1 Year Of Cyberpunk VP & 1 year of Mara Guerrero/Sterling.
Tumblr media
This was one of my first photos I ever took of her, I had just dipped my toes into modding, I recall telling myself I was not going to get too crazy with mods, I just wanted a few of the items that are on NPCS, but not available to player. Like good looking BODYSUITS. It is a must for Mara.
Tumblr media
One of the First uses of Mara for campaign stuff, this was to show Mara in a group call with her Fixer & the rest of her team as shes preparing for her run and reading the screamsheets.
Tumblr media
Just showing this one before we move on, because I also wanna show Mara's transformation as a person, how becoming a merc filled the void she felt for so long. This is just before she body sculpts her hips down, and really takes things up a notch in her work out routine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is where I felt like I not only felt more comfortable with modding the game, but also finding my footing with VP.
Tumblr media
Now we hit the part in the timeline.... Where I made this BANGER. And it's all downhill from here 🤷🏽‍♀️
And Mara's who had just lost her best friend/ childhood love before telling him how she felt about him.
Tumblr media
Here is one of my favorites of all time of her!!!! I took this for a cover photo for Genesis Vijun's radio show. I honestly didnt think I was gonna take another good photo of her, but this one is a classic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I came back after along depression break from VP and writing to take these. Which honestly, I still REALLY love!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ya know ima throw in some normal Mara here and there.
Tumblr media
And then... We reach to my last public release photo of Mara ( i got a few of her but they are private collection only... actually some of my best ones are a private collection.)
Tumblr media
Mara Guerrero as seen in Water on Mars!!!!!!
Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me. It's been one of self discovery through my blorbo and thru my VP.

Cat’s Top and Bottom 5 Video Games of 2020
As with last year, I count only games that I played for the first time this year, regardless of the year they were released. All opinions are personal and all flames will be met with a hearty ‘fuck you’ and used to roast marshmallows.
5th Best: Outer Worlds
Goddamn this was a beautiful game. Bright and colourful, filled with character, dripping with sarcasm and incredibly insightful satire, Parvarti... There was almost nothing about this game that I didn’t love. It’s what Fallout could be again if only Bethesda had the balls, pretty much the diametric opposite of the bland yearly release FPSes like CoD, and every inch of it screams of a dev team filled with passion and creativity. The only reason it’s not higher on the list is because it was locked to first person when I played it and first person inevitably makes me sick sooner or later.
5th Worst: Seer’s Isle
This game isn’t bad as such. It’s very pretty and intensely mystical, with a plot that could have been remarkable. It’s what it promises but doesn’t deliver that killed it for me. I was promised a game with interactivity, where every choice I made impacted the ending, where my actions would determine who lives or dies. NOPE. What I got was a game that only holds up for one playthrough, because the moment you try to make good on the supposed varying plot you discover that it’s going to be the same thing over and over again with only two endings. At least it’s short.
4th Best: Ghost of Tsushima
Another ridiculously pretty game! It’s typical that in a year when the new consoles were released (oh what a clusterfuck that was) that the most graphically impressive game was on the PS4. The gameplay loop is a delight, allowing you to customise your approach to many situations, and the ability to challenge enemies to a duel to start a fight is buttery smooth and viscerally enjoyable. It’s only let down by the predictability of the main plot, to the point where I only did story quests when I ran out of other things to do and wanted to open a new area. Absolutely worth your time and money regardless, it’s a game that will make you feel like a badass samurai from the comfort of your own room.
4th Worst: South Park - The Fractured But Whole
This is a game where its strength is also its weakness: It’s like playing an episode of South Park. Much like the show, when it’s good it’s absolutely on FIRE, and when it’s bad it’s the most profoundly uncomfortable cringe I’ve ever experienced. In the end, all this game did was remind me why I stopped watching the series years ago.
3rd Best: Monster Keeper
A very recent Switch release, Monster Keeper earned it’s place with its simple but lovely graphics, its delightful Metroidvania gameplay, and the almost Pokemon-like pleasure of fielding a team of badass monsters to kick the asses of other badass monsters. When I’m not playing 1 or 2 on this list, I’m playing this game.
3rd Worst: The Last of Us 2
In almost any other year this would absolutely top my worst of list. This game takes everything that I thought was worthwhile about the first game (Joel and Ellie’s relationship, complicated morality, and fuck all else) and shoves it down the toilet and takes a great steaming dump on it. The fact that this game swept the game awards in a year with Ghost of Tsushima, Hades and the Final Fantasy VII Remake is disgusting and final proof that the awards are as corrupt as the industry they celebrate.
