GOJO SHINYA watched carefully. His blue eyes piercing into the back of a young maid dressed in a tattered kimono that she had to stitch up the patches herself, she worked tiredly, quietly, and most of all - she worked obediently. Her name, as he recalled, was y/n l/n. The firstborn of the l/n clan. But depsite being born in such a esteemed family she was hated all because she didn't inherit her family's cursed technique or the ability to see cursed spirits. For this reason, both her mother and father sought to have another child, and that they did. This time a young son of five years old who has already shown signs of having both inherited his father's and mother's techniques.

When he first visited the clan as it was his duty as the next clan head of the Gojo clan and the next lord of the land, his first thought upon hearing the news and seeing the girl was simply a 'how pitiful' and he went on about his day.

However, as luck would have it...he would get to know her, little by little.

He would learn that she was soft hearted and soft spoken. She never got mad, even when her own family was berating her or yelling at her. She never raised her eyes in defiance. She never yelled back. She never even slammed the sliding door.

He would learn that she was a lovely singer with a voice of an angel. Her little lullabies echoing quietly in the garden's of the l/n estate as he would find himself wandering around as talks with the l/n clan have concluded and he was given free reign to explore the place.

He would learn that she loves flowers and even tries to protect them when her own mother would come out and start ripping the small plants from the ground saying how y/n was "undeserving of such things as pretty flowers". Gojo knew he wasn't meant to witness the scene, but his six eyes allowed him to see a lot of things. He even got to see how y/n cried over the deadening flowers and how she would replant them in hopes that they would grow back.

He would learn that she flusters easily. As when she had caught his gaze unexpectedly one hot March afternoon, she had blushed profusely. Her (color) cheeks heating up greatly as her eyes would fixate onto the ground. Her hands gripping the broom a little bit more tightly as she resumed her sweeping. She was so cute, he mused.

So, he would learn and learn and learn many things. She was gentle, caring, soft, and cute too. He found that he wanted to hold her close as the weeks turned into months and months turned into a year as he would find himself visiting the l/n clan many times in hopes of seeing her.

The head of the l/n clan. Sojiro. Would take pride and his ego would visibly swell as THE Gojo Shinya would frequently visit his estate. Gojo honestly hated the man and wished that y/n was the clan head instead. At least then he would have someone pretty to look at instead of an ugly man, and ugly five year old who wouldn't stop smiling, and an even uglier wife who would eye him like a piece of meat.

But Gojo would tell himself that it was worth it. He would get to see y/n (even though it was at a distance) and he would get to make treaties and deals with the esteemed l/n clan. He kills two birds with one stone.

"You will offer this land to us?! Are you certain my lord?!"

Gojo gave a stiff smile and gave a dismissive wave of his hand, "please, I'm no lord yet. So, technically this land here is just a promise for when I come into power. Though, when I do become lord, I hope you will give me something else in return along with your devote loyalty."

Sojiro could only bow to Gojo. His forehead meeting the floorboards, "of course Lord Gojo, whatever you wish from us will be yours!"

Gojo clapped his hands together as a smile adorned his face, "splendid! I'm glad to hear it, but for now...I'll wait to tell you what I want. Once I become lord of the land and take my title as the head of the jujutsu sorcerers, i'll gift you the land and then tell you of my desires from your family. Will that suffice?"

"Of course Lord Gojo!"

Gojo smiled happily as he stood up, "good then! I think I'll take a small walk around the grounds and then take my leave. See you all in the next coming of days."

The family bowed, hell, even the five year old did after his mother urged him a little. But Gojo didn't care. His focus was to see the cute little maid he has been secretly pining after.

Well, that was until he had opened the door and walked right into said girl he was looking for. A crash sounding as a mess of dirty water and rags spilled at their feet. And when their eyes locked. Oh, the fear he saw within her (color) hues. He wanted to hug her tight and tell her it'll be alright, bit refrained from doing so. Instead, he watched as she got on her hands and knees. Head bowed to the floor, lips trembling as she apologized over and over and over again. Her tattered and mis-matched kimono getting dirty and wet from the cleaning water.

"I'm so sorry, Lord Gojo."

