Claws was originally spawned in Lost Temple with no bio parents to be seen. They were quickly taken in by The Church of the True Eye and raised within their walls.

Now see, I have this headcannon that in the Cult of the True Eye once a demon reaches a certain age within the cult they get their eye yoinked by some means-

Its an indoctrination/coming of age kind of ritual that happens when a demon is 18.

Claws, being spawned into and raised in TCotTE already knew of this tradition and chose to just. Not think about it, because the thought frightened them. But when the time finally came, they got scared, and retaliated- not with the intention to cause fatal harm to anyone, mind you.

Some unnamed demon who was a little too trigger happy fired a ranged weapon at her, it hit her in the right side of her face, though the damage wasn't lethal it still left a nasty scar.

Her eye is still there! Just completely blind and a little painful to open. So she's lost it basically.

She spent a few days in a medical room, healing and letting her mind fester. At some point she broke out of said medical room through a window, went back home in the middle of the night, stole some essentials and her gear, then fled.

She found her way to Crossroads [dont ask me how] stumbled into the first shop she could find, asked for water and a moment of shelter.

Luckily they had stumbled into Paint Brush's shop on a slow work day, so- seeing how nasty Claws looked, he offered her a job and a place to stay.

Few months after that they somehow found out "ring phights" were a thing and signed up for the extra money, thats where they met Coil.

Hey! Redshift here. Just wanted to make a little announcement, since I've been getting a few asks about things outside of phighting...

This blog is meant to be in-universe. Frostbrand is an in-universe OC. The beans are the only change to base phighting that exist (though you are free to go haywire about your own hcs about inphernals & phighting, just note that not everyone has to obey those hcs). The crossover beans do not canonize the existence of the other games within this universe. After all, this blog is designed for Phighting specifically. It's a bit of a worldbuilding passion project of mine, and while it does rely on the phandom and community and what others create--the core of the worldbuilding for this universe is something I've worked hard to create and master, and I'm not entirely comfortable with straying outside of the canon I've created.

That being said: I will not answer asks about beans relating to other fandoms (such as Forsaken, Regretevator, or Blocktales unless regarding the specific crossover beans and exclusively them). I likely won't answer asks canonizing creatures that don't exist either within phighting or within real life (midnight crows, the water cat critters, actual cats or dogs ect are fine! Animals that exist from other fandoms or bean-adjacent things relating to other fandoms (or outside of fandoms really) are not.)

I will answer asks (in character) about canon/skin beans, phighting oc beans (granted I won't have the necessary information), skin concept beans, au beans, and Frostbrand's lore.

I really didn't want to make a post like this, but I've been seeing a bit of an uptick in asks that in some way shape or form stray heavily from phighting in the ways I've mentioned above, and it's sorta breaking the immersion and fun to try to solve how to handle decanonizing those things without sounding rude or dismissive. Everyone's ideas are awesome! But this blog isn't exactly the right place for some of them, yknow?

All that being said... I'd like to keep this blog generally canon-adjacent, with creative liberty within the bounds of a phighting world with beans. I'm sorry if this shoots down any ideas or concepts, but I'm happy to hear what everyone has to say in universe!

I MADE 3 PHIGHTING OC'S WHAT.

120 layers and 6 hours (of just drawing) later

the middle one has been a long time brewing and the other 2 came as I was scrolling the factions and saw the birds again.

Heartsong is a drag queen, He is very clumsy and is terrible with the sword. They are super sociable but very cautious of those they are unfamiliar with after a previous encounter with an inphernal left them blind in one eye. They aren't fond of leaving Playground, finding comfort in their home and the familiar streets, however, someone has been trying to convince them to go out more during night to watch music performances. He made the wings they wear on their head from scratch and to scale as he idolized the Lovedoves flying around, making it part of their outward persona.

Fae (aka Fairy Axe) is man of few words. Unassuming in appearance she is quick to strike those who threaten a tree he has deemed sacred and protects. She finds nature mystical and capable of things that only few gears could do. He trained hard to ensure that her axe would only cause harm to those who deserved it, but also loving to participate in Phights when he gets the chance. She doesn't care for urbanization, down right disliking it due to how it can harm the 'magic' in nature.

W.G (aka Winged Guitar or Night Crow) is one of the few viable sources of entertainment in Blackrock, being a support and musician it was hard to even get approved to do so. They are very careful about their music, most of it either being subtle propaganda for Blackrock or just something to life the mood of the cold and hard environment. However, at night, they have a small underground club for those who want something different, playing all different types of music from all different regions, preferring a more heavy and rock style.

@venomoftheshank Originally Sisyphus wasn’t supposed to have a demon form but @/the-post-crow offered an idea with their character Sayf (which Venomshank named thinking he was a normal crow) after Sayf died he passed his ability onto Sisyphus to help Venomshank go through the grief of losing his family and some of his crows.

@follower-sword Follower is cursed with an obedience curse. No one’s knows about this, not even follower himself. The only one that knows is Sianachkit since he can sense curses. He just never told him. So follower casually just listens to whatever Star says but when Star commands him to do something he does it out of his control.

@reckless-weasel I was originally going to have Hover suffer more than he does now but Windy said I was basically torturing him at that rate so I just stuck to the part that he’s just in pain all the time. (Me slowly becoming Spiral:)

@angel-of-light without intervention, Illumina was supposed to die after the incident at the party. If no one was able to save him I would’ve had Firebrand bring him to rest in the waters where he would turn into a sea dragon and he would be that way from now on.

Although after the Captain Rocket skin came out Windy came up with lore for it and I changed it from imprisoning people to become Gladiators for no reason other than to sell them to Lantias, to they are prisoners Phighting for their freedom.

@ms-dark-space originally she was supposed to be a Darkheart sona but then I put her into my original story, making her the God of Time and Space.

Im honestly surprised people seem to like them a lot! I put more work into magestaff than i did into them so its just funny to me.

Anywho. They are my self insert! Playground born and raised. They have an undeniable whimsy and dont like phighting, so they arent a phighter. Rather, they work a 9-5 at bloxdonalds cause i thought it was funny. They’re friends with skate, and while they try to get along with coil i honestly dont think they’d mesh well. Theyre tentative friends at best.

Outside of their faction, relations are a bit standard. They dont really know all the phighters that well, but are acquainted with slingshot since he and skate are friends, and the rest of thieves den by proxy. They’re also a really big fan of katana, and has probably asked for his autograph.

They also have a friend in lost temple, pen! She’s my friend @maple-monarch’s oc. Although they dont like anyone else in lost temple since theyre all criminals.

if they were a phighter, theyd be a support with speeding and slowing, as well as a small amount of regen. For the phinisher, think the soda special from splatoon 3. Their attacks would probably also be like the fizzy bomb.

Their favorite color is purple, theyre 5’3, they love fast food and love to read. They (obviously) use They/them but it/its is cool too, and also theyre aroace. For the phestivals they would’ve been team blue, scrambled, chocolate, sun, rat, relax, violet, ice cream, possessed, crow. anything ive missed is in the Bloxy cola/Bloxxy cola tags!
