Heathrow's Backstory + Power Explanation

It's gonna be REALLY LONG under the cut, 3 pages worth on Google Docs, but it's all organised and separated for convenience! Heathrow's weakness is at the very end too if any villains wants to beat his ass *wink wink nudge nudge*

Gnocchi Family / Childhood

Born and raised in The Garden (city) for all his life, only moving districts once. His father, Russet Gnocchi, is the eldest son and the next heir to the family’s dining/restaurant business but chose to enter the military instead where he meets Oswald Lavigne, his life long best friend. Fritz gained his looks 100% from his father, but with the personality of his mother, Vicktoria Gnocchi, who is a nurse at a private hospital.

Russet first met Vicktoria one day at his home. He was sick and caught an illness so his parents (Fritz grandparents) hired Vicktoria to watch over and take care of him. Which led to them falling in love and later getting married. This was not accepted by Russet’s family at first, as they wanted him to marry someone more proper (rich family issues).

Anyway, Fritz was then born, raised in a loving family. For a short time, he was raised together with Colette Lavigne (1 year younger than Fritz) since Vicktoria provides milk for Chloe. Russet, Oswald, and Vicktoria took care of the children together before Oswald left with Chloe. (Ask Ena for that story!)

Powers awakening

Fast forward 15 years, Russet and Fritz were out having a father son bonding time. They had fun, but all good things come to an end. A villain attacked the area and caused quite the property damage. Russet of course protected Fritz, but who will protect him? Fritz tried his best for a 15 year old kid but seeing his father bleeding and fighting for his life is traumatizing.

A fire sparked in Fritz that day. The need to protect, to heal, to burn the villain that caused his father’s death until there was nothing left. The medics that arrived were too late but still astonished to see Russet’s dead body with no physical injuries and healed up. Fritz however burned himself pretty badly that day with his new powers.

Teen years / Gnocchi family drama

After the funeral, it was time to face the one thing Vicktoria tried to avoid, the Gnocchi family.

They wanted custody of Fritz, since he basically inherited the entire Gnocchi business when Russet died. Some stressful discussions and arguments later, they decided the Gnocchi family will continue to monitor and handle the business until Fritz turns 18 to properly make decisions.

Fritz's distant adopted cousin, Emrys Gnocchi, helped with managing the business thanks to his future visions. (More on Emrys later.) Emrys advised Vicktoria to move somewhere further from the Gnocchi family to avoid future harassment, and they did. They moved closer to the LEAF organisation.

A year after Russet’s death, Fritz decided he wanted to do more with the healing properties of his flames and started his internship at LEAF under Oswald Lavigne. He reconnects with his sister Chloe and father figure Oswald as he learns what it takes to be a support hero.

Gnocchi Family Business

By the time Fritz turned 18, he only wanted to focus on his hero/medical work. So he allowed Vicktoria and Emrys to help but he’s still legally the owner and makes the major decisions. He would simply hire people to do his work while focusing on other things in his life, such as… 

BerryFast arc /silly

Being support/medic means getting to know the heroes on a personal level and who else gets more “personal” than the billionaire playboy Sprout Seedly? Fritz, being young and a little naive, fell in love with the strawberry hero but kept his little crush to himself most times and would cherish the little moments when BerryFast would acknowledge him or flirt with him. (Playboys amirite?)

Eventually after a few years (still unsure how long exactly), after seeing BerryFast constantly having different partners, he decided to confess his love for the sake of getting it off his chest in hopes maybe he could move on from his silly celebrity crush. It was nothing special, just a small comment at the end of BerryFast’s monthly medical check up. Imagine his shock when BerryFast actually accepted him!

And so they dated and eventually got married! Huzzah! (timeline still being worked on)

Vicktoria was still alive during the marriage ceremony but at some point had died due to a rare disease or health complications. (still deciding what exactly)

During their marriage is when Chloe goes to Norlock for a few months. During her absence is when Fritz’s marriage gets a bit rocky. It always has been, but Fritz saw it more clearly after Chloe left since his only support now is Sprout.

Two weeks before Chloe's return home, a villain attack left a drastic lightning shaped scar on the right side of Fritz's face, as well as leaving his right eye partially blind. The fight was long, he had been separated from his team for a while by then. His energy was drained when he passed out soon after getting struck. Luckily his husband BerryFast was there to save him and bring him to safety.

Eventually Chloe comes home, being the supportive sister she is for his brother and trying her best to help but eventually after a few months or less, Fritz and Sprout have a divorce.

The playboy continues to play and Fritz is left broken hearted for some time, his only support being his sister. He even almost turned twisted from the stress but Chloe was there to help. (heh imagine if she wasn’t there /j)

Present Day

Fritz, now 27 years old, has grown more quiet and reserved, far different from his young self despite not being that old. He lost a lot but gained a lot too. He focuses on his work and his sister, becoming the overprotective brother he is today. He’s now Head of the Medical Department as he takes over Oswald’s role. He takes his work incredibly seriously. Every patient is worth saving.

