He feels traces of his alternate selves. Following their feet’s like one would explore with a black light on the same path made by a thousand different steps. And the deeper he traverses the more familiar darkness he finds himself submerged. But he must know. JAYCE. What does it mean when Viktor says that word?

-Jayce finds the axolotl/salamanders in the trenches. Basically. He makes friends with the death’s pits food supply. Having no idea what the writing on the walls means or why these lizards can only be found here. ——

Jayce’s birthday is tomorrow!!

Sometimes flying through a chasm is more fun than flying over it :) Just be careful to stay above the mists!

I want to get more comfortable with color and carving out forms without relying on lines. There's nothing wrong with drawing, of course, but practicing painting is definitely beneficial.

Suspense

Felt the need to draw a bridge, which turned into a suspension bridge over a ravine, and into a scene with the gang. With Lou Toque being hesitant to cross it. Like the colors i ended up with.

i was thinking to myself, what would be the ideal outcome imo from chasm: curse of kaine. i want the brothers to be together again, because ben reilly stories just aren't complete without kaine. and it would make a very mirrored bookend if this time, they were on the run - but instead of kaine hunting ben, kaine was trying to take care of ben... and get his head back on right.

(this was very inspired by the ending of @traincat's roadtrip fic, but also kinost13dp's art)
