The 7 Stages of Contract Lifecycle Management Process
Contracts vary infinitely in types, complexity, length, and terms, right from basic contracts like employment agreements, vendor-supplier agreements, and licensing agreements to critical documents like partnership agreements, bill of sale, procurement contracts, and so on. Managing contracts is a humongous task for organizations. Imagine the efforts put in by a contract management executive, who has to coordinate with multiple departments, create and review contracts, identify opportunities to improve business processes, and provide guidance to teams for contract generation. Besides the biggest daily work responsibility is to - oversee the entire contract lifecycle. Note that contract lifecycle management is different from contract management, though both the terms sound the same.
Contract Management vs Contract Lifecycle Management
As the name suggests, contract management is about managing the A-Z things of contracts, right from drafting, and negotiating to renewals. Contract managers ensure all the contracts are up to date, the deadlines are not missed, and compliance and security policies are taken care of, among other tasks. Whereas contract lifecycle management is all about implementing technology to automate the entire contract lifecycle process. It aims to derive maximum efficiency from a strategic combination of people and technology. Contract lifecycle management eases the complex process, increases accuracy, and improves collaboration, not to mention cost savings.

Understanding the Top 5 Cybersecurity Laws in the US!
There are several laws that indirectly or directly govern the various cyber security measures for any of the businesses. Knowing these laws allows companies to maintain their security and reputations, avoid costly lawsuits, and minimize unnecessary downtime. However, having only legal compliance is not sufficient to secure your company. Companies need to do much more to put themselves in a situation and establish adequate security measures.
That being said, these laws set by the government are necessary for all businesses, whether small, medium, or large. Companies with no security measures are the easiest target. Unfortunately, small businesses are also unable to stand against a big cyberattack and its financial aftereffects because they may not have sufficient resources and time to invest in cybersecurity.

Moreover, companies that deal in healthcare and collect sensitive information about people are required to ensure proper cybersecurity and adhere to government regulations. Therefore, in this post, we’ll provide an overview of US cyber security laws that every company and individual should know about to defend themselves against cyber attacks and how to manage their fallout.
Cybersecurity Regulations That You Need to Follow
There is no single cybersecurity place in the US; thus, companies need to find the category they fall under depending on the number of criteria. This may include the state in which they are operating, the type of data they may handle, if they run an international business, or if their data is stored in some other country.
Below is a brief list of the regulations that companies need to know to check for cybersecurity compliance.
1. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
The Gram-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB Act or GLBA) is also called the Financial Modernization Act of 1999. The purpose of the rule was to permit financial institutions and their subsidiaries to protect the confidentiality of personally identifiable information(PII) collected from customer records in documents, electronic records, or any other form. The law mandates companies to comply with stringent policies that manage data security.
As per this law, financial institutions are responsible for protecting their customer's privacy and security of sensitive information against unauthorized access.
To make your company GLBA compliant, you need to develop privacy practices and policies that detail how you collect, manage, sell, share, and reuse customer information. You also need to provide alternative options for customers to decide which information a company can keep for future use.
GLB act is only applied to any non-public companies that process the data provided by the customers to facilitate the transaction or collect it from the institution.
2. Homeland Security Act and FISMA
The Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) is the United States legislation that describes a structure of policies and safety standards to protect national information technology processes from cyberattacks. This risk management framework was signed into law in 2002 but was amended in 2014.
According to FISMA, federal agencies and other organizations are required to create, record, and execute agency-wide information security programs. These programs are designed to protect sensitive and personal information. The act also explains the accountability of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
In the 2014 amended version of the FISMA, OMB and the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency share oversight of the cybersecurity program.
3. Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act
The act allows United States government agencies and nongovernment companies to share information to analyze cyberattacks. Sharing of the information is optional for engaging institutions outside the government.
As of 2024, CISA was legislated to improve the collaboration between the government and private sector to tackle the cyber attack jointly.
4. The Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act of 2022
In 2022, the Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act (CIRCIA) was passed by President Biden to improve US cybersecurity. According to this law, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) was directed to develop and execute regulations requiring protected organizations to register covered cyber incidents and payment because of ransomware. These reports also allowed CISA to assist the victims suffering attacks and quickly share information to stop such digital assaults.
5. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
HIPAA is the US law that provides guidelines to protect data privacy and security provisions to protect medical information. Apart from this, HIPAA also has two other purposes: to provide continuous health insurance coverage for workers who lost their jobs to reduce the cost of healthcare. Other goals include battling against misuse, fraud, and waste in healthcare insurance.
