How Anxiety Treatment Programs Benefit Those with Co-Occurring Disorders
Anxiety treatment programs are vital for individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety and substance use. These programs address both the emotional and physical aspects of recovery, providing patients with effective tools to manage anxiety and reduce dependence on substances.
Mental health disorder treatment programs are designed to target the root causes of both mental health issues and addiction, ensuring that individuals are treated holistically. When combined with addiction treatment programs, these programs create a robust, integrated recovery plan, improving outcomes and supporting long-term stability.

A Mother's Pain
Stephanie Marquesano will join me at 1 am on talkradio@77WABCradio, just one hour into the new year. Her son Harris...a High School Soccer Star was dead at 19. #AnxietyDisorder and #ADHD as a child. Self-medicated with #marijuana. He started with #pills at a party in the 11th grade. If you think this can't happen to your family, think AGAIN. Harris was from an affluent family.....and the affluent community of Westchester County, NY. Mrs. Marquesano has decided to fight back. She started the Harris Project which is now going national to help young people who often don't even know the full extent of their mental health problem, and then start self-medicating with #drugs and #alcohol. It can, and often does lead to an accidental death.....but certainly years of addiction. Join me at 1 am this morning. You can listen to Mrs. Maquesano from around the country and the world at www.wabcradio.com.

Dual Diagnosis Addiction Treatment Centers - Aloha Detox
Dual diagnosis describes someone battling a mental illness as well as an addiction. This means someone could be using alcohol or drugs to cope with conditions like anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or sadness. We, at Aloha Detox, understand how difficult detoxing can be, and we want to help you manage both issues in a safe and supportive manner.
What is dual diagnosis?
When a person has both a mental health condition and a substance abuse problem, dual diagnosis — also known as co-occurring disorders — is the outcome. These two problems sometimes exacerbate one another. For instance:
Someone with anxiety may drink alcohol to chill out.
Someone with depression might use medicines to feel better.
PTSD can cause a person to use drugs to avoid upsetting recollections.
Using alcohol or drugs only worsens the mental health problems over time. Thus, treating both at the same time is rather crucial.
How Aloha Detox Supports Dual Diagnosis
One of the reputable dual diagnosis addiction treatment facilities in the United States is Aloha Detox. Our programs are made to treat your body and mind together rather than independently.
We provide:
Mental Health Aid
Our staff consists of licensed therapists and counselors who are trained to handle mental health concerns, including:
Dreadfulness, Depression, PTSD or trauma, Bipolar disorder, mood swings and emotional issues.
2. Safe Medical Detoxification
We offer medically monitored detox to enable you to quit using alcohol or drugs securely and pleasantly. Before beginning mental health treatment, this step is essential.
3. Group and individual counseling
We assist you using evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT):
Recognize your thoughts and emotions.
Learn how to handle things constructively.
Develop more effective emotional regulation.
One-on-one therapy with a therapist or group meetings will allow you to feel supported and understood.
Why Choose Aloha Detox?
Although there are many addiction treatment centers, not all are qualified to deal with dual diagnosis. Because one impacts the other, at Aloha Detox, we address both the addiction side and the mental health side.
Here’s why people choose us:
Each individual receives a customized treatment plan from us.
Our team is compassionate, experienced, and always prepared to listen.
We offer inpatient and outpatient services, allowing you to recover at your speed.
Most insurance companies help us to make care reasonably priced.
You are not alone
Having a dual diagnosis doesn’t mean you are broken. It just means you need the correct kind of assistance. At Aloha Detox, we see the whole person, not just the issue. Whether you or someone you care about is fighting mental health and addiction, we are here to help your recovery at every turn.
Start your healing today with Aloha Detox, where genuine recovery starts.

What is a co-occurring condition? What Are Co-Occurring Disorders? People who have substance use disorders, as well as mental health disorders, are diagnosed as having co-occurring disorders, or dual disorders. This is also sometimes called a Dual Diagnosis.
It is important to determine if an individual struggling with substance addiction has more than one diagnosis. The reason is short and simple – without having multiple diagnoses recognized and treated, the individual will likely go through the whole process of rehab with the underlying condition which has contributed to the disease of addiction still in place. This substantially increases the possibility of relapse.
If you or a loved one is in need of Addiction Treatment, Florida Center For Recovery offers comprehensive therapeutic programs to treat substance use disorders and its underlying related mental health conditions.

Compassionate self-observation helps us notice patterns in our mood and identify which circumstances and situations trigger predictable emotions. We may discover, for example, that a gloomy rainy day correlates with lethargy and depression. The fatigue and sadness feel less consuming when we are aware of what may be causing them, and we may even learn to anticipate our moods based on imminent triggers, taking extra good care of ourselves when we know we are vulnerable. #yeahthatgreenville #endthestigma #cooccurringdisorders #mentalhealthawareness
