawked at him flabbergasted.
"Okay you have a problem going with me. We can order online, 36B right?"
"Okay that's definitely not my size!" You were baffled at his straightforwardness.
"Love look who you're talking to." He sassed.
"I can guess the size correctly with just a glance though in your case I actually saw the size so I'm sure." he shrugged.
"You know there's a word for people like you, 'pervert'."
"Hey we live in the same house and use the same laundry. It's hard not to notice."
"You're unbelievable!" You scoffed
"But you look really cute when you are all flustered." He stepped closer to you caging you against the wall smoldering.
"Thomas you know it very well that your charms don't work here." you narrowed your eyes. twisting your lips.
"And that is why you will always have a special place in my life." He stepped back. For a slight moment the thought went across your mind to ask him about what Isabelle said but you brushed it off feeling tired to start a whole new conversation with him in the middle of the night.
"You know what I really need to go and sleep after all this."
"Mind if I join? I can guarantee you that I'm really good in bed as per the feedback I get." he lips curled to a sly smirk.
"Fuck off!!"
"Goodnight darling.'' He chuckled.
*******
The midterms were over so now you can finally get to relax a bit. You are comfortably sitting on the couch browsing Netflix deciding what to watch tonight.
"Dinner time!" Tom announced entering the apartment showing you the food packets in his hands.
"What do you want now?" you asked nonchalantly.
"You really think so low of me Y/N?
Can't I treat my roomie with a lavish dinner from her favourite restaurant?'' He said placing the food on the coffee table in front of you.
"I know you too well Tom so cut the crap and spit it out."
"Okay as you wish. So we will be organizing this year's Halloween party.''
"You do that every year, What's new in that?"
"No I meant not in the frat house at our house, here."
"What! Nope, I'm not allowing that." You shook your head.
"Why?"
"You'll make a mess of the house.''
"C'mon Y/N this is the last year I know you will not go to frat house so I decided let's have the party here. Pleaaase" he pleaded.
"It's a no, Tom."
“Please Y/N I’ll have the boys do all the work as well as clean the house, there will be no trouble I promise.
“Your promises scare me.” you quipped.
“Pleaaase..” He pouted giving you those puppy eyes. You audibly sighed.
"Okay” you gave in.
"Love you." He beamed with joy like a child and hugged you tightly, practically shaking your body.
“But I will still not be a part of it." you stated pulling away from him.
“But!” He whined.
“You heard me.”
“Okay fine.” He sighed.
*****
The party was about to start in an hour. Tom had called in the boys to set everything and help with the decoration. You surveyed everything for the one last time before you retreat back to your hole for the entire night when Tom appeared in a black button up shirt and jeans. A black cape tied around his neck and fake fangs. You tried hard to stifle your laugh seeing his costume.
"So you're gonna be batman for tonight?" you asked with a sarcastic tone.
"What! I'm not batman!"
"Please don’t ruin the image of vampires for me. Damon and Stefan would put a stake through their heart seeing you." you cackled.
"Yeah yeah, make fun of me as much as you want, at least I don't chicken out from parties." he scoffed.
"You sure, you don't want to join the party?" He asked softly.
"You know me Tom parties aren't my thing. I'm good with my devil on Netflix on Halloween night."
"Hmm.. At least one Tom interests you." He added smiling.
"Tom Ellis is the hottest devil on earth to be honest." You gushed.
"And here we go with the thirsting again." he shook his head smiling. You giggled.
"Why jealous? Wishing it were rather you I was thirsting on?"
"Oooh I don't think I would be satisfied with just your mere thirsting. Maybe you can give me more that" he narrowed his eyes, smoldering.
"Maybe I can kick you in the balls." You narrowed your eyes too.
"Hey I meant that you can give me your blood to drink. I'm a vampire tonight. By the way whatever you thought that would be even better." he winked.
"Haha very funny."
"Okay Count Thomas Holland good luck with your prey. I'm retreating to my den. Happy Halloween!" Saying so you climbed up the stairs back to your room.
You were comfortably sitting on your bed in a cozy sweatshirt and sweatpants, hair thrown into a messy bun. You had your specs on, as you binged watched lucifer. Your throat felt dry after sometime and you reached for the water bottle to your dismay you found it empty. Now you were caught between going or not going out of your room. You finally gathered some courage by giving yourself a pep talk that they're your classmates only and who's gonna notice you anyway everybody will be drunk by now. You stepped out of your room, you noticed the party was on full swing. You walked past some drunken bodies as you saw people making out on the staircase, red solo cups scattered here and there on the floor, the music bellowing with a thumping beat, everyone dressed in the most cryptic costumes you have ever seen. You beelined to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. You took out the water bottle and turned to go back to your room. But Harrison caught you before you could sneak off.
