The Real Steel Battle Couple being Soft

I love these two so much; they are so underrated. They had less then 10 minutes together in G1 but every second of it was great.

Random Headcanons:

The two met when the some of the younger members of Cybertron Intelligence went out for drinks, being introduced by their mutual acquaintance, Longarm, who promptly left afterwords, saying he had a “matter of grave importance” to discuss with Highbrow (Because Shockwave playing cupid and arranging a "meetcute" for them to keep Chromia distracted so he can turnaround and offline Highbrow Prime is honestly the funniest thing to me)

Ironhide fell first, instantly smitten with the well-spoken but sharp-tongued fem who has no tolerance for other’s shitty behavior, but Chromia fell harder, endeared by his polite “southern charm” and his readiness to lend a servo or an audial

Despite only officially courting eachother for a few centuries, they are engaged and living together. It’s all very scandalous

Neither particularly care

Ironhide is a cuddlebug and will take any chance to hold Chromia he can get

Chromia pretends to hate it while very clearly thriving on the physical affection

Extremely professional with one another until they are off the clock as a rule of thumb, though there are some notable exceptions

They were caught one time being intimate at the work place where they really shouldn’t have been, but Blurr owed Chromia a favor (and genuinely liked her as one of his few competent coworkers) so he let it slide

while Ironhide has a dozen and one pet names for her (sweetspark, Bluebell, Baby Blue,Chromy, Mia-my-love (said as one word), etc), Chromia calls him exclusively by his full name or Heidi when they are alone

Oohh how are Chromia and Ironhide doing, do they know where their daughter is or how is she, like they trust her but they still worry about her?

This one is tough, as I haven't yet expanded on Ironhide and Chromia's story.

What I can tell you that Chromia and Ironhide I plan were on different ships during the time of the Great Exodus, but neither hopped on the Ark proper. After that, for the majority of the civil war both Chromia and Ironhide were posted on various worlds, mostly to back up allies, but in the modern time, Chromia is the only one I can confirm alive, while I decide on what to do with Ironhide for the time being.

They both worry about their "darlin' Aerial" becoming... someone else. Elita-1 outside of combat and command still has a lot of that energy of a girl who had big dreams and wanted to be a singer.

Commander and Guardian of Cybertron Elita-1 on the other hand feels like a completely different, an aggressive young woman who leaps into battle who can belt out orders that scares the bolts of 'bots three times her size.

I wasn’t much fond of Chromia at first, but after seeing her development along the story, I started to like her slightly more. What still bothers me is her radical and terrorist tendencies, but she’s okay… Her interactions with Ironhide are the best! They were cute in G1, and in IDW wasn’t different. XD It’s always refreshing seeing them interacting. I like them a lot! :D

“You’re staring,” he simply had to address this. Especially since subtlety was rarely Hot Rod’s forte.

“Nuh uh,” Hot Rod however persisted.

“Uh, yuh uh.”

“Where did you even learn that from?”

“The best,” underneath his mask, Soundwave cracked a smile. Still, he had to stand his ground firmly, “Hot Rod. My dear. Stop staring.”

“Well, I can’t do it, until you tell me what you’re up to,” Hot Rod scoffed playfully, crossing his arms right on the flames at his chest. Oh, he could stare at those flames forever.

“Why do I have to be up to something?”

“Oh, I know you well enough to know when you’re up to something. You keep changing your tracks, doing everything for me, you’re looking at Laserbeak the way you always do when you’re spark sharing,” he started counting on his digits, as nonchalantly as possible. Then he got closer to Soundwave, his brow ridges rising, “C’mon, ‘Waves. No way you’d get it past me.”

Son of unicron AU

Ok, I don't know when you're going to respond, but here's my confession:

When I found out that you made Optimus and Prowl brothers I had been introduced to the topic "Tfp Optimus was a gremling when sparklings" a while ago

I genuinely imagined ironhide and chromia looking at the two of them, still protoforms, fighting like kittens

Wonderful AU, in which Prowl and Orion get adopted very early and as bean babies to happy married ChromeHide, they would definitely be the feral kitten siblings.

Prowl would act dignified and calm but would definitely still bite his brother in arguments as adults if he got pushed, and Optimus would sit on him or put him on top of something high he couldn't get down from.

Also, a big proponent of the TFP Orion Pax is a gremlin theory.

damn again it's gotta be Timothy Lawrence, u know? going inside his head and writing how he would react to certain things in life and how he would embrace the world and heal is so important to me. it's always a delight to write him and his turbulent thoughts

I know I've written him far less but also I have to mention Soundwave! god, writing him is suuuuch a pleasure to go with, I swear. there's so much to his character from his own preconcieved notions abt himself and fighting with emotions that he wants to keep hidden. as well as his loyalty and his putting others and the cause before himself AH he's perfect I swear

other than that I do enjoy writing characters with very unique talking quirks! they're so fun to get right, it's almost as if the text is jumping at u hehe

my very next fic is a gift for my dear friend Ryz (Ryz, if ure reading this hi :3) so unfortunately I cannot spoil anything abt this for them!

my next next fic is most likely chapter 2 of Third Time's The Charm and I gotta tell u that tag I put there abt discussions of depression? this will be surely apparent in this one. exploring Norma as a character more and more had been a very interesting task. Once-ler takes a lil bit of a backseat in this fic but I want his optimistic personality to shine through here so despite Norma being the sun and Once-ler being the moon, this fic will be a reversal and it'll be very apparent in this chapter!

later on dang, the sky is the limit honestly. I love having fic plans but they always can change lol I sooo wanna write an Earthspark-verse fic for Soundwave & Starscream bc they're bffs. and I have a fic + art collab with my friend coming up! not saying anything else but it'll be SoundRod <3 and then I truly have too many ideas to count. I wanna write a new Windstream fic, a Deadceptor fic, Blurr/Smokescreen, Chromehide family (I was just thinking of them today aaaa), maybe MegOPlita and abt a thousand of SoundRod ideas. truly the sky is the limit :D
