dating karina (aespa)
word count: 870 words a/n: uhh i've been in a karina state of mind lately i could've made this at least 8k words but i didn't... genres: fluff and nsfw content
Tumblr media
gif creds: @sunghanbin
the one that you need to know about jimin is that she is a selfish lover
and i mean that in every sense of the word
she is SO incredibly possessive
will absolutely get upset if she feels like she's sharing your love with literally anyone or anything
in fact, she probably asked you out because she got jealous af
aka she was trying to court you and you kept friend-zoning her
"omg you got me flowers and perfume? you're such an amazing friend, jimin!"
smh.
one day, she catches you with a box of chocolates that she definitely did not get you
and she loses it
"y/n, who got you this? they probably poisoned it. idk. you should throw it out. i think it went bad. oh wait it's ugly. throw it away."
will buy you a box of chocolate double the size
and seeing her jealous is what finally makes things click in your head
but you like seeing her so possessive over you so you pretend that you don't know what she's saying
until she finally summons all of her courage and asks you out formally
and oh, if you thought that her crushing on you was intense, it TRIPLES when you start dating
openly flirts with you everywhere. in front of everyone.
will call you beautiful/handsome/gorgeous and will glare at anyone who doesn't agree with her (platonically, ofc)
will scream from the rooftops that she's head over heels for you
but beyond all of that, she loves so hard
jimin genuinely believes that you were the one to hang the stars in the sky
she really asks for nothing in your relationship except for never giving her a reason to think that you don't like her
highkey, she's a loser
i mean that
like you could just sit in her lap when she games and she would think that you're the sexiest person she's ever laid eyes on
it could be overbearing just HOW into you she is if she wasn't so loser??
like yea, she's super possessive and will stink eye anyone looking at you weird when you're dressed up all sexy
but then she'll look at you with those big boba eyes because she forgets the entire world when you look at her
highkey thinks that you're out of her league??
like in her head, she games 29/8, wears glasses, wears the same wrinkled shirt for days on end, is super shy when you first meet her, etc.
not to mention the fact that she's aware that she's so incredibly in love with you
so it can hurt her in the beginning when you don't know how to show her just how much you love her
like you're just AWKWARD but she doesn't get that
but literally just tell her and she will fall like a lovesick puppy all over again
is such a gentlewoman omg
doesn't let you pay for anything, spoils you rotten, and loves nothing more than to tell you how much she loves you
will not break up with you. like once you're with her, you're with her for lyfe.
[nsfw content below.]
OMG AND IT TRANSFERS TO THE BEDROOM TOO
BC I SWEAR THAT SHE'S SUCH A SOFT DOM
she likes dressing you up in the prettiest sets, watching you model them for her bc she likes seeing how shy you get
is it controversial if i said she would make you wear a collar?
doesn't matter how big or small you are, you will always find yourself on her lap
she likes making you ride her thigh??
like she likes watching you try to get yourself her without even lifting a finger
again with the whole i want you to love me as much as i love you thing
especially if you're wearing her clothes??
will get clothes 9x too big just bc she likes seeing you swaddled in her clothes, using her to get yourself off
but you can't. ofc you can't.
she honestly would make you feel so good that you physically wouldn't be able to get off w/o her helping you
will mark you everywhere
i'm not joking
you'll wake up looking like you got mauled by bear from the hickeys on your neck
she likes spanking you for the same reason
her handprint on your ass is pretty much permanent atp
is dominant the whole time (and it's very very rare that she gives up control) and loves making you melt in her arms
her goal is always to make you feel so good that you can't speak, just clawing at her for more
more what? who knows. but she'll give it to you, that's for sure.
is very kinky and probably enjoys fantasies of a lot of darker kinks but is very scared of pushing you past your limits
just the sheer volume of dark dark fantasies that she finds herself getting off to the idea of subjecting you to scares her
aftercare is superb
never fails to clean you up, wait for you to come back to her, and always snuggles the absolute best fr fr
she's a sweetie who fucks real good (a keeper fr)

mackie youve truly represented the black slushy community w that recent post? because inviting idubzz like what 😩 im sending this to you bc i feel like ur account and you are the only slushy in this community that i can say this too. but i find them so annoying now, i find claire and chase annoying especially chases constant trying to sound like a sassy Disney channel black woman. Like boy we heard you talk normally when you were commenting (and if you reply to this mackie, i want all the white queers to stfu about whatever “gay codeswitching” argument their gonna bring up”) — and also theyre so fucking greedy, like i thought the documentary was going to be on ooc?? ITS A WHOLE NEW PATREON THE FUCK BRO? like nahh they got me fucked on god because what? WHAT? and this is random as hell but i love mandy, but i cant help but feel like theyve turned her into part of her content cow too and idk man maybe im. A true hater and my singleness is radiating off of me but like i hate how sm of her content revolves around her bf and hamzah and hamzahs friends but again maybe shes just protecting her irl friends identities bc this fandom turning crazy 😩 but not even a lil post w one of her friends that isnt an influencer…? even if her friends face is blurred like ok…?
honoured to be part of the black slushy representation council 🤞🏾 but jordanna (ik this is you girl 😭) this whole post made me laugh so much bro lmfaooo.