Conclusion
Going through these United States cybersecurity laws, it is evident that the government is working to introduce strict laws to help organizations safeguard their confidential information from the latest cyber threats. However, cyber attacks still occur despite all the efforts.
Therefore, organizations should take proactive steps to secure their data and software. Cybercriminals are always active and improving their approach. For some reason, organizations should regularly check their system to recognize vulnerabilities and address the flaws instantly.

Finally got around to finishing this houugh... it was a lot of work but I really like the end result!! Naturally, I'll try my best to list some of the thoughts I have in mind for these guys below. Long post ahead!
These lizards are intended to be ALMOST fully arthropod-like but due to my lack of understanding of bug anatomy and creative liberties, they are in that gray spec bio area so don't take any inconsistencies too seriously (or rather, fuck logic, and accept them how I describe them regardless)
Inspirations: - my lesser detailed lizard design - my friend's slugcats - wasps for the head contours, various insects for the exoskeleton guidelines, caterpillars, various stylistic slugcats across the #rainworld tag - the burning need for something more detailed and cool in my drawing vocabulary
The actual meat of the post; extra facts: - Lizards are related to slugcats (in my au, if you wanna call it that?) or at least the very early version of them. This idea is borrowed from this post and in my au, lizards evolve a similar tail to a slugcat's to aid in propelling themselves through tight spaces, acting as a 5th limb. - Similar to my old vulture post, lizards share a similar lifecycle. The majority of the larval stage is spent underground and in tight spots, far from their main predator. Lizard larva will undergo pupation similar to how beetles do, leaving behind broken cavities in pipes where carnivorous plants favor to take root. Additionally to the vulture's terrible parental drive, they often mistake their own larva for lizard hatchlings. - A lizard's skin is leathery and retains moisture for quite a while. Some lizards have a thicker layered mantle than others, allowing them to take punctures to the abdomen and still recover. - Not pictured, but will be described, are a few outliers to the standard lizard body plan. Caramels have muscular hind legs akin to a grasshopper but this means their legs cannot slot together and thus they have a wider leg splay than other species. Eels and salamanders are not lizards but lizard mimics. Yellow lizards' antennae attach to a hump on the snout rather than the rear of the head as seen here. Cyan lizards' mantles are more square shaped due to their leap drums on either side of their bodies and have a 3rd mantle that runs the length of their tail and caps the tailtip. - Cyan lizard's organs are called leap drums and act similarly to our lungs. They are a ring of muscle which contracts and acts as a spring loaded mechanism to propel the creature via combustion through a mysterious chemical process. Because the color of debris left behind during a leap share the same color as the lizard, perhaps they are discarded scales, formerly in place to protect the cavities housing the explosion. - They have similar organs to vertebrates within their abdomen, probably surrounded by cartilage. (not that important, I haven't thought that much about this) - (More may be added later as I remember)

Round 2.5 - Cnidaria - Scyphozoa

(Sources - 1, 2, 3, 4)
Scyphozoa is a marine class of cnidarians commonly referred to as “true jellyfish”, “jellyfish”, or simply “jellies”. They are composed of three living orders: Coronatae (“Crown Jellies”), Rhizostomeae (“Root-mouth Jellies”), Semaeostomeae (“Flag-mouth Jellies”).
Scyphozoans usually display a four-part symmetry and have an internal gelatinous material called mesoglea, consisting of as much as 98% water. A ring of muscle fibres within the mesoglea surrounds the rim of the dome, and the jellyfish swims by alternately contracting and relaxing these muscles. As medusae, they eat a variety of crustaceans and fish, which they capture using stinging cells called nematocysts. The nematocysts are located throughout the tentacles that radiate downward from the edge of the umbrella dome, and also cover the four or eight oral arms that hang down from the central mouth. Some species, however, are instead filter feeders, using their tentacles to strain plankton from the water. The mouth opens into a central stomach, from which four interconnected diverticula radiate outwards. Some genera also have smaller mouths in the oral arms. The lining of the digestive system includes further stinging nematocysts, along with cells that secrete digestive enzymes. The nervous system usually consists of a distributed net of cells, although some species possess more organised nerve rings. Some species also have pigment-cup ocelli, though they are not as advanced as Cubozoan eyes. Coronataens (ex: image 2) are characterized by a deep groove running around the umbrella, giving them the crown shape which gives them their name. Rhizostomeans (ex: image 1 and 3) do not have tentacles nor other structures branching off from the edges of the bell. Instead, they have eight highly branched oral arms which fuse together as they approach the central mouth of the jellyfish. Semaeostomeaens (ex: image 4 and gif below) have four long, frilly oral arms flanking their quadrate mouths, as well as tentacles.