2nd Best: Elder Scrolls Online
I’ve never been much of an MMO player. I find the presence of other humans in my games to normally be a nightmare. But this long drawn out dumpster fire of a year got me watching a LOT of videos on YouTube, and when my favourite channels did a few challenges in the new Greymoor chapter, I decided to give it a go as a birthday present to myself. And good lord did it pay off! Elder Scrolls Online is bloody huge, bloody beautiful, allows you to choose the level of interaction you have with other people, and has some of the best NPCs I’ve ever met in any video game. Not to mention the wonderful friends I’ve made both inside and outside the game, who have made this year of lockdowns and crises worth living through. Love you guys.
2nd Worst: Deadly Premonition 2 - A Blessing In Disguise
Holy transphobia, Batman! Swery really made an idiot of himself with this game and his reaction to the backlash, and yet again in any other year it would absolutely top the list. Sadly, it’s 2020, and it gets worse.
Honorable Mentions: Best
Dragon Quest Builders 2 (For having the wonderful combination of Dragon Quest’s ridiculous sense of humour and Minecraft’s dedication to building cool shit), Animal Crossing: New Horizons (for being the pure and gentle escape that I needed during the first few weeks of total isolation), Portal Knights (Another game with Minecraft’s addictive building mechanics and delightfully ridiculous characters), Final Fantasy VII Remake (honestly it earns this through the Honeybee Inn scene alone).
Honorable Mentions: Worst
Astral Chain (apparently it gets good a couple of hours in but I can’t fucking get that far so screw it), Death Stranding (what did I even?), Sin Eaters (utterly incomprehensible to the point I couldn’t figure out how to get out of the first room).
Best Game of 2020: Hades
How could any other game top this list? Hades is truly the best game Supergiant has created yet, and considering how incredibly good their games are as a rule, that’s saying a LOT. The art is just *chef’s kiss* perfect, the characters are all filled with personality and voice acted with incredible talent and dedication, the gameplay is a delightfully chaotic rampage through the various levels of the Greek Underworld, Zagreus is possibly my favourite protagonist of all time, and every single aspect of this game is sheer delighful perfection. Thank you, Supergiant Games, for a truly transcendent gaming experience that will stay with me for years to come.
Worst Game of 2020: Cyberpunk 2077
This game should have had it all. It was made by darling publisher CD Projekt Red, it starred Keanu ‘Most Perfect Human Being’ Reeves, it had years and years of hard work behind it... And it somehow managed to be an absolute shit-show the likes of which I’ve never seen before in a lifetime of gaming. From the lighting that gave people migranes and actual seizures (thanks a lot you assholes it took me three days to recover from that migrane), to the disgusting crunch forced upon the dev team by shitty management, to the plague of bugs, to the returns controversy, to the patches not arriving until some time in January... Not even Fallout 76 failed this hard. This proves once and for all that when Jim Sterling speaks, the industry needs to FUCKING LISTEN.

Link Tank: Cyberpunk 2077 Sold Over 13 Million Copies So Far
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Despite a controversial and flawed launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 13 million copies thus far.
“Cyberpunk 2077 continues to be lambasted for all the problems experienced attempting to play the game, especially on last-gen consoles, but that hasn’t stopped it selling extremely well. As Eurogamer reports, a regulatory filing released yesterday by developer CD Projekt for its investors, reveals the game has sold over 13 million copies as of Dec. 20.”

Don’t forget to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse on Netflix before it leaves the streaming service on Christmas Day.
“I started 2018 with Black Panther and ended it with Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. Phew, what a time to be on Team Representation Matters! I spent a LOT of time in 2018 writing about Black Panther for various outlets, but I never got the chance to fully explore my feelings about Miles Morales freefalling to ‘What’s Up Danger.'”

Elon Musk reportedly tried to sell Tesla to Apple back in 2011, but Apple CEO Tim Cook did not take a meeting.
“Electric car maker Tesla is soaring high, with a $606.9 billion market cap and a stock price that’s up 813% this year. But Elon Musk really wanted to sell the company to Apple back in the days when Tesla was struggling. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple since 2011, wouldn’t even sit down for a meeting with Musk to discuss the possibility—at least that’s the story according to Musk.”

Netflix’s upcoming romance drama Bridgerton is a stressful story taking place in England’s Regency era.
“You know that question that people sometimes ask, perhaps on a first date or at a work retreat: If you could live in any other time period, which would you choose? It is my ironclad opinion that anyone who does not immediately laugh in that person’s face and maybe splash their drink down the back of their shirt in disdain is a complete psycho with zero notion of historical fact.”

Cyberpunk 2077 exceeds sales expectations and tops Steam charts in just a few hours of release

Today is a great day for gamers and for the gaming industry, for today is the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077 — one of the biggest game releases of this year. The open-world, action-adventure game is also one of the most-awaited games ever, as it has finally released today after 8 long years of development since it was announced back in 2012.
To top it off, the game has topped Steam’s charts with today’s player count peaking at slightly more than 1 million (at the time of writing this article). This just goes to show how popular it is and how many people were waiting to get their hands on the game, which released on PC, PS4, Xbox one and Google’s Stadia today. The game will be available for the next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, in 2021.