but highkey - i agree w a lot of this. esp the mandy part 🌝 (this is the controversial opinion i mentioned at the end of my previous post that i never expanded on) but i always like mandy bc i always wondered what the lives of like the partners or family of content creator’s lives are and i liked how tame her channel was and how she was somewhat separated from slushy noobz (obviously it makes sense she did videos with them because martin is her bf) - but now idk i feel like shes just as much an influencer as them, if not actually just a member of slushy noobz instead of just her usual, snd my preferred, role of recurring guest. i think i just have PTSD from DSMP, but my initial disinterest started when they started involving claire and chase and mandy being so involved. i still love mandy though, just not her content - but unfortunately since she’s a content creator if you don’t really like a content creator’s content it kinda equates to somewhat not liking them to a certain degree if this makes sense.

you and that anon calling it a war and not what it actually is. A GENOCIDE. speaks volume about both of you. in that fancall no one yelled at him, no one asked him to do anything, out of all the time they had for a fancall they spent like three seconds to say that stays are feel inspired by skz and are raising money for palestine, if that bothers you then you're a part of the problem. chan looked fine in that fancall, especially if you compare it to the tickets fancall where he clearly looked annoyed and tried to be nice at first, but they didn't get the clue and kept pushing, so he had be straight forward. i don't know if you just poorly worded your thoughts, but it sounds bad and knowing how much actuals zionists roam happily in the fandom, those poorly worded thoughts make all of them feel even more comfortable and welcomed in the fandom
hi anon ❤️ first, i want to say that i understand that you are coming from a very good place and if you felt by my messages that it came across as pro-zionism, then i truly do appreciate you coming and leaving this note. i agree that this is the right thing to do when people are promoting terrible things. i'm assuming there's confusion in what was said, but please know that i don't have any ill-will at all & i know that you come from a place of love and doing what is right 🫶🏼
firstly, you are 100% right that it is genocide. "war" was the first word that came to mind (i be watching a lottt of news that uses both oml), but i agree that genocide is way more accurate to what is actually going on so thank you for pointing that out <3
however, i'm not really sure what fancall you're referring to. i haven't seen a fancall of anyone talking to chris about it. the only fancalls i've referenced lately are the ones about tickets and the other about about the fan who was saying "do you love me more or do i love you more?". if there's a fancall of chris talking to a stay about raising money though, that's really awesome... but baby i haven't seen it nor have i talked ab it 🥲 (p.s. someone pls send me a link pls & ty 🫶🏼) lowkey highkey i'm sure chris is really fucking proud if that's the case && hopefully he'd be supportive to the best of his abilities 🥹 but long story short, baby i have never seen this video in my life nor have i talked ab it... so if that is what you're upset about then idk what is happening bc it wasnt me 🫠
i'm most definitely not a zionist and i would doubt that the others who have spoken/responded to my comments are either (i don't know for certain, but i would assume we're all normal lol). the only thing i talked ab that has to be realllly fucking hard on chris is when some stays were trending that skz needed to speak up and included the phrase "stop hurting your fans and driving them away," mostly targeted at chan. like that shit breaks my heart for him. to know that he probably wants to talk ab it and his own fans are saying how disappointed they are in him, but there is a 100% chance that if he says anything, he is violating his contract & god knows what that would do to skz (every fucking thing is controversial these days... even if it's the right thing to do). while we should never have to compromise our morals or beliefs, unfortunately this is what happens in kpop. you sacrifice your freedom of speech, and i'm sure this is one of those things. it is a horrible, systemic issue that is deeply rooted in the industry (and needs to be overturned, but that's a whole different conversation). i think trying to push for it with actual companies is a good thing, but targeting specific members isn't the way to go about it.
anyways, that's all ❤️ i hope that cleared some things up & i already know i'm gonna have anons on both sides tryna get snippy so PLEASE no one go on a rampage 🤪 i understand where anon is coming from & i genuinely take it as wanting to make sure that we are all on the same page & can foster a good environment here on tumblr. pinky promise there are no hard feelings AT ALL on my end 🫶🏼

What's your opinion of people trying to give constructive criticism to an artist (Whether that be for acting/art/writing/building etcetc)? Because I believe constructive criticism is good and helps people grow, but my roommate's opinion is that there's no such thing as constructive criticism and that it's not needed or wanted most of the time and often comes across as condescending especially from strangers. So I wondered your thoughts, do you agree with me or my flatmate or do you have a completely different view entirely?
i think it depends in a lot of ways. i think, as the critiquer, you kinda have to read the room first before giving out criticism.
if the art creator is super jazzed about their art, is over the moon about it, is super proud of what they accomplish, and then asks you what you think - this is not the time for you to rain on their parade. it's not time for you to bring them back to reality. that's the time for you to be like "omg this is so great, i can't wait to see what you do in the future bc i bet it'll be 10x as better!" or something like that. i also think if it's in a public setting, it's also not the time to tell them what you think unless it's extremely complimentary. in private, you can tell them what you think (if you think they handle criticism well) but in public - possibly in front of their peers - it's not the time for judgement. this is also assuming the person that is creating the art is your friend/someone you're close to.