Her voice would tremble. Shake and quiever. He didn't need the six eyes to know that her parents and even little brother were glaring daggers at her. Oh, how he wanted to sweep her off feet and whisk her away right then and there. But it wasn't his place. He wasn't exactly a lord yet after all.

Sojiro would quickly apologize as well as he would get his bearings. And as Gojo found himself in a new pair of clothes and ushered out of the estate. He had wished to see y/n one more time. But the head of the l/n clan seemed eager to usher him out most likely because he wanted to "discipline" his oldest daughter for causing such a mess. When in reality it was Gojo's fault just as much.

But he decided to leave it at that. Merely smiling and saying it was alright. Waving a dismissive hand as his usual walk around the grounds was postponed. He reckoned he could see her again (properly) some other time. Hopefully without fear in her eyes.

But alas.

Gojo Shinya would not see her again.

Because apparently she was beaten to death that same night. When he heard the news he had a sort of .. fell into silent fury dwelling within him.

A girl he had fallen for from a distance so easily taken from him depsite him being a sorcerer and having the six eyes.

For the rest of his days after that, he vowed to find her again for it was written in books of old that pure souls with tragic endings got second chances.

So with reincarnation embedding itself into the deepest parts of his mind, he vowed to see her again. For he had a tragic end too. I mean, he didn't end up with her after all, right?

The day after their reunion, both Shinyas regret that they did not have the chance to spend much time together the night before. Though they communicate through texts and selfies, both are left yearning for something more.

Chapter 43, part 1: I Could Have Danced All Night

The morning after the Shinyas' reunion, Suzuki lies in bed sending good morning texts to Sugiki. He writes that he should be careful and drink plenty of water since it'll be really hot today, and is also going to tell him to wear a short-sleeved shirt, but then questions why he's sending such motherly messages and deletes what he's writing. He thinks some sexier texts might be more meaningful. He blushes as he remembers Sugiki's crying face, and decides he'll just send a selfie for now. He suddenly gets an erection, chiding himself since he was trying to avoid thinking like that.

Meanwhile, Sugiki is at his place getting ready for the day, seeing Suzuki’s message come through as he brushes his teeth. The selfie features Suzuki wearing a tank top pulled up to reveal his chest, with a blanket draped over his lower body. He comments that it’s exactly what he’d expect from Suzuki.

While taking the pic, Suzuki wondered if the blanket looked weird, but also figured he shouldn’t send an erect dick pic out of the blue. Both Shinyas recall the previous night, when after their embrace Sugiki soon needed to return to the classroom to teach more lessons. Suzuki thinks about how badly he wanted to take him home right then, while Sugiki wishes he had asked Suzuki to stick around until his lessons were over.

A bit later, as Suzuki steps into Saichi’s car, he receives a stoic selfie back from Sugiki, which he still finds adorable.

He asks if Saichi can take some pictures of him, and makes a flirty pose in the car with his legs spread, tongue sticking out, and winking. Saichi blushes and thinks that this must be the terrifying power of a Latino in love. He tells himself that he’s straight and has a daughter, yet this sight is still making his heart skip a beat. He believes that the one he’s dating now must be Sugiki, as no one else could handle Suzuki like this.

Meanwhile, Sugiki is dancing with Fusako in the classroom. Once they finish, he says that Fusako did great. She blushes and smiles as she looks at him, seeing that he’s brimming with the essence of Suzuki, and thinks that things must have gone well between them.

Suzuki greets Aki at the dance school with a hug and kiss on the cheek, as she looks pleased that he seems happy now. Later, the two head to the other studio for their lessons with Norman. As they approach the door, Suzuki wonders what he should say to Norman to thank him for yesterday. He enters and starts to address him by his name, but Norman insists that he call him “Master” now. He’s holding a tablet where Nino can be seen on a video call. Nino wonders what Norman’s playing at, wanting to be addressed that way, and calls him a pervert.

It pleases me a bunch to see that my last post was received really well, So I'm gonna drop the wack ass family tree I made today and explain some things

Okay, so this is the tree, obviously, you can click it and zoom in to read everything, but i'll explain most of it below.

