A Quick note on Characters on the Sonic Fan comic
In Sonic the Hedgehog: SOLARIS Z3R0 6
Our story not only Focuses on Sonic and his Friends, But on Elise"Maria" Skye and her side
1: Carlton Crazer

Carlton is 16 years old, he is a secret Sci - fi geek and when his Grunkle told him about this "Blue Devil", he was determined to find out if it's true, but has zero luck in catching it or even taking a photo.
He also tries to give off this "badass" stick it to the man heavy rocker vibe..but in reality.. he's pretty insecure with himself and only does what he does just so people will notice him and respect him, Crazer is at times a bit snarky and short tempered, but he can be smart when he wants to and is relatively tough to crack (even though he's never actually won a fight) but even when he gets knock down HARD, he somehow manages to get up..he gets it from his mother Sonja and his wits from his father who is a officer name Charlie (or Chuck by his friends).
Even though Crazer tries to keep up with appearances and find the truth about aliens...he does have a soft spot..especially when it comes to his seven year old sister Rozy and wouldn't mind or care what his sister wants to do whether ask him to dress up as a princess or try to do makeup with him...he wouldn't mind at all since it's Rozy he's with..he made a promise to be a Badass big brother for her after all.
His role in the story will be important since he rivals with Elise at times .he finds her annoying and stubborn...but he does care for her safety, even though they have only known each other for five months..he considers her as weird, a smartass and reckless..especially when she got them all in detention at one point..but that's a story for another day.
2: Sally Burnoak

Sally is kinda a introvert in a way, she's not a fan of being around people..but prefers hanging out with her Dad and Mam,
Sal is a cool headed but easily stressed at times, She is really Clever and a good problem solver and tries to be the reasonable one ..but in reality she is secretly jumpy and does not do well with pressure.
All in all, she is a good person, just not great at socialising with new people..so her meeting Elise first time, she was a bit cold on her, but mainly due to having insecurities herself, especially after going through bully after bully who claim to be nice only to trick her ...but after several days knowing Elise, she finds her odd...but since Elise tries not to interact with too much people, gives Sally the feeling that the new kid is hiding something..but can never figure out what exactly...but after a while, she choose not to overthink it..after all she doesn't know Elise and chances are that she probably had it worse when it comes to bullies back in her old school...so she goes easy on her at times.. after seeing her face one in person
Elise certainly knows how to handle her own... especially when it's to stand up for a younger kid.
More to come soon

Did you notice Sonic and Tails in the background?
I wonder why they were there?

Cake with Elton, coke with Marianne — my life as a rock biographer
As his latest book about George Harrison is published, Philip Norman reminisces on his run-ins with Yoko Ono, Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones
George Harrison: The Reluctant Beatle is my tenth and probably last biography of a big rock name. In the gaps between its predecessors I’ve written novels, short stories, feature films, plays, much journalism and three musicals, two of which were produced. Yet there’s been no escape from the typecasting that followed my Shout! The True Story of the Beatles in 1981.
Admittedly, if I’d pursued a career in fiction as I originally intended (after being among Granta’s first 20 Best of Young British Novelists in 1983), I could never have found a comparable readership. Shout! is estimated to have sold about a million copies; the other titles have appeared in America, most of the EU countries, Russia, China, India, Australasia, Japan, South Korea, Macedonia, Mexico and Brazil. Fantasising about this hugely diverse audience, I picture Himalayan yak-herders debating Ringo Starr and Charlie Watts’s rival merits as drummers, and remote Amazonian tribes gripped by the subtext of marital infidelity to John Lennon’s Norwegian Wood.
At parties I’ve come to dread being outed as the Beatles’ biographer. Such is the band’s eternal fascination that I’ll have people waiting in line to rehash the Hamburg strip club days or recall exactly what they were doing when they heard of Lennon’s assassination. I could never totally dislike our former chancellor, George Osborne, having once spent an hour discussing the Revolver album with him in that high Tory sanctum the Carlton Club, where even the portraits of Churchill and Macmillan seemed to be raptly eavesdropping.
Nonetheless, I’m aware of being thought not quite respectable by the literary establishment. When biographers congregate, it’s far more impressive to be able to say “I’m doing Augustus John” than “I’m doing Elton John”. I can hardly complain since no one could think less than I do of “rock writing”. Frank Zappa defined music journalists as “people who can’t write preparing articles about people who can’t think for people who can’t read”; indeed, the subject brings out a latent prattishness even in authors of the calibre of Salman Rushdie and Martin Amis.
Albert Goldman’s infamous biographies of Lennon and Elvis Presley, for me, remain exemplars of how not to do it, with their vestigial research and ludicrous fabrications but, above all, their snobbish contempt for their subjects. To write an 800-page book about somebody one despises is a sublimely pointless exercise. Yes, rock stars can be monsters on a par with the nastier Roman emperors. But, while taking all that into account (and blessing heaven for the high comedy it provides), you have to love your monster.
I’ve bent this rule somewhat with Harrison who, although capable of great generosity and even nobility (witness his historic charity concert for Bangladesh), was often far from loveable and had always seemed to me a miserable character who showed little gratitude for his stupendous good fortune. In 1965, when I interviewed the other three Beatles during their last British tour, Harrison’s gaunt, unhappy face floated in the background as he watched The Avengers on television. In 1969, when I went on the road with his best friend, Eric Clapton, that same gaunt, unhappy face joined Clapton on stage, decorated now by a hippy beard and a black Stetson.
Retracing his tragically foreshortened life showed me how much he had to look miserable about, the guitarist eclipsed by the creative dynamo of Lennon and McCartney for years before proving himself their songwriting equal with Here Comes the Sun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, My Sweet Lord and Something, acknowledged to be one of the 20th century’s greatest love songs. His final chapters of illness and financial catastrophe — cruelly topped off by almost becoming the second Beatle to be murdered — moved me as much as anything I’ve written.
Few of my biographies have received any meaningful help from the various icons’ PR people. Until I found my brilliant research associate, Peter Trollope, I had to trace every potential source by myself. Having Shout! behind me was a useful calling card; when I did the Rolling Stones, it opened the door to Mick Jagger’s ex-partner, Marianne Faithfull, with whom politeness dictated that I took my first (and only) snort of cocaine.
My most bizarre pursuit was of Elton John’s former fiancée, Linda Woodrow, reputed heiress to the Epicure pickled onion fortune. Already suspecting he was gay, Elton had been so terrified of matrimony that he’d attempted suicide. As recounted in his song Someone Saved My Life Tonight, his lyricist Bernie Taupin came to his rescue, albeit was not entirely convinced the attempt had been for real.
I finally tracked Woodrow’s father, Al, to Davenports magic shop in the arcade under Charing Cross station, where he worked part-time. He wasn’t expecting me and, before introducing myself, I had to wait while he sold a magic trick. What I didn’t realise was that selling a magic trick can take for ever, first the salesperson demonstrating it, then the customer repeatedly trying it out. Which explains why I know so well how to make a ping-pong ball seem to vanish from under an inverted cup.
My longest pursuit was of Buddy Holly’s “widowed bride”, Maria Elena Holly, that poignant presence in Don McLean’s song American Pie, which was inspired by Holly’s death in a plane crash aged only 22. It took me a year just to get her on the phone in Dallas, and then her opening line was “all writers are scumbags”. Eventually she was persuaded that I might not be a scumbag and agreed to see me on condition that it was at her lawyer’s office and I paid for the lawyer’s time. American Pie had suggested a delicate Dresden figurine but she was dressed all in black with a floppy beret like a French fascist policeman in the Second World War. However, rather than an interview in front of her lawyer as the dollars racked up, she suggested the two of us just went off to lunch.
Of all my biographies only one came close to being authorised in the conventional way, when subject tells all to writer and vets the material before publication. But others have been endorsed retroactively or approved by the back door.
Five months after Lennon’s death, while I was in New York publicising Shout!, Yoko Ono saw me on breakfast television and phoned me at the ABC studios. “What you just said about John was very nice,” she said. “Maybe you’d like to come over and see where we were living.” That afternoon, I was inside the Dakota Building, looking around their vast white seventh-floor apartment which was just as Lennon had left it, his guitar still hanging on the wall above his bedhead. One small, twilit room contained every piece of clothing he’d ever worn back to his Beatle days, all on revolving racks like some ghostly boutique.
When I was researching my Elton John book, its subject was undergoing multiple detoxifications, so was inaccessible to any interviewer. But just after its publication, my telephone rang and a familiar voice said, “This is Elton.” I only wish I’d had the balls to ask, “Elton who?” He said the biography was “pretty accurate”, invited me to tea the next day and, over Earl Grey and chocolate cake, virtually dictated a postscript chapter about his rehab.
The most surprising case was that of Paul McCartney, whom I admit to having grossly misjudged in Shout! and who’d since referred to it as “shite”. When I let him know as a courtesy that I was embarking on a biography of Lennon, I expected no response. But one day my telephone rang and a voice said, “Ullo, it’s Paul here.” I wish I’d had the balls to ask, “Paul who?” We talked for about 40 minutes, I not like a writer — because I expected nothing from him — but simply as one bloke to another. The upshot was that he let me interview him for the Lennon book by email. Six years later when I proposed a companion volume about him, he came back personally with his “tacit approval” within two weeks.
On the Lennon biography I found myself de-authorised by rock’s other famous widow. For three years, I’d had Ono’s total co-operation: not only 14 hours of interviews with her — when she even told me what she and Lennon used to do in bed — but conversations with their son, Sean, and her daughter from a previous marriage, Kyoko. The sole proviso was that she’d read my manuscript and, if she liked it, would contribute a foreword (to which my publishers weren’t exactly looking forward).
The final bit of access I hoped for was to read Lennon’s diary, kept locked away in the vaults of the Dakota Building, which seemed guaranteed by Ono’s friendly invitation to drop by for “a cup of tea”. As I walked across Central Park to the Dakota, a thought suddenly popped into my head: “Suppose she’s waiting for me with a lawyer?” In fact, she was waiting with two lawyers. After reading my manuscript, she’d decided the book was “mean to John” and was withdrawing her quotes, as well as those of Sean and Kyoko. For two highly unpleasant hours, she and the lawyers tried to persuade me to hand over the interview tapes. Also present was an unidentified women whose role was unclear until Ono shouted, “How could you say that John masturbated?” (which she herself told me with a smile during our interviews). At this, the mystery woman went “Ugh!” and gave a theatrical shudder, and I realised she was Ono’s personal shudderer.
Our one-page agreement gave Ono no prerogative to withdraw her quotes and the tapes belonged to me, not her. Even so, during the long run-up to publication, I checked my email every day, braced for a legal onslaught from her. But it never came.
My books have received some good reviews, some justifiably critical ones and some verging on the psychotic. I’ve noticed that the lighter and sweeter the music, the more grimly obsessive are its hardcore fans. While promoting the Buddy Holly biography, I realised I was being stalked by a member of Holly’s British “appreciation society”, who’d somehow procured a list of my radio interviews and was appearing on each show ahead of me, warning its listeners not to believe a word I said.
Retribution of a less sinister nature came on the first occasion I used that earlier quip about Elton John being a less portentous biographical subject than Augustus John. It was when I spoke at the Porlock Literary Festival, one of whose supporters, the novelist Margaret Drabble, sat in the front row with her husband, Michael Holroyd.
That’s right, the biographer of Augustus John. Now what were the odds?