Most species of Scyphozoa have two life-history phases, including the planktonic medusa or polyp form, and the inconspicuous, but longer-lived, bottom-dwelling polyp, which seasonally gives rise to new medusae. Most species appear to be gonochorists, with separate male and female individuals. The gonads are located in the stomach lining, and the mature gametes are expelled through the mouth. After fertilization, some species brood their young in pouches on the oral arms, but they are more commonly planktonic. The fertilized egg produces a planular larva which, in most species, quickly attaches itself to the sea bottom. The larva develops into the hydroid stage of the lifecycle, a tiny sessile polyp called a scyphistoma. The scyphistoma reproduces asexually, producing similar polyps by budding, and then either transforming into a medusa, or budding several medusae off from its upper surface via a process called strobilation. The medusae are initially microscopic and may take years to reach sexual maturity.
Scyphozoans have existed since the Early Cambrian.
Propaganda under the cut:
The Lion’s Mane Jelly (Cyanea capillata) is one of the largest jellyfish, with the largest recorded specimen having a bell width of 210 cm (7 ft) and tentacles around 36.6 m (120 ft) long.
Jellyfish of the order Rhizostomeae are considered edible, both as a delicacy and for use in traditional medicine, and are eaten mainly in Asia, typically dried and/or salted.
The giant Nomura's Jellyfish (Nemopilema nomurai) can reach similar sizes to the Lion’s Mane Jellyfish, and their large size and quantity often negatively affects fisheries in East Asia. Aside from humans, their only predators are swordfish, tuna, sunfish, and leatherback sea turtles. A decrease in predators and an increase in favorable conditions and warming seas have caused an explosion in population, displaying that an increase in animal populations is not always a good sign! Scientists are studying their venom for use in medical applications, such as for treating joint disease and in cancer research. The Japanese company Tango Jersey Dairy also produces a vanilla and jellyfish ice cream using Nomura's Jellyfish.
While most jellies are exclusively marine, the Bay Nettle (Chrysaora chesapeakei) ventures into the Chesapeake Bay’s brackish water all the way up into the freshwater of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
The Giant Phantom Jelly (Stygiomedusa gigantea) is a deep sea jellyfish that is rarely seen, with only around 110 sightings in 110 years. It thought to be one of the largest invertebrate predators of the ocean's midnight zone and twilight zone, with an umbrella-shaped bell that can grow up to 1 m (3.3 ft) in diameter and paddle-like arms that can grow up to 10 m (33 ft) in length. The bell's pliant tissue allows for the jellyfish to stretch 4 to 5 times its size, presumably to engulf their prey. They do not have any stinging tentacles and instead use their arms to trap and engulf their prey which consists of plankton and small fish. The Giant Phantom Jelly has a symbiotic relationship with the Pelagic Brotula (Thalassobathia pelagica), for which it provides food and shelter beneath its massive billowing bell, while the fish aids the jelly by removing parasites.
The Mauve Stinger (Pelagia noctiluca) is a fairly small purple jellyfish that is able to glow in the dark (bioluminesce). Light is emitted in the form of flashes when the medusa is stimulated by turbulence created by waves or by a ship's motion. Unusually among cnidarians, Mauve Stingers are able to consume phytoplankton, alongside copepods and other usual planktonic fare.
The Moon Jelly (Aurelia aurita) (see gif above) is gaining popularity in aquarium touchtanks as they lack long tentacles and their sting has little to no affect on humans. They are also one of the longer-lived jellyfish, living up to two years in their medusa form, and are easy to rear and feed, making them a good candidate for giving humans an up-close learning experience with jellies.
Fun fact: my dad let me watch The Sphere (1998) when I was 7 and it gave me Scyphophobia, a fear of jellyfish, that lasted for several years. I knew the behavior of the jellyfish as depicted in the movie wasn’t real, but I still wouldn’t enter the ocean for the next 5 years, and when I did start entering the ocean again every time I saw a jellyfish I would get out and not go back in again for another full year. It took a touch tank and several positive experiences with some moon jellies to get over my fear, and now I would say I’m fully recovered!