I'll explain the connections first and then go into more detail.

Edgeshot and Kurono

Now, there's actually a really good thread that someone already made under the #edgeshot tag, but I don't have the link to it copied right now, so you'll probably have to search for it yourself, but basically

They have very similar quirks and appearances, from the hair to their resting faces, its eerily similar. Their quirks both required some sort of distortion of their body to work properly.

I feel like they are brothers, and I feel like its possible that Kurono ran away from their family early on because he couldn't handle the stress of the lineage.

Next up,

This guy (He's unnamed as far as I know)

So, as far as I'm aware, we have no solid name for this guy nor do we know what kind of quirk he has, or if he even has one to begin with based on the way he talks about quirks changing people's perception of things, so it could be he doesn't have one at all.

I feel like he's the brother of Kurono and Shinya's mother, which makes him their uncle

On that subject, Seiji, its heavily implied that he's this man's son, so if that's the case, that makes him Shinya and Kurono's cousin.

Still on this note, I'll continue further.

Seiji's potential father could've possibly been married to a woman who had a sister that married another woman after a fling with a guy and results in the creation of Setsuna

It feels right since Setsuna and Seiji have extremely similar quirks that may be a result of their mother's genetics.

Now,

I'll finally come back to Edgeshot and Jeanist's part of the tree.

So, Edgeshot and Jeanist, right ?

We know they've known each other and been at least friends since their UA days, but possibly more of course and in this sense, they were more.

Tatami is 17 at the end of the final war, which makes her the perfect age to have been born when Edgeshot was about 18, and Jeanist 19, which would make her a teen baby.

In this idea, obviously I perceive Edgeshot as a trans man, which makes her 100% their biological daughter. Obviously, they wouldn't want it known they had a daughter publicly, but they didn't desire to give her up, which leads to her completely different name from both of them.

The reason I think she's their daughter and not possibly another sibling to Edgeshot is because her quirk isn't exactly close enough to Edgeshot and Chronostsis's to be that closely related, but its possible that the combination of Edgeshot and Jeanist's genes gave her an extra boost and made her quirk the way it was.

Jeanist's quirk is fibermaster, so he controls the fibers in clothing and can make it constrict and loosen at will.

Edgeshot's quirk is Foldabody, which makes him able to stretch his body out to be spindly and thin like a thread.

And,

Tatami's quirk is Telescopic, giving her the ability to pull her limbs into her torso like a turtle.

The combination of Edgeshot and Jeanist's quirks could reasonably lead to the mutation that is her quirk. It makes sense to me but if i need to elaborate more, don't be afraid to ask !

Extra:

Now, obviously, you probably see Mt. Lady up there in the righthand corner, and I'll explain.

So,

I feel like she's probably got a distant relationship to Jeanist, obviously somehow connected through his mother's cousin or something. They both come off as very haughty, and from their interactions, she definitely holds respect for him, more so I feel in a familial way, rather than a coworker or elder way.

10 Dance chapter 43 Sneak Peak 2

A few days ago, Inoue-sensei posted another preview for the chapter coming next week! She added two draft panels of Sugiki and Suzuki, who has returned to his old "Lovely-chan" mode, looking very seductive and hot. I can't wait to see it!

Under the drawings, Inoue also wrote that terms like "WShinya (Double Shinya)", "dick contact", and "connect balls" (please correct me on that) are all terms made by fans that she has started to use regularly. Does this mean we'll be seeing some explicit content for our Shinyas soon..?

Psycho Pass Providence — The Re-introduction of Kougami Shinya

Still working on a general review on Psycho Pass: Providence and also a Shinkane/KouAka post. But I had so many thoughts on Kougami after watching the movie twice that I had to document them while they were still fresh. This is a follow-up to a post I made about Kougami prior to watching PPP: some of my impressions did change while others stayed the same. It’s a lot so keep reading if you’re interested in what I thought about Kougami’s character in Providence. WARNING: Spoilers!!!