Tumblr media
For non-gamers or for gamers who somehow haven’t heard about the game before—which is highly unlikely—and are wondering why the release of this game is making the headlines and why its such a big deal, allow us to explain:
The reason for the game’s immense popularity can be attributed to two factors: (1) the game developer and their legacy, and (2) the game itself. The developer behind Cyberpunk is the same Polish developer who made the Witcher game series: CD Projekt Red. The last release from the Witcher series—The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt—was an instant classic, and is one of the most loved and respected RPG games which sits right at the top with the likes of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2.
The developer’s legacy and popularity explains a lot why gamers were impatiently waiting for Cyberpunk 2077. But that’s only half of the story. The game itself is a huge reason for its own popularity. Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt Red’s biggest game after Witcher 3. As the name suggests, the game is set in an immense and immersive Cyberpunk themed world (Cyberpunk is a science fiction genre, which often features futuristic worlds that are obsessed with technology).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The game’s ambitious story takes place in a futuristic city called Night City, “a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification.” You play as V, who is a mercenary outlaw. The character and play style is highly customizable, and the story revolves around the protagonist going after “a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality.”
Besides the vast world the game offers which is open for exploration and full of adventures, the game also features a Hollywood celebrity: Keanu Reeves, who is well-known for his role in John Wick. The game features Reeves as the rebel rocker Johnny Silverhand. The actor very much became the face of the game once his involvement was revealed. Reeves was present at the game’s full reveal at E3 2019, and was the one who took the stage to make the announcements related to the game.
Tumblr media
Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to sell extremely well, especially in the absence of any big competitors and during the pandemic which has increased the number of people spending time indoors and playing games. “We think this is much bigger, Cyberpunk is definitely going to set records, not just this holiday season but in 2021 too,” said David Cole, founder of research firm DFC Intelligence, in a statement to Reuters.
The colorful and graphically detailed world of Cyberpunk 2077 is a dream come true for any open-world, action-adventure game fans and Cyberpunk genre lovers. The pre-sales of the game topped 8 million copies towards the end of Wednesday, exceeding expectations. According to Jefferies analyst Lyra Li, Cyberpunk could sell 33 million units from its launch until end of 2021. The game is currently available on Steam for INR 2,999.

The Witcher Fan Art Shows Geralt at Peak Dad Energy
July 29, 2020 1:58 PM EST
An illustrator on Twitter shared a series of images interpreting Geralt from The Witcher in the most dadly-ways possible.
With the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015, one of the most heartening elements of its rugged main character, Geralt of Rivia, was the fact that Geralt showed a softer, more endearing side of his personality with Ciri. By taking on a more fatherly role in his relationship with Ciri, The Witcher 3 made Geralt an even deeper and more relatable character throughout CD Projekt Red’s epic open-world RPG. Thankfully, a series of fan art creations are tapping into the energy of Dad Geralt in a humorous way that you can see for yourself.
Graphic designer and illustrator Neetols (Twitter) shared a series of illustrations and fan art depicting everyone’s favorite Witcher as the dad we all imagine him to be, complete with taking Ciri to soccer practice, changing diapers, reading bedtime stories, and more. You can check out the illustrations below:

With The Witcher 3 having celebrated its five year anniversary this past May, the creativity and passion that fans have had for the series has never been brighter. In the years since its release there have been tons of great fan creations and art, ranging from a comic book-style illustration of Geralt to a mockup of a Witcher-themed Xbox Series X console. Coming off the debut of Netflix’s well-received TV series and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, fans of The Witcher will surely have a lot to look forward to from the franchise in the future; at the very least, that will include more impressive fan creations.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Upcoming Games I’m excited for!
What better way to celebrate my love for games than by literally listing down all the games I’m eagerly waiting to play? What better way to cure my disappointment in TLOU2 than to look forward to other games that (hopefully) won’t disappoint?
So here we go, a list of games that I’m either actively excited to pre-order and play, or at least to keep in mind and await more information about before I decide whether I’ll play it. I hope I didn’t miss out anything, but I’ll edit this post if something comes to mind that I’ve accidentally left out. Several of the games below are multi-platform games that are also releasing on the Xbox, but as I’ve noted in my introductory post, I’m only interested in the Switch and the PlayStation, and hence I’ve opted only to include the consoles I’m interested in below.
Let’s go!
1. Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (N. Switch) - 14 July 2020
After something as dark and miserable as TLOU2, a nice and chill farming simulator may be exactly what I need, even more so because it’s a remake of the first Harvest Moon game I played and loved on the GBA when I was a kid. There’s something about the series that’s incredibly charming and lovable, and I’ve had countless hours of fun on later Harvest Moon (or Story of Seasons) games as well. It’s been several years since the last mainline installment, so I’m eagerly excited for this!