44. Five Nights At Freddy's: The Silver Eyes, by Scott Cawthon and Kira Breed-Wrisley
Owned?: No, library Page count: My summary: Ten years ago, Charlie's friend Michael was killed at the pizzeria that was her father's baby. Now, she's returned to the town where she grew up for the memorial, alongside the friends she's since drifted apart from. But when they break into the abandoned Freddy's, it seems that the disappearances weren't buried with Michael and the other children. The animatronics are alive. And there's a killer on the loose… My rating: 2.5/5 My commentary:
So, Five Nights at Freddy's. That sure is a game. The background to me reading this is that I watched the film with a friend not too long ago, and it was surprisingly good. That, plus an excellent video essay by NezumiVA, got me interested in FNaF lore, and I wanted to take the plunge and see what the books were like for myself. Now, don't get me wrong. FNaF is not necessarily a good game series - it's too bogged down in its own lore and mystery, and the ongoing narrative just becomes more and more convoluted with each installment. Plus, Scott Cawthon himself is a conservative Republican who has donated to the Republican party and is anti-choice. Screw him. Still, I find FNaF in and of itself to be an interesting case of an internet horror series, and the progenitor of the 'twisted children's mascot' style of survival horror game. I'd heard the books went some weird directions, so why not borrow them from the library? So without further ado - it's The Silver Eyes.
And how did I find it? Mostly, bland. To be expected, really. The thing about FNaF is that it does, in fact, work really well in the medium that it is in - that of a jumpscare-heavy suspenseful horror game. All of the lore is backstory and background that gets hinted at through the actual game And I'm talking about the first game here. A common criticism of FNaF as it develops is that it gets bogged down in creating new Twists And Turns and piling lore upon lore upon lore. You can't adapt FNaF as-is into a book; literary jumpscares aren't really a thing. So what we instead have is a standard horror/coming of age story. A seventeen year old returns to her hometown, a place tied up in family history, a place that still holds a lot of mysteries about her past. But surprise! The monster that plagued her childhood is still here, and now she has to defeat it! The narrative doesn't really deviate from this basic premise, which is…alright. Like, it's fine. Paint by numbers horror, but largely inoffensive.
There were three things that greatly annoyed me about this book, however, and I will complain about all of them in turn! One, there were too many characters. Charlie is accompanied by her friends John, Jessica, Carlton, Lamar, Marla, and Marla's little brother Jason. So that's seven characters to get to know, and half of them feel sidelined. I couldn't tell you the first thing about Lamar and Marla, Carlton is mostly just The Snarky One, and Jessica's not that much more fleshed out than John, who gets deuteragonist status by virtue of being Charlie's sort-of love interest. You could cut half of this cast and the narrative would not suffer even the tiniest bit. Add to them the secondary characters like Afton and Carlton's family and Henry Emily, and you've got way too many people to keep track of.
Second, there were so many choices in the story that weren't justified or fall apart with any sort of scrutiny. Charlie had a twin brother who was killed when they were small; somehow, she didn't know about this until now? Nobody mentioned it to her? Carlton's dad refuses to look for him after he goes missing in Freddy's and leaves it a full night on the flimsy premise that Carlton is probably just pulling a prank, which is just an artificial way to create peril that made no sense. But the gold medal for this goes to the killer himself, William Afton. See, in the first game, we don't need to know why Afton murdered a bunch of kids - that part is just backstory to the idea that the animatronics are haunted. But here, we have serial killer Afton who just loves snatching and killing kids…because? There's not even a basic excuse for his behaviour, I guess we're just supposed to understand that he's evil or something and not think any more about it. But at the end, when he kidnaps Carlton, he just puts him in a springlock suit and leaves him there, which of course means that Carlton later escapes. Other people, he just murders, but that day he decides not to? For…some reason? He has no motive, he just does things that are meant to be creepy, and that's it. No nuance. Which, again, can work when it's just backstory for a video game whose whole point is to avoid getting jumpscared. Not so in this sort of prose narrative.
And finally, not all that surprisingly for FNaF, the narrative just takes a left turn into copaganda in the middle. Carlton's dad, a police officer, expresses that they knew that Afton was responsible for the deaths, but they didn't have enough evidence to convict him so he got away with it. Well, specifically they say that they can't convict him without bodies, but there's been murder convictions without bodies before in real life? But anyway, the fact that the narrative validates this sort of opinion by having Afton be an evil murderer who murders evilly feeds into that copaganda viewpoint of 'if only police were allowed to be tougher then those evil murderers would stop walking free'. Basically advocating for a police state. It was baffling, I had to put the book down for a minute when I read it because it felt like Cawthon jumping onto a soapbox just to be conservative for a moment. Gross.
Next up, the life of a godkiller, and those she loves.