I’ll begin with the scene in Dejima where Kougami and Saiga are drinking together. There’s one particular line that I felt could’ve been made smoother: Saiga says “the girl is neither a saint nor a bodhisattva, screw around too much and you’ll end up getting enforced. Apologize while you still have the chance Kougami. Take it from an old timer like me.” and he raises his glass with a smile. I watched both the subbed and the dubbed version and the line is very similar across both. I can’t help but think that line could’ve been improved slightly. Maybe it flows more naturally in Japanese so I can’t speak on that matter. But if I had the liberty of tweaking it even just a little, it would go as follows: “the girl in neither a saint nor a bodhisattva, screw around too much and you’ll end up losing her forever.”

And I don’t mean to necessarily press for him losing her as a love interest, but even just a trusted friend or at least a colleague who always had his best interest in mind.

Ultimately, not exploring the more emotional (and by extension—the romantic) aspects of Kougami’s character was a missed opportunity for Providence in my opinion. He’s the second main character in this installment and we got very little inward reflection from him this time around. The last 15 or so minutes of the film is what really impressed me with respect to his character. Seeing him exit the isolation facility, looking back, and then looking ahead, declaring “I swear, I’ll come back for you,”  with such ardor reminded me that he’s still a hero in this story, however unconventional he may be.

It was clear that Akane and Kougami’s relationship had to change in this installment. After 6 long years, they are both different people now and cannot go back to the same relationship dynamics as in Season 1. More on that in a different post. Consequently, the portrayal of these individual characters had to evolve in order to match this change. Initially, when I watched the promotional clips, I was put off by his bluntness—especially towards Akane. But there were instances where we saw the caring Kougami seep through. He smiles once in the film. And this is when Saiga tells him: “I don’t work with the PSB, I work with Akane Tsunemori.”  I don’t know if he smiles because he still finds it funny that Saiga is cooperating with the government or if he smiles at the mention of Akane’s name or even some matter of pride at how much Akane is respected by Professor Saiga. Either way, it was nice to see this moment.

The other less noticeable moments from Kougami were two times when he showed what I can interpret as a combination of grief and frustration. From my observations, his eyes were animated to have this glistening/“quivering” motion, similar to this gif, minus the actual tears — there were no tears in Kougami’s case:

It’s very subtle but please let me know if anyone else also noticed this. The first time his eyes did this was when after Saiga died and he called Shion to consult Saiga’s psychological profile of Tonami along wirh Akira’s poem. Shion mentions how horrible it was — what happened to the professor. Kougami pauses and adds “Yeah”  but the tone is almost as if he had to force it out of himself. I couldn’t help but feel like he was holding it together for the investigation, but deep down was grieving the loss of his dear professor. After all, he told Akane to keep it bottled up until the end of the case. The second time I saw this effect of his eyes was while he was reading Akane’s letter in his isolation cell. He gets to the part where she writes about being glad to have seen him again and that he helped her find the answer. He calls her a bakayaro, and his hands grab the letter so fiercely that it kind-of crumples while he throws his whole body into a defeated hunch — since he’s stuck in his cell and can’t even do anything to stop her.

I had read some early accounts by Japanese viewers that he was crying while reading her letter: this effect in the eyes may have been what was mistaken as crying.