and when it comes to a stranger's art work, it might be best to just be nice. unless you direly feel like their art is being hindered by something, there's really no point in pointing something out. like, as someone who has been in a lot of the arts the majority of her life, i AM my biggest critic. i know every time i fuck up and every time i succeed. you pointing out possibly the obvious isn't gonna do anything beneficial for me. also, i think bc art is so subjective, you might read something as one way while the artist is doing something else entirely. so i feel like in circumstances like that, it's best to just ask the person "what are you trying to say with this art" and if they explain it well and you can see what they're saying, then just say it's good and move on. i feel like a lot of ppl feel this deep need to always say what's on their mind at all times instead of just accepting that not everyone needs to know what you think. not saying that applies to you, anon. just in general.
for me specifically, i highkey hate judging other ppl's art. i know, the person with the most amount of opinions hates being judgey? who would have guessed it lol but it is true. back when i was in university, one of my minors was art (specifically drawing) and i HATED doing critiques. not bc i hated hearing other ppl's opinions on my work, but bc i hated judging. bc i felt like why do i get a say on whether or not this person's art is good? who am i to judge? i'm literally on their level, in the same classroom, trying to get a good grade. what about my experience leads me to have an authority on this, especially something so subjective like art? also a lot of ppl don't handle criticism well, and i don't want to be the reason someone quits art, you know? so when i would have to judge i would do everything in power to say the nicest things possible bc again, i just didn't feel right being judgey. not to mention in those circumstances, i'm not the professor. you might not be making art purposefully to impress me so… who cares what i gotta say lol
controversial yet brave opinion here: most ppl when they ask someone "what do you think" about their artwork, they really just want to hear compliments. they don't want to hear the top 10 ways their work could be better. they just want to hear that they did a good job and that you're proud. so honestly, i feel like we should all just oblige. but maybe that's just how i feel sksksk

I think now im gonna say sth controversial. Damon and Bonnie should have ended up together. Their dynamic in S6 and S7 esp was the true mvp. They were a breath of fresh air and i think we all know that they didnt end up together due to behind the scenes reasons and highkey racism. But they were truly amazing together. They actuallt were compatible and made each other a better version of themselves and happier. And look, platonic relationships are important BUT pt1
for a relationship that was supposed to be just platonic, they were written VERY ambiguously. There are many scenes where other characters and even Elena didnt understand their bond, in s7 after D left B was feeling like shit and someone asked if he was her boyfriend and she said no, but after pausing for a min she said she didnt know what they were. Scenes where D was being possessively protective over her and even JEALOUS over seeing her Enzo. They had whole love declaration and in the end D was like "you are my best friend", after memorizing and telling her a whole fucking love letter to her. There's even a scene with D saying to E that he's not doing it for her, he's doing it for B, like WHAT THE FUCK. Why would you write their relationship with clear romantic undertones if you didnt plan on them being endgame? Also for me Damon ending up with Elena, after seeing Bamon flourish for 3 seasons, felt forced on screen in my opinion
Bestie I can’t lie🤡my memory of the show is very limited since it’s been a fucking while since I last watched it and some of the scenes you are mentioning are like blank in my head sgshsbsjsbsjsb
Tbh I can see why people would want romantic Bamon but they just felt like such a good platonic dynamic to me, like it was genuinely one of my favourite friendships I’ve ever seen in any tv shows
However, I can completely agree on the fact that whether Bonnie ended up with Damon or anyone else, she was never gonna fully get a happy ending because of the bts racism and shit she faces behind the cameras😒hence even enzo dying instead of him and bonnie being happy and content like they deserved to be

It's nice to get confirmation that Filoni drinks the Qui Gon is One Good Jedi kool aid. He probably even buys the whole Anakin would never have fallen had Qui Gon trained him. I kinda suspected since watching Mortis arc, now I know I was right. He is framed like Mufasa from Lion King imparting valuable life lesson to Simba (Anakin). Idk what it is about Qui Gon that has fans absolutely convinced he was everything right. Even Anakin believes Obi-Wan was no Qui Gon in 2003 TCW.
Yeah, his statement was brushing up very close to the “One Good/True Jedi” nonsense (or I suppose, more accurately “small group of personally approved Jedi are the only good/true Jedi”), and he was definitely propping up his faves at the expense of the rest of the Order and I’m...highkey not about that kind of thing. I see it enough from the fandom as it is. I honestly don’t even like it much when people call Obi-Wan (who is unquestionably my favorite) “the perfect Jedi” - an exemplary Jedi, certainly, but I don’t believe that there is such a thing as a “perfect” Jedi, there isn’t one true path for them, each one confronts their fears and resists their temptations in their own way. Their way of life isn’t a static set of standards of “goodness” or “light”, it’s a lifelong commitment and journey of continuous self-improvement and active choice. Their culture’s ideals may be communal, but it’s not about those ideals; rather it’s about the choice to seek them, to strive for them. And that’s a very personal thing, so to me it doesn’t make any sense to elevate any one (or small group of) Jedi at the expense of the others. There isn’t a “most right” under the growth mindset of the Jedi.