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is paying software company Palantir $30 million to provide the agency with “near real-time visibility” on people self-deporting from the United States, according to a contract justification published in a federal register on Thursday. The tool would also help ICE choose who to deport, giving special priority to “visa overstays,” the document shows.
Palantir has been an ICE contractor since 2011, but the document published Thursday indicates that Palantir wants to provide brand-new capabilities to ICE. The agency currently does not have any publicly known tools for tracking self-deportation in near real-time. The agency does have a tool for tracking self-reported deportations, but Thursday’s document, which was first reported by Business Insider, does not say to what degree this new tool may rely on self-reported data. ICE also has “insufficient technology” to detect people overstaying their visas, according to the Department of Homeland Security. This is particularly due to challenges in collecting "biographic and biometric" data from departing travelers, especially if they leave over land, according to Customs and Border Protection.
The agency says in the document that these new capabilities will be under a wholly new platform called the Immigration Lifecycle Operating System, or ImmigrationOS. Palantir is expected to provide a prototype of ImmigrationOS by September 25, 2025, and the contract is scheduled to last at least through September 2027. ICE’s update to the contract comes as the Trump administration is demanding that thousands of immigrants “self-deport,” or leave the US voluntarily.
ICE and Palantir did not respond for comment.
According to the document, ImmigrationOS is intended to have three core functions. Its “Targeting and Enforcement Prioritization” capability would streamline the “selection and apprehension operations of illegal aliens.” People prioritized for removal, ICE says, should be “violent criminals,” gang members, and “visa overstays.”
Its “Self-Deportation Tracking” function would have “near real-time visibility into instances of self-deporation,” the document says. The document does not say what data Palantir would use for such a system, but ICE says it aims to “accurately report metrics of alien departures from the United States.” The agency stipulates that this tool should also integrate with “enforcement prioritization systems to inform policy” but does not elaborate on these systems or policies.
Meanwhile, the “Immigration Lifecycle Process” function would streamline the “identification” of aliens and their “removal” from the United States, with the goal of making "deportation logistics” more efficient.
In a “rationale” section, ICE claims that it has an “urgent and compelling” need for ImmigrationOS’s capabilities. Without them, ICE claims, it would be “severely” limited in its ability to target the gangs MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, and abide by President Donald Trump’s executive order to expedite deportations.
Palantir, ICE claims, is “the only source that can provide the required capabilities and prototype of ImmogrationOS [sic] without causing unacceptable delays.” ICE says the company has developed “deep institutional knowledge of the agency’s operations over more than a decade of support.”
“No other vendor could meet these timeframes of having the infrastructure in place to meet this urgent requirement and deliver a prototype in less than six months,” ICE says in the document.
ICE’s document does not specify the data sources Palantir would pull from to power ImmigrationOS. However, it says that Palantir could “configure” the case management system that it has provided to ICE since 2014.
Palantir has done work at various other government agencies as early as 2007. Aside from ICE, it has worked with the US Army, Air Force, Navy, Internal Revenue Service, and Federal Bureau of Investigation. As reported by WIRED, Palantir is currently helping Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) build a brand-new “mega API” at the IRS that could search for records across all the different databases that the agency maintains.
Last week, 404 Media reported that a recent version of Palantir’s case-management system for ICE allows agents to search for people based on “hundreds of different, highly specific categories,” including how a person entered the country, their current legal status, and their country of origin. It also includes a person’s hair and eye color, whether they have scars or tattoos, and their license-plate reader data, which would provide detailed location data about where that person travels by car.
These functionalities have been mentioned in a government privacy assessment published in 2016, and it’s not clear what new information may have been integrated into the case management system over the past four years.
This week’s $30 million award is an addition to an existing Palantir contract penned in 2022, originally worth about $17 million, for work on ICE’s case management system. The agency has increased the value of the contract five times prior to this month; the largest was a $19 million increase in September 2023.
The contract’s ImmigrationOS update was first documented on April 11 in a government-run database tracking federal spending. The entry had a 248-character description of the change. The five-page document ICE published Thursday, meanwhile, has a more detailed description of Palantir’s expected services for the agency.
The contract update comes as the Trump administration deputizes ICE and other government agencies to drastically escalate the tactics and scale of deportations from the US. In recent weeks, immigration authorities have arrested and detained people with student visas and green cards, and deported at least 238 people to a brutal megaprison in El Salvador, some of whom have not been able to speak with a lawyer or have due process.
