Nic: Addie tried to do Nic’s makeup once on a quiet day when the Project was leaving them alone. Nic was skeptical but couldn’t resist her surrogate mother for long, so she sat down and got comfortable. It was going well until Addie put a red lipstick on her that she promptly named it “Blowjob Fodder for John”- Nic almost broke Addie’s nose in her effort to get up, out of the chair and far, far away. It made her not trust anybody with makeup around her for a while until another quiet day when Kim volunteered. Nic asked what the name of the color of lipstick in question she was going to use: “Uuuh.... pink?”  “Excellent, let’s do this.” 

Rebecca: Before she was a lawyer, she had the ghost of a music career going, mostly covers in bars and such but had one hit: “Baby it’s Just You”- so she’s floored and delighted when she hears Magnolia singing it all those years later. 

Katryn: Keeps in contact with the Architect, to the point that once the Taint is cured and her and Alistair have kids, the Architect knows all of their names and inquires after them all the time like he was family. 

Wes: Was Grant’s “The One That Got Away” and is blissfully unaware of that fact... ... until John gives him a Certain look and the lightbulb goes on. 

Cal: Once the Baptist’s Grave reveal goes down and Cal processes that he’s a Seed and he hugs it out with John, he absolutely loses it on him because “a CROCODILE, DAD?!”  “Well, technically that was your uncle’s doing, not mine.” 

Corey: Loved the King’s gang jackets and demanded one as payment for helping him out in Freeside.  He got an entire custom one made for her with pockets for her bobby pins and smaller weapons.

Alexandra: Bakes and cake decorates to cope. A couple of days into finding her voice/talking to the Pack, they all arrive into an amazing-smelling kitchen to see she’s gone hog wild with baked goods as a thank you for their kindness. 

Corey: Has named every single dino in her Dinky the T-Rexes. She’s got one for each companion, too. She’s fashioned tiny sunglasses for Booneasaurus, a lab coat for Archie-Rex, glued on a brain made of clay for “Rex Rex”, a pretty dress for “Lilydactyl” and so on. 

Quinn: Has killed a man with a stiletto heel.

2)Which faction(s) did they join and which did they destroy? Why? She sort of accidentally sides with the NCR more than anything because the Legion just shot first and didn’t bother asking questions and she shot back and won, and then stumbled on Caesar’s Camp by accident and didn’t realize she even killed them until Boone did recon and pointed it out.  And she kills Mr. House but stays away from any super final decisions with that loyalty because they all have pretty shitty outlooks as far as she was concerned. 

4)Give us a summary of their backstory. Was born to a loving family in Colorado and lived there most of her life. She took to gambling and betting on pool games and other odd jobs to get by. Someone contacted her about a Courier job and she took it. 

6) What’s their sexual, romantic, and gender orientation? Do they feel comfortable telling other people? Bi, but leans more towards straight. She’s a bit of a flirt, so it’s really no secret. 

8) Do they have any medical conditions? Is medicine/ treatment available for them? No medical conditions at all. 

10) What do they fear the most? On a deep level: Knowing people hate her/finding out people hate her and judge her over one action she’s done, whatever it is.  Also, she knows she’s a good looking gal and she worries that people will see that and assume she hasn’t done a hard day’s work/entirely underestimate her ability to get whatever jobs need doing done when she needs the money/skill/networking opportunity.  On a simpler level: Cazadors. She’s gotten stung several times and been on Death’s door each time. 

12) What are they most insecure about? Her social skills go absolutely out the window when she likes someone, whether it’s platonically or romantic, so she constantly worries if she’s Too Much or Not Enough when she’s talking to them.

5)What’s their full name and does it have a meaning? Do they have any nicknames and how did they get em? Technically it’s Addison Leandra Burke, but after the shot to the head/amnesia, she adopts the name “Corey” because she got sick of people calling her her profession like it was her name, so she decided to go by a name that was the closest thing to it.  

7)Do they have any mental illnesses? How do they cope? Anxiety, and she tries to talk it out with Companions, mostly Arcade. Also plenty of cuddles with Rex, Stripe and Roxy. 

9)How much do they care about their outer appearance? What’s their “beauty routine”? How often do they shower/ bathe? She tries to bathe regularly so her skin stays in good condition, she tries to stay out of the sun, her hair is basically fried most of the time so she puts it up in a messy bun. Again she’s aware she’s a good looking gal in general so she usually puts minimal effort in, there are far more important things to worry about than looks out in the Mojave. 

11)They’re biggest flaw? Do they recognize it as a flaw? She’s got next to no situational awareness. She will absolutely run into a fight guns blazing without scoping things out beforehand, and she’s absolutely aware of it but has no idea how to wire her brain to stop.