"Hey! Y/N where are you off to? Come on, enjoy the party!"
"Umm Haz I'm not a party person so I better go back to my room."
"Where do you think you are going?" Tom blocked your way.
"Tom you know I don't like going to parties plus I think I'm not appropriately dressed also."
"You look fine! The typical college nerd."
"Ouch." You said offended.
"C'mon girl loosen up a bit this is the last year before we graduate. Have a little fun."
"Yeah have this." Harrison handed you a drink.
"No thanks I'm fine."
"C'mon this is really good, just taste it once." You took a sip and winced at the burning taste of the drink swallowing down the whole drink.
"Mmmm this is good!"
"Told you! Here have another one." You had a few more drinks and soon you were feeling a little tipsy as you started giggling for no reason.
Bumpy ride started playing.....
I wanna boom bang bang with your body yo
Were gonna rough it up before we take it slow
Girl lemme rock you rock you like a rodeo
(It's gonna be a bumpy ride)
"Ohh that's our song!" Tom exclaimed.
"Nope definitely not." You giggled.
"Yes don't you remember I tried to make a move on you and you stepped on my poor heart and walked away while this song was playing in the background."
"I only remember giving you blue balls." You snorted. That night when you rejected him had become a running joke between you.
"Oh! C'mon." He grabbed your wrist and pulled you to the middle of the room in between the crowd. You squealed a little.
I'm gonna pull you over, pull you under Make your body surrender to mine Girl you can make me suffer, do whatever Cause I know you're one of a kind
You swayed to the music holding on to his shoulders, his hands rested upon on your hips.
"This is so inappropriate," you said nervously.
"Am I making you uncomfortable?"
"No it's that all our classmates are here and I'm dancing with you. And everybody knows who you are and how you are with girls."
Tell me who can love you, nobody Hold you, nobody Make your body wind, like me You will never find someone like me Who can love you, nobody Hold you, nobody Make your body wind, like me You will never find someone like me
“But you aren’t any other girl right? My seduction skills never worked on you”
“Yeah right, point! You really look stupid when you do that smoldering thing.”
“As long as I’m getting my dick wet I’m fine.” he smirked.
“Ew!” you made a face making him laugh.
Imma spin you around, push your buttons Buy you plenty of stuff Then i'll take you down, to the bottom Work you all the way to the top
He turned you around your back pressed against his broad chest as he flicked your bun, your hair loosened and cascaded down your shoulders. His hands wrapped around your waist as you continued to sway with him giggling.
Tell me who can love you, nobody Hold you, nobody Make your body wind, like me You will never find someone like me Who can love you, nobody Hold you, nobody Make your body wind, like me You will never find someone like me
He twirled you around a few times, you giggled letting go of his hand and went in between the crowd. You kept dancing and he thought you were the prettiest of all even in just a simple sweatshirt. He loved it when you were carefree, less conscious about people around. Tom noticed some drunk guys hover around you. He frowned quickly going over to you and turned you around holding on to your waist pulling you closer to him. Your hands rested flat on his chest.
“What happened?” you looked at him smiling and confused.
“Nothing” Tom gently took off your glasses and hung it at the front of his shirt. You scrunch your nose in confusion.
On top of my love gain and you're gonna get it tonight I'm focused I'm ready girl I'm gonna give it to you right I' gonna pull you over, pull you under Make your body surrender to mine Girl you can make me suffer, do whatever Cause I know you're one of a kind
"You look more pretty like this." He said brushing your hair out of your face. You gazed at him with droopy eyes. Maybe the drunk you isn’t immune to his charms afterall, because you felt your heart flutter. You loved this side of Tom when he is actually his true self, not the playboy he is known for, less cheesy, less snarky. The lights danced on his face as you took your time to observe him. When did he get so cute? Or was he always this cute but you were too busy ignoring him, you thought. You stared into his soft hazel brown eyes smiling like a fool. His hand went to cradle your cheek lightly brushing your cheekbone. You glanced at each other a little longer as you raised your hand to his face gently brushing his unruly eyebrow with your thumb trying to tame it but you were soon broken off the daze when someone bumped into you both while dancing. You both averted your gaze as you cleared your throat to clear out the tension brewing between you pulling away from each other.
"I need a drink." You said.
"Yeah me too." he cleared his throat.
It was almost past midnight the energy of the party had withered down as slow beats kept playing. Most of the people were lying around totally wasted. Some of you were sulking on the couch drunk and tired.