Hey biscuits it’s au time (Elizabeth’s death story edition)
I don’t really talk about Elizabeth a lot but I should because she’s a very interesting character especially within the au context
Elizabeth Afton looks up to her mother in the au maybe even more then she does in canon with William, since her and her mother are more alike it’s easier for her to see her mother as the person she wants to be when she grows up— her opinions on her father in this context though aren’t really the best? She does love him of course but she sees him as a little overbearing of a parent, she wants to be independent and finds it patronizing when William asks he if she needs help with homework or with cleaning her room
William truthfully just wants to have the same bond with Elizabeth that she has with her mother, he’s not jealous but he is disappointed that he can’t connect with his daughter in the same way— in fact William feels he can’t really connect with any of his children and he’s always been afraid they’d love their mother more and he’d just be a background presence for them- BUT THIS POST ISNT ABOUT WILLIAM (sorry to ramble about him when I’m supposed to talk about Liz’s death but he’s just a very sad dad ok)
Anyway. Elizabeth dies slightly (and by slightly I mean only a few days) later then she would in canon, AFTER the opening of sister location instead of the same day, in fact Elizabeth dies in a spring lock accident at a completely different location
The story goes as follows,
Elizabeth is introduced to some of Charlie’s friends that she hadn’t formally met yet, Cecil is here too and he had already met these friends of Charlie
John, Jessica, and Carlton (I’d include Marla and Lamar too but they don’t really have a place in the narrative so I’m just gonna not)
These kids are Cecil and Charlie’s age so Elizabeth is a couple years older then all them(she’s 10 and the rest are between 7-8) and thus they ask Elizabeth a lot of questions (assuming she knows a lot more because she’s older) they’re kinda right because she does know a lot… about animatronics! Jessica is especially interested in the animatronics and how they work, the boys are less enthusiastic but still listen
Eventually the topic of spring locks come up and John is very confused about it and is a little rude to Elizabeth, Elizabeth decides it’d be easier to show not tell and brings the group into parts and service for a demonstration, at the time Franbear (equivalent to Fredbear) is being cleaned so Elizabeth just grabs a wrench and pops the chest hatch open to show everyone what spring locks look like and how they work
Elizabeth is standing over the open animatronic pointing out what’s what when little John gets an idea, he wants to prank her! He whispers about to to Jessica and she thinks it’s funny too (Cecil and Carlton are standing near the doorway quietly watching and Charlie has already gone home at this point) John and Jessica (both 7) then work together to shove Elizabeth forward and into the chest compartment of the animatronic
Initially everything is fine and the kids are laughing (except Cecil, the only one other then Elizabeth aware that springlocks are dangerous) but soon Elizabeth realizes her hair is stuck in the gears and springlocks, and while trying too pull her face out something snaps
There’s a lot of screaming, Elizabeth is afraid, John and Jessica are afraid, Cecil and Carlton decide it’s time to go get an adult
On the other side of the pizzeria in Clara’s office where the screaming can’t be heard Clara and Betty Burke are sitting and chatting over coffee, something about police business when the boys run through the door, Carlton is borderline unintelligible trying to explain what happened and Cecil isn’t saying anything at all
Clara and Betty follow their sons back to the room and find Elizabeth, Clara steps out to call an ambulance and tells John and Jessica to go wait in the dining room for their parents to come get them (being located in a nice family neighborhood the restaurant equivalent to the fnaf 1 location often had unattended children who’d just walked their from their houses (it’s 1984) )
Betty then starts looking around for Clara so poor Cecil (who believes sister is already dead) can go home but finds Clara has completely disappeared- the ambulance got there pretty quickly and after several minutes of searching the location come to the conclusion that Clara must have gone with Elizabeth to the hospital
Betty then goes back to the office and tries to call William. Nobody told her he’s already too dead at this point
So, sorta out of options, Betty just tells the boys to go wait in her car, Cecil and Carlton poor things are so so afraid and Betty and very concerned that Cecil here has been just totally left alone in a situation like this so she brings them out to the Afton house to look for William and Clara, finding neither and with no other choice she tells Cecil that he’s gonna have to stay with her family for the next couple hours
At some point in the night it goes from "we’re watching him for awhile surely Clara will be here soon” to “I guess the Afton boy and our son are having a sleepover now because it’s been hours and she’s still not here and nobody has picked up the phone”
Clara finally turns up at like 11 at night .. it was 5-something pm when when she vanished, her disappearance isn’t questioned due to the circumstances but Betty and Clara do have a fight about “you can’t just take my son!” and “what else was I supposed to do! You left him there!” And Clara does attempt to storm out with her son but Cecil is upset because actually the “sleepover” was making him feel better and they were gonna watch a movie and “please mom can’t I stay? Mr and Mrs Burke are so nice.. and I’ve never had a sleepover!” Clara ends up caving and lets him stay with his friends but also demands that they let her stay too to keep an eye on Cecil, Betty and Clay find this reasonable enough and let her sleep on the couch for the night
(This is a very long post and I’m eepy therefore I am NOT checking for typos)
#cheshiresmilefnafau#it was really terrible and violent and I swear this post was supposed to be about Elizabeth and not Cecil#he’s the main character 😔#I’m never not gonna talk about him#also to to be clear Clara disappeared for 7 hours because she was murdering John and Jessica#disposing of corpses takes awhile#this is after Sammy dying but before the mci btw#this whole night was just horrible for everyone involved#the only reason Carlton wasn’t also murdered here was because Cecil told his mom Carlton didn’t do anything#he wasn’t involved with Elizabeth’s death and therefore allowed to live#anyway

Ok with OP's blessing I'm going to go on a ramble about why I like TSE best as a stand alone, though I'll be honest this turned into a character analysis about William and Henry
Henry's characterization
Probably the biggest thing for me is how Henry is described. He's left as a blurry memory Charlie is hardly holding onto. Heck, he's not even given a physical description with exception to piercing dark eyes. I get they needed to leave him ambiguous so the plot twist that he was actually nowhere near as noble as Charlie thought could work, but I think they tried too hard to make him morally grey and just ruined how good of a foil to William he was. (more on that later)
In my experience, people never look at Fourth Closet Henry and say "woah that's a really interesting character arc" but usually say "you're dumb for seeing him as a good guy, he's terrible and you should feel bad for liking him". I'm also not a fan of the whole 'cracking perceptions' thing some stories do. I'd rather watch a character degrade in real time rather then find out after the fact
2. William's characterization
William/Dave has a really good character arc. It's told mostly out of order and with some pretty big pieces missing, but that gives the reader the chance to read between the lines. Was he always genuinely evil or did he try once upon a time before giving into the madness? What was the breaking point that lead him to commit so much violence? Charlie sees him as a sick stranger always left in the background, Carlton finds out he's actually a madman, Officer Burke remembers when he was so well-liked that he nearly got away with half a dozen murders.
Most importantly, William is still human. He's out of his mind with bloodthirst and only a scarred, half-starved version of what he used to be, but without the megalomania and immortality, he's still a human being. The way he's written in TFC retcons that humanity. One way I read TSE William is that he never had a family and through jealousy or otherwise took his chance to destroy as many other families as he could. For what? Well, he's evil, there's no debating that. But he's the kind of evil that still feels grounded in a way the series loses later on. What's the point of being so jealous of Henry's family that it drives him insane if he had a daughter and abused her?
And then of course you have the debate (?) of if William should have been written as abusive or not. I think it makes him more evil in a way that's less interesting. Again, it takes out his human motives. He's just cruel for that sake of it, having a family and not caring. The only reason he has to kill is for immortality. Now it's not that Remnant as a concept is a bad idea, it works and is pretty important to the lore at this point. and yes it does get foreshadowed in the first book, but it messes up an otherwise really well done villain, a villain who's interesting specifically for how much is left unsaid.
3. Henry and William as foils
As the trilogy goes on there's this idea that William and Henry are actually more similar then you'd think, but I don't think there's too many people out there who actually like this as opposed to people who want to yell at others for getting the characterizations wrong. Henry's "true colours" are used more or less as a 'gotcha' against people instead of a 'well it's more interesting this way' thing. Like I've seen people get really mean about it, and for what? Half the fandom doesn't read the books and half of the people who do choose to ignore them. Going back to what I said about William being human in TSE, making Henry and William similar later on makes Henry seem worse (morally) instead of either of them better (as characters).
The scene where Officer Burke is looking through the photos and realizes Dave Miller is William is really fascinating (to me at least). Throughout the whole book Henry is just a few scraps of memories but now we get to see things come into focus when we finally get an adult's POV. I'd like to draw your attention to one line in particular: "Afton was as robust and lively as Henry was withdrawn and shadowy."
Everything about Henry is described in a way to make him sound haunted and tired. "Dave" is sickly and bitter, but before that he acted as though everything was perfectly fine. They both suffered, but they handled it in opposite ways. Henry's response was to shut down and cave in on himself until the suffering got too heavy to handle. We don't know for sure what William went through, but Carlton figured he was "feeling more and more abused by the year" and "had spent so much of his life fighting like a cornered rat". William's struggles had been going on for a lifetime while Henry was hit with the tragedies in the span of only two years or so. The biggest thing in my eyes is how both of them solved their problems with death. William inflicted death on others and Henry inflicted it on himself.
4. Ending leaves minimal loose ends
Anyone who's played the games knows about Springtrap. Yes it would make sense for him to carry over into the book universe, but the narrative doesn't leave any indication of that in Silver Eyes. Officer Burke promises the animatronics will be taken care of and the Missing Children put to rest. Charlie goes to her father's grave and takes a moment to remember some silly mundane memory that she can still find comfort in. There's no reason to assume that Afton is still alive (to be fair he was half dead as Dave anyway). It's a bittersweet ending that really doesn't give the reader much to look forward to. If you didn't know it was a trilogy, would you even think there was a sequel? There's a pretty strong sense of conclusion in the ending chapter and no reason to dig it up again
Misc:
Sammy could have been the Puppet to parallel Charlie's game counterpart but the writing didn't go that way (can't remember for sure but is the Puppet even in the books?). Charlie-bot is why we have so many robo-kid theories now. Henry going mad could have worked, but why not make him try and fail to revive Sammy? Parts of the gang from TSE get dropped because there were too many character to keep track of. The Twisted One's comic designs are really bad actually (not relevant but I wanted to mention it). Circus Baby is possessed by a literal child why why why is she flirting with Carlton???
Uhh ok this was long but I've thought a lot about this book and this was the perfect chance to ramble. I might have gotten things wrong but y'know it's gonna happen (plz don't yell at me)
Finished silver eyes the other day btw. Love how nothing bad ever happens to them and how that’s the last book of the series :]

