I know this was freaking months ago but I don’t care!!!!

I need a Check Please show in my life, it could be live action or animated I really don’t care (although animation generally has more merits). I need to see Bitty’s vlogs, Hockey Shit with Ransom and Holster, a more fleshed out Samwell, random plot lines featuring random side characters, a Halloween special every year so we can see Jenny and Mandy (and also Shitty’s Year 1 Wrecking Ball costume), I need Halo to bookend Year 2, I need the Falconers in my life ALL OF THEM: Marty and Thirdy being hot as heck (Suzanne I totally get it), Snowy always being injured, Tater being Tater, George being the coolest, Poots being hilariously inept, and just Guy. I need the Waffles, I need Ford, I need to see the 2013-2017 college era be represented despite being too young to appreciate it, I need the show to have tons of funny in jokes only the people who religiously read the tweets and extras would know, I need Johnson, I just need more out of this beautiful offshoot of the Hockey obsession gained by a fan girl who just graduated college and wrote a “dark” screenplay about some gay dude named Hardy.

Ye I don’t know where this was going either.

the thing about the check please tv show is that it has to take place in 2013. i don’t want anyone trying to modernize any aspect of it. most importantly i need ransom’s first line in the series to be “bro :3 is like guaranteed pussy”

The problem with an omgcp live adaptation is that Beyonce's music is so incredibly sacred to the storyline, that if they didn't get the rights to play "Halo" during the zimbits kiss, the entire fandom would denounce the show entirely and we wouldn't get anything else

fantasy casting OMGCP, using only hockey players (NHL & NWHL) part 2

Ollie- they play the same position, I think they look vaguely similar, and mostly, he is such a frat-boy looking human, you can't say that Mitch Marner doesn't look like he'd fit right in at Das Haus.

Wicks - Ollie's other half! He also plays wing. Another "he could pass as just Some Frat Boy" pick... meet Mikko Rantanen

Connor Whisk- I think I'm funny and that's the whole justification I have for picking Nathan MacKinnon to play Whiskey (yes I'm echoing the mackinnon/Crosby narrative with my casting SHHHHHH)

River Bullard - a THIRD smile-based pick... Andrei Svetchnikov (with a wig)

Lukas Landmann - they're both Young, I think they're both wingers (?) aND they're both blonde!! A win all the way around! Meet Kaapo Kakko!

Alexei "Tater" Mashkov - I'm not kidding when I say this is 100% based on their noses and camera/media personalities.... Evgeni Malkin!

Georgia "George" Martin - Sarah Nurse, who played the same position George did! Yes this is 99% of the reason I chose her. Also she does kind of look like George which is super cool

Kent Parson- okay yeah they do actually look kind of similar (so long as he doesn't have his beard), Gabriel Landeskog and Parse are both blonde wingers!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE HAVE.....

Bad Bob Zimmermann- not only am I connecting my fantasy casting narratives YET AGAIN, I am also legitimately convinced they look alike. Also, unlike the man I cast for his son, Mario Lemieux's first language is actually French!

That concludes part two, but if you want, for some reason, to see me cast more people, drop character names into my DMs or asks and More Shall Occur!!

ideal check please tv show structure is four 20-23 episode seasons with each season as a year and each episode having like a central theme from an update/one of bitty’s blogs with that as the a plot and the b and c plots of extra content that we didn’t get to see in the comic

biggest flaw about a live action check please tv show is the whole pupils/no pupils thing. because like you could just ignore it and everyone has regular eyes but how would we know that jack is special!!! but also i feel like it’s be weird if everyone else didn’t have pupils... idk

i know when the first season of the tv show comes out it will be a minefield amongst non comic readers. fights for my life defending jack zimmermann. Why it’s problematic to ship jack with bitty twitter threads. “how are you gonna claim it’s good representation with only one cannon queer character” hot takes. we will be in the trenches

the absolute chaos this would bring is unfathomable. I don’t even think he’d have to act all that much, he’s the perfect mix of cringe and sex appeal that’s very on brand for holster. added insanity due to the fact that yung gravy is literally 6’7
