Ramblings under the cut!

The general idea is that the AU follows a similar story structure to Cuphead, but the lore is similar to Gravity Falls. There's just one key difference: everyone can see and interact with Bill. He just can't really interact with our world. Yet.

Bill is a projection, brought forth by Gideon Gleeful. He would allow Bill free presence, and in return, Bill basically made him famous, AND his Earthen right-hand. So he takes the place of King Dice.

From there, the history is almost the same as GF. Ford came here to investigate anomalies, found Gravity Falls, met Bill, and started building a portal. The possession came with a different cost this time, though; Ford's soul. Bill promised he'd be in good hands and that it's just kinda part of the gig, but because of this, Bill's ability to possess him never left.

Once Ford got the metal plate installed, Bill was limited, sure, but he still had control of the soul contract, meaning he could basically just. Force Ford to do shit. The main limiting factor here is that he has to know where Ford is and has to be able to see him. If he can't see him, he can't control him. Once Ford is in the multiverse, this is the main reason Bill can't get him. He doesn't know where Ford is.

The main story is just everyone in Gravity Falls making really really stupid mistakes. The only person who has not fallen for Bill's games is Stan, who- like Elder Kettle- tried to warn the twins about making bad deals, but ultimately this fell through when they got curious and visited Gideon's tent, where Bill was also observing.

In my interpretation of this AU, Pacifica takes the place of Ms Chalice. She's hurt and alone, and her dad made a deal with Cipher that resulted in. this. I like to think it was a Monkey's Paw type scenario, but my brain is an egg so I'll figure that one out later. Basically Pacifica wants her body back (ghost rules the same as the DLC), so she decides to help Dipper and Mabel under the belief that they can assist her once Bill is defeated.

However, this falls through. However the deal worked, it persists, and Pacifica starts to wonder if she'll always be a ghost. But that's where Ford comes in.

Ford, taking the place of Saltbaker (kinda? kinda.), offers to try and help her restore her physical form. Call in the twins and let's be off let's go. He says he needs to build a machine that could potentially reverse the effects permanently, and he needs parts. So that's what the twins are doing. The cookie is replaced with an astro-physical restorative remote, but a really, really weak one, and it requires a host to work, keeping the idea that one of them will always be a ghost until the machine is done.

The only problem with this plan is that Ford's contract with Bill is not up, and was not destroyed by Dipper and Mabel, and Bill can see him now. So. In short, that ain't Ford.

The parts the kids were gathering were for the portal.

Once they figure that out, we get a Baking the Wondertart equivalent, Bill is defeated, and in doing so, Ford is freed of the contract as well, meaning Bill can't mess with him anymore.

Not sure if Bill lives all the way to the end of this story, but there is a good chance unless I figure out how to kill him, seeing as Weirdmageddon probably doesn't happen here.

Gotta think on it more, but that's the basic idea. First draft. All of this is subject to change hdfsdfjh

"Role Reversal" _ wip sketch The Showman and the Gangster Fanart/fancomics: King Dice show/ Mr. King Dice game / The Devil show / The Devil game (The Cuphead Show / Cuphead the Game by netflix / MDHR studio) What if they swapped for a day? I noticed some character differences between them, and I think they are enough material to create funny situations. 😁 For example, KD game is much less rigid and tends to quietly invade Devil game's personal space, something the latter doesn't seem to care about. Furthermore, although he appears elegant and confident, he does not seem particularly vain, unlike KD Show. Another interesting difference is that KD game is more interested in gambling and seems to make it a matter of life, while KD show seems totally immersed in his shoman life.

The design history of Over the Garden Wall's Beast is a perfect display of something people tend to forget: before getting iconic, ideal characters, they always go through TONS of different shapes and iterations.

Especially when you take the Beast's history of designs in reverse. First you're dropped that the "final" form of the Beast was a last-minute change, as he was originally supposed to be an actual gigantic humanoid beasts in rags before being this tree-like humanoid:

Then you see the many, many monster designs testing out the idea of this "shadowy, dangerous, ominous beast of the foggy night":

Then you go back further in time and you see how The Beast was actually born of various "prototype characters", such as the original concept of The Woodsman being a villain, or this idea of a "Dogman" which would have had a whole opera-tragic backstory (imagine how different the show would have been if the Beast had a backstory):

And finally you get to see what the Beast started out as... And it's just the Devil from Cuphead.

Another good lesson about how, when a series is in development, characters change drastically.

Stuck in the Wrong Body

It started with a stone.

They were deep in the forest ruins, arguing over whether they should rest or keep moving when Boris tripped over something. A strange, glowing rock embedded in the moss.

Naturally, Cuphead touched it.

In an instant, the world twisted.

There was a blinding flash, a thunderous THUMP... and then silence.

Felix, blinking groggily, sat up… only to realize he now had paws. Looking down, he groaned, “...Boris?”

Indeed. Felix was now trapped in Boris’s body.

Felix (in Boris): “Well, at least this one doesn’t creak when I stand. Practical.” Immediately begins strategizing how to reverse the curse.

Cuphead opened his eyes and gasped… then smirked. He was in Felix’s body.