instead of a sequel movie to crazy rich asians I think they should make a limited miniseries out of china rich girlfriend but, crucially, only the parts where corinna tries to teach kitty how to be a proper lady. maybe occasionally you spot rachel and nick or astrid and charlie or carlton and colette soap operaing it up in the background like buffy and angel in "the zeppo" but mostly it's about kitty reading the complete works of anthony trollope and discovering christianity and using corinna's gift with purchase coupon at elizabeth arden

the results of the favorite pansexual characters survey are in! @superfranticpanromantic
in a mind-blowingly shocking twist, deadpool is y’all’s favorite pansexual lmao
there were some recurring themes in the reasons y’all love these characters; y’all like the characters themselves and them being pan is secondary. they were the first pan/queer characters y'all saw. the characters are authentic, relatable, interesting, or amusing. they have chaotic or bad bitch energy. they’re open or casual about their pansexuality/queerness. they have a strong sense of who they are and are unapologetic about it. and they make y'all feel seen/valid or have helped y'all accept being pan/queer.
(my favorite response was the one that just said "i love bastards" because honestly same)
but this kind of made me realize how pansexual characters seem to have similar traits. whether they’re the literal devil, a superhero, or a normal person, they tend to really know who they are, which is often unique or quirky or badass, and never waver in or apologize for it. which is cool. we don’t get many pansexual characters, but the ones we have are kind of awesome.
Image Description below:

The Ultimate In-Depth Analysis of Carlton Burke from the FNAF Novels (PART TWO)
(PLEASE READ PART ONE OF THIS ESSAY FIRST! OTHERWISE, YOU WILL BE VERY CONFUSED!)
People can argue all they want that Charlie’s self-sacrifices in The Twisted Ones or The Fourth Closet were the bravest moments in the books, but one, she’s a robot who can be repaired (as shown by her reappearance in The Fourth Closet after her “death” in The Twisted Ones) and two, there were other, SMARTER ways to solve the problem the first time she did it. Carlton knew they were running out of time and the only way they could save this child was if action was taken immediately, so he volunteered to go rescue the child himself, even though he knew there was a huge chance he might die. While being pursued by Funtime Freddy yet again, Carlton dove under a spinning ride and got the brilliant idea to activate the ride to crush Freddy. This is another example of his intelligence, showing he is no idiot. After running around the building for god knows how long, he starts losing hope. He doesn’t think he’ll be able to save the child in time, just like he wasn’t able to save Michael Brooks. He felt like he had a chance to get the justice Michael deserved, and just like how he failed Michael the first time, he feels that by failing to rescue this child is failing Michael yet again. He breaks down and cries, showing how much he cares about his childhood friend and how he is afraid of letting other people down. In the climax of his character arc, he comes face to face with William Afton once again. Carlton grabs a pipe off the floor, intending to hit Afton with it, but stops himself in an act of mercy. He doesn’t want to be seen as a vicious person like Afton was by attacking Afton before Afton has attacked him. It shows that Carlton thinks carefully about his actions, regardless of how much someone deserves it. This requires maturity and control that many adults do not possess, and Carlton is only 19. Then, of course, Carlton realizes that not only does Afton REALLY deserve it, but not taking action to at least incapacitate Afton is putting himself and the child in jeopardy. Unfortunately, before Carlton can do anything, he gets captured yet again and is tragically stabbed in the heart by a syringe filled with molten metal (assumed to be remnant). This is a truly disturbing experiment and can be described as no less than torture. (Editing this has made me realize that Carlton is the character that gets hurt the most and goes through the most sick, demented events in the entire book series, and I thought I would just sneak that fact in here because, yikes, my poor baby boy, you don’t deserve to be pushed into the background.) Carlton, while in agonizing pain, prays that he doesn’t die so he can save the child and get Michael the justice he deserves. By dying, he fears he has truly failed Michael. When he wakes up, he is in the spirit realm with Michael and the other children that were killed in the first set of kidnappings, and even though he feels at home, he realizes he doesn’t belong there. He needs to merge the drawings and convince the children in the spirit realm not to trust Afton. By doing this, he ends up saving the child and Afton ends up meeting his demise. Even in death, he is determined to do whatever it takes to save someone else and to achieve justice for others. In the end, Michael tells Carlton to hold on to the drawing on his chest because he needs it to live, but Carlton tries to refuse because he believes the drawing should be with Michael. Carlton doesn’t care if he’s dead or alive, he’s satisfied because the child is safe and wants Michael to keep his own drawing. This act of selflessness and determination shows that Carlton is truly a hero. His journey ends after he survives this ordeal, holding Michael’s drawing close to his heart, showing how much he truly cares for his childhood best friend. The Fourth Closet shows Carlton is not only a mature, complex character, but also a selfless hero.
In conclusion, when analyzed in more detail, Carlton is not only a really funny character, but he is also genuine, intelligent, mature, observant, determined, and selfless. People mistake his humor and pranks as immaturity and stupidity, when it is really a way to cover his grief and cheer other people up when they are down. He’s not perfect and has many flaws, but this makes him human. Carlton is a survivor of childhood trauma, kidnapping, physical assault, attempted sexual assault, torture, and attempted murder; however, through all this, he is able to stay the strong, fun-loving boy he always has been while also becoming a true hero in the process, proving he is a character worthy of love, respect, and appreciation.

