Continued from here. Arina’s ears twitched at the sound of the small army of choppers, making her hold on Liukka’s arm subconsciously strengthen for a moment. “Mmm... certainly not the sound I was expecting to wake up to.” The druid sat up in the bed next to her lower and stretched. “Since they’re almost here, time to see if my gambit succeeded or not.” The druid reached up and started to unwrap the bandages that kept the compress over her bruised eye during the night. Slowly, she tried to open her eye. It finally opened to a slit. “Oww... it still hurts, so I won’t be able to keep it open for longer periods yet, so I will still need your help, Liu... but I can finally see again!” They shared a kiss just before the door opened. The nightelf didn’t interrupt anything, merely sitting on the bed, closing and resting eye after watching Cynthn walk in.

“I’m so glad...” She hugged Liukka again once it became clear the engineered eye prosthetic worked. “An hour huh? Cynthn, during that time, can you please check my foot and ankle again? I’d like to walk too if possible. Also, any ideas so I can keep my eye open a little longer without making it hurt or make the swelling worse again?

Waking up.

Conciousness came brutally fast to Cynthn, waking up to excruciating pain, among the things that had killed her during the crashing of this space vehicle was a spike that had gone through her right lung.  She didn’t appreciate the sarcastic voice that taunted her.

“Who...fuck....you?”  She didn’t need optical enhancements to tell her things that were wrong, she could feel the blood pooled in her lungs, it was so hard to talk, so hard to breath.

“Lucifer, you should thank me, you’re alive again.”

“Want...stay...alive...be...help...”

He rolled his eyes....

“Fine, but can you get me some of those gadgets you have in you?”

She passed out as he pulled the spike out, the pain was too much for her, she woke again halfway into being healed, the drop off of pain had her eyes rolling back in her head.

“Here.” He handed her a flashlight.

“Can you take it from here, or is your reputation a little over inflated?” He gave her a business card.

“any more help I give you and you’ll have a debt to pay.”

Lucifer vanished, the tech head woman would likely be able to get herself sorted out from here.  He had others to help before he could claim his realm and put a terrible number of wrongs...right.

While Lucifer struggled to put his thoughts to words, Lilith was tak7ng a quiet look into heaven through the eyes of a friend. Watching a group of angels headed towards Lucifers interest,, she didn't like what she saw,, suddenly she was a frenzy of action and directives.

"you, find Lucifer tell him to meet me at the old sign post north of here. you, get word to Cynthn, tell her go to the edge of town west of here,bring Raventoes and as much medical stuff as they can stuff in that truck of theirs.

She hurried north and went into an altered state. Appearing as an elusive shadow.

" Alqarmeh you must come with me, you are in great danger, we must be quick, I will lead you." She lead Alqarmeh through several near problematic situations until they came face first with an angel who appeared to be waiting.

"Greetings, I'm a friend of a friend. You are between a rock and a hard place, they're coming to kill you, we must leave, I'm afraid you're going become human and this is going to hurt us both."

"Do it then, let us leave."

A dull thud and they were west of the encampment/village.

Alqarmeh hit the ground hard, there was sounds she had never heard before, sharp crack sounds and this new sensation that felt like it was going overwhelming her, she managed a strangled groan of pain in response to suffering several broken bones.

The friend crawled over to her.

"This was a lot harder than I believed it would be. Oh not good, you're not looking good. here." There was a sigh of resignation.

He could only heal some of her wounds.

"I'm sorry, that's all I could do, tell Lucifer I paid the debt."

Alqarmeh barely registered the message, still in pain. Right as a large truck rolled up with Cynthn and Raventoes jumping out.

"Plesde try to remain still, I need to examine you for injuries, can you tell me your name?”

Raventoes shook her head, her face grim.

Alqarmeh whimpered, she had no idea who it was that had just gave their life so she could spend a few more years interacting with Lucifer... time was short now, eternity was... just gone. It was overwhelming.

She was carefully put on a stretcher, her back felt odd. Carried into a large vehicle, she was examined in greater detail.

“Awkward question, I need to ask these, days, but can you tell me what you are, helps so I don’t give you something that’s bad for you, like human, werewolf, vampire, angel, demon, etc”

“Angel, no...” she started sobbing and manage to say “Human.” Cynthn looked at Raventoes, was this a fallen angel, that must suck so bad.

“Drive, North East, I’ll get her fixed up.”

The fallen angel was in better shape by the time they met the old vampire. The angel had yet to be located,

“She’s going to live, she’s going to be a little bit out of it, shock and pain medication, and she’s going to need a lot of love and a lot of therapy based on what she’s told me.”

“What? she’s an angel... she’s not going to need any of that."

Cynthn looked down, decided that blunt truth was best.

“She’s fallen, the other angel she came here with... they didn’t survive.”

Alqarmeh pulled off the oxygen mask mementarily

“Lucifer, the debt was paid..I don’t know who he was, but he paid dearly.” She had no idea Lucifer was not there.

Despite how calm she looked on the outside, Arina was panicking hard and groaned. "Of course I had to step on something like that. Didn't you say this area was supposed to be safe?" She grumbled, hiding her face in her hands.

"Wait, why would I need this to protect me from Li- Gaahhh!" The druid couldn't even finish the question as the shifting werevamp's body slammed into hers, knicking the air out of her lungs despite the armored vest.

Despite Liukka's best efforts, the landing didn't go smoothly, and Arina couldn't help a small groan as her lover untangled her hand from around her, but the elf's expression quickly changed to concern while Liukka was holding her ankle with gritted teeth.

"I’m right here. You found me in time, I’m right here..." And it was her turn to help. She murmured, cupping the werevamp's face as she wanted to shrug off the injury.

"It's okay, love... let's get this off first." Unbuckling Liu's combat boot was a small challenge in itself, but Arina kept squeezing her hand from time to time in reassurance. It was finally off, more than worth the effort since this was one of the werevamp's favorite pair.

"That's my girl." She winked -even if it was hard to tell with only one eye, flashing a brilliant smile at Liukka and leaned in for a quick kiss. She shrugged off the vest , wincing slightly at the pain in her side - it was likely all bruised now, perfect for the werevamp to kiss better later- and folded it to gently prop Liukka's bare, quickly swelling foot and ankle on it.

"Just relax, I'm here... thanks to you." Arina whispered, giving Liu a lap pillow and leaned down for another kiss before starting to type on the device that alerted them of the whole fiasco.

"Hey Cynthn, we need some medical help, and I have no idea how far we are from the ughh... blast zone or something it's called?" Using the comm was still a new experience, but she could use the basic functions alright by now.

With the text sent, Arina continued stroking Liukka's hair while waiting for the medic to arrive, losing herself in their kisses while holding her lover.

Keeping well in mind two things, one the ridiculous complaint that men had about being friendzoned, the second the extremely valid concern and fear women had regarding their male friends and being fuckzoned, that their male friends were only pretending to be their friends in hopes that at some point enough kindness points were dropped in a womans hands so they'd fuck their generously kind male friends... Lucifer had correctly concluded that Iseult needed a true friend, someone who was a friend just because they simply enjoyed each others company and had common interests, and thought that every woman should have a friend who is supportive and encouraging without any of the complicated and messy/problematic stuff that came with trying to change relationships like that.

He'd persuaded Cynthn to loan him that moving picture panel thing and some of the foods he liked, not that he ate much, he didnt need to.

Simply snuggled up together they watched several different movies, some they laughed at, some they cried at, and some, they threw popcorn at the moving picture panel and chose a better movie.