"Hey let's play 7 minutes in heaven." Jessie suggested
"I'll just watch." you said raising both of your hands.
"C'mon Y/N it's just a game. It will be fun." Jessie encouraged.
"Please Y/N" Susie pouted.
"Okay" you sighed.
A few rounds went by.
"Okay next to whomever the bottle stops is up with none other than our heartthrob Thomas Stanley Holland." Everyone cheered. Jessie spun the bottle and it stopped directing at you. You gave a perplexed look.
"Umm I pass." You blurted out.
"You can't do that Y/N."
"But this is not fair!" you whined.
"Oh come on I thought you said you were immune to my charms or you will not be able to control yourself when all alone with me?" Tom challenged you. You don't know from where this sudden burst of confidence came into you or maybe the alcohol in your system made you accept his challenge.
"You know what Holland I will do. Let's go." You stood up and pulled him by his hand to the store room.
"Oooh I like when girls take control." Tom chuckled following you to the store room.
"Okay 7 Minutes guys we will come back." Jessie locked the door and went away.
You exhaled deeply leaning your back on to an old shelf and took out your phone and scrolled through your Instagram. The room was dimly lit but you were able to see each other clearly. Tom was slouching against an old cupboard facing you. You looked around the room and noticed the room needed cleaning.
" I never got to know about your sex life." Tom broke the silence.
"And you don't have to know"
"Hey nobody's judging you, it's okay to be a virgin."
"What! No I'm not."
"For real?? He asked in disbelief.
"So you are not at all a sweet, innocent nerd after all huh. So how was your first time?"
"I'm not telling you anything, Tom"
"Oh c'mon it's just me and we have seven minutes to waste plus you know everything about me so I should also get to know."
"I never asked you to say anything about your sex life you voluntarily made me aware of it." you snickered.
"Still I really want to know your secret behind your immense control over your sex drive do you even get horny?''
"Why is everytime you open your mouth it's only about sex?"
"You tell me I'll stop." he shrugged.
"Okay…it's-it's nothing of a great story. It was in high school he was my first boyfriend and to be honest it was really bad. I didn't even get to orgasm. That dumbass didn't even know where the clitoris was." You chuckled.
"That's a kind of bummer." He tsked pushing against the cupboard and stepped closer to you.
"Then after that I had two more boyfriends. It was quite an average experience, nothing earth shattering."
"So your love life was quite disappointing." He moved a little more closer, placing his hands on the shelf above your head leaning over you.
"Men have always disappointed me. That's why I find my solace in books because they will never disappoint you.'' you half shrugged gazing into his eyes for the second time in the night.
"Maybe you haven't met the right man yet, love." His hands slid down the shelf, stopping beside your hips. His voice low as he placed a hand on your cheek. Your breath hitched. His hot breath fanning your face. His gaze lowered to your mouth. You had an urge to push away, but couldn’t. Your body felt limp. His head was angled slightly to the side as his lips came closer and closer to yours. You were surprised to find your own lips parted. Your breaths mingled. Your heart fluttered inside your chest. At first, it was a delicate butterfly of a kiss. Then his arms encircled you and he kissed you. You know you're gonna regret this tomorrow once the alcohol wears off but the drunk you always believed you only live once.
And this. This felt true. This felt good. This felt right.
His lips felt so gentle so warm, your hands began to slide up his chest and encircle his neck, as the kiss began to grow heavy. Tom's hand slid off your face and tightened around your waist. You continued kissing him hungrily wanting more. You felt being pushed against the shelf, Tom’s body pressing against yours. The kiss goes on, your lips moving in perfect sync and the kiss becoming more passionate by the second.
There wasn’t a moment of hesitation. He shuddered and there was a sound from the back of his throat, half growl, half moan. Little shivers of pleasure and panic shot through you. You stopped thinking. You pushed off the shelf, sealing the tiny space between you, pressing against him, digging your fingers into his hair. It was soft, silky. Nothing else about him felt that way. You were sparked alive, your heart swelled to the point of near bursting. The rush of sensations crawling across your body was maddening. Scary. Thrilling.
"Time's up! Oh well, well what do we have here?" Jessie barged in. You pushed Tom away startled. Your head was reeling, eyes blown wide as your cheeks started heating up.
"Tom, finally you checked off your wishlist." She smirked.
You glanced at him a smug grin prominent on his face as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. You ran to your room pushing everyone aside as you heard rolls of laughter and giggles behind. You slammed your door shut and collapsed on the floor cursing yourself for being such an idiot. How could you forget that he is Tom fucking Holland? The literal playboy. You ran your fingers through your hair in frustration freaking out about what is to come your way tomorrow at college.