High School Band AU: Chapter 6
Hope you like this! ^^
“Hey, bro, come here! MC was about to tell me about her first kiss!”
“What… what?”
“What the hell?” Saeran asks, joining you and Saeyoung at the cafeteria table.
“He’s not… he’s not talking serious right now…” you say, trying to avoid both twin’s gaze.
“So you’ve kissed before?” Saeran asks, and it doesn’t look like he’s teasing.
“What? I… this doesn’t have anything to do what I was trying to tell your brother! I was trying to talk about something really weird that happened at Yoosung’s place that night after fisrt rehearsal.”
“Something weird?”
“Yeah, I… no, forget it.”
“What? Noooo, don’t be shy just because Saeran is here, he can make part of our little pact too…”
“What the hell are you talking about, Saeyoung?” you notice as Saeran widens his eyes and gets flustered, just like you did when he came up with this “pact” thing.
“Oh, haven’t you heard, bro? My relationship with MC has evolved enough for us to do a ‘No questions asked’ pact.”
“Relationship?” you ask
“Friendship, whatever. The only thing important here is that something happened at Yoosung’s place, MC needed someone to talk to and came to me, but… she doesn’t want me to ask much, though. So she agreed on a ‘no questions asked’ deal.”
“Of course you did, since you’re stupid enough to do whatever this fool wants!”
“Yeah, for the first time I guess you’re right, this was stupid. It’s just… I didn’t know who to talk to, and this thing has been bothering me a lot, so… desperation got the best of me.”
“Oh, why didn’t you talk to your precious Zenny about it?” Saeran scoffs, and you roll your eyes.
“Because… of something you told me about Rika, Zen and Jumin.”
“I don’t remember doing that.”
“What do you mean? That day in Yoosung’s house when you helped me getting out of that dress.” Saeyoung widens his eyes and looks at his brother.
“Oh my… so many revelations today, what is that about, by the way?”
“No-nothing! I just helped her unzipping that hideous dress you put her on, idiot!” you notice a pale shade of crimson across Saeran’s cheeks. “And you! You… realize you’re not making any sense right now, don’t you?” you groan in annoyance and glare at him.
“Okay, let me make myself clear so this slow brain of yours can follow. You told me Zen and Jumin fighting has something to do with Rika, which was why I thought it wasn’t a good idea talking about it with Zen.”
“Because…?” Saeyoung aks.
“Because… I met Rika at Yoosung’s house and… she was… kinda… weird.”
“Why?” both twins ask at the same time.
“I…” you look at Saeran, embarrassed. Talking with Saeyoung felt right because, despite him being odd, he seems like someone who would listen and try to give you an unbiased opinion, unlike his twin, who had picked on you from the moment you showed up.
“I told you before I’ll always be honest with you because unlike these softies, I won’t spare your stupid little feelings, didn’t I?” Wow, great way to make someone feel comfortable… “So spit it out! You know if the bitch did something to harm you, you have to let us know, right?”
“Oh my god… did she hurt you?” Saeyoung asks with widen eyes.
“No! No, she didn’t… she was… really nice… too nice, actually.”
Time for what? A flashback!
You excuse yourself to try calling your father. As much as Yoosung’s family is adorable and welcoming, just like him, you really need to go home. It’s getting late and you have class tomorrow! How come your dad forgot about this? It’s not like you would like him to be all over you 24/7 like he was a little after your mom left him, but… right now, he’s just a hypocrite calling you out for being irresponsible, when he is the real irresponsible one here! And… your phone not getting any signal is not really making things easy right now!
“I always tell Yoosung this house is kinda like a giant elevator. There’s always no signal here!” she shows up in the hallway and comes towards you. “Let’s get upstairs and I’ll show you the tricks to get some bars there.”
She grabs your hand and drags you upstairs, her blonde waves brushing against your face lightly. Hum… she feels really different from what you remember of that day in the record store… and why is he here? Wasn’t she on tour with Taylor Swift or… Carrie Underwood? Or… ugh… how were those rumors again?
“Here, it always works best here! Try now!” right she was! The signal bars increase in the screen phone.
“Thanks, Rika.”
“You’re welcome, honey!” so so different…
Oh! So your father answered your texts! Last one was a few minutes ago, telling he was coming to get you. Hum… maybe he wasn’t that irresponsible… but he is still pretty hypocrite.
“Who is that? Your bf?”
“Uhm, no. My father.”
“Why isn’t your bf coming to pick you up?”
“Because I don’t have one?”
“Oh… no boyfriend? Hum… that’s too bad…” she pouts and giggles. Okay… “So you must be enjoying a lot this attention from all these guys in the band. Of course, you could enjoy that even having a boyfriend, but… being single you can do it with no guilty, right?”
“I… wouldn’t know. And I don’t get attention, I mean… probably not in the way you’re talking about.” Another giggle.
“You’re really adorable! No wonder V kept talking how perfect you were to be a good understudy for me!” Oh yeah… V…are they still dating even with him in college? Wait, why are you even thinking about this? “He was so impressed with your knowledge on music, your voice, your charisma… and Yoosung looks really impressed too, doesn’t he?”
“You… should ask him that. I wouldn’t know.” you two hear the noise of a horn downstairs. “Oh, it’s my father! I should get going. Bye, Rika.” You try to go, but she blocks your way with one of her arms.
“What would you know, then?” she asks, smirking, then playing with a lock of your hair in her fingers. “I think you know much more than you look. I’m sure there’s a really clever mind behind this cuteness, oh… and this is trouble, isn’t it? Smart, cute and talented, how can those poor guys resist? How can anyone resist?” what… what is happening? Why is she so close?
“MC?” you jump when you hear Yoosung’s voice. “Rika? What are you two doing?”
“Oh, we were just talking about hair. MC said she was thinking about dying her hair to blonde just like mine. What do you think, Yoosungie?” what the hell?
“It would look really great, MC! Rika’s hair color is really beautiful! You would look even cuter!
“Yes, that’s exactly what I told her. Even cuter…” she smirks and takes her arm out of your way. You say a quick goodbye to Yoosung and his family before your father decides to stop horning and starts yelling.
“Wait! What about the kiss?”
“Ugh… I told you there was no kiss, Saeyoung!”
“Ah yeah, usually there isn’t a kiss after the classic tsundere move of blocking the girl’s way with the arm and doing some flirty threats… but let’s have the tsundere himself share his thoughts. What do you think, bro?”
“What are you even talking about, you weirdo? Don’t encourage this crazyhead here with your anime bullshit!”
“Crazyhead?” you glare at him, your voice is louder than you would like.
“Paranoid, narcissistic, you name it. You just have this big complex on thinking everything is about you. There are always guys fighting for you, a girl wanting to kiss you…”
“Which girl wants to kiss you, MC?” the three of you spot Jaehee and Yoosung coming with their trays. You immediately freeze when you see Yoosung.
“There is no girl! She’s just imagining things like she did before when she thought Jumin and Zen were fighting for her.” Saeran scoffs “Like someone was going to be stupid enough to fight for you… or kiss you.”
“You know there’s a big difference between being honest and being an asshole, right?” you say and get off the table, your voice finally reaching the right tone to deal with this jerk.
“That was really mean and unnecessary, Saeran.” Jaehee says coldly.
“Yeah, bro! Too much tsuntsun and too little deredere…” he says, crossing his arms and shaking his head.
“Shut up, Saeyoung.” Jaehee and Saeran say at the same time.
“I’m gonna see if she’s okay, guys.” Yoosung goes after you.
He finds you angrily flipping through your books in your locker room. You look quickly at him and goes back to the books.
“Hey…” he says almost in a whisper. “MC?”
“Yes, Yoosung?” you look at him, he looks almost scared and… worried.
“MC, I… think you should not take things too personal when it comes to Saeran. He… doesn’t think much before talking, but… I don’t think he meant what he said.”
“That’s because you’re too nice and tend to see the best in everybody, Yoosung. With Saeran or…” you were going to say Rika, but why? You’re not even sure if she was flirting or threatening you, like Saeyoung said. “Saeran is a jerk, okay?”
“Well, he’s one of my closest friends and I don’t think he’s as mean as he tries to come across next to you, but… I… I do disagree on him, if you want to know… I-I… think there’s nothing crazy about wanting to fight you… or-or… k-kiss you…” both of you blush with his sudden boldness. “I mean… I think you’re great! And you should think the same about yourself! So don’t mind Saeran too much, okay?” you laugh softly at the way he rubs the back of his head, embarrassed.
“Okay, I’ll try. But just because you’re asking and because you really killed with our little Vanessa Carlton duet. Why don’t you sing more often?”
“Oh, you know… it’s just… we have Zen to steal the spotlight, and I… feel comfortable in the background with the keyboards, the spotlight is for people like… Zen and you…” wow, you’re being compared to Zen now, it’s a really long way after being offended by Saeran in such a little time…
“Tsk, too bad. I think we work really great on a duet. Maybe we would be even better with a song from this decade, you know?” he laughs.
“Oh, we could sing Little Mix one day! That one with Jason Derulo, or… or… Oops with Charlie Puth!”
“Well, you would have to do the whistle part, since I don’t know how…” you look away.
“You don’t know how to whistle?” his bright eyes widen in amusement.
“I don’t!” you pout, and he laughs. “Hey, don’t laugh!”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh at you! Just... just wet your lips and pucker them.”
“W-why?”
“To whistle! You just have to wet your lips and blow some air, with your tongue relaxed, like this.” The sound comes from his mouth effortlessly, which doesn’t happen to you, making you both chuckle “That’s… that’s so cute, MC.”
“There’s nothing cute about being such a dork!” you say dramatically.
“Well, Rika says I’m a cute dork… what do you think?” Oh yeah… Rika… what would it happen if you told him what happened between you two? Would he call you crazy too? Well, considering how much he seems to idolize her, probably… Yoosung is probably the last person you would like to upset with your… craziness?
“I… I wouldn’t know…” you shrug, and he smiles softly, almost like he was waiting for this answer.
“Alright. See you in rehearsal later, MC.” Oh no… did you upset him?
The bell rings and the hallway gets crowded with students running to get to class in time. Well, maybe Saeran is right, you’re crazy. But nobody can convince you that Rika isn’t a little crazy too, not even Yoosung.