As part of its efforts to push people to self-deport, DHS in late March revoked the temporary parole of more than half a million people and demanded that they self-deport in about a month, despite having been granted authorization to live in the US after fleeing dangerous or unstable situations in Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela under the so-called “CHNV parole programs.”
Last week, the Social Security Administration listed more than 6,000 of these people as dead, a tactic meant to end their financial lives. DHS, meanwhile, sent emails to an unknown number of people declaring that their parole had been revoked and demanding that they self-deport. Several US citizens, including immigration attorneys, received the email.
On Monday, a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s move to revoke people’s authorization to live in the US under the CHNV programs. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt called the judge’s ruling “rogue.”

Last week on Wet Beast Wednesday I covered some of the biggest animals ever so this week I'm going to do a complete 180 and talk about the smallest animals in this series so far. Not so small as to be micro-animals (I'm sure I'll get to tardigrades eventually) but pretty small. Meet the hydra, a genus of freshwater cnidarians that can be found in temperate and tropical water worldwide. There's a lot of neat stuff about these tiny critters. Such as the fact that they're immortal, but we'll get to that in good time.
(image id: several hydras attached to a rock. Each hydra is a long, anrrow tube that branches at the top into 4 or more thin tentacles. They are milky-white in color. Source: Jan Hamrsky)
Hydras are visually similar to tiny anemones, but they're more closely related to siphonophores and jellyfish. Their bodies are pretty simple, consisting of a tubular body. On one end of the body is the basal disc, a simple foot that adheres to substrate. On the other end of the tube is the mouth, which leads into the gut. Ringing the mouth are tentacles that are covered in stinging cells. The gut is pretty simple and like other cnidarians, it doesn't go all the way through. That's right, when a hydra poops it comes out the same way it went in. A typical hydra consists of 50,000 to 100,000 cells and I hope for their sake that none of them are used for taste. Hydras are diploblastic, consisting of two layers of cells. For comparison, all vertebrates are triploblasts, with three cell layers. The hydra's layers are the epidermis on the outside and the gastrodermis making up the gut. Separating the layers is a gelatinous matrix called the mesoglea that functions as a hydrostatic skeleton. Hydras can contract their bodies and will do so if disturbed. When fully extended, they reach no longer than 10 mm (0.4 in). Hydras are in the cnidarian subphylum medusozoa. Other animals in this subphylum go through two stages of their lifecycle, a polyp that attaches to some substrate and a free-swimming medusa. In most, the polyp is a larval stage that will metamorphose into a medusa during maturation. Hydras instead stay as polyps their entire life. This could be a form of neoteny, the retention of juvenile traits into adulthood. Like other cnidarians, hydras are radially symmetrical. What is most impressive about hydras are their regenerative abilities.
(image id: a drawn diagram of a cross-section of a hydra with labeled anatomical features. source)
Hydras are masters of regeneration. It is this trait that earned them their name, a reference to the hydra of Greek mythology, who would grow two new heads whenever one was severed. Chop a hydra in half and each will grow into a new hydra. Chop a hydra into many pieces and you will get many hydras. Their regeneration is so impressive that if you chop one up into many cells and put them next to each other, the cells will reassemble themselves back into the original hydra. Similarly, hydras primarily reproduce asexually through budding, where one hydra will grow a new hydra out of its body. The daughter hydra will eventually split off from the parent and go on to live independently (unlike certain people I knew in high school). The daughter hydra is a genetic clone of the parent. A hydra living in good conditions can make a new clone every few days. In some species, sexual reproduction is also possible and usually only done when conditions are poor. Depending on the species, individuals can be either hermaphrodites or dioecious (either male or female). Gametes are released into the water to fertilize. Imagine if you wanted to make a baby and to do so you took a handfull of sperm or eggs and threw them all over the place, hoping that someone else also did the same thing in the right time and place. Broadcast spawning is weird.