Although it was nice to see Kougami go through these moments in PPP, I can’t help but feel like there could have been more. However, Providence is a very dense film and I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt that with all the action sequences, Akane’s iconic scenes, and the supporting cast all getting their own memorable segments, Kougami’s development just wasn’t a priority. If Shiotani, Fukami, and Ubukata intend to make an SAD spin-off as they’ve expressed in interviews, I would hope that they explore possible romantic or other intimate human feelings on Kougami’s part — similar to how he learned to be a father figure to Tenzing. In fact, I would argue that after Providence, it’s likely that they’ve backed themselves into a corner with regards to Kougami’s interpersonal relationships. The tension between Kougami and Akane was essentially the secondary conflict of the film and it ended with some resolution midway but also a shift in Kougami’s disposition once he read Akane’s letter, realizing the impact he had on her life. If there’s further content on Kougami as a person, we almost certainly need to at least confront his relationship with Akane and even Ginoza (was somewhat addressed on the boat scene and we see them on good terms in Season 3/PPFI). The other route is just watching a 007-Misson Impossible Kougami getting into knife fights and performing crazy stunts, but I think the PP fandom in general agrees that this option would be dull and a waste of a character who had such an artful inception. Now I know that PP wants to go for a more shōnen look and are cautious of depicting romance between the main characters. It was pretty obvious with Arata being introduced as the new main character and the fact that Yuki Kaji was brought on board to voice him (he’s done fantastic work on many popular shōnen characters including Eren Jaeger). But, showing how love could affect Kougami and how him giving love could present new angles of his character would undoubtedly be exciting to see. We know he wants to protect people. We know that he’s decided to work outside of the law in order to do that. He’s made peace with his revenge and he’s learned that he wants to protect people without any reserve or obligation. Saiga warned him about potentially becoming a killing machine like Tonami if he keeps letting people use him as a hunting dog, and he agreed that he doesn’t want that. I expect that he could follow the same thought process as Ginoza did in SS Case 1 where he ultimately just wants to help people with his detective work, without much care for who’s judged to be good or evil. On this note, it would be beneficial for Kougami to understand his heart a bit more. Maybe visit his mother too? Maybe actually value his own life instead of running into a fight like he has nothing to lose? He’d already prepared Akane for his death way back between S1 and S2. Would he fight differently if Akane were expecting him to come back home alive?

Madoka helped Harumi get up as she gently laid Seira's head in her lap. " Why did you let go of my hand? Do you know how worried I was!" Torodoki signed while talking trying not to yell worried and agitated as he looked at Harumi's knees that were bleeding. Madoka handed Shibaman her water bottle, disinfecting ointment and bandages from her bag as he handed the water bottle to Torodoki who poured water on it Jinkawa handed his clean handkerchief to him as he wiped it gently. Shibaman crouched down as he applied the bandage to the wounds. " Who are these men?" Tsuji said looking at the men who were knocked out on the ground. " They were trying to catch me! This kind Ni-chan there saved me." Harumi signed to Torodoki pointing at where Seira was. Torodoki told them what Harumi said as they all looked at Seira who was semi-conscious. Fujio and Sachio walked up to where Madako and the girl were" Miss? Are you okay?" Fujio asked concerned crouching down as he tried to look at her face in the darkness. Seira was breathing hard as she looked at Fujio and then at Sachio who was holding his phone with the flashlight on, their eyes widened at the amount of blood coming out of her mouth. Arata who was just behind him recognised Seria immediately. " Seira-san!?" Arata exclaimed taken aback and concerned as he stood there looking at Seira. Seira looked at Arata and smiled her bloody teeth showing a bit." Oh? Arata? Good, you're here. My bike keys are in my bag. Get me home not anywhere else because I am about to pass out." Seira said as she felt her eyes closed and fainted." Arata, you know her?" Tsuji asked as the rest looked at him " Yes. She is the main founder of the HOPE organisation I work for."Arata revealed to the group as they all looked at him wide-eyed. " Masaya, isn't that the girl whose flower studio we completed yesterday?" Shinya said softly to his brother who had a serious face as he nodded in agreement. " We have her address so I think we should leave at once without any delay." said Madoka, her eyes filled with worry looking at everyone holding on to the handkerchief on Seria's bleeding forehead. Fujio nodded in agreement "Yes let's not waste any more time." he said as he picked up Seira's bag "Shoji, find out who these guys are and why they were after Harumi." he commanded, his words soft but laced with intensity. Shoji nodded solemnly and dragged one of the unconscious men away, determined to uncover the truth. Sachio turned to the others, "I'll drive the car. Let's take her in that." he said, fishing the car keys out of his pocket. Masaya carefully scooped up Seira, cradling her in his arms like a bride. "Who'll take her bike?" Odajimia asked who had picked Harumi up in his arms. "I'll take it, along with Shida, and follow you guys." Jinkawa replied, already moving to retrieve the bike. With a shared sense of purpose, the group quickly departed the Daruma territory, leaving the night's revelry behind. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of the chaos that would soon engulf the lives of SWORD and the entire town of Toarushi, forever altering the course of their destinies.

I think these are my first Genshin headcanons too!

