過去画像で四阿が建っていて遺跡の説明が載ってたみたいなんだけど、どうやら随分前から既に無かったらしい🏚️

He let his eyes drift toward her sleeves, her stillness. To pull himself from reverie, he finally pressed the precious book into her hands.

"And if you’re going to read like a clerk, I’ll just use your lap instead and sleep through it."

A thin smile ghosted across his face— too easy, too practiced.

"Don’t worry. You won’t wake me. I rest very quietly when I’m disappointed."

real talk though, Coniferbreeze is a little frustrated by their situation and that’s maybe causing some tension between em. Dogrun has a bad habit of getting into fights and pushing herself too far for her clan, and Coniferbreeze is 1) frightened by that and 2) thinks Dogrun should stand to be significantly more selfish. Dogrun likes fighting, likes taking orders, likes getting bloody, and she can hold her own, but, like. Sometimes Coniferbreeze just wants to squirrel her away from it all. Eventually something’s gotta give, yknow?

Mary Bellanova rentre harassée de son travail et trouve son colocataire et petit copain affalé devant la télé. Excédée, elle prépare le repas et lui donne son assiette qu'il ne touche même pas, ses yeux restant fixés sur l'écran. Ce n'est qu'au bout d'un moment qu'elle se rend compte qu'il est raide mort. Voulant annoncer à ses proches le décès de ce bon à rien, Mary va découvrir d'autres facettes de la personnalité de Primo, ses nombreuses conquêtes féminines, le fait qu'il avait un enfant avec son ex, devenir bassiste dans le groupe de rock de cette dernière parce qu'elle n'arrive pas à lui annoncer la nouvelle, rencontrer Howard, un tatoué au grand cœur au parc à chien (dogrun) alors qu'elle était en train de disperser les cendres de son petit ami, se heurter à l'indifférence sénile de la mère de Primo et enfin finir son projet d'écriture de nouvelles autour des petits boulots précaires... Dogrun est un roman d'un écrivain newyorkais underground paru au Etats-Unis en 2000 et seulement traduit en français cette année. Une sorte de comédie anti-romantique drôle et sarcastique où une jeune femme s'embarque dans des situations intenables parce qu'elle n'arrive pas à dire ou affronter la réalité, comme par exemple se faire enrôler dans un groupe de rock féministe ou remplir de crottes de chien une urne funéraire. Lisez cet excellent roman, croisement réussi entre Nick Hornby et Charles Bukowski, et vous comprendrez !