2. Ghosts of Tsushima (PS4) - 17 July 2020
TLOU2 (I just can’t stop talking about this, can I?) has, to be perfectly honest, shaken my faith in games - the one game I thought could never possibly fail me has failed me in the most miserable way possible. But I nevertheless await Ghosts of Tsushima with great enthusiasm, and I hope it will be a more satisfying exclusive. Trailers for the game have looked astoundingly good so far, and an open-world samurai action game simply sounds like a lot of fun, not to mention how absolutely gorgeous the rendition of feudal Japan looks in this game. I don’t expect this to be GOTY-worthy, all I expect is that it’d be a blast to play - and that’s really all I need from this particular title.
3. Marvel’s Avengers (PS4) - 4th September 2020
I’m expecting that this will just be a decent game rather than an excellent one, but I’m prepared to be surprised (and hopefully not disappointed). Really, though, an AAA Avengers game is a must-play for me even if it’s just sub-par. I’m going in with no real expectations - to expect the game to do better than the well-established MCU seems to be a fool’s dream. As long as it’s decent fun, I’ll be content!
4. The Legend Of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV (PS4) - 27th October 2020
Of the remaining games this year, Cold Steel IV is probably the one I’m most hyped for. I love this series - it’s an extremely compelling and fascinating JRPG, with a gigantic cast of characters who are all very, very charming and likeable. I love JRPGs, and I daresay this shines as one of the best JRPG series out there. Cold Steel III was my personal GOTY last year - I don’t believe it was reported to be GOTY in any official outlet, since it’s such a niche game - and I absolutely had a blast on it. It ended on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that has left me yearning for more ever since, and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on Cold Steel IV.
5. Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4/PS5) - 19th November 2020
I think it’s no understatement to say that this is the gaming community’s most anticipated - or should I say, breathtaking - game this year. It’s on this list, but realistically, I probably won’t play it. I get severe motion sickness from first-person games, regrettably. However, CDPR is of such renown that even I cannot ignore this game - I’m closely watching it, and pondering the possibility of enduring literal nausea in order to play this absolutely monumental game.
6. Bravely Default 2 (N. Switch) - TBA 2020
I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m a huge fan of JRPGs, and I damn near screamed when this was announced for the Switch during The Game Awards 2019. The 3DS is a treasure trove of excellent JRPGs, and ever since the Switch was launched, I’ve been eagerly anticipating Switch versions of many JRPGs I loved on the 3DS. Bravely Default is one such game. Boasting a charming art style, an excellent turn-based battle system, and music so good that one could die for it, Bravely Default is truly a gem in the world of JRPGs. Bravely Default 2 is exactly the kind of game I bought a Nintendo Switch for, and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this one.
7. Yakuza: Like A Dragon (PS4) - TBA 2020
The Yakuza series is an excellent masterclass in storytelling, but I have mixed feelings about a sequel. Yakuza 6 has wrapped up Kiryu Kazuma’s story to utter perfection, and I’m not sure whether a sequel starring other characters will be quite as charming. That being said, Judgment blew me away with its incredulously well-crafted detective story, so much so that I ended up liking this spinoff more than any Yakuza game. If the same hands that crafted Judgment are making this follow-up to the Yakuza series, I trust the studio to surprise me pleasantly.
8. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS5) - TBA 2020
What more needs to be said, really? Marvel’s Spider-Man is perhaps the most accomplished superhero video-game ever. In a year (2018) of gigantic games such as God Of War and Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man nevertheless stood out with an excellent superhero story written with the joyousness and intensity of a classic Marvel movie, accompanied by well-designed game-play that was a lot of fun. It is a truly generation-defining game, and I absolutely cannot wait to play its follow-up (sort of) on the PS5.
9. Watch Dogs: Legion (PS4/PS5) - TBA 2020
Honestly, I didn’t like the previous games in this series at all. However, the concept behind Legion seems genuinely creative and fresh, and hence I’m willing to give this a chance. Certainly I will not be pre-ordering this, but if it turns out to be decent, I’d surely give this a purchase post-launch.
10. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS4/PS5) - TBA 2020
Again, the previous Assassin’s Creed games have been either hits or misses for myself. I’m not much a fan of Ubisoft-style open-world gameplay, although it does the job well enough to make for decent fun. Valhalla looks fascinating based on early trailers, though, so I’m definitely keeping a lookout for it.
11. Kena: Bridge of the Spirits (PS5) - TBA 2020
I don’t know enough about this game to be certain if I’ll be playing it yet, but suffice to say that its announcement trailer really charmed me. I’ll be keeping a lookout for more information about this game for sure.
12. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox (PS4) - TBA 2021
I only got introduced into this series with Ys VIII a few years ago - and what a wonderful game this was! I couldn’t help feeling like I’ve lost out from not being acquainted with this series for so long. Ys VIII took the trope of being “trapped on an island” and executed an amazingly gripping narrative based around this. I remember buying Ys VIII purely because I had nothing better to play, and I was surprised by just how much I enjoyed it. Unsurprisingly, I can’t wait for Adol’s next adventure in Ys IX.
13. Tales of Arise (PS4) - TBA 2021
It’s been 3 years since the last mainline Tales of game (Berseria, which happens to also be my personal favourite in the series), and I’ve eagerly awaited a new installment to this series since then. I love JRPGs with all my heart, and the Tales of series - with its charming skits, endearing characters, and enjoyable storylines - is one of the series I’ve loved for a long time. Regrettably, it was recently announced that Arise would be delayed due to COVID-19, but whenever it does come, you can be damn sure I’m playing it at launch.
14. Horizon Forbidden West (PS5) - TBA 2021
Horizon Zero Dawn is a heavily acclaimed video-game that I personally didn’t enjoy as much. I thought the story was a little dull and couldn’t seem to get into it. Even so? I’m incredibly excited for its sequel. I do hope to be more engrossed by its narrative the next time around, but if nothing else, the game just looks too bloody gorgeous (yes, yes, I’m superficial) for me to not be excited to play it. Good Gods, how do graphics that good even exist!?!? And I even thought that graphics on the PS4 were already absolutely gorgeous! Just give this to me and melt my damn eyes already.
15. Pragmata (PS5) - TBA 2022
This game looked seriously fascinating, not dissimilar to how Death Stranding looked fascinating and intriguing as hell. Again, too little is known about this game for me to have a clear opinion about it, but whatever little we know of Pragmata suggests that this could be an incredibly unique and innovative game, so I’ll be keeping a lookout for more information about this one.
16. Returnal (PS5) - 2020
Another game which I don’t entirely have a clear opinion of yet, but which heavily intrigued me with its announcement trailer. At this point I don’t have much to say about it other than that I’m looking forward to more information about it, so let’s see how this one turns out.
17. Scarlet Nexus (PS5) - TBA
This honestly looks unexpectedly excellent. I love the anime-style graphics in this one, and the game-play looks flashy and entertaining as well, though there’s not much information on its story currently. I’m not quite ready to say that this is a game I’d pre-order yet, but I’m keeping it in my radar since it seems like exactly the type of game I’d love.
18. Shin Megami Tensei V (N. Switch) - TBA
At this point, it’s a little hard to be hyped for something which I know next to nothing about... but realistically? Come on, it’s Atlus. I waited an eternity for Persona 5 - and look how completely, utterly, and mindblowingly good that turned out. I know without any doubt that I’d be playing this at launch whenever it does release. Given the complete lack of any information on this game, my hype levels are currently rather dormant - but you can be damn sure that I’d explode with hype when Atlus finally gives us some more details about this game.
19. Bayonetta 3 (N. Switch) - TBA
I enjoyed Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2. So I’m going to play Bayonetta 3. That’s... all there is to it, really. I don’t think the games are particularly special or meaningful - they’re just fun. And honestly, that’s all games need to be sometimes. Not every single game needs to be a narrative masterpiece or a phenomenal accomplishment, after all.
20. Untitled The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel (N. Switch) - TBA
BoTW was indeed phenomenal, albeit just a little overrated in my opinion (this is probably where I ought to put up shields against pitchforks). As far as game design goes, this game is truly revolutionary. It’s quite literally breathtaking - the world feels genuinely organic, and there’s a sense of freedom its open world grants that few if any other open world games manage to replicate. I do feel that the game would have been even more compelling had it been accompanied by a stronger narrative (I acknowledge however that story isn’t the point of these games), but regardless, I cannot deny just how good the game design here is. Whenever its sequel comes, it has earned a day-one purchase from me.
21. New Story of Seasons (Probably N. Switch?) - TBA
Nothing is known about this game other than that it exists. For the same reasons that compel me to play Story of Seasons - Friends of Mineral Town, I’d very likely play this game whenever it hits. In fact, part of me is even more excited for this than for the remake. The remake is primarily an enhanced version of an old game, after all - I’m very interested in seeing what new things they bring to table with this one.
22. Project Athia (PS5) - TBA
Since this is a Square Enix title, I predict that we probably wouldn’t be hearing anything about this game for another eight years or so, at which point the actual title of this game would finally be announced as Final Fantasy Re:Birth HD 3.14159, with a change of director to Tetsuya Nomura. Jokes aside, I was blown away by the teaser trailer of this game shown during the PS5 event - in fact, of all the games shown at the event, this was the one that got me the most hyped. A potentially-compelling female protagonist in a gorgeous-looking fantasy world with magic and monsters? Honestly, say no more. I’m pre-ordering this and playing it at launch.......... when it releases in 2050, probably.