(image ID: photos of a hydra in the process of regeneration. The hydra is green. It is cut in half, creating a head and foot end. Additional photos taken over time show each end growing into a new hydra. source)
(image id: a pale white hydra growing a bud. the bud emerges from below the head and appears as a small tube. The head of the tube is branched into 5 small nubs that will grow into tentacles. )
Hydras are predators that feed on insect larvae, tiny invertebrates, and small enough fish larvae. They use their basal discs to attach to a hard surface like a rock or branch and extend their tentacles into the water. When something brushes against the tentacle, it triggers the stinging cells. These stinging cells are called nematocysts. Each nematocyst can release what is essentially a tiny harpoon that injects neurotoxin into the target. Nematocysts fire so fast that the harpoon can experience up to 40,000 Gs of pressure. Because nematocysts are tiny, an animal that touches a tentacle will be injected with venom from many of them, getting poisoned even more as they thrash about and get tangled up. The tentacle will then transfer the prey to the mouth. Hydras can swallow pretty large prey, expanding and contracting to fit the prey animal into them. It's kind of like a snake swallowing an egg bigger than its head. While typically sessile, hydras can move around. They can slither around on their basal discs, but when they need to move fast, they summersault. When summersaulting, a hydra will reach down and grab the ground with its tentacles. It then detaches the disc and moves it to a new position. This repeats until the hydra finds itself in a good spot. A speedy hydra can move a food few inches in a day. Hydras can also secrete gas bubbles from their basal discs to float around, upside-down, in the water. A hydra will usually only move from its spot in response to pressure such as predation, competition, or lack of food.
youtube
(video: a video of a hydra capturing and eating a mosquito larva. It starts with the mosquito touching a tentacle, which adheres to and stings it. Once the larva is dead, the hydra pulls it in and gradually engulfs it. Despite the larva being larger than the hydra, the hydra can stretch its body to fully swallow the mosquito)
So about that immortality thing. Yeah, it's not just that hydras can regenerate from just about anything, they also don't age. They're kind of like Tolkien's elves in that while they won't die on their own, they can be killed. No undying lands for hydras though. As far as we know. It has been found that hydra stem cells can infinitely renew the body, preventing the effects of aging. This means that a hydra living in a place with no threats could theoretically just keep going forever. They can still die due to predation, disease, starvation, poor environment, and all the other usual suspects. We actually know the gene sequence responsible for this. I tried to read up on it, but genetics is way over my head and it literally game me a headache trying to read. Along with their longevity, hydras also have an incredible ability to repair damage to their DNA. This is important as damage or mutations in DNA accumulate with age. This is why cancer is primarily a disease of old age. As damage accumulates past the body's ability to repair it, eventually a mutation that causes cancer will come along. The longer you live, the more time this mutation has to occur. The hydra's ability to repair its DNA keeps them from all inevitably getting cancer. Naturally, scientists are hugely interested in hydra regeneration, DNA repair, and immunity to aging. If we could figure out how these things work and apply them to humans it would be huge. Expanded, perhaps even indefinite life spans with reduced effects of aging are obvious, but there are other applications. Better DNA repair could vastly reduce the chances of getting cancer or other genetic conditions while regeneration could potentially allow people to regrow limbs or organs. This is obviously still in the realm of speculation, but it's exciting to think about. In conclusion, all hail our immortal overlords, the hydras.

Bambrew’s range of eco-friendly packaging alternatives
Bambrew, an Indian startup specializing in sustainable packaging, is making strides in the fight against single-use plastics by offering a range of 'eco-friendly' alternatives, says Vaibhav Anant, founder & CEO. The company provides packaging solutions made from renewable, biodegradable materials such as bamboo, seaweed, banana fiber, and agro-waste. According to Anant, these materials are fully compostable and serve as viable alternatives for businesses seeking to reduce their environmental footprint.
“Our solutions are governed by four core principles of sustainability—eco-friendliness, functionality, cost-efficiency, and scalability. These guiding principles enable us to deliver packaging options that are not only environmentally responsible but also commercially viable for businesses of all sizes,” Anant says.
Bambrew offers a range of packaging alternatives, including mailer bags, flexible pouches, rigid boxes, and custom solutions, all designed to meet the functional needs of various sectors while remaining scalable. It has developed solutions for industries such as FMCG, CPG, fresh fruits and vegetables (F&V), food and beverages (F&B), and e-commerce and retail packaging.
Notable clients include Amazon, Nykaa, Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra Logistics, and Tata 1mg.
Material-Agnostic Company
Anant explains that Bambrew is a material-agnostic company, meaning it develops solutions using various materials, all adhering to the four core principles of sustainability as mentioned earlier.
Bambrew prioritizes sustainability not only in its products but throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from sourcing and compounding to conversion processes, says Anant. The company works closely with raw material providers and maintains complete control over production with the latest technology machines for in-house manufacturing. It also operates tech-assisted warehousing and logistics to ensure timely delivery to customers.
