Richonne's quick kisses are as great as their makeout sessions and this particular ep 4 kiss is so special. It never fails to make me smile for a multitude of reasons 😊...
It's the sweetest thing to see Rick want to lean in and kiss Michonne just before they exit the apartment and take on a bunch of walkers. I think one of my favorite things about this moment is that this is when it truly feels like Rick has returned to being himself in TOWL. He'd been feeling like a shell of himself for the majority of this series but after that important heart-to-heart with Michonne and finally literally and figuratively shedding the CRM's hold on him in this lighter apparel, this is now the Rick Grimes we knew and loved from TWD.
Like when he kisses Michonne here, I can really see the Season 9 Rick who was having calming morning chats with Michonne in bed just before he was taken. He's back to letting his good kind heart and never-ending love for Michonne shine through in even small actions, which made me really happy for them both that they've arrived here.

I love how tender and soft this kiss moment is and how Rick and Michonne so clearly view each other as their baby who they're irresistibly drawn to and devoted to protecting. I like Michonne's little head tilt beforehand and how this scene is shot between the panels because it really just feels like us getting a casual glimpse into the way Rick and Michonne so naturally and lovingly operate. It's great that before they do something dangerous and get past all those walkers, they care to express through this kiss that they're in this together no matter what.
The kiss is such a quick moment and yet I could gush about it forever lol. And as I mentioned in the TOWL revelings, I love how at the top of the episode we saw Michonne exit the apartment alone and then later saw Rick exit the apartment alone both in a distressed state, and now here they stand side by side, and ready to exit together and take on anything that comes their way as they head home. By including this precious kiss just before their perfect tag-teamed fight sequence with the walkers, it really hammered home why Richonne is the ultimate power couple whose love is as powerful as their inner warrior. ♥️