23. Project Re Fantasy (???) - TBA
Of the five games I’ve given a 100/100 to, Katsura Hashino was involved in three of them (I know he wasn’t directly involved with Persona 5 Royal, but I think it still counts since he directed Persona 5), so you can imagine just how much I respect this guy’s works - and you can also imagine just how much I love JRPGs in general. We know nothing about this Project other than that it exists, and god knows how many years away this is from release. More importantly, I simply cannot wait to see what Katsura Hashino would do in a fantasy context. The Persona games are fundamentally rooted in magical realism, and Project Re Fantasy marks his first (if I’m not wrong?) foray into a true fantasy world. I simply cannot wait to see what he’s going to do. In fact, the mere fact that Katsura Hashino is in charge of this project is enough to earn my complete trust. I have absolutely no doubt that this game will be phenomenal (then again, I said the same thing for TLOU2 and look how that turned out...).
24. Final Fantasy VII: Remake Part 2 (PS5) - TBA
This isn’t formally announced yet, but we know it’s coming eventually. I very much loved Final Fantasy VII Remake - it wasn’t perfect, but it was really enjoyable despite its flaws (I say this as someone who has not played the original Final Fantasy VII). Being a JRPG fanatic, I think it’s unsurprising that I’d enjoy this, and it’s even less surprising that I’d be painstakingly waiting to see what comes next.
25. Sequel to God Of War (PS5) - TBA
This too isn’t formally announced yet, but it’s also pretty obvious that it’s going to be announced eventually. God Of War is, to understate its excellence, a revolutionary reinvention of the series and the genre. The game-play is quite possibly the best I’ve seen in any action game, and that’s just the icing on the cake with a narrative so thoughtfully written and nuanced. God Of War was generation-defining, and if its sequel builds on this, I have no doubt that its sequel will define the PS5 as well. That being said, my excitement is tempered  by anxiety too. A good start doesn’t guarantee a good follow-up, and it cannot be taken for granted that the sequel will be as good as God Of War is. Only time will tell, only time will tell.
This post ended up being a lot longer than I had planned (I’m out of steam writing this whole chunk of words), but it has been rather therapeutic typing this list out and reminding myself that there’s a lot more to look forward to. Until then!

Top RPG News Of The Week: July 21st (Torchlight II, MHW, New Switch and More!)
The post Top RPG News Of The Week: July 21st (Torchlight II, MHW, New Switch and More!) appeared first on Fextralife.
Happy weekend from Fextralife! If you’ve been too busy to keep up on the latest in the games we cover or are looking for a refresher we’ve got you covered! Here’s a bite-sized version of the Top RPG news of the week. Taste all the latest news across the Fextralife Wiki Network.
Check out the video above and read on for the text!
Valkyrie Anatomia Developer Working on a “Large Scale” RPG
It seems the developers of Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin are working on a new RPG and it is by no means small. In the latest Japanese job listings they are now recruiting for a “New PS4 Game Development Project…”
The job listing also describes the game to be a “large-scaled” RPG and is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 and will start development around August or September.
This title most likely won’t be a next-gen title as it specially states the current Playstation 4 generation. In the past DokiDoki have produced games on mobile and handheld devices, which have included the likes of the Nintendo Switch as well as PS Vita.
For now there isn’t much information on the project title or release date and many details remain a mystery but we’ll keep you up to date as it arises.
To read more about this news find it here in Valkyrie Anatomia Developer Working On A “Large-Scale” RPG According To Job Posts.
Death’s Gambit
Last we heard about Death’s Gambit was in a developer update on Tumblr which outlined some of the progress they were making with a new free DLC. This included upcoming fixes, new abilities and metroidvania upgrades.
Now it looks like they are interested in adding in some combat moves inspired by Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. In a tweet by developer Jean Canellas from White Rabbit, they released a short GIF demonstrating a Perfect Block. This will ultimately change up the way the game is played and could even alter how certain boss fights play out.
In Sekiro, using Block and Deflect attacks will fill the character’s Posture gauge which both enemies and player possess, which adds a further challenge to combat. From the example it looks like it’s affecting a stamina meter, depleting rather than filling up a bar. But the hint of “changes” means there could be more additions coming to Death’s Gambit.
What do you think about Sekiro inspired mechanics being added to Death’s Gambit? What other features do you think would be a good fit for the title? Let us know in the comments below.
To read more about this news find it here in Death’s Gambit Getting Some Sekiro Inspired Moves.
Torchlight II
The isometric action-RPG with dungeon crawler elements Torchlight 2 is coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 3rd.
Bringing a fast-paced world full of monsters, treasures and secrets to unlock. The title is available to adventure through solo or with some friends online with up to 4 players total.
Those who pre-order on all platforms will receive an exclusive pet Yapper. Those on Playstation 4 can gain a Faerie with their pre-orders and Xbox One players will gain a Molten Imp. Switch pre-order bonus to be announced.