It’s ALL that and much more. Underground nightlife scenes will blow your mind and ruin your entire next day (lol). Berlin is so many things wrapped up into one city, and the only way I can adequately describe it is this: it’s anything but mainstream. What’s “in” is actually “out” here. The WWII history and rise/fall of the Wall not only materializes museum after museum but complexities and pieces left for Berliners to pick up. Any attempt to put a label on the city becomes futile because it chooses to be defined by its complexities and contradictions – not by beauty, wealth, or industry. And I absolutely love that.
Population of Berlin: 3.5 million
Language: German
Currency: Euro
Climate: Cold winters, hot summers, mild autumn and spring
Getting Around
Jump Bikes – Highly recommend these electric bikes by Uber…even in a dress
U-Bahn – The underground railway in Berlin is fast, cheap and pretty decent as far as pubic transportation systems go
Uber – Available all over Berlin!
Foodies
Silo Coffee – Ethically sourced specialty coffee house in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with bomb poached eggs and avo toast (above)…however next time I’m ordering the oven baked pancake due to massive food envy from the table next door.
Roamers – Set in the Neukolln neighborhood, this cozy space has a DECADENT chai tea latte and avo toast offering
W-Der Imbiss – In the heavy foot-traffic neighborhood of Mitte lies an Indian food spot that’ll satisfy all of your taste-bud needs. Order the Tasters Menu full of alllll the winners and bask in the naan glory.
POTS – Hands down my favorite dining experience in Berlin because not only was everything in copper pots as seen in the open-concept kitchen but also the food inventions were delicious (think classics with a modern twist) and the staff was crazy memorable. Many thanks to Sommelier and host Mathias Brandweiner for somehow knowing my tastebuds better than, well, me.
Boxhagener Platz Market – On Sundays, go here hungry
Lots of food stalls and clothing stalls to indulge in! I ate my body weight in foreign foods.
Markthalle Neun (Market Hall Nine) – I ADORED this place. What’s not to love about cannoli, ice cream, pizza, empanadas and Trdelník (cinnamon/sugar pastry wrapped around a stick with creme inside) all being served under one roof?! Thursday in Berlin’s Kreuzberg neighborhood stuffing your face with street food. BE THERE. More markets throughout the week as well!
.eic-frame-13274 { width: 1497px; height:1497px; background-color: border: 4px solid }.eic-frame-13274 .eic-image { border: 4px solid }

Biergartens
Cassiopeia – Nightclub by evening but an even better biergarten by day! Berlin is FULL of hidden gems around every corner – which is why lots of walking is required to find said gems (or just keep reading this post). With a rock climbing wall, biergarten and food stalls, I could spend many hours at this repurposed rail station.
Holzmarkt – SO nice we went here twice
This eclectic spot by the river is full of yummy coffee, beer (duh), lively crowds and delicious pizza. Learned here that customers pay a deposit, or Pfand surcharge, to the bar/food stall and can get it back when bottles are returned.
FUN FACT: The German Pfand system was brought into force to ensure that there was a responsible policy in place for the recycling of plastic bottles. It encourages drinks companies to supply their product in multi-use, refillable plastic or glass bottles. These can be refilled up to 25 times for the plastic variety and up to 50 times for glass which reduces the average CO2 emissions per bottle in circulation because fewer new bottles have to be manufactured. The process of washing and sterilizing these bottles is loads more environmentally friendly in terms of CO2 output than the production of single-use bottles.
Klunkerkranich – Sprawling open-air bar on top of a shopping mall garage…bringing new life to rooftop bars
Berlin, you’re so damn cool!
Urban Spree – Sometimes all you need in life is live music, German craft beer and some pretty art to enjoy. Love the vibe here in this multi-faceted, multi-leveled space!
Museums & Memorials
Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe – Also known as the Holocaust Memorial, this space holds 2,711 concrete slabs of varying heights and wavelike in form. There’s a somber mood over the area with a side of uncertainty as the observer wanders through the tall slabs. Don’t miss the underground Rooms for more information from families and victims.
Topography of Terror – It’s strange that this history museum, the former site of both the Gestapo and SS headquarters, was a highlight of Berlin for me. How something entitled “Topography of Terror” where terror is so tangible could possibly make its way to the top of my list is all a bit morbid, but the amount of history and information pouring out of this place in an organized fashion is truly mind-blowing and educational.
Book Burning Memorial – I’d go ahead and assume that many people pass right by this memorial not having a clue what it all means. That, or you come upon a big crowd standing around a glass plate in the ground. The public square of Bebelplatz holds a sunken library with empty white shelves to signify the 20,000 books that went up in flames here on 10 May, 1933 at the hands of the Nazis.
Museum Island (Museumsinsel)- 1 island, 5 museums. Enough said
To-Do
Brandenburg Gate – 18th century monument in the western part of the city and historically a site for major events
Reichstag – With a war-torn past and many restorations later, this stunning building now serves as the German Parliament building
Checkpoint Charlie – Also known as Checkpoint C, this was the best known Berlin Wall crossing point between east and west Berlin. Lots of people are here taking photos of the checkpoint, but if you don’t know what it is exactly, you’ll likely walk right through!
Berlin Fernsehturm – TV tower in the center of Mitte in Berlin allowing spectators to get a 360-view of the entire city
Gendarmenmarkt – A beautiful square in Berlin with rotating markets and concerts showcasing an architectural ensemble with German and French influences
Eastside Gallery – Serving as a massive piece of history, this 4,318 ft. section of the Berlin Wall painted with murals acts as an open-air art gallery
Potsdamer Platz – Modern-day entertainment, shopping and business district with a loaded past as the Berlin Wall went through this area. Easily reached via U-Bahn.
Berlin Cathedral – A main landmark of Berlin, you can’t mistake this stunning dome for anything else! After the division of Germany, the Cathedral was in East Berlin. After many damages in WWII, the full restoration was only completed in 1993, four years after the Berlin Wall fell.
Tiergarten – Berlin’s most popular park coming in at 520 acres. Great spot for a run, some shade or a little peace and quiet.
Mauerpark – If you like flea markets, karaoke and lounging in the park with your friends – look no further. Sundays here are lots of fun, especially if you’re brave enough to belt it out while singing karaoke in front of a few hundred people
Badeschiff – Floating public swimming pool in the Spree River with a bar and views for days. Be prepared for an entry fee and mediocre service.

Sleep
Ritz-Carlton Berlin – A grand marble staircase greeted us as we checked into the property. It’s hard to take your eyes off of it and pairs swimmingly with the recent remodel and art deco theme running throughout. Situated in Potsdamer Platz with a backyard of the Tiergarten, I hiiiighly recommend this gem!