Guren Ichinose,Shinya Hiiragi,Ferid Bathory,Pantalone and Neuvillette with a reader that struggles with depression and social anxiety(and also loves reading and painting)

Guren Ichinose

-I think he's really okay when it comes to care for someone

-like he may seem a bit depressed himself but he knows how to make sure that you do feel good

-very careful around you

-need a bath? He already prepared it; need a new book to read? He already bought it

-kind of an ideal boyfriend I think of in these situations

-he really likes you so he is going to make sure that his precious darling is feeling good and anything doesn't hurt you

-really protective; someone bothering you? Already dead/scared for their lives

Shinya Hiiragi

-he is always a calm/chill man

-like for real he thinks that anything can be solved through a calm attitude

-if you have social anxiety he's going to make sure that you are comfortable wherever you two may go

-if someone dares to say something about you being too quiet or anything like that he will umm make sure they're not going to do that ever again.

-very careful around you just like Guren

-isn't the type to cheer you up with excitement or a happy face,he will just try to calm you down

-since he is kinda quiet himself he isn't like the extrovert that makes people happy with their excitement

-a very good listener

Ferid Bathory

-honestly out of all the people in the world,Ferid is a questionable guy when it comes to depression

-like he doesn't know what is that and how does he deal with it

-of course that once he learns that you have it,he'll make sure to document everything on this subject

-though his playful attitude won't help very much

-I think he'll just put on shows for you to make you happy

-or whatever he thinks that is happiness

-he may seem as just playful and manipulative on the outside, but I do believe that he can and will take care of his s/o if they're in big trouble

Pantalone

-I kinda believe that despite all that rich man stuff,Pantalone has social anxiety

-like yeah he's a Harbinger,he's dangerous,but he has anxiety

-I feel like he's not very popular among the Harbingers too,like he's just there with all his rich stuff(we don't forget about the Yelan stealing situation lol)

-he will understand what you are feeling very well since he deals with that too

-most likely his love language is either giving you comfort or bringing you expensive gifts

-uses his money to buy you the craziest shit ever just because he thinks that maybe that will make you at least a bit happier

Neuvillette

-he isn't a human so it may be a new thing for him

-though he most likely experienced sadness or even depression while being a dragon,he just didn't knew how to call it

-those feelings are certainly something he wants to share with you

-he will be very soft with you

-and by that I mean the fact that he'll sometimes forget that he's the ruler of Fontaine and he'll just focus all his attention on you

-you're really that one person for him,so if he sees you being sad he will be trying his best to cheer you up

-he'll proceed to make you some appointments to therapy

-if that helps you then he's more happy than ever to hear that

Housamo Fic - Two Dog Warriors Walk Into A Cafe

Ding-a ling~

Shinya Tennoji is picking up empty cups and plates from the tables when he sees a small pink and a large brown Therian enter his cafe. Hazelnut strawberry and matcha dark chocolate. They make a rather charming pair, he thinks.

“Oh my, Tanetomo and Yasuyori! It’s so nice to see the two of you again!”

Yasuyori beams. Tanetomo scoffs. 

“We’re just here to use the coupons you gave us. We happened to be close by, so we figured we’d scope your place out.” 

Shinya’s glad to see them, and glad they hadn’t shown up until a good amount of time after the Valentine’s Snowball Fight Shinya had met the two at had passed. Days after an absence of his at the cafe were always busier than normal, to speak nothing of a missed Valentine’s Day shift. 

“Aw, I’m happy to hear that! Yes, see what on the menu you’d like, and order at the front when you’re ready.”

“Shinya Tennoji. I hope for your sake that what you just said was a simple case of you automatically rattling off whatever generic customer greeting phrases first popped into your brain when you saw us, and not you assuming me to be so moronic I never learned how to order from a cafe.”

“Ahaha, it was most definitely a case of the former, Tanetomo.”

“Well, perhaps Yasuyori might have needed the assistance, so good on you for being such a diligent and attentive employee.”

“Counselor! You have seen me function perfectly well at the plenty of other establishments we have been to together before!”

There are some minimally subdued rumblings from the regulars about the fresh faces who have entered the cafe. 