Torchlight II is available for pre-order for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch for $19.99 and will launch on September 3rd.
To read more about this news find it here in Torchlight II Releases On Consoles September 3rd.
Uplay+
Ubisoft will be launching their own subscription based game service later this year and now are unveiling a full list of titles that will available upon launch.
Set to cover 100 different titles from Ubisoft, Uplay+ will have about every game the publisher has to offer. This include the whole catalog of Assassin’s Creed games including Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as well as newer releases such as Ghost Recon Breakpoint and upcoming God & Monsters.
The subscription service will be launching on September 3rd for PC with the option to download these games to your PC for $14.99 a month. There is a free trial available to sign up for, which will go live September 3rd until the end of month so you can experience the service beforehand.
To read more about this news find it here in Ubisoft Announces Full List Of Games Coming To Uplay+ Subscription Service.
Cyberpunk 2077
Upcoming sci-fi action RPG Cyberunk 2077 is getting its very own lore book which will cover a number of topics about the universe.
CD Projekt Red announce on Twitter through their Cyberpunk 2077 account that there will be a lore book that fans of the game can pre-order. The book is by Dark Horse Comics who have published comics and books covering Stranger Things, American Gods, even The Witcher adult colouring book and more.
The Cyberpunk lore book titled “The Word of Cyberpunk 2077” will contain all you need to know on gangs, characters, weapons you can use and even cybernetics. If you want to get your hands on this title it is currently available to pre-order on Amazon for $39.99 and will be available on 21st April 2020.
To read more about this news find it here in Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Book Announced.
Monster Hunter World
Monster Hunter World is celebrating a whopping 13 million units shipped worldwide and giving hunters some Daily Login Bonuses.
Capcom share via the Monster Hunter Twitter account that they have shipped 13 million units worldwide, which hits a rather large milestone. To celebrate they are giving hunters a Daily Login Bonus from July 25th until August 29, that’s 36 days of bonuses.
Daily Login Bonuses will include 1 x Attack Jewel, 13 x Appreciation Ticket, 13 x Silver Egg, 3 x Gold Wyverian Print and 3 x Heavy Armor Sphere.
Monster Hunter World is available to play on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. The first expansion Iceborne will be releasing September 6th. PC version will release sometime in Winter 2019.
To read more about this news find it here in Monster Hunter World Celebrates 13 Million Units With Login Daily Bonus.
Bandai Namco Gamescom 2019 Lineup
Gamescom 2019 will be taking place this August with Bandai Namco attending. Their lineup has been announced which includes upcoming action-RPG Code Vein, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, The Dark Pictures: Mad of Medan, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, Rad and Disney Tsum Tsum.
But you might notice one big absence from this list and it’s the highly anticipated fantasy RPG, a collaboration between FromSoftware Director Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring.
We have previously explored when the release of Elden Ring may happen, predicting it will be late next year 2020 instead of the usual March or April. The fact that Bandai have not listed Elden Ring among their showcase, could mean that they are not at the stage to show more of this title.
Looks like we will have to wait for TGS 2019 this year for more info or news on Elden Ring. In the meantime you can check out Elden Ring wiki for all the latest information.
To read more about this news find it here in Bandai Namco Announces Gamescom 2019 Lineup With No Elden Ring.
Nintendo Switch
Last week Nintendo unveiled a brand new Switch model, the Switch Lite. However, there has now been news that a new model with an improved battery life is underway.
The new model called HAC-001 will feature a longer battery life, extending gameplay up to two hours more. This means the Switch will have an uptime between 4.5 to 9 hours. The current Switch model has between 2.5 to 6.5 hours and the Switch Lite has 3 to 7 hours.
According to the Nintendo’s Switch Product page, players will be able to play Breath of the Wild on the go for 5.5 hours. Nintendo have not officially released details about how they have extended the battery life, but according to the Switch Lite model, the battery life was improved due to more efficient chip layout so this could be the same deal.
This particular Switch model is predicted to launch in August and Europe beginning of September. The Nintendo Switch Lite will be launching on September 20th for $200.
To read more about this news find it here in Nintendo Announces New Switch Model With Better Battery Life.
Moonlight DLC Between Dimensions Releases July 23rd
11 Bit Studios announced a new DLC for action shopkeeper RPG Moonlighter, which will be getting the Between Dimensions DLC this July.
The new DLC follows a story of a new Portal that mysteriously appears out of nowhere. Whether it comes in peace or if you can use it to make a profit is still uncertain. Should you enter this cryptic Portal and venture into the unknown?
The DLC Between Dimensions is the largest expansion Moonlighter has so far. It also extends the main experience which includes filling current dungeons with new creatures, mini bosses, new weapons but also new shop items and rings.
The DLC sets to include 10 unique weapons, new shops upgrades, new customers and additional story.
Moonlighter – Between Dimensions DLC will release on PC on July 23rd via Steam and consoles at a later date.