REVIEW: Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Silver Eyes
(The FNAF Novel)
Spoiler FREE Review:
If you’re a fan of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, are interested in the lore of Freddy Fazbear’s, or would like to see what will probably pave the way for the FNAF movie, then give this a read.
It has a few flaws of course, some more glaring than others in my opinion, but for most of them, I’m able to look past it. The story does enough dancing towards what we really want to see to keep my attention until the climax of the book where it gets really awesome. The backstories are interesting enough, and the background information stirs more lore around enough to make it simple yet complicated, as it always has been. You can glean anything from this novel.
Pick this up from your local library if you don’t wanna shell out the bucks. (That’s where I got mine.)
SPOILER Review:
If you’re reading this far, you’ve probably read the novel yourself, or don’t care to read it and just wanna know more.
Writing Style: An easy read, simple and straight forward, great for the inevitable kids that have been reading it. (Sometimes it’s a little too simple at times tho. This is just my nitpick, but I have very strong feelings against descriptive text using the word “sudden” or “suddenly”. I find it glaringly obvious whenever a literary piece uses those.)
Story: The story takes place ten years after the missing children incident at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. It focuses on the survivors from that time who are all now teenagers, and they work together to accidentally put an end to the mysterious case. It’s a good setup for what we need, making sure that our protagonists are not just random teens who go “Lol let’s mess around in a haunted pizza restaurant!” They actually have history and reason being involved, even if they were technically screwing around while doing it. (Teens, amirite??)
Main Character: Charlie (or more formally Charlotte) was not only friends with one of the victims at Freddy’s, but also the daughter of the man who created Freddy’s to begin with. Her father was an artist whose life was dedicated to his work, and was never all there. The reason for his absence is pretty disturbing, but despite all this, Charlie is a completely normal girl. Yeah, someone with that messed up of a backstory and she’s just kind of normal. The idea is she’s supposed to be, she is a main character after all. She’s interesting because of her family and her past and her childhood, but as a teen, she’s not really allowed to be too interesting.
Supporting Protagonists: For the most part, all of these characters are vastly… uninteresting. They’re normal teenagers, all of them. They don’t have too many varying traits and they all for the most part have flat personalities. And there are a lot of them. Including Charlie, there are seven of these main characters. It makes for good buddy system scenes, but otherwise, why are there so many to try and keep track of? After acknowledging how many there were, I said to myself, “My my, what an abundance of underdeveloped characters in a horror setting! I wonder how many will be killed off by the end!” None. None of these characters get axed off during the course of the book. Some get injured a little bit, but none of the teens die. I guess I’m happy for them, but is it wrong I’m a little disappointed?
Antagonist: Awesome. Spoiler warning again, it’s Dave the guard. Spoilers again, Dave is an alias for the infamous William Afton, who was the business head of Freddy’s Entertainment. His backstory is one I find perplexing, as the book describes him as being a hefty man, ten years prior to the current story, while now he’s rather skinny and sickly. Not saying a guy can’t workout over the course of ten years, but that’s a pretty huge detail. Some of the story clues from Five Nights at Freddy’s Sister Location sort of has an explanation for this, as well as why he may be a serial killer, but The Silver Eyes is the alternate universe. It’s up in the air right now what information from the games we can depend on and what we can’t. (I’m getting off track, I love talking about the lore too much.)
Dave is an absolutely delightful villain. His dialogue is always so worth it to read, and his presence is dripping with the sadism we love to imagine him having. He’s deliciously evil and often times giggle worthy, with how he uses a kid’s restaurant as his battle ground and animal costumes as his weapons. Predictably, the amount of silly that his demeanor invokes makes for a pretty fake sounding story to any law enforcement. Serial Killer Pro-Tip: The sillier, the better. (#dontbeaserialkillertho)
The Good: The climax was easily the most interesting and fun part to read, where the screen time (read time?) for Dave really increased and then crap got real. The highlights are easily where the animatronics FINALLY come to life and start going after the main cast, and the part where Charlie straight up knocks Dave out cold, and the crew later tie him up, pour water on his face, and interrogate the guy. MMMM mm, fantastic.
OH ALSO my favorite character, besides William Afton/Dave, is Carlton. He sasses death in the face of death. Good job, Carlton.
The Bad: I wouldn’t say the book took its sweet time getting interesting or anything, I’ve read worse. The chapters begin with a bit of a hook, (HYUK HYUK GET IT??) and then drop into the story of Charlie herself, spending time explaining why she’s meeting up with her old friends first and foremost. The chapters seem to alternate between two things. First, the protagonists and how they have an uncomfortable past with Freddy’s because their friend was a victim, and how no one wants to talk about it. Second, the protagonists talking about the tragic past anyway AND sneaking into the abandoned restaurant and screwing around like teenagers do. It’s a pretty clever way to get the reader into the restaurant really early on, and frequently, for that matter, so props to that. But overall, the scenes outside of the pizza place or outside of Charlie’s childhood home aren’t that gripping. It feels like what it is; teasing the reader with just enough of the restaurant to keep their attention during the long ride to the climax when things get crazy and awesome.
The Ugly: The point of this book is to either expand on the lore or reach farther from it, generating new lore. (Since I assume that the novel is paving a way for the film.) I wouldn’t say this book had a lot of filler, but it still had a lot of vastly unimportant details.
I think the biggest crime this book committed was the scene where Jessica is telling Charlie about some past boyfriend she had. Sure, the story is kind of humorous, but it doesn’t add anything to the universe. Sure, we should know more backstory about our main characters, but honestly? I learned more about Jessica’s ex than I did Jessica in that scene. Unless future books reveal him to be Afton’s son, that was a pretty huge waste of a couple of pages in my opinion. (Disclaimer: I was just joking with last part, omg. But now Sister Location actually has something about Afton's son and I'm really salty about it.)
That’s it. I’m glad I read it. I was starting to lose interest in the FNAF universe, as FNAF4 and Sister Location didn’t light that spark in me as I was hoping. Although The Silver Eyes isn’t the most captivating piece of FNAF lore, it made me redo all my research from all the previous games to try to once again piece everything together. The theories and lore are of course my favorite thing about the franchise. The FNAF novel was the boost I needed to remember my passion for the series.

