New Jersey seagulls will sell your soul for a Newport cigarette and one single boardwalk French fry. They’d take your keys and your kidneys if they could. I have been attacked multiple times by them. NEVER by a crows. Groups of crows shouldn’t be called murders. Groups of seagulls or maybe geese though? They absolutely earned it.

growing up by the coast means that instead of crows on your roof you get seagulls and it honestly feels much more threatening

Harvesting in the spiderwebs. I have seen my crows do this before, but I only realized when I took this video, that they don't eat the spiders, but that they get the insects the spiders caught, carefully get them out of the spiderweb packaging and then eat them. That makes you think if they have realized that by letting the spiders live that they can come back later and harvest some more of the spider's prey.

It only recently started snowing here in my usually cold, baltic country lol! Winter was particulary late this year, so this comic was a coping mechanism because it has become one of my favourite seasons :D I'm just uncomfortably hot any other time!!

I'm not an expert, I know nothing about ornithology or biology or zoology or wildlife science or animal behaviours or animal intelligence, but sometimes I think about the fact that birdwatchers in Toronto observed a raven learn how to mimic crow calls, make a nest with a crow and raise a pair of crow-raven hybrids the birdwatchers referred to as cravens and I just think. That's gotta be love, baby.