He probably even buys the whole Anakin would never have fallen had Qui Gon trained him.
I hope not, because that’s some stale nonsense I’ve seen far too often, that much like most everything else people claim would’ve prevented Anakin from falling, completely discounts Palpatine’s involvement! If Qui-Gon had trained Anakin, Palpatine would’ve still been there, grooming Anakin and manufacturing distrust and resentment wherever he could. Only if Qui-Gon had somehow been able to prevent Palpatine’s access to Anakin from the very beginning (which I suppose is possible, but probably not very likely), would his training as opposed to Obi-Wan’s training have made much of any difference.
But I don’t see Filoni as saying this, since he did say that Ahsoka benefited from Obi-Wan teaching her just as much as she did from Anakin, so he doesn’t seem to think badly on Obi-Wan’s training.
Idk what it is about Qui Gon that has fans absolutely convinced he was everything right. Even Anakin believes Obi-Wan was no Qui Gon in 2003 TCW.
I mean I can completely see why Anakin would believe that Qui-Gon was the greatest Jedi ever - the man freed him from slavery! And argued for him becoming a Jedi! And then died heroically fighting evil! Of course from Anakin’s perspective he’s going to idolize Qui-Gon and his memory, and Obi-Wan wasn’t going to do anything to dissuade that because of course he’d prefer to remember his master fondly too, and if an overeager kid is asking you to tell stories about him, you’re of course going to share the most flattering ones. So of course it’s very easy for Anakin to conceptualize Qui-Gon as this idealized figure that would’ve been perfect for him - things would be very different if Qui-Gon had survived and Anakin had to contend with the reality of him. Even if his training was good for this AU!Anakin, it would inevitably fall short of what canon!Anakin pictures.
Now where the fandom is concerned...there’s very little basis for this view of Qui-Gon, and mostly seems to me to be simply a matter of them projecting their dislike of or disagreement with (what they perceive to be) the Jedi Code and the Council onto Qui-Gon, because he’s been conveniently identified as going against them sometimes without much specifics on what (or why) he objects to. So when filling in the blanks, it’s easy for fans to assume his views reflect theirs, that he has the same objections they do, that he’s a perfect one-to-one mouthpiece for their issues with the Jedi.
But it’s pure headcanon. Nothing in the films (or even the expanded material that I’ve come across) suggests that Qui-Gon disagreed with Jedi rules on forbidding attachment or controlling emotion, which is what most fans take issue with. All we know from the films is that Qui-Gon doesn’t always follow the Code, and the only direct defiance we see from him is his insistence that they adopt in a child significantly older than typical for training. It’s not framed as a wholesale opposition to everything the Council is (otherwise, why would he be a Jedi? Why would he want Anakin to be trained as a Jedi if he didn’t mostly agree with the Jedi way? There are other Force traditions, and Qui-Gon could easily leave and start his own if he saw everything they did as wrong).
And it’s not even framed as Qui-Gon being in the right, either! I think people see it that way because we’re predisposed from popular culture to expect fictional authority (especially religious authority) to always be the “bad guys” or at least as an obstacle, while the lone wolf going against the grain is the one we’re supposed to root for and see as having the right idea (another probable contributor to that is that Qui-Gon has a pleasant and confidently assured voice and posture, which does a lot for perception of how credible one is). But taken as it is, without that expectation, I don’t see anything in the film that frames the Jedi Council or Qui-Gon that way, and I don’t think I’m supposed to, either, considering how Lucas talks about Qui-Gon in the TPM audio commentary:
[1:30:54] “So here we’re having Qui-Gon wanting to skip the early training and jump right to taking him on as his padawan learner, which is controversial, and ultimately, the source of much of the problems that develop later on.”
[1:34:08] “One of the primary issues between - this relationship between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon is that this is establishing Obi-Wan as the kind of straight arrow, the center of the movie and Qui-Gon as the rebel, this is the one who’s constantly sort of pushing the envelope. Which will switch itself in the next movie, when, rather than having his master be the rebel, he has his padawan learner become the rebel. I’m using Obi-Wan as this centering device through all of these movies, even as we get in with Luke and everyone else later on.”
He’s definitely not elevating Qui-Gon above the other Jedi here - highlighting him as a rebel, yes, but hardly saying that makes him better than the other Jedi for it. He’s fairly neutral and matter-of-fact on Qui-Gon here, really - Qui-Gon being a maverick isn’t right or wrong, it simply is what it is. So I certainly don’t think we’re intended to “side” with Qui-Gon over the Council or Obi-Wan, or make any sort of value judgement on the rest of the Jedi based on Qui-Gon’s relation to them as a maverick, or otherwise see him as the one getting being a Jedi “the most right”.

There’s been so much controversy over 5x09 Blarke, but something I think we can (almost) all agree on is that it was one of the dumbest writing decisions ever to put them in that situation.
And I, for one, can not fucking wait for them to be moving past this in s6. Yes, of course I want them to talk about what happened. I’m excited for the “good chat” that Eliza mentioned, which I’m assuming is them addressing what hadn’t been addressed last season.