Using my outside voice to show off just how far she's come. I remember how hard she would be on herself over the photos when she would compare herself to some other, more prominent. users. I never really cared for these more "popular" users because at the end of the day, they were always just photos. No story, no character development, no soul.
Something I've always enjoyed about her, @medtech-mara, photos is that they are in context for something real(ish). Each photo is a peek into the actual story that is Legends Of Night City, from her perspective.
As she covered, Mara's transformation from Medic to Merc is visible through her photos and I love it. I always look forward to what photos she's going to take after we have an RP session.
If my comments about not caring for contextless photos offended anybody, I'm not sorry, and neither should you be. It's art. Not everybody well appreciate it the way you do. Don't let my opinion bog you down. If your style makes you smile, then smile. Life is too short to give a shit about my opinion.

This was one of my first photos I ever took of her, I had just dipped my toes into modding, I recall telling myself I was not going to get too crazy with mods, I just wanted a few of the items that are on NPCS, but not available to player. Like good looking BODYSUITS. It is a must for Mara.

Giveaway: Win a Signed Run The Jewels Record and Cyberpunk 2077 Merch Pack!
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Run The Jewels is back at it with another collaboration. The hip-hop duo of El-P and Killer Mike have been masterful at finding creative ways to cross promote their music in the pop culture space, from having Rick and Morty star in their video for “Oh Mama” to spitting bars for the soundtrack to one of the year’s most anticipated video games, Cyberpunk 2077.
To celebrate the RTJ x Cyberpunk 2077 mashup, the duo released a new merch line and they’ve tasked us with giving away a bundle of swag. The prize pack includes a RTJ x Cyberpunk 2077 hoodie, t-shirt, mug, and a signed 2LP vinyl record of RTJ4.
To enter for a chance to win this Run the Jewels x Cyberpunk 2077 swag box:
– Follow Den of Geek on Instagram
– Comment on our Run the Jewels x Cyberpunk 2077 giveaway post
That’s it! Entries will be accepted until December 1. One (1) lucky winner will be chosen and then notified via Instagram direct message. The winner must reply to the direct message within 48 hours with shipping information in order to accept the prize, otherwise another winner will be chosen. Good luck!
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Run The Jewels’ critically acclaimed fourth record, RTJ4, dropped in June. It was their first record to reach the top 10 on the Billboard charts. Despite being unable to properly tour the record, RTJ partnered with Adult Swim to produce what might be not only the year’s best remote concert, but also the best get out and vote effort, just the latest in a long line of social activism work from Killer Mike.
Beyond the merch line, RTJ is also promoting their track, “No Save Point,” from the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack by launching a line of 12 IPAs featuring artwork from their collaboration with the game. Cyberpunk 2077 is the highly-anticipated open-world science fiction game from CD PROJEKT RED, the makers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Cyberpunk 2077 releases on Dec. 10. Watch the music video for RTJ’s “No Save Point” below!

The Witcher 3 has a 5th Anniversary Sale, and Gwent Comes to Steam
May 19, 2020 1:30 PM EST
It’s The Witcher 3’s 5th anniversary and in celebration, CD Projekt has heavily discounted the franchise’s titles on all platforms and released Gwent on Steam.
Five years ago CD Projekt’s game of the year winner The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released. In celebration of the anniversary, CD Projekt Red has discounted franchise titles on virtually every gaming marketplace.
In a blog post, CD Projekt Red writes “It’s hard to believe that it’s already been 5 years since Geralt of Rivia embarked on his last epic adventure. Your help in finding Ciri, fighting off the Wild Hunt and mastering gwent was invaluable, friend! Thank you, it wouldn’t be the same without you!” Additionally, CD Projekt shared new Witcher 3 art which can be ordered as a “5th Anniversary Premium Poster” from the CD Projekt Red Store.
Tumblr media
For the full list of discounts, you can check the bottom of the blog post. Notable sales I saw included Witcher 3 GOTY Edition being 70% off on PS4, Xbox One, GOG, Steam, and the Epic Store. Meanwhile The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings are 85% off on GOG and Steam. All of these sales end on different dates ranging from May 25 to June 4. Therefore, if you’re interested check out the blog post.
However, this anniversary sale isn’t the end of today’s Witcher news as Gwent: The Witcher Card Game released today on Steam. Gwent has been available since 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, mobile devices, and GOG but just made its way to Steam today. The title is completely free to play and has an optional 4k graphic assets pack available that also comes free of charge.
It’s nice to see CD Projekt show The Witcher franchise some love on this anniversary, and following the success of the game’s Netflix adaptation. After all, CD Projekt has big things coming up with Cyberpunk 2077‘s release growing closer every day.
For any news involving CD Projekt Red, or their upcoming title Cyberpunk 2077 make sure to keep reading DualShockers.
