Had the amazing opportunity to meet and talk with Tara Billinger (art director of Clone High and co-creator of Long Gone Gulch) ! She is amazing, as a person and her art, please go and follow her on Twitter~ :D

When she was talking with me, she said that Phil Lord was pretty pissed that the show was cancelled, and is pretty serious about bringing it back in some way. He wants another season, but might even do a movie. Tara was saying that because of his influence, there’s a high possibility of him getting his way. It will probably not be with HBOMax, BUT it will most likely be the same team that worked on the last two seasons because that’s how Lord and Miller work; they like to keep the same people.

Anyways, thought that was pretty good news for Clone High fans, so let’s see what the future brings! :D

info about them that i can finally share:

Mary's Foster Dad (Henry):

big horror nerd!! he sparked Mary's love in horror :3 he's been showing her horror movies since she was like a toddler 😭

his favorite horror monster/franchise is Dracula, but he also loves anything to do with vampires

he's supposed to be like a mix of Victor Frankenstein and Dracula

works a night job at a drive in movie theater so he usually sleeps during the day

allergic to garlic

Mary suspects he's secretly a vampire..

like Mary, he also had an emo phase when he was a teenager!

he's the only one who has an actual reasoning behind his name (I'm horrible at naming ocs) I named him after the movie ver of Victor Frankenstein since they swapped him and his friend's name in the movie for some reason

Dante's Foster Moms (Emma and Jess):

Jess is an artist! she makes quite a bit of money from it and spoils her family

Jess taught some of her art knowledge to Dante, he's actually pretty decent at drawing but doesn't draw much (he mostly doodles)

Emma maybe works as a librarian or something idk she looks like she'd be one (i also unintentionally made her look like betty from adventure time 😭)

Emma's also pretty good at video games and would always be Dante's player 2

I decided that Dante and his moms would have a pet cat (though it's more their pet than Dante's) they love this cat like it's their second child, Dante has a sibling-like rivalry with it

Hypatia's Foster Parents (Dave and Linda):

super supportive and proud of Hypatia!! they keep all her school projects on display and frame all her awards and stuff

Linda is a math teacher, she made SURE her daughter was math prodigy

Dave used to be in a rock band (drums maybe) and now works a boring office job or something

Dave's also a bit of a space nerd (he likes star wars) and got Hypatia a telescope as a birthday gift when she was a kid

Betsey's Foster Mom (Patty):

works as a gardener/florist, there are a million plants and flowers in her and Betsey's house and backyard

plays piano, taught Betsey how to play :3

Betsey got her into musicals, her favorite is mamma mia (she loved abba prior to listening/seeing the musical)

good friends with Hypatia's foster mom, they met because of Betsey and Hypatia's friendship

E!2080 factbook (that's what i'll call it): brainwashing 😵

I wanna talk about brainwashing because it’s kinda important for my story and sometimes explains some clones’ behavior :) This topic deserves some attention :p 

In general, in my AU we have a cult atmosphere in the Shadow Tower, BUT it's not really a cult. The main goal of the Shadow Government is to grow clones into worthy leaders and soldiers, but at the same time loyal and stupid enough to make it easier to manipulate them. Various methods were used: working with corrupt psychologists, inciting hostility between clones, fake rumors, fake news on fake TV, fake books on the shelves next to the real ones, and of course the scare tactic.

Their favorite manipulation is obviously, “we're doing this for your own safety, the world outside is cruel,” and clones were sitting in the tower like princesses from fairy tales, yeah. You got me, right? Lots of manipulation. But despite the approximately equal attitude towards everyone, it still affected different clones in different ways. Perhaps some biological factors played a role, which I doubt, BUT Scudworth's influence on the clones also helped some to stay sane. I've said this a hundred times, but Scudworth LOVES his clones and he doesn't like the operation he was forced to participate in. Therefore, he did everything possible to prevent them from becoming puppets of the shadow government (he had his own methods, but I'm too lazy to describe them).

So, let's get to the point. I mentally divide all the clones into sane, deviant and ZOMBIES (or brainwashed). Sane people are those who have their own position, are less influenced by the Shadow Government, understand the danger of the situation and want to gain personal freedom. Zombies are people who are doomed to stay in the tower and be used by Shadow Figures for their personal purposes, because their perception of the world is completely turned inside out and will not be the same anymore. Between them, the deviant ones are usually clones who have some disorders due to trauma after living in the tower, but they are still aware of the whole situation and basically refuse to be someone's slaves. Now that we have a rough idea of the spectrum, I want to discuss with you which clone is where on this spectrum.

I was smart enough only to distribute the main characters (and a couple of secondary ones). Most of them are closer to sanity in the spectrum, but they tend to deviate due to psychological trauma, obviously. I want to mention Joan as an example, because although she is the “brains of the team”, she is prone to Stockholm syndrome and, as shown in the first part, sometimes remembers “home” and regrets what she did. That’s why she is not 100% sane.

But I definitely will have a team of complete zombies in the comic who will condemn the main characters for fighting, recruit other runaway clones and try to return them to the tower. Yes, there are clones who were initially against escape and were content to live in the tower, but now they survive on the streets and are extremely unhappy with the situation. But I don’t know who could it be.… But these are definitely clones from the extras, episodic or secondary! You can even suggest your own fan clones, just for fun! (Reminder: My AU is open to everyone and your fan clones can participate in the story, and they can be in any part of the spectrum!).

Can we like, stop trying to erase s2e8 or trying to make Mary into a "good" character?

The fandoms all for "normilizing sa victims" in media but then take It All away. NOT even trying to rewrite It in a way that isnt a joke. ABE IS A VICTIM! AND HE DESERVES TO BE SEEN AS SUCH! NOT as a joke or to sweep away his SA under a rug

As for Mary, too many people try to "fix" her. Like, shes a literal child predator. Whats next? Redesigns of Mrs Grumbles? Taking away Abes trauma because why? You like her design? You think in some odd way shes funny?

As an SA victim who couldnt even watch s2e8, or even re watch the Mary eps, people need to confront Abes assault instead of sweeping It under a rug. Dont acknowlegde that "It was bad" and move on like a coward. Accept that he was infact, groomed and molested, and that even though he cant change the past, he can heal.

I dunno if anyone else has seen those tiktoks of young parents who raise their baby with a bunch of friends but I just suddenly saw Danny with baby!Ellie and his classmates all having fun caring for this baby along with their families all helping out,,,, I imagined that the class find out Vlad is somehow the other parent and even after Danny outs himself because Yeah No he is Not letting them think He did That to Him they run him out of town by becoming a mob of teenagers who even the police realize they can’t do anything about and so Lancer becomes co-mayor with someone else whilst also maintaining his position as a teacher… I recognize most of this is nuts and I dont even have any ideas on Jazz or their parents but like… the class having fun with the baby in school! Ellie is a distraction, yes, but Danny cannot handle her being left with anyone else (yes this was actually my plan for why she’s in class) so they all just- adjust and attendance has never been greater plus grades have gone up cuz morale and even bullying has gone down… Ellie does a lot to help Casper High before she even has memories and Danny knows even if something happens with the portal and the Zone again that Ellie will Never be alone or unloved or uncared for…