However, I’m more excited to see them co-leading again and interacting as best friends who are also highkey in love with each other. I’m even excited to see Clarke trying to make up for things, not realizing that in Bellamy’s eyes, there’s nothing to make up for. Because he understands her, always has. Loves her and knows that she loves him too because of the radio calls. I’m excited to see Bellamy trying to make up for things and continuing to show Clarke that when he said he would protect Madi, he meant it.
I’m excited for them to just be. To exist together. To rely on one another, rebuild the trust that was lost. And most of all, I’m excited for the mutual pining -- what will hopefully in 6x11 lead to that Hakeldama 2.0 we’ve been waiting for since last season. I don’t even need a kiss yet. Just an almost kiss, in the heat of the moment.
Because that is the kind of angst we asked for last season, and that’s the kind of angst we deserve.

Congrats on finishing!!! 🥹 Addressing your thoughts (from a lover of the OG manga too!):
Akito is *barf* and most if not all of the fandom tends to agree that she is quite irredeemable, so the attempted redemptive arch given to her at the end has always been a big eye roll for us. I think it’s another reason why we tend to appreciate Rin’s reaction because it’s way more realistic. For everyone to gloss over what Akito has done to them for YEARS, especially what she did to Rin, never made sense. But I suppose it ties into Tohru — how she’s able to love every single person of the Sohma family unconditionally, even Akito. Couldn’t be me, but Tohru really is better than me fr 😮‍💨
I also loved Ayame’s first reaction to being free 💜
Yuki/Machi is actually one of the parts of the story that I don’t fully click with only because I felt the pacing could’ve been better. I think I appreciate the dynamic and feel it enough, but even in the manga I wished there was way more build up and solo scenes of them. It felt rushed in the manga and in the anime to me, so I’m curious if it felt rushed to you!!
The disappearance of Momiji is REAL 😭 I personally liked that he had feelings for Tohru — I think it pulls him from the ‘lil baby Momiji’ image and helps us readers realize how deeply he loved Tohru, in all the ways. I think without the feelings, most would still see him as a tiny immature kid but it shows how much emotional depth he always had. I also think it was very realistic for another human to be in love with a person like Tohru. If it wasn’t Yuki, to me it made sense it was Momiji for how close they were and how deeply she affected his life.
On that note, I am also glad they didn’t go with a ‘love triangle’ approach with Momiji, too. But because of that, I thought he’d be given a lot more resolution with his sister (fuck his mom, tbh). They didn’t give much with it so I agree he just disappears after that. I think a lot of fandom actually says he had one of the emptiest endings. He didn’t get the girl he loved. His mom still doesn’t know who he is. At least it’s implied in the sequel manga that he and his sister became close again, but still. 🥲
LOL I can understand how the ‘Kyo + Kyoko’ friendship was kinda random. Even as a kid I thought that was random 😂 But I do think the story implies they only had a handful of interactions until Tohru got lost (Yuki, Hat, etc arc). It was a fun way of showing both Yuki and Kyo saved Tohru in quiet ways long before she saved them/vice versa.
Kyoru!!!1!!!1 All of what you said it honestly what makes me not invested in their fanfics and post-story content. They’re perfect as is but I don’t crave seeing more of them because that’s just… it? They’re a vanilla couple in the best ways LOOOOL. They get together and they’re just wholesome and sweet. They’re the kind of relationship you love and adore for real life; healthy in all the ways. But a lil boring for fiction after then on if there’s no tension 😭 I understand you
Ok! The curse thing! So the best way to explain it is that there was not technically a single instance that made the curse break. It’s implied the bond/curse was already weakening over generations and generations (ie. Dragon being a seahorse and not an actual dragon). It just so happened that this was the generation, and Tohru was almost a catalyst to it fully breaking by helping them live free from their God. There might be other interpretations though! Been years since reading into the theory side of FB
So fun though 🥹 If you’re interested in more Furuba, they animated Tohru’s parents backstory into a movie “Fruits Basket: Prelude”! And they have the Sequel manga called “Fruits Basket Another”
Heads up that Tohru’s parents’ story is very controversial 💀 We highkey dislike her dad lol
Fruits Basket's final thoughts
I finished the anime a few weeks ago, and after my previous posts on the matter I thougt I'd make a final one. Please note that I haven't read the manga, so it's not impossible that some of my objections could boil down to being an anime-only.
Tumblr media
Good for Akito for her heel-face turn I guess, but I'm team Rin here. She's done too much shit to be forgiven.
At least she ends up with Shigure. They deserve each other. Funny how quick the dog went from hot to not in my book.
As much as I can't stand Ayame, I really loved how the first thing he does when he feels the curse breaking is go to Mine and confess her his love. That was wholesome af, and I appreciate that he didn't seem to feel the same level of loss over it than the rest of the zodiac. (funnily enough, he was my husband's fave)
I loved the Yuki/Maki resolution, how he manned up and kissed her right there on the train station square.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the conclusion (or lack thereof) of Momiji's arc. The hinting that he too had romantic feelings for Tohru seemed to come out of nowhere and adds nothing in terms of plot or stakes. Also he kind of fades into the background after his curse breaks. I was really, really hoping (expecting, even) for resolution with his sister.