“At least...not fawning…Shinya, but…” “Treat… more respect…holes…” “...think they’re …type?” “… are pretty cute…”

Tanetomo’s ears twitch at the last comment. He does a hair flip and a whimsical 360 degree twirl for the crowd as naturally as he draws breath, which is to say: effortlessly yet with intention, before returning to scanning the menu. 

Taromaiti is at the cash register. She observes this action without judgment or reaction. Hermes isn’t here today, but it’s what you could call a slow day, so Shinya doesn’t particularly mind. Kalki is busy preparing food and cleaning dishes in the back, so he does not get to witness this 10s-across-the-board maneuver.

Cafe Asterism’s patrons tend to get upset when Shinya isn’t the server or cashier, but he wishes he could be on cooking duty during cafe hours more often sometimes. Oh well. He wishes for a lot of things that can’t come true. He returns to what he was doing before hand, and Tanetomo and Yasuyori make their order.

“Iced coffee. Grande. And a bread pudding.”

“Could I have… a venti sized matcha frappuccino? Five Monte Cristos, and two shortbreads, please.”

Yasuyori pays for them both, and they take a seat. 

“Oh, 1 hour seating?” “Well, we won’t be staying long. Anybody who could find something in here even remotely interesting enough to justify spending over an hour in this place (aside from the presence of yours truly, of course) would have to be quite the simple minded kook.”

It’s a subtle dig at Shinya, and the corners of his lips curl up a little. But, for somebody whose goal was to win over Shinya’s “adoring throng of fans to show them who was truly worthy of their love”, as Tanetomo had put it, Shinya wasn’t quite sure if…ah, what was it called? If, “negging”, was the right direction to take.

The people seated nearby Tanetomo and Yasuyori smile upside down. There are definitely some unsavory feelings to be felt in the air, but romantic rival nor direct threat to Shinya���s life/ego (it’s the same thing to them really) Tanetomo does not yet appear to be, so they keep to themselves.

Shinya drops off crockery in the sink, and Kalki has already completed the preceding order for Shinya to serve. Kalki’s insane multi-tasking skills are one thing, but that combined with his four, rugged, heat-resistant arms puts him on a whole nother level when it comes to cafe work. Shinya could sing his praises about Kalki all day long, but not out loud. Kalki would explode the world from embarrassment before any of Shinya’s fans could do it for him in a fit of an envious rage. So Shinya settles for a simple ‘thank you Kalki’ and serves Moe-chan her order, who smiles and says thanks.

When Tanetomo and Yasuyori’s orders are completed, Shinya brings their food over.

“Wow! It looks so good! Thank you, Tenn-”

“Taste test for poison.” Tanetomo spoons a scoop of pudding into Yasuyori’s mouth, and then a strawful of iced coffee. 

“Gulp. Delicious! No poisons identified, Counselor.” 

Shinya wonders if this is Tanetomo’s roundabout way of sharing his food with Yasuyori, some sort of twisted display of dominance, or if poisoning attempts really are frequent enough to be something they actually needed to watch out for. Regardless, it’s a somewhat endearing scene, in a darkly comedic sort of way. 

They are in dangerous territory too after all, Shinya acknowledges. He smiles at the two and leaves them to go attend to the other customers.

Yasuyori takes a small sip of his frappe before setting it down on a coaster. The drink is now already half empty. 

“Give me some of your drink.”

Tanetomo has already snatched it before his sentence is even finished and tries some. He drinks a quarter of it, and Yasuyori nibbles on one of his cookies before giving it to Tanetomo.

The two of them efficiently dine and chat. As Tanetomo consumes the bread pudding and his drink at a surprisingly fast yet visually refined pace, Yasuyori piles three Monte Cristos on top of one another to impressively bite down on all at once, and then hands the remaining two to Tanetomo who proceeds to do the same.  

Wow. Shinya can already feel his jaw locking from just looking at them, but it also kind of makes him want to try it out as well.

Yasuyori finishes his sandwiches and cookie first, and then stares at the one he had given to Tanetomo. Tanetomo purses his lips and tells him to go buy some more for the both of them to-go. Yasuyori complies.

