Le retour de Christ est mentionné dans la Bible, 8 fois plus que sa première venue... cette promesse nous invite à :

1- L'attente

"Combats le bon combat de la foi, saisis la vie éternelle, à laquelle tu as été appelé, et pour laquelle tu as fait une belle confession en présence d'un grand nombre de témoins." 1 Timothée 6:12

L'attente de sa venue pousse L'Eglise à proclamer et à continuer à proclamer l'espérance de l'Evangile.

L'attente de sa venue nous invite à veiller sur nos voies car nous ne connaissons ni le jour, ni l'heure de son retour.

"Cela importe d'autant plus que vous savez en quel temps nous sommes: c'est l'heure de vous réveiller enfin du sommeil, car maintenant le salut est plus près de nous que lorsque nous avons cru." Romains 13:11

L'attente et le signe des temps : "Sache que, dans les derniers jours, il y aura des temps difficiles. Car les hommes seront égoïstes, amis de l'argent, fanfarons, hautains, blasphémateurs, rebelles à leurs parents, ingrats, irréligieux, insensibles, déloyaux, calomniateurs, intempérants, cruels, ennemis des gens de bien, traîtres, emportés, enflés d'orgueil, aimant le plaisir plus que Dieu, ayant l'apparence de la piété, mais reniant ce qui en fait la force. Eloigne-toi de ces hommes-là." 2 Timothée 3:1‭-‬5

Pour savoir en quel temps nous sommes, confrontons l'actualité de notre monde à la parole de Dieu (guerres, tremblements de terre, famines, épidémies, persécution des chrétiens).

L'accroissement de l'ensemble de ces signes doivent nous encourager à nous redresser, à relèver la tête et à espérer !

2 - L'espérance

"Nous ne voulons pas, frères, que vous soyez dans l'ignorance au sujet de ceux qui sont décédés, afin que vous ne vous affligiez pas comme les autres qui n'ont point d'espérance. Car, si nous croyons que Jésus est mort et qu'il est ressuscité, croyons aussi que Dieu ramènera par Jésus et avec lui ceux qui sont décédés. Voici, en effet, ce que nous vous déclarons d'après la parole du Seigneur: nous les vivants, restés pour l'avènement du Seigneur, nous ne devancerons pas ceux qui sont décédés. Car le Seigneur lui-même, à un signal donné, à la voix d'un archange, et au son de la trompette de Dieu, descendra du ciel, et les morts en Christ ressusciteront premièrement. Ensuite, nous les vivants, qui serons restés, nous serons tous ensemble enlevés avec eux sur des nuées, à la rencontre du Seigneur dans les airs, et ainsi nous serons toujours avec le Seigneur. Jésus nous a également fait la promesse de l'enlèvement de l'Eglise (Matthieu 24, Luc 17).

L'important de savoir n'est pas tant de savoir quand cela arrivera-t-il mais est-ce que je serai enlevé avec l'Eglise de Jésus-Christ : "PRÉPARE-TOI À LA RENCONTRE DE TON DIEU !"

Car Dieu, sans tenir compte des temps d'ignorance, annonce maintenant à tous les hommes, en tous lieux, qu'ils ont à se repentir, parce qu'il a fixé un jour où il jugera le monde selon la justice, par l'homme qu'il a désigné, ce dont il a donné à tous une preuve certaine en le ressuscitant des morts. (Actes 17:30‭-‬31)

Aujourd'hui, c'est Le temps ....

Le temps favorable pour se tourner vers Jésus, l'auteur d'un si grand salut, le temps favorable pour se préparer à son retour, le temps favorable pour se lever et hâter sa venue. Si vous entendez sa voix "je viens bientôt", n'endurcissez pas vos cœurs ...

En conclusion : L'attente dans l'espérance

"Le Seigneur ne tarde pas dans l'accomplissement de la promesse, comme quelques-uns le croient; mais il use de patience envers vous, ne voulant pas qu'aucun périsse, mais voulant que tous arrivent à la repentance. Attendez et hâtez l'avènement du jour de Dieu, jour à cause duquel les cieux enflammés se dissoudront et les éléments embrasés se fondront! Mais nous attendons, selon sa promesse, de nouveaux cieux et une nouvelle terre, où la justice habitera." 2 Pierre 3:9‭, ‬12‭-‬13

There was a time were he was the only person you truly trusted in the avengers, the one who was there even if he couldn’t. You were responsible for this, he just wanted to have fun and you caught feelings for him. You ruined a friendship because you couldn’t keep it in your pants.

“Honey, don’t do that to yourself. This is not your fault” Wanda got used to reading your mind when you were too consumed in your thoughts, it helps you get out of the rabbit hole you can sometimes get in. People usually see photographic memory as a good thing (which it is) but sometimes you don’t want to remember everything, it makes you relive your bad experiences so vividly that you feel things as if you were back in them.

“Wait, she’s blaming herself for the fact that he’s whoring around like his life depended on it? I swear baby that the way he decides to get back at you for supposedly leaving him is his sorry ass’ fault” Natasha exclaimed and wrapped her arm around you.

“You all know it is, specially you two” you pointed at Steve and Sam, “he probably has told you how much he hates me for ignoring our friendship”

“Woah woah woah, listen I don’t agree with how Tin-man is behaving either but he doesn’t hate you at all. He’s hurt and he probably doesn’t know how to handle how he’s feeling” Sam told you with a sympathetic look.

Steve spoke this time, “listen kiddo, I’m not trying to defend him ‘cuz you know I don’t think this is right. But Buck was at his best when he spent time with you, you really helped him to express himself better and he felt he lost that. I hate seeing you both hurting like this, but please don’t give up him just yet he really cares about you” he sounded sincere, and you know how he looks and sounds when he lies but something in you doesn’t believe him.

“It’s hard to believe that when he has already given up on me” you said feeling how tears were creeping up your eyes threatening to come out.

“Honey, he hasn’t given up on you. I’m sure of that” Sam told you and the others agreed with him.

“Even if that’s true Sam, he will never see me as I see him. I ruined it all by falling in love with him, knowing he didn’t want that to happen.” You couldn’t control the tears anymore, the two men now understood why you were hurting so much, it’s not that you just wanted to be his fuck buddy or that you felt you ruined your friendship by leaving. According to you, you had ruined your friendship even before leaving when you fell in love with Bucky.

“I have to go” Steve stood up quickly and left.

“Trust me Babygirl, things will work out. I’m glad you’re back” Sam hugged you and walked to the direction his blonde friend hurried to.

Wanda and Natasha took you to your room where you three spent the day together. You were all on your pijamas, eating junk food and cuddling in your bed, they both knew you needed it. Not just because of Bucky, the mission was also emotionally tiring but the fact that all this happened right after didn’t make it any better.

“Listen buck, you got it all wrong about her. You need to make things right” Steve told him strongly.

“What do you mean, she’s the one who left like I wasn’t shit to her” Bucky spat.

“Do you know why she left, Dipshit?” Sam said losing his patience “she’s in love with you, she was back then too”

Steve sighed “she left because you said you didn’t want to fall in love, so this way she would do what you wanted and could try to get over you. Which didn’t work by the way”.

“You’re both lying, don’t want to hear this”.

“I know you feel the same Buck, I know you did back then too. Please stop being so stubborn”

The two men left Bucky to connect with his own thoughts, he started sleeping with other women to try to forget you. Maybe he could ignore how he felt about you this way, but he didn’t. He knows you’re not “good” he still can tell when you’re lying but he’s trying his hardest not to completely let his guard down. But will he now that he knows how you feel?