Reclaimed Crown ~ Part 7
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five Part Six
Author’s Note ~ Hawk Lane is my my second favorite character from the show The Path. i didnlt want to use Cal Robert (my number oen favorite character) because he’s played by Hugh Dancy and I already Use Hugh Dancy as Charlie’s Dad image is from google it wouldn’t post as a gif for some reason
It had been 6 weeks since she was shot and Klaus had ultimately ended up being traine to be a body guard specfically Lucy’s Body Guard for those times whe her brother Declan was doing other things. Charlie had just gotten off from work and they were walking through the park towards a news Stand “Oh dear lord. I told you we should have submitted the engagement to the paper ourselves.” she said as she went through the paper after buying it.
On the front page of the society section taking up the half the Page was the weddign announce with the title
The Holmes Family would like to announce the impending nuptials of their Beloved Lucero Olivia Anastasia Harridge Holmes to Mr. Charles Alexander McDaniel.
After they get back to their flat “You are the only well adjusted female Holmes.” he said with a laugh as he looked at the wedding announcement. he takes her and spins her around and spins her around as Mine by Taylor Swift plays “You are the best thing that’s ever been mine.” he sings
She laughs “Charlie you are so friggin adorable sometimes.” she she says the last word teasingly
“Sometimes? i am damned adorable everyday.” he sad
she laughed “Like when you gave a tour of the morgue to new premed stuudents the other day.”
two days earlier....
As another person started explaining how the lab worked charlie cut in with “basically run by me and i do everything.”
lucy started laughing as Charlie claimed to be hte one who ran the lab “You’re Molly’s Protege dear. at best when she’s on maternity leave you will be cleanign the equipment.” she stood up “Charlie is just trying to break the tension he;s second year medical student and he is debating becoming a forensics expert like Dr. Hooper-Holmes. Who isn’t present at the moment because she’s at doctor’s appointment.” she looked at him “Now let Xavier finish the tour you and i are supposed to be having lunch.”
Xavier smiled “You are hte only Holmes who even bothers to remember my name.”
When they stepped outside they saw Mycroft’s Car “I am taking you out to Lunch.” he stated simply and rolled up the window
They got in his car and she rested her elbow against the window “YOu will not go overboard with my wedding.” she stated
(gif from @lucy-griffiths-love)
Mycroft sat back “Very well. Just remember because of who we are you only limited by your imagination.”
Charlie looked at him “as long as you donlt take over our wedding.” he said “you agreed not to have us watched.”
“I agreed to not have you watche when Lucero has body guard. unfortunately Declan and Klaus are both busy with training so I have someone watching Molly and Lucy. Because Molly is carrying my brother’s child.”
“Lucy, you look a lot better.” Anthea responded
“Thanks Anthea.” she said “are you still single?” she blushed. “sorry that wasn’t....”
She placed her hand on lucy’s kne after puttign her phone down “Sorry i was just checking your dad’s schedule. Because he runs background checks on everyone he tebnds to scare them off.”
Lucy giggled “that kind of made charlie a little paranoid when he first found out about it.” she looked at the two men in her life. her father nad future husband. “Now they get along very welll considering.”
“Considerign the whirl pool of crazy that ios beign a Holmes.”
“I;d be insulted Sharles. if that wasn’t true but i created my own trouble long ago. in the name of protecting others when i was really protecting myself.”
Mycroft rolled his eyes “this wasn’t my idea.”
“surprise engagement party.” Lucy said
Meanwhile at Miranda and Carlton’s House.......
Declan “this idea is insane how do you throw a surprise engagemtn party for one of the smartest people in london.”
“how did you get those stitches in your forehead.”
“thatls kind of embarassing.” declan replied “I was assigned to train Klaus and i hit my head on the car door when we were goign to speedy’s for chips and sandwiches after training.”
Klaus “Running his head into a door is the true statement.”
“Pplease don’t tell them the real reason i hit my head on the door Klaus it is embrassing.” Lucy and charlie enter “Hey the guests of honor are here.”
Lucy “Klaus! Declan!” she hugged them and whispered Klaus “Just ask him out already it so awkward watching you try to pretend you’re not attracted to him.”
Klaus blushes “how did you even know i thhought i was good at hiding it.”
“Dear. I knew you were different when you kised me in Copenhagen. I just never knew what it was until i saw you i nthe same room with my brother. You two deserve to be happy.” she whispered “sometimes all you need for hte net to appear is to take a leap.”
Charlie wrapped his arms around her froom the back and rested his chin on her shoulder did you just encourage your friends to aks your brother on a date.”
“yes I did.”
as hte party got wolling Charlie grabs a video camera “Come on Declan, Lucy shows up your pas des deaux. Klaus doesnlt believe that you came in second in charity dance showcase.” he smiled and kissed her “I love how you want everyone waroudn you to be happy.”
Her phon rings “wait that;s my phone on three people have the number one of them is here.” she looks at her phone. “i will be right back charlie. “Dad, the special phone i was given is ringing we need to go outside now.” She amd mycroft step outsid
1 year ago lucy had been enlisted to assist with an investigation into a a religious group. but it had become obvious that most of the belieers were unaware the leader was putting the group in debt.
“Jarod, you canlt raid the compound you promised you would wait until i was there. No!” she stated she had promised one of the teenagers i nthe compound she would protect his family. “The Lanes are under my protection.” she texts him photos of Hawk Lane and his little sister. “their mother is the second in command to Cal Roberts and doesn’t agree with what he is doing.”
FlashBack somewehre in United States......at a Meyerism Compound
“Hi My name is Lucy.” she had been enlisted to make constact with someone in the group but she had sense something bad was about to happen “Yopu look like you need someone to talk to.”
Hawk looked at her “I need an objective opinion. You must be from out of town what is that accent?”
“i have no idea what to say my accent. I grew up, In Maine, i was taught french by stepfather’s mother and i;ve been living in london with my biiological father for a little over a year.” they spent the next two hours talking “Hawk, I know how it feels to have two sides arguing abour path in life. My uncle wants me to what he does, my father wants me to do what he does. All i know is i enjoy taking pictures and I like to travel. Choose the path that makes you happy your family may not like it but they will accept it.”
While Lucy was undercover at the community sherlock was analizing hte information from Peru. He had already deduced that Eddie Lane was, in fact, telling hte truth when he told Jarod that Steve Meyers jumped off the cliff.
“Mycroft, it would appeard from my on site analysis that the witness in the village didn’t understand what he saw. because he couldnlt see edward lane. my deduction is that he chose his own death rather than being killed by cal roberts or having the cancer kill him slowly.”
Mycroft “Sherlock, no over reaching. work with only what we’ve been told.” thinking to himself that’s exactly what Lucy said when i had her analyze the information a fortnight ago. I believe she has somehow inherited our deductive reasoning.
Sherlock “Okay. are we goign to call Lucy?”
“no. we’ll blow her cover we need to wait for her to call us.”
Present Day......
IN undisclosed locastion neat london “So, LUcy was tellign the truth you Steve stated you cshould have been the chosen one and jumped to his death.” Hawk said to his father “I didnlt want to join the movement. I wanted to date ashley and listen to modern music and be happy.”
He looked over as Lucy walked up “So you were tellign me hte truth but you managed to do withoug telling me everything. Whioch i understabnd.”
“You;ve only been out of highschool for six months. the testing we gave you, shows you are intetlligent enoiugh to catch up. Your dad agrees that you should be allowed to choose your own path.”
“I am genuinely sorry for the incident involving your mother. My deductions didnlt factor in the possibility that she would jump in front of Cal Roberts. she made it through surgery and she should be fine. IN a few months.” Lucy said
Hawk looked at her “Lucy, it is not your fault stop apologizing for it. I was born into the group and you’re right i should choose my own Path. why are those particular level one agents watching me?”
“Declan volunteered because he knew this was my case. and Klaus is here because he’s my bodyguard when my brother is busy.”
“but Declan was there when we met last year.” Eddie looked at Hawk “Declan is your brother.” he said
“How did you figure he was a level one agent. Usually non agents under our protection canlt figure out hte security clearance.” she paused “By the way. i was looking for your ex-girlfriend Ashley and it turns out she qualified for an academic exchange program. She’s at a school in Callais. Once you are ceared to leave the sae house we can take you to Calais if you want to see her.” she hand him a note.
“this is her handwriting.” his mind drifts back to the first time he saw Ashley. “Thank you.”
“Everyone deserves to be loved for who they genuinely are. Charlie loves me in spite of my eccentric and troubled family.”
“I would like to meet Charlie. why isn’t he here.”
“He;s at work and he doesnlt have securty clearance for this safe house. the house i live in with him also Qalifies as a safe house since Klaus is livign there until he finds his own place.” as a holmes she had learned how to find the loopholes in laws. She hands Eddie and Hawk each paper bags “I know you may not be hungry but these are sandwiches from best sandwich shop in london. Below my uncle’s office at 221B Baker street.”
Eddie “thanks, i am kind of hungry. If we are exiles i will need work.”
Lucy “as soon as you ar allowed to leave the Safe House Anthea will take you to 221b Baker Street. if i recall correctly Uncle Shezza’s offsice was trashed again and needs to e rebuilt and your file says you’re a carpenter.”
Two Weeks Later “Damn it looks like a bomb went off in this place.”
“You’re probably not too far off on that one Mr. Lane. this place has been bombed three times if i remember correctly. Sherlock makes quite few enemies in his line of work.” she paused “Once you have estimated the ammount of work. My father will be glad to get you the supplies you require and if you need any sandwiches or place to rest. Mrs. Hudson. the owner of this place is under them.”
“No need ot pay me, You and your family have done so much for me and mine already.” eddie said as he popped a buite of food in his mouth. “why is your uncle not here?”
“Because he and his wife and daughter have a house near scotland yard.”
it woudl take two months to rebuild the flat.... “Good job, Mister Lane. If you want o go back to the states you are welcomed to. and lucero is sorry she couldnlt be here. she and her future husband are tasting cake samples.”
“Just call me Eddie. Lucy is quite the remarkable Young Woman.”
“You don’;t need to tell me that. She is my Sister.” Declan Said he checks his Phone and finds he receved a text from Lucy... Star Child is out wandering the city. Find him before Charlie sees him!!
To Be Continued......