*******
The next day suddenly all the spotlight was on you. The news of last night's incident was everywhere as you woke up to hundreds of notifications on your phone with pictures of you and him all cozy. And this is what you were dreading the most. You could feel everyone's gaze upon you as you walked past the hallway to your class. You clutched onto your books tightly to your chest trying to ignore everyone.
"Did you guys finally do it?" Susie asks excitedly.
“Susie for the love of god can you please stop? My head hurts!” you groaned holding your head.
"Unfortunately no, she hadn't had the pleasure yet.'' Tom dropped in your conversation. You scoffed rolling your eyes.
"Okay girls it's our boy Josh's birthday we are having a party tonight at the frat house and you are invited ." Harrison announced.
“Yeah sure” Susie agreed instantly.
"I'm not coming.'' you bluntly rejected still holding on to your head.
“Darling are you alright?” Tom enquired placing a hand comfortingly on the small of your back. You sized him and turned to Harrison completely ignoring him.
“Listen Harrison I really appreciate that you invited me to the party but regular partying, it’s not my cup of tea. I really need to take a rest for today.”
“She means that she will be coming, don't worry we will be there by 7.” Susie stated.
"Sometimes I really hate you." You scowled. After the classes ended you paced out of the classroom in a hurry deliberately trying to avoid Tom.
"Hey Y/N!"
You heard Tom calling and increased your pace. He jogged to catch up with you and blocked your path.
"What's up with you today? You even left for the class early"
"Tom please let me go." you begged avoiding his gaze.
"Not unless you tell me what is the matter?"
"The last thing I want right now is to be seen with you." you said irritated.
"Is it about last night?”
“Y/N it was just a kiss and we were both so drunk to think straight, there's nothing to be so fussy about it."
"Yes there is! Because you are you, a flirt, playboy it never was a big deal to you but I'm not you. I don't want to be known as your another conquest." Saying that you walked away. Hot tears rolled down your cheeks.
For Tom it may have been a lame drunken kiss but it meant a lot to you. It made you realize that you had fallen in love with the boy who you despised the most. Have you ever hated him in the first place or all that hatred was just to mask your true feelings for him. Tom had slowly infiltrated your heart and yesterday's kiss was the last blow that sent down your walls crumbling into pieces. Whatever he may be but with you he is a different person. He has always been there for you no matter what and actually cares for you. And you had fallen in love with this Tom. A warmth spreads through your chest as you say that out loud in your mind.
Susie as usual dragged you to the party in spite of your thousand objections. You were standing near the drinks counter alone looking around sipping on to your drink as Josh came up to you.
"Hey"
"Hey, Happy Birthday Josh" you wished him.
“Thank you.”
"So you finally gave in to his charms too. That fucking bastard really gets what he wants ."
"What do you mean by he gets what he wants?" you frowned.
"Uh I thought you knew nevermind." Josh stutters and turns to leave.
"No Josh please tell me, if it's about me I need to know." You stopped him by holding on to his arm.
"Okay you didn't hear this from me." he whispered cautiously.
"You remember the freshers party two years ago where you literally said no to his face."
"Uh huh" you nodded.
"After you left we were all sort of teasing him for that and he felt a little humiliated so he placed a bet that before we all graduate he'll have you. And he kind of marked you as his, so no other boys dared to go near you."
You were feeling suffocated, a lump forming in your throat you couldn't come into terms with the fact that whatever Isabelle told you turned out to be actually true.
"Umm excuse me for a moment I think I just need some fresh air." You rushed out of the house to the lawn outside. Tom noticed you running away. A concern took over his face he excused himself and went after you. It was cold outside as you crossed your arms around your body, tears spilling out your eyes. You were angry, confused. A feeling of betrayal haunted you. Why this had to happen now when you had finally decided to acknowledge your feelings to him. You wanted to admit to him that you were in love with him. Though you did not expect him to say it back, you just wanted to lift the weight off your chest. But now you feel deceived, being manipulated deliberately to make you feel this way. You gave him your heart which he toyed around to his liking.
"Hey Y/N what happened?" Tom asked from behind. You didn't reply.
"Hey c'mon what's the matter?" He nudged your shoulder.
"Don't touch me!" You growled.
"Whoa! what happened to you now?" he retracted his hand.
"What else did you bet?" you gritted your teeth.
"What? What bet?" he asked confused but soon realization dawned upon him as the color faded out from his face.
"Who told you about that?" his jaw clenched.
"Answer my question Tom!" you were agitated.
"Listen Y/N that was two years ago you just went away saying no to me on my face, no girl did that to me ever I felt humiliated so out of aggression I said that."
