Top 5 SFTH Ships

I joined a new fandom on Tumblr and want to contribute, how on Earth should I do that? Oh, I know- *starts making top 5 lists*

This one's for the ships I like most from the entirety of the SFTH Youtube channel (I don't have Patreon unfortunately), which means both longform and shortform videos are in play. If any of these ships has a ship name that I'm unaware of, please let me know!

5. Bubbamiah (Inside The Mysterious Cube)

If this ship wasn’t in my top 5, I think the entire SFTH fandom would hunt me for sport, so for my own safety here it is- But I do actually love them and I have very complicated feelings about Jeremiah’s death and rebirth. Do I think it’s really him? I have no clue and actively try not to think that hard about it :) That way they can live happily ever after in my mind like the death never happened.

4. Lesbian Vampires (Thirsty Vampires)

From here on out, there’s no particular order, I just need yall to know how much I love these two. I swear I've heard the human called Anna somewhere, and idk if that was a personal or common hc, but that's what I'm gonna call her- Anyway, they made my top five and they aren’t even from a longform story, so congrats to them for that. AU where Anna really was in love with Esmeralda and doesn’t kill her please 🙏

3. Egbert x Samantha (The Leftenmost Window)

I’ll be real, it's mainly for Luke/Egbert’s beautiful love confession. Also the absolute dismissiveness in Samantha’s voice when she’s pretending not to hear the Germans, Sam had such good delivery on those lines I swear- Everything from the drama to the confession to the 2 kisses at the end, they had everything needed to make a perfect love story.

2. DIWives (Clarissa’s DIY Wedding)

Tom realized the crowd wanted lesbians and immediately did everything in his power to make Amanda one of his gayest characters ever, and I respect him for that. “That’s just silly!” *immediately sets head platonically on bestie’s shoulder. I really think that if Amanda would've brought her feelings up before the wedding was about to happen, it could've gone so much better for her. They truly should’ve been endgame 😔

1. Ditch (The Unrelenting Aubergine)

My absolute number one, I love them I love them I love them- I knew I'd be obsessed with them from the moment Derek first called Titch ‘love’, but I think what really cemented their relationship as a fav (and this honestly also goes for Derek as a character) was when Titch went offstage and Derek paused to say, in complete admiration ‘I love you’. God they're sweet, I'm so glad they got the happy ending they deserved.

Next post will be a top 10 character list, then idk my signature move when I'm new to a fandom, queer headcanons? Just general headcanons maybe? Within a few days (hopefully), you'll find out

I know it's not an exact replica BUT I think I did a pretty decent job at recreating wenclair's (ophelia hall's) spider web window - considering i had no idea what i was doing half the time.

fun fact: it took 1.5hrs to complete ONLY ONE web panel bc i couldn't figure out what colour pattern i wanted to do 🥲 all this while i had the ballad of the witches' road + that's so true (gracie abrams) on loop for 5+hrs straight 😭

Broken, continued

A couple of months ago I decided to make a list of broken things (that we could, possibly, fix) both on our farm and Home Farm. I used red paper and a big Sharpie, and it got depressingly long. I was going to give it to my husband, but decided that that would come across as critical and he would likely get mad about it. I left it sitting with some other paperwork. Occasionally adding to it, as I remembered things.

About two weeks ago he saw it sitting there (because I did do a bunch of cleanup myself, and the paperwork pile got Much Smaller lol). He picked it up and found it very useful, possibly because he found it instead of me giving it to him.

Since then he has knocked quite a few things off the list, including a few things I hadn't even thought to put on there. The Toyota is running again (and de-snaked), the small tractor's tire is fixed, I could go on.

One of the more troubling things on the list was our windows. We did one hellacious summer of home reno back in 1999. We were both working full time, but also did blow-in insulation, all new windows/doors, (pink) foam-board insulation, and siding. Damned near killed us both.

It was a huge improvement to the house. However, the windows have not aged well. At this point, many of them have broken latches, cracked glass, open stiffly or not at all, or refuse to close once they are open.

Yesterday he got a spray can of lubricant that he thought would at least fix the ones that open and close stiffly. We moved furniture and plants (so many plants!) out of the way and worked on a sample of three windows. It did seem to make a noticeable difference. Also, now I can clean those windows - which I was unable to (safely) do for a couple years when they were so stiff and contrary to move!

Not just cleaning the glass, although that was certainly needed. The sill between the glass and the screen gets dirty as heck, and every bug seems determined to get in there somehow (?) and die. What a mess.

One is braced with wood because the top part won't stay up; several others have broken latches. It's distressing.

So far we have done about half of them. We're doing a few at a time, then I clean them. The ones on the back of the house have algae growing on the sill (oh, jeez). Homeownership. Has its ups and downs.

we are finally. FINALLY. after 10 years of renovating mr d's childhood house able to afford a functioning bathtub replacement.

Like most of the remaining houses in Sunnyville (formery known as Achmothogair), Sunnyville House, the headquarters of Novelties and Notions, is in a dilapidated state and in need of fairly extensive renovation. Not one of the few residents of this tiny hamlet have any money to spare – indeed most folk here have no money at all – and the state of the properties, if you could call them that, is more or less deplorable. It is not an exaggeration to say that in some cases dislodged roofing slates are held in place by glue, and the parts of buildings that threaten to fall are secured with rope.

Anyone who lives in such a remote and isolated community is necessarily resourceful, but despite their willingness to make do and mend, problems do arise when, for example, having finally managed to source some replacements from a scrap yard, the householders discover, in the last gleam of light at the end of a tedious day working on repairs, that they have been supplied with the wrong windows.

i found some wacky way to make borderless printing work...!!! it's not perfect but idk it might b ok enough until i can get a decent guillotine cutter and cut a bunch of sheets at once to size. I'll try experimenting with printing my comics and stuff sometime!!!!!