The backstory of Kyo with Tohru’s mum… pfff Iet’s say I accept it bc of the genre, but it felt farfetched af, her fatidic last words contrived and shoehorned for the sake of drama (There was more than enough grounds for Kyo’s guilt about not helping her without that addition IMO). Plus, it doesn’t make much sense to me that a mum of a lonely girl has a secret putative lonely son and never introduces them? (or even tries to? Whatever happened to the universal parental custom to go “look, a kid like you, go make friends” whenever another brat is in your general vicinity?)
Likewise, the much awaited Kyoru kinda… fell flat to me for some reason. Like the chemical reaction that had been bubbling up for three seasons just died down and they went straight to plain old married couple or something.
Last but not least, the curse thing itself was quite muddy, at least to me. If all needed for it to end was Akito willing so, how/why did Kureno/Momiji/Hiro manage to break it? I’ll probably look into this one, but still… I felt like the build up didn’t quite pay off.
Oh well, my husband’s waifu Rin and my husbando Haru are still together and happy so all is well I gues.

I’m just gonna say it...if the werwolves of twilight were white, there wouldn’t be controversy around the wolf instinct thing and everyone was just overreacting to it. The imprint thing though...was definitely low key pedo and I agree it wasn’t cool.
the thing is is that stephenie meyer went out of her way to write a group of native people as native knowing that she would write them as werewolves. i wouldn’t call any aspect of imprinting “lowkey” it’s uhhhhhh v highkey gross and pedophilic

“Uncle Jon”
a fluffy modern au jon x sansa fic based of the face painting photo prompt on this list for @jonsa-creatives spring challenge … (this is highkey stupid lmao I am sorry)
* * *
“That’s the last one,” Jeyne declared, relief prominent in her voice as the little boy she’d just painted whiskers and a pink nose on ran back to his parents. “It’s time to pack up. It’ll be getting dark soon.”
The yearly fair held to raise money for the Night’s Watch, an old, acclaimed charity organisation focused on protecting northern wildlife and keeping the wilderness reserve open to the public, was coming to an end. Sansa and Jeyne had volunteered at the face painting stand the entire day, and while Sansa had  surprisingly enjoyed herself quite a bit, her friend was right.
It was time to pack up.
Sansa got to her feet, helping Jeyne pack away the equipment.
“I’ll take these to the car -”, Jeyne said, gesturing to two bags, “- if you pack away the colors and take down the sign.” Sansa nodded, doing as she was told while her friend slowly made her way towards the parking lot.
“Excuse me?” a high-pitched voice asked behind her. Sansa spun around to find a dark-haired little girl looking up at her with big, brown eyes.
“Is this where you do the face painting?” the girl asked politely. Sansa bit her lip.
“Yes. Or it was, but now …” She hesitated. Sansa hated letting people down. “Well, the truth is, it’s getting late, and we were just closing up …”
“I'm too late, ain't I?” the girl asked, her lower lip beginning to tremble. Sansa looked around. Everyone was packing up around them, but Jeyne was still nowhere to be seen.
“You know what?” she said to the child. “If we hurry, I think we have time for one more face painting, don’t you?” The girl lit up, eyes sparkling as she literally jumped up and down.
“Yes! Thank you!”
Sansa smiled as she opened the palette of colours again.
“What’s your name?” she asked the girl.
“Elia.”
“Nice name”, Sansa said. “Mine’s Sansa.”
She was just about to ask what kind of a painting the girl wanted, when she came to think of something.
“Uhm, Elia?”
“Yes?” the girl said, beginning to look impatient.
“Where are your parents?”
“At home.”
“Are you here by yourself!?” Sansa asked.
“Nooo”, the girl said as she rolled her eyes, making Sansa press her lips together to stifle a smile. “I’m here with my uncle. There he is”, she said, pointing behind Sansa, who turned to see a man, surprisingly young and annoyingly handsome, hurry towards them.
“There you are, El!” he exclaimed as he came closer. He was wearing an adorkable t-shirt that said I am the watcher on the wall, his hair an unruly mess, and Sansa found him so irresistibly cute she had trouble breathing.
“I told you I was going to get a face painting”, the little girl - Elia - said with an amount of attitude that stood in such sharp contrast to her appearance that Sansa once more had to fight back a smile. Elia’s uncle seemed to have trouble to keep from laughing as well as he tried - and utterly failed - to frown at his niece.
“And I told you that it was too late to get a face painting”, he replied, in a mockingly sassy tone that had first Elia, then Sansa giggling before she could help herself. “Hi”, the uncle then nodded  in Sansa’s general direction, with a disarming smile that had her blushing. “I’m sorry. Elia, we’re leaving.”
“No, we’re not! She said she’d paint me!”
“Elia, come on - we don’t want to delay her.”
“I’m not going until I get a face painting.”
“Yes, you are”, the uncle said, but he didn’t sound so sure. Uncle and niece frowned at each other in silence for a moment.
“Really, uhm”, Sansa said, since she felt like she had to say something. “It’s fine. I can do a face painting, it’s no problem. I’ll make it quick.”