"So that is why you chose to share an apartment with me? Isn't it?"
"No it isn't like what you are thinking. I can explain."
"By feeding me more of your lies?"
"See Y/N initially that was the plan and I'm sorry for being such a jerk but after we got to know each other I realized I was so wrong. I guarantee you the friendship we have is genuine there is no deceit in that."
"I really don't know what to believe and what not to, everything seems a lie to me now at this moment. I trusted you with every little thing about me and all this time you just pretended to care about me . You betrayed me Tom."
"Seriously Y/N I betrayed you?! I?! How could you even say that? If I had to have sex with you I would have done that a long time ago."
"You should be grateful at least for me guys are approaching you because you know very well that you are…." He stopped mid sentence.
"C'mon! go on! Why did you stop?! That I'm boring! a nerd! Tom that is who I'm and nothing is going to change that. I really thought that you understood me but I was fooled by all your lies. You just saw me as a fucking commodity just like the other girls you fuck everyday" You sniffled.
"Y/N you know very well that I don't see you like that, you are and will always be a good friend of mine." Tom tried his best to make you understand. But you were in no mood to listen to him anymore your eyes were puffy red from crying you sniffled.
"You know what, I don't think I can take this anymore. I'm ending our pact. I'm not going to ask you to move out because it's the last semester and I don't want to end up with some bitter memories. It's up to you if you wanna stay or leave. We will stay under the same roof but as complete strangers. You, your way and me my way." Saying that you left.

Druck Season 4 Thoughts and Expectations for Season 5
So I’m officially done with the first generation of Druck. Without diving in too deep into comparsions I would say that I’ve definitely preferred Druck’s handling of its first generation compared to France’s handling of it. Two out of four good seasons (Druck seasons 2-3) as opposed to two out of five (France’s 4-5)? Druck wins this one. We’ll see how I feel about Druck’s second generation soon enough.
As for this season specifically...eh. While it was definitely better than Amira N.’s season over in the Spanish version it wasn’t as good as Imane’s season over in France. I’m gonna be honest, the Spanish version is the only one where I cared about the romance and even then they fucked it up. In short, season fours seem to fail at romance no matter how well written they are in general.
The one thing I like about this season is that I felt like they did right by Amira, maybe even more than France did for Imane. While it was obviously wrong for her to lash out at Kiki the way she did I love that they allowed her to call out the Islamophobia that Muslims face and that her friends stood up for her in the beach scene. I also love that Kiki didn’t hold Amira lashing out against her and that they were able to reconcile relatively quickly.
The biggest problem with the season though is that nearly a third of it isn’t really about Amira? Less than that if you count the Aiball as part of the season rather than a special. Speaking of which, I enjoyed the special. It was a good end to Matteo’s story and had some decent setup for the earlier portion of Amira’s. Still, did we really need to dedicate two episodes to Hanna and Mia? I get that counting the special as part of the season means Matteo also got his own episode so they clearly wanted to give episodes to all four leads but if you don’t count the special not only did Matteo get the short end of the stick but that’s two episodes of content that could’ve gone to Amira. Mia and Alex being together and Hanna getting back together with Jonas both could’ve been relayed through Amira (Speaking of which us Spain fans were robbed. Hanna and Jonas get back together but Eva and Jorge didn’t? Wack.). Hell, they could’ve even gotten rid of those episodes and give us a seven episode season. Sure it would’ve been a short season but I’d find that less annoying than what we got.
As for next season I know only two things. Namely that Kiki’s sister is the main character so I’m expecting Kiki, Carlos, and maybe Sam (Though Sam might be a stretch.) to be part of the supporting cast next season. I’ve also seen people mention Fatou’s love interest being a bully back when season six was airing as well as a comparison between Tiff, Kato, and said love interest. Though Tiff was apparently worse. So I guess next season might have a bullying storyline? I’m curious to see how that’s handled and ties into things since I know this character (Kieu My?) is getting some redemption in season six.
The first generation of Druck was an enjoyable, if not bumpy, ride. Looking forward to seeing how the second generation goes.

"Ahh!" Jonas was alarmed as his character was on the limit of his second life. "Come here!" Sonic spin dashes after him. Cloud dodged and ran away, making Sonic hit on Roy instead.
"Every arcade games have different mechanics," Mark said. "But since we're here for the ones where we throw balls, how about we go for the basketball arcade." He motioned to the said machine.
"Oy! Watch it Ree Ree!" Shakko scowled batting her away with a counter attack.
Reiko picked up the large bumpy orange ball curiously, looking at the far net attached to the game "How do you win?" Priorities, she has them.