Cuphead (in Felix): “Oi, look at me! I’m British! I drink sadness and sarcasm for breakfast.” Strikes a dramatic pose with an imaginary teacup. “‘Oh, the gears of destiny must grind…’” Felix (in Boris): “Stop that.” Cuphead (still mimicking): “I’m the blueprint daddy!”

Bendy, now significantly taller, looked down at his long limbs in confusion. He was in Mugman’s body.

Bendy (in Mugman): “Whoa. Long legs. I’m like a demon gazelle now.”

Mugman, blinking rapidly, stared at his tiny black hands. Then at the tail. Then at the horns.

Mugman (in Bendy): “NO. NOPE. I’M IN THE DEMON. I’M THE DEMON. THIS IS A CURSE.”

And then the worst part— He turned just in time to see Cuphead (in Felix) and Bendy (in Mugman) flirting.

Cuphead (in Felix): “Hey short stuff, you’re looking awfully tall today. That torso doing something to me.”

Mugman (in Bendy): “STOP. NO FLIRTING. I’M IN THERE. I AM IN THAT BODY. I REFUSE TO WATCH MYSELF KISS AN OLD MAN.”

Felix (in Boris): offended “I’m 38. That’s not old.”

Cuphead (in Felix): “Then why do your knees sound like microwave popcorn?”

Meanwhile, Boris, now in Cuphead’s body, was giddy.

Boris (in Cuphead): “Cool! I got magic fingers!” Attempts to shoot sparks. Nothing happens. Tries again. Accidentally slaps himself. “…Still cool.”

Total Disaster:

Cuphead kept flirting with Bendy to mess with Mugman.

Mugman kept covering Bendy’s (his own) eyes with his demon hands, yelling “DON’T LOOK AT HIM LIKE THAT.”

Felix (as Boris) was calmly trying to decode the stone’s magic while everyone else was panicking.

Boris (as Cuphead) accidentally set a bush on fire.

Bendy (as Mugman) used his new height to pretend to be suave, walking into a tree branch.

Cuphead (in Felix’s body) screamed dramatically about suddenly having back pain.

Mugman finally snapped and chased both of them yelling, “IF ANYONE KISSES IN MY BODY I’M BITING SOMEONE.”

Eventually, after some accidental chanting and a lot of yelling, the stone lit up again and everyone swapped back.

They all flopped to the ground, exhausted.

Bendy (back in his body): “I missed being bite-sized.” Cuphead (stroking his face): “You’re perfect size for pocket love.” Mugman: visibly traumatized Felix: “Next time, no touching shiny rocks.” Boris: “...Can I still shoot sparks?”

Ok guys so I made a casino cups au and this ks the story for it:

Ok so it ain't finished but the context is that It's like a reversed au with casino cups kind of. So basically Cuphead and Mugman take the place of miss Chalice and Mugman is the god of the moon and Cuphead is the god of the sun and they both have a temple in Haven where they both rule but Cuphead went to explore on earth as usual but some demons figured out he was a God so they capured him in the museleum. As for Chalice she is a history obsessed (like Mugman) and was in NEED to find out about the Calix animi so she went to The Devil for answers he promised that he will give her the wisdom of a Goddess if she gets the soul contracts she did so but she was tired after a while and went to the muelum. Mugman was missing his brother so much since he was gone for over 3000 years he even has a line where he said "You're sun is so beautiful brother, wherever you are...", Anyways Chalice went to the museleum and freed Cuphead, he helped her with the Devil and Mugman came down on earth and re united with his brother.Also they defeated the Devil cause he lied about the whole Goddess wisdom

After arriving home from Santa’s ritual, the father and son go through painful transformations. The Devil takes in the form of Santa himself and reluctantly takes Henchmen to the North Pole to reverse the curse.

Meanwhile, Bendy sneaks out to stroll around town and meets with a beautiful woman named Alice who claims she is an angel assigned to the demon to earn her wings by helping him.

However, Bendy goes through a painful transformation into a goat like form!

Bendy arrives at the North Pole to meet up with his dad in his new form.

According to the Stickler Elf, the Devil has taken the role of Santa and Bendy has taken the form of Krampus, the anti Santa who delivers punishment and torture to naughty children.

To turn back to normal they have to perform their duties and deliveries. Bendy gets to scare naughty kids into cleaning up their act or stay in bed before Santa arrives to their homes, with the help of Alice.

When Bendy learns that Cuphead is deemed Extremely Naughty and to be placed in his Basket of Tricks, he refuses. Alice comforts him believing that it is alright to show mercy but discover his name vanished, which meant they completed their mission.

Alice is then granted a pair of wings as God promised and brought back to Heaven.

The Devil is forced to be kind towards Cuphead and reluctantly gives away the Choo Choo that he and Bendy wanted. After that, the Devil and Bendy’s names get on the Nice List.

The curse is lifted from the father and son and instead of getting a Choo Choo, Santa says their ‘gift of niceness and mercy’

They don’t take it well and wake up depressed on Christmas morning until they spot a giant train for Bendy and the Devil to ride on. Santa did come after all, and their happiness that they had every Christmas was brought back. It was truly a Christmas miracle!