The uncle stopped frowning, turning to her with an apologetic expression on his face.
“Are you sure? We don’t want to bother you …”
“It’s fine.” Sansa looked at Elia again, who had a pleased smile playing at her lips. “What kind of a painting do you want?”
“I want to be a wolf”, Elia said without missing a beat. Sansa patted the chair, and the girl took a seat and closed her eyes as Sansa began working.
“Are wolves your favorite animal?” Sansa asked, giving the girl a pitch-black nose and beginning on an outline of the ears.
“Yes”, Elia said, sitting admirably still. “Uncle Jon loves them too.” Sansa smiled again, daring a glance in the uncle’s - Jon’s, his name was Jon - direction, and if she hadn’t known better, she’d have thought the man was blushing.
“I … uhm, I wouldn’t say love”, he coughed. “I’ve worked with the Watch a lot, with the wolf preserve, and I mean, you do get a little … attached.”
“Yeah”, Sansa agreed, switching brush to begin colouring, too shy to look up at him again, “I see your point. My dad’s been involved since I was little, and sometimes it feels like us kids are part wolf.”
“’Us kids?’ You have siblings?” He sounded genuinely curious. Sansa attempted to ignore the butterflies in her stomach as she answered.
“Yep. Four of them.”
“My god.” She could hear his smile, even as she focused on the face painting.
“I know. Full house.”
“I hear you. I have three half siblings, plus an aunt that is about my age.”
“Oh? That’s unusual.”
“It’s complicated”, he smiled. Sansa swallowed. “But I got some nephews out of the ordeal, and a charming niece.” He patted Elia’s hair.
“That’s me”, Elia said, making Sansa smile once more as she made a last stroke with the brush.
“There you go!” Sansa said, grabbing the mirror so that the girl could have a look. Elia opened her eyes, met her own eyes in the mirror - and let out a shout of joy, before beginning to loudly howl like a wolf.
Jon and Sansa looked at each other, and Sansa giggled in a way she hadn’t for years.
“Elia?” Sansa said, when she’d caught her breath a little, feeling wonderfully light-hearted. She could feel Jon’s eyes on her, a fact that made a pleased shiver crawl up her spine. The little girl looked up at her. “If you have time -” Sansa looked at Jon, who nodded. “- I know the horse-riding has probably closed by now, but my sister works in the stable, so if you run and tell her that Sansa’s sent you you can probably get to ride on one of the ponies, if you’d like?”
Elia laughed, adorably saying “thank you, thank you!” again before running away towards the stables. Sansa smiled again. Arya would like that girl.
“Hey”, Jon said now, and Sansa felt herself blush once more. God, she hated being a redhead. It completely destroyed your abilities to act relaxed. “Thank you. I mean, really. You saved the day. Thanks so much … uhm …”
“Oh”, Sansa said. “Sansa.”
“I’m Jon.”
“I know”, she blurted out without thinking, making her blush all the more furious. “Uncle Jon.” He grinned at that.
“That’s what I’m known as around here, huh? Uncle Jon.”
“Hello, uncle Jon. I’m Sansa the face panting lady.” She held out a hand. He shook it. He had a good handshake - her father always said you could judge a man on his handshake.
“So … uhm … Sansa the face painting lady,” he looked at the ground, adorably shy again. “If, I was, say … to find myself really, really needing a face painting … I’m talking acutely, a real emergency …” Sansa giggled again. “… could I, uhm, maybe call you up?”
“Yeah. But only if it’s really an emergency.”
He took out his phone, still smiling, and she added her number, accurately naming her contact “Sansa Face Painter”.
“I should go after Elia and she how much trouble she’s caused”, he said, sounding legitimately regretful to leave as he put his phone back in his pocket. “But … I’ll call? A strictly face-painting-related call, of course.”
“Of course. Please do.”
He turned and walked away towards the stables, and Sansa felt like doing a little happy dance.
Jon had only been gone a few seconds before Jeyne came back to the stand, eyes wide.
“Hi! What took you so long?” Sansa said in an unnaturally high-pitched voice, trying to conceal her blush.
“Uhm, I was trying to give you and mr Snow, the new head of the Night’s Watch org, some space!”
“What!? That was Jon Snow?” Sansa’s father had spoken very well of the new boss, but she knew his appointment had been a controversial one - mr Snow was young and inexperienced.
And, Sansa now knew, really cute.
“He didn’t present himself?” Jeyne asked suggestively, with a dorky wink that made Sansa smile for the hundredth time that day.
“Uhm, yeah, he did.” But Sansa decided to keep the fact that she’d now always think of the new head of the Watch as uncle Jon to herself.
For now.