She’ll bottle things up until she has a near death experience and then word vomits about her feelings on certain things/about certain people. It’s how she confessed to Boone that she had a crush on him, even if she fully expects him to quit her service the second she admits it- which, to her relief, he doesn’t.

5) What’s their full name and does it have a meaning? Do they have any nicknames and how did they get em?Lexa: Alexandra Catherine Bryce-  Her mother had always wanted to call her Alexandra even if James wasn’t fond of the name, but cosidering Catherine does in childbirth, he names her Alexandra Catherine as a double angst whammy. She goes by Lexa because the full name is ‘too formal.’ Corey: Addison Leandra Burke- Another one that was after her grandmother. Corey goes by Corey because it’s the closest thing to ‘Courier” that sounds like a genuine name after the whole Benny fiasco. She finds out her name is Addison when she’s reunited with her parents and siblings, but she’s been Corey for a good portion of her ‘new life’ and she hates the name Addison, so she sticks with Corey because it’s something that’s hers. Rebecca: Parents just liked the name, she’s “Bec” to her friends, Deacon calls her “R” or “B” when he gets tired of Charmer. 

13) What Wasteland threat do they fear the most? (ex. Deathclaws, super mutants, raiders)Lexa: Centaurs. The first time she encounters them she absolutely freezes- until she realizes how quickly they can fucking come at her and she bolts, too terrified to even fight. Corey: Cazadors. She’s been attacked and almost died from their venom at least three times. Rebecca: Super Mutant Suiciders. The second she hears that beeping she just bolts for the nearest, highest covered area. 

26) How do they come off to others? What first impression do they usually make?Lexa: Gives off ridiculous Mom energy, even when she’s just out of her teens. She’s got the Child at Heart perk, which is another reason as to why when they’re reunited years later, Maccready refers to her as “Ma” and jokingly introduces her as the closest thing he had to a mother. Corey: ‘Good person, but don’t cross her.’ Which is not remotely the vibe she’s going for. She wants to be a good person and to be approachable but there’s just something about the way she walks and wields her guns that make people weary. Rebecca: Also massive mom energy, but with a shroud of mystery so they’re skeptical about trusting her- also not something Rebecca wants. She wants to be able to approach people for answers, not have them super weary around her.

Bio:  Grew up in a wealthy family, one of the middle children of four siblings. Only got along with her twin brother and younger sister when it came to her family. Tried to distance herself from her family as much as possible when she was of age to do so, so she signed up for the Mohave Express. She’s one of the few Couriers around who knows not to ask questions about parcels, so she’s not very surprised when Benny and the others ambush her. She takes a shot to the head and survives, though with no memory of her life before. When she wakes up in Goodsprings she takes to the doctor and Sunny so she stays for a while until she volunteers to escort a group of travelers down to the Strip. When asked for her name, she says it’s ‘Corey’ because she figures she can’t use her profession as a name, but Corey is a happy medium- it sounds like a name but it’s still the career. The group has her leave after she dispatches Vulpes, claiming she’s too dangerous for them. Discouraged but hardly surprised, she carries on, ends up in Nipton, does Boone’s mission and the pair of them leave for there, picking up the others along the way. She begins to harbor a crush on Boone but doesn’t dare act on it after finding out all the details about his wife and the mess surrounding her. She eventually Black Widows Benny, shuts down Mister House, and upon finding out she’s on thin ice with a lot of the factions just from staying as neutral as she can, once she takes out Caesar she heads back to the Lucky 38 to stay out of everyone’s way and let them kill each other over politics. Her companions leave and she keeps busy by doing odd jobs around the Strip that the King offers her. Once again she’s caught in the wrong place at the wrong time where two groups of raiders are trying to kill each other, and then upon realizing who stumbled upon the war, try to kill her. By sheer chance, Boone is is the area and investigates the commotion, realizes it’s Corey and saves her- much to his own chagrin. He still ends up deciding to stay with her from there on out anyway, considering he’s ‘had nowhere to go’ and he ‘can’t even leave her alone for three years without her nearly dying.’ He moves into the Lucky 38 and helps her with varying jobs. On one such job, they encounter Corey’s family who’s very insistent that her name is Addison, and she has to let them down gently about everything. She has a bad feeling about her parents, but agrees to keep in touch with her siblings. She tries going by Addison for a while but absolutely hates it and doesn’t believe that the name is ‘hers’ anymore, and sticks with ‘Corey.’ Boone eventually realizes he’s in love with her, and the pair end up starting a relationship, agreeing to go as slow as possible with zero expectations. Later, when they meet Lexa and Corey, they volunteer to stay with Lexa and help out with her caravan business around Megaton, content to leave all of New Vegas’ bullshit behind them.