To Shinya’s surprise, Tanetomo calls out to him.

“Don’t think I haven't been seeing you side-eye us the entire time, Shinya Tennoji.” 

Oopsies. Looks like Shinya Tennoji got caught. He wasn’t bombastically ‘side-eyeing’, as Tanetomo had verbally interpreted it as, but he really thought he was doing good about not being that obvious observing them. He hopes the other customers haven’t been as perceptive and paranoid today as Tanetomo is in general, but he’s been pretty good about personably interacting with everybody so he thinks it’ll be okay. 

“So was the entertainment of our dining in your establishment to your satisfaction?”

“Aha, sorry, sorry. It’s not like I wasn’t looking, but the two of you seemed like you were having a lot of fun. I always want to see my customers having a good time at Cafe Asterism.”

“Hmph. Is that so.”

Well, yes. That is so, Shinya thinks. He most certainly does not like to see people having a bad time at Cafe Asterism, when the reasoning for most everybody gathering here tending to be because of him.

“Ahhh… could it be that... that wasn’t the case for you two today?” 

His hands come up to his chin. It’s an endearing pose that he finds tends to quell agitated customers, but it only serves to scrunch up Tanetomo’s expression even more. Shinya holds back a smile.

“The atmosphere here is not to my standards. The interior design doesn’t help either.” 

Shinya’s proud of his quaint little cafe, but he knows it’s just that. A quaint little cafe. That also attracted a lot of… rather strong-willed habitué . So he can acquiesce to that opinion. And besides, Tanetomo was not saying Shinya’s decorating was making the atmosphere worse! He can take that part as a compliment.

Anyways, the only opinion on his cafe that truly mattered was Retail Food Health and Safety Code’s opinion, and Cafe Asterism was up to snuff.

“Aww…. Tanetomo, I’m so sorry to hear that. I’d love for you and Yasuyori to come again sometime… but if you’ve lost all interest in returning to Cafe Asterism, then I completely understand.”

He doesn’t want them to never return again. But it’s not a bad thing to let people run while they still can either.

“I’d be significantly more incentivized to return if I had some more coupons to use at a next visit. The food is up to par, I can at least say.”

“Hehee. At least that can be arranged.” He pulls some from out of his apron pocket. “Here you go, Tanetomo.” 

He smoothly plucks them from Shinya’s fingers and looks them over. 

“You just give these out to whoever asks?” “When I feel like…I have extra, I guess.”

Shinya feels a presence behind him and turns around. Oh, it’s Moko.

“Sh…Shinya… sorry, cuz’ I overheard…but could…. I have a coupon, too…?” 

Moko gets the words out just audibly enough for only Shinya to hear, but Shinya knows it’s only a matter of time before people will begin to gather round, and Tanetomo seems to sense this looming phenomenon as well.

“My, one’s heart can't help but be tugged at by such pitiful displays of desperation…”

Yasuyori returns with a paper bag of confections in hand, and Tanetomo gets up to leave.

“I’m off.” He spins, his hair elegantly following in a curve, and heads to the exit.

“Farewell Shinya!” Yasuyori gives a friendly wave goodbye, and Shinya turns around to reciprocate.  

When he turns back to respond to Moko, and Sumael, Amon, and Rue who have also begun to crowd around Shinya, he hears the bell of the exit door ring as it is opened and Tanetomo calls out from behind.

“Customer service wasn’t bad either. Give my regards to Miss Taromaiti and the chefs.”

The door closes shut. 

“I was still right here to give regards to, you know,” Taromaiti remarks amusedly from the front register. 

Shinya proceeds in the distribution of coupons to his patrons who have circled around him.

-...they're canon, right?  "i don't want no shinoa, i don't want no babies, i don't want no future without you, if you die then i die" yuu? like-choosing mika over *shinoa* of all people is a very specific choice. also i love yuu, and i love mika. i love them.

-this "serious moment undercut with snarky or silly comments," this is so my vibe, this speaks so much to me

-yeah, those panels are the stuff romcoms are made from, ngl. and i like mika and yuu so much that you could have pages and pages of them just talking until dawn and i'd say 'yes please and thank you.' they just gel so well