I saw a stan mention the "language" line in AoU makes Cap a hypocrite. Whedon wrote something so OOC for Cap just so he could have a running joke against Cap through the movie? I don't understand giving him such a OOC thing to say only to actually give him the together speech as well as "walk it off" - it was almost like two different people wrote it. Also, I always got the vibe Whedon seemed like a highkey Tonkie who projected himself through Tony ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
lol, whedon’s writing and its many mysteries and controversies
honestly that kind of lowkey cracked me up because i would have expected them to bring up the “sometimes my teammates don’t tell me things” bit for arguing that steve is a hypocrite, not “language!” which is like... pretty widely hated in fandom and regarded as ooc, from what i’ve seen. i’m pretty sure i remember seeing something about evans saying that he argued with whedon on that line lol. it’s one of those lines that kind of gives me the impression that whedon cares more about “””””””’’’funny””””’’’’ moments than characterization
which isn’t helped by my general impression that whedon doesn’t have a very good overall understanding of steve as a character, but whatever. it always seems to me like whedon writes steve as too ‘cap’ rather than steve and doesn’t really give the character as much credit as he deserves, because haha funny jokes about the grandpa character being offended by bad language words, haha grandpa character gets the reference to an old movie, sooo funny :)
... anyway, yeah, tl;dr i think whedon sacrifices consistent characterization for the sake of ~humor~ at times, and that contributes to his characterization feeling superficial. i always wonder how different fandom would be if we’d gotten avengers movies written by people who really seemed to understand the characters
i definitely understand what you mean about tony, though since whedon is responsible for writing the movie in which he said tony can be ~seen as the villain~ or whatever it was he said, i wouldn’t say he’s a tonkie so much as he seems to focus on tony because tony is ~quippy~ (and god knows whedon loves his quips) and kind of ~~edgy~~ (in the ‘good intentions but not always good actions’ way, and that he’s just not “”””’vanilla””” like people always say steve is)
tbh, while i am inclined to agree with your last sentence when it comes to the first avengers movie, i definitely got more wish fulfillment vibes in aou from bruce lol, what with the random romance with natasha and the boob faceplant moment

Ti is overrated & some types actually are better than others
Omg I’m rly glad u went controversial
K so basically Ti is absolutely foreign to me and if I ever use it, know that my demise has inevitably begun
Also I agree some types are better than others FOR U but I think it’s on a personal level like I’ve never found an ISFJ that doesn’t highkey stifle me but that doesn’t mean to say that ISFJs are crap or nobody gets on with them like I’ve seen a lot of people shitting on high Te types but they’re my faves

Nobody cares about Sam the way they do Colby, they can pretend to but they don’t. Thats the answer to Colby getting shitted on for any little thing while Sam sometimes does stuff to get people talking and they don’t . Sam subtweets, throws shade at times towards Colby,Kat and other influencers and no one bats an eye. They pretend they don’t see his comments and all the man has to do is delete and not answer anyone that comes at him. He talks about the most disconnected, privileged stuff, some reply and it lands on deaf ears because he doesn’t react and keeps going like no one said anything. He’s blocked people on twitter recently because they brought up his hairline and his flakiness and although those people spoke out, no one cared. Colby has proven time and time again that what people say gets to him, and the bad thing is he responds to it so that feeds the haters and fuels the fire. Its like they get a rise out of getting a reaction from him. As long he keeps feeding into it, they will use anything against him to get a reaction out if him. Its a sick game.
i have a bit of a controversial opinion about sam's fans that i'm gonna save for a later date bc highkey i don't feel like getting into it rn lol
but as for what you said, i think to some degree there are a lot of fans that see sam as this sage, older brother so they listen to him but don't actually take in what he's saying. i think a lot of that has to do with fans being younger and or less experienced in life. so they hear what he's got to say and agree with him outright bc to them he's lived more life. he's more successful and has done more than them so why not listen to him?
but then some of us older/more experienced fans look at what he says and just kinda… blink at it. like, yeah i guess what you said can be true, but that's also not how most ppl's lives work.
i also believe that sam comes across as calm, cool, and collected emotionally and generally. so fans that don't feel that way about themselves think "oh i have to listen to him bc i want to be like that myself." when in reality, sam is a workaholic, emotional mess who's scared of losing his youth but pretends to know what he's doing and constantly works to the bone bc he can't be stagnant long enough to be left alone with his emotions/thoughts.
he's good at hiding all that, for the most part. but if you read between the lines, even for a second, you see the seams falling apart.
i also think you are right about why ppl hate on colby more; colby tries his best to apologize. he interacts with those that hate him, and that in itself garners more haters. they want a reaction and they know they can get one from colby. sam, bc either a) he doesn't care enough to interact or b) doesn't think he did anything wrong, ignores those that send hate his way. he doesn't apologize, he doesn't hash it out. he just says what he wants, and if ppl hate it, he deletes it and never brings it up again. now, idk if that's any better than what colby does, but it definitely works in sam's favor. bc half of the shit colby has been called out for, sam has ALSO done. but bc he doesn't try to fix it or be apologetic, no one remembers it.
as for sam blocking fans, i wish snc would block more of them tbh. some fans go too far, regardless of if they were just trying to be playful or silly or whatever. some say mean shit, so they deserve a block. you don't get to go on a public platform, @ your favorite creators and say mean shit to them and think you can get off scot-free. you ain't besties with them. they don't KNOW YOU. so what you think is a joke just comes across as hate.
and for all the things to yell at sam for, making fun of his hairline (which is something he has made apparent is a sore spot for him) is fucked. to said fans that did that, you deserve the block.
