Fragments of a qvevri found on the fortress grounds during a walk. A qvevri is a traditional Georgian ceramic vessel, resembling a large amphora without handles. It is used for aging and storing wine instead of barrels🏺

Yesterday, we went to the local history museum to see artifacts discovered in the fortress. However, due to street repairs, the museum was without power all day, so we’ll have to try again another time. 😋 I was especially looking forward to seeing the enamel frescoes archaeologists found here, while my boyfriend was more interested in the arrowheads🏰

Вчера мы отправились в местный краеведческий музей, чтобы увидеть предметы старины, найденные в крепости. Однако музей остался без света на весь день из-за ремонтных работ на улице, так что попробуем в другой раз. 😋В частности, я бы хотела увидеть эмалевые фрески, которые археологи здесь нашли, а мой любимка – наконечники стрел🏰