“By reducing our reliance on fossil fuels through the use of biofuels and solar energy, we are significantly lowering our carbon footprint. Equally important is the well-being of our workers, and we are committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We adhere to an 8-hour shift structure and offer a range of benefits to ensure a supportive and positive work environment, with a strong emphasis on mental health,” Anant states.
The company has its manufacturing facility in Bangalore and collaborates with several contract manufacturing units across India to expand its reach and capabilities.
Rapid Growth
According to Anant, the company has made big progress over the last 12 months, with growth exceeding 8x.
“This momentum has been incredibly encouraging, and we’re excited to continue building on it in the years to come. As the demand for sustainable solutions grows, we’re committed to scaling responsibly and staying focused on our mission,” he says.
New Offerings
Bambrew is actively working towards the continuous development of advanced meta-materials. It has been extensively researching materials such as Biophil, a home-compostable bioplastic alternative, while also exploring other renewable resources. These materials are designed to offer high performance while being environmentally friendly.
In August of this year, the company introduced a new category of rigid boxes that utilize Kappa boards produced from post-consumer recycled fibers. The product features components like non-animal-based glue, recycled paper cladding, plastic-free Biophil lamination, and plant-based inks. Each element of this product is designed to meet Bambrew's environmental goals and contribute to a fully sustainable manufacturing cycle.
“Additionally, we are actively developing alternative solutions for pharmaceutical packaging, as well as advanced barrier films for food packaging within the FMCG sector. While these are only a few examples, all our efforts are directed towards the broader aim of pushing the envelope of what’s possible within the realm of sustainability and delivering solutions that meet the highest standards of quality while supporting a greener, more sustainable transition into the future,” Anant concludes.

What is the difference between CPQ & RLM?
Revenue Cycle Management Services
In today's fast-moving healthcare and enterprise environments, understanding the difference between CPQ and RLM is essential, especially when these tools impact operations like Revenue Cycle Management. Although both the CPQ and RLM help to optimize processes, they serve very different functions but are aligned toward the business segment.
CPQ – Configure, Price, Quote:
CPQ stands for Configure, Price, Quote. It's a sales tool that helps companies quickly and accurately generate quotes for products or services they are offering. CPQ is a valuable product in industries with complex pricing models or customizable offerings—such as medical equipment, software solutions, or enterprise services.
With CPQ, sales teams can:
Select product features and (configure) as per its requirements
Apply pricing rules and discounts (price) for better product briefing
Generate accurate proposals or quotes (quote) for better outcomes
By automating this process, CPQ reduces errors, speeds up the sales cycle and which eventually boost up the revenue as the ultimate goal, and ensures that pricing is consistent and aligned with company policies and as per its set standards and desired objectives.
RLM – Revenue Lifecycle Management:
On the other hand, revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) focuses and starves to look at managing and optimizing things at every stage of the revenue process. In healthcare, this is closely tied to Revenue Cycle Management—as a system that oversees the patient billing, insurance claims, payments, and collections.
RLM looks at the broader picture, including:
Contract management
Billing and invoicing
Revenue recognition or recollection
Renewals and upsells of listings
RLM ensures and seeks that the revenue is tracked, reported, and optimized as per the given concern from when a contract begins until the revenue is fully realized or settled out. In healthcare, it's critical for improving financial health, assuring compliance, and reducing revenue leakage as a protective measure.
Key Differences -
CPQ is sales-focused, helping generate quotes and close deals faster as a better option for the users to roll out.
RLM is revenue-focused, ensuring smooth handling and assessment of all financial processes post-sale and after it gets done.
CPQ comes into play at the beginning of the customer journey, while RLM continues throughout the customer lifecycle as they both work as a part of the set system.
Many advanced providers and professionals experts of Revenue Cycle Management, like Suma Soft, IBM, Cyntexa, and Cignex, offer tailored RLM solutions and Revenue Cycle Management services that integrate with CPQ systems. This creates a seamless flow from quoting to revenue realization, making operations more efficient and profitable.

You KNOW it’s gonna be a rough one when even the parasitologist calls this parasite “weird”
It’s strongyloidies and he’s totally right
It’s related to nematodes, which usually live in soil, and this guy does too, normally. It can be free-living OR parasitize any mammal OR be waterborne
It breeds and grows in the large intestine, and is usually contracted orally, but the consumed eggs don’t go through the esophagus/stomach, but down the trachea, through the lungs, and then migrate to the intestines.