Tell me about Corey - give me the rundown of her playthrough/route as Courier, DLC included

Pre-bullet to the head, she was Addison Burke, who lived just outside of the Wastes. Inciting Incident happens, she doesn’t let anything distract her. She really only picks up Boone, Arcade and Lily along the way, and that’s just because they were along her main path/she read: I   got lost at some point and dumped myself off in the corner. She tried to steer clear of the NCR vs Legion stuff, killed Vulpes in Nipton because they attacked first point blank, she killed Caesar on accident because she just stumbled upon the camp in her travels (Bethesda how the fuck was that even possible for me to do). Black Widowed the shit out of Benny and killed his worthless ass, took over the Strip, went along with Yes Man for a while and killed Mr. House but stopped when the other factions gave her those cease and desist orders, then had to go kill Lanius so everyone would just stop fucking fighting and leave her in peace.  DLCs- the ultimate cliffnotes version because I’ve only done… 3 out of the 4 of them and it was in the span of like… four days. My 360 has been on for a month because I fired it up to start Dead Money but forgot about it. Lonesome Road: Walked the Road, let Elijah live and convinced him to help her in the final fight because she’s got mad (read: maxed) speech skillz, took ED-E back with her because fuck you she could repair that poor little guy and have TWO ED-Es. Honest Hearts: Befriended Joshua, evacuated the Sorrows and kept them protected against the White Legs, helped Joshua fight… … idk the big boss, whatever his name was, but let him live. Old World Blues: Helped the scientists, kept them alive out of spite, also took Gabe and  Stripe home with her to show them how they should be treated- properly and lovingly. Boone and Arcade nearly have aneurisms the second they see Stripe. Dead Money: Again, haven’t played it yet but from what I’ve heard if it’s optional she’s probably gonna kill the shit out of Dean and lock whats his face in the Vault.

Between being back on my Fallout bullshit and knowing y’all only care about Nic, indecision won out so here, three facts for three of my ladies:

Deputy Nic Raylan

1) Made it her mission in high school to be the Nice Popular Girl. Fuck the popularity and social standing of being a cheerleader, she was going to be friendly with the “weird” crowd that her teammates bullied because she was ‘far better than that.’

2) ^ Despite that policy, at age 17 she got involved with the ‘wrong crowd.’ It lasted a grand total of a week because she and that set of people got arrested one night. Whitehorse just happened to be on patrol/their arresting officer. Nic called him “Dad” sarcastically when he went to lecture her considering their past, she stayed mad ten minutes until she gave herself a reality check, just about burst into tears and promised Whitehorse he was ‘the best dad I’m ever gonna have, I love you, please don’t hate me.”

3) Post Collapse she opens up an animal refuge near Prosperity to try and get some of the fauna population back in order. A good portion of the animals end up borderline domesticated, however, most of all their cougar Cobbler, so the refuge kind of leaks into Prosperity itself, much to John’s chagrin. The man’s got three kids and a small population to deal with, he doesn’t wanna add to the list, but Nic just bats her eyelashes a bit and he lets her do whatever she wants.

Courier Addison Corey

1) Gained a crush on Boone because he was the quiet type and let her do her own thing instead of getting all up in her business compared to a lot of the people in her life, but didn’t actively pursue it because she knew she couldn’t compete with a ghost- until four years after the game events when it’s equally reciprocated.

2) She combats her amnesia by letting the companions fill in some of the blanks. Arcade thinks she looks 27, perfect, she’s 27. Raul thinks she sounds like she’s from the East, she’s from the East- probably New New York.

3) She goes by the name “Corey” because it’s the closest thing to a name she’s got after the Benny altercation. A few years after everything she’s traveling with Boone when her actual family finds her and calls her by her real name Addison. She tries to go by that for a while but switches back to Corey because it’s hers now.

Lone Wanderer Lexa

1) She was quite taken with Megaton so after her whole ordeal is over and she watches Lyons sacrifice herself for everyone (because that should’ve been the actual dialog, fuck off) she decides to settle down there. She and Billy Creel start off a relationship and eventually marry.

2) During a trip to the Commonwealth she runs into the Sole Survivor and her two boyfriends- one of which is flabbergasted about seeing her. He calls her a mungo and she realizes it’s little Mayor MacCready all grown up. He calls her “Ma” jokingly. She loves every second of it.

3) Will never ever forgive Amata for kicking her out of the Vault after saving them all again.