Autoinfection happens when the adults migrate BACK to the oral cavity and release eggs, which then go back to the lungs
A single egg can start this infection process bc its lifecycle is wild. One larval stage is male, it makes the sperm, and then it keeps the sperm as it morphs to the female larval stage, where it can fertilize its own eggs
There’s also a skin infection route which can move 5-15 cm an HOUR
My poor dad’s watching this one and he’s FREAKED lol
#parasitology#strongyloides#TW illness#TW bugs#I guess???#idk man it’s p gross#like it’s technically a fecal oral route but it doesn’t live in the GI tract most of the time it’s WILD

outsource hiring agency
An outsourced hiring agency, often known as a recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) agency, is a specialized firm that assists businesses in managing various aspects of their recruitment and staff selection processes. These agencies are hired by companies to handle some or all employment-related functions, aiming to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of the hiring process.
hiring agencies have a team of experienced recruiters who specialize in identifying and attracting top talent. They stay updated on industry trends, have extensive networks, and use advanced sourcing strategies to find suitable candidates.
End-to-End Recruitment agencies typically offer comprehensive services covering the entire staffing lifecycle, from job profiling and candidate sourcing to interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
Talent Acquisition Technology contracted hiring agencies often leverage advanced technology and recruitment tools to streamline the placement process. This can include applicant tracking systems (ATS), video interviewing platforms, and AI-driven candidate screening.
outsourcing the placement process, companies can potentially reduce their overall employment costs. This is because they pay the externalized agency for services rendered rather than maintaining a full-time, in-house sourcing team.
It's important for companies to carefully choose an outsourced hiring agency based on their specific needs, industry, and organizational culture. Effective communication and collaboration between the company and the outsourcing agency are crucial for a successful partnership in attracting and acquiring top talent.

An Overview Of Contacts Administration - 7 Things You Must Know!
A fundamental aspect of contract administration is a comprehensive understanding of contract basics. This includes knowing the types of contracts, such as fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, and time and materials, and understanding their implications. Being familiar with contract terminology and the legal principles underpinning contractual agreements is crucial. This foundational knowledge aids in the creation, negotiation, and execution of contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and mutually beneficial.
Effective Contract Negotiation:
Effective negotiation is key in contract administration. It involves discussing costs and defining scope, timelines, responsibilities, and contingencies. Skilled negotiators understand the importance of balancing protecting their organisation's interests and maintaining a good relationship with the other party. This involves clear communication, understanding the needs and constraints of all parties involved, and developing a contract that reflects a win-win scenario.

Meticulous Documentation and Record Keeping:
Meticulous documentation and record-keeping are vital. Every aspect of a contract, from initial proposals and amendments to compliance documents and communications, should be documented and organised. This ensures that all contractual obligations are clear, traceable, and accessible. Proper documentation helps resolve disputes, make informed decisions, and provide a clear trail of contractual changes or agreements. It also plays a critical role in ensuring legal compliance and can serve as evidence in litigation.
Compliance and Legal Awareness:
Compliance with laws and regulations is non-negotiable in contract administration. Administrators must know and adhere to relevant legal standards, including labour laws, safety regulations, and industry-specific guidelines. This legal awareness helps minimise the risk of contractual disputes and the potential for costly legal battles. Staying updated with changes in laws and regulations is also crucial for maintaining compliance over the life of a contract.
Risk Management and Contingency Planning:
Identifying and managing risks associated with contracts is a critical skill. This includes understanding potential financial loss, legal issues, or reputational damage. Effective contract administrators develop contingency plans to address these risks, ensuring the organisation is prepared to handle unexpected challenges. Risk management also involves regular contract reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
Relationship and Stakeholder Management:
Contract administration is not just about managing documents; it's about managing relationships. This includes maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders. Good relationship management ensures smoother contract execution, easier negotiations in the future, and effective conflict resolution. Keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the contract lifecycle is key to successful contract administration.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation:
The field of contract administration is dynamic, with changing laws, evolving business practices, and emerging technologies. Continuous learning and adaptation are essential for staying relevant and effective. This includes regular training, staying abreast of industry trends, and embracing new tools and technologies to streamline contract administration processes. An adaptive approach ensures contract administrators effectively respond to new challenges and opportunities.
The Bottom Line:
Understanding these seven aspects is fundamental for anyone involved in contract administration. From grasping the basics of contracts to managing relationships and staying adaptable in a changing environment, these elements are crucial for ensuring that contracts are managed legally andbenefit all parties involved. Effective contract administration is not just a skill but an ongoing commitment to excellence in business agreements.