The family’s restaurant business is still successful, having a chain in almost every city. Fritz and Emrys still check up on the restaurants every month or so, as well as each individual restaurant when they have the chance. The Gnocchi family doesn’t bother him much since they get a large share of the profits, whatever makes them quiet.

Fritz’s powers

Fire manipulation with healing properties. The image below shows how it works;

Due to dealing with fire on a daily basis, Fritz has grown an immunity to the flames over time. But there is one flame that still hurts him, which is his black flames. He remembers using it the day Russet died but he was never able to summon it again ever since. 

Weakness

He is NOT weak to water since he’s not actually made of fire and only controls it, in case you’re wondering that. Even with water, too much fire can evaporate water or any liquid.

So to defeat Fritz is to attack him, not his flames.

Fritz lacks actual battle and fighting experience. To get to him, the villain would need to separate him from the other heroes.

But even then, he’s still capable of defending himself and his flames really are VERY hot to get close to, so what now?

Wear him down. If the villain is fast, overwhelm him. If the villain can get Fritz to use his powers constantly, it’ll start draining him. If the villain is physically strong, save the strong attacks for when he’s nearing his limit. Some people use fire powers to fly but Fritz never learned how to, so if the villain can affect the surrounding area it would be better.

Signs to look for when Fritz is at his limit; he stumbles a bit, he switches his flames to lower temperatures in an attempt to save his energy, he gets a bit careless with his aim, he’s constantly looking around in hopes that back up will arrive soon.

Fritz could hold his ground for quite a long time if done right. Minimum 10 minutes if he’s constantly using his hottest flames, maximum 2 hours if he’s strategic enough to save energy.

Yes HOURS. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep people safe but this is just a what if scenario. He also trains his endurance with team Hibiscus (or just Chloe) occasionally.

If the villain gets lucky, hooray! They killed Fritz in less than 30 minutes!

If not, good luck trying to kill him before backup arrives!

Glisten: Awww~ Shrimpo, you remembered Shrimpo: B*tch I'm in LOVE with you, of course I REMEMBERED! Glisten: What!? Wait really?? This is very sudden wow! (You said you were straight?) Shrimpo: AAAAAAAAAA

Finn: (yapping) Shrimpo and Glisten: SHUT THE F*CK UP, FINN!! Shrimpo and Glisten: ... Shrimpo and Glisten: (kissing)

The first comic takes place before the two started dating. Shrimpo is really really really bad at expressing emotions other than anger and frustration, so anytime he tries to express anything, he just blurts out his feelings without thinking. Then he gets second-hand embarrassment lol. Glisten was pretty aware that Shrimpo liked him before, but he's pretending to be surprised to make Shrimpo "feel better" (also to mildly embarrass him lol).

Also, I think that Shrimpo and Glisten bonding over hating Finn is very based and true. They need that autistic man to SHUT UP/silly

I think Shrimpo and Finn are very cousin coded. Not close enough to be siblings but definitely got some familial genes going on imo (plz don't shoot me Shrimpbowl shippers🙏🙏🙏) Doesn't stop Shrimpo from being violent towards Finn tho, and Finn does nothing to deter it lol (he finds it funny). Also, Glisten throws no punches bc he doesn't want to get his hands dirty.

Finn: Sooooo?? How was the daaaate~ Finn: No need to be such a clam about it! Shrimpo: I'M SO KILLING YOU!

The second image takes place the day after this post lol. Shrimpo is recovering from a hangover covered in lipstick kisses and super conflicting emotions and Finn is NOT helping.

On the other end, I've been thinking about Shimmer a lot lol. So here is a doodle of her with her "sister aunt" Toodles, and Pebbles.

They all get along super well. In this pic, Toodles is like 12ish and Shimmer is 4 (but her weird biology made her age up to like 7 here). Pebble is pebble, that's all you need to know.

Also, I was in a horror-ish mood earlier so here are some Twisteds <33 (below cut cuz kinda scary):

I love you angst comfort. My sib pointed out while playing one day that Shrimpo looked traumatized as a Twisted, which like, fair, but it make me think.

Glisten: "They say you are not here anymore. But I think you are."

I had this silly idea that Twisted Shrimpo was infected by Dandy personally, and that whole conflict got Shrimpo's lower jaw ripped off. He is very violent and volatile, and very hard to calm down. But, when he runs into a twisting Glisten alone and scared, he comforts him (to the best of his ability).

Since Glisten is still able to be somewhat conscious, he realizes that the Twisteds are actually not completely gone like he originally thought, and it helps him keep his sanity longer, hoping for a way out for everyone.

Willpower is a crazy thing.

On the complete opposite note, I love you horrifying freak of ichor child.

Since Shimmer was made from the ichor itself with no sort of skeleton or solid foundation, her condition is very unstable. And the problem is that her body is affected by her emotions. On a bad day, she can suffer from lots of pain and her body literally melting away. That's when she hides out and waits for her body to stabilize again.

When she completely twists, her body completely falls apart, becoming a puddle of ichor on the ground. If she was an encounterable twisted, she would work like Sprout's puddle root things, but easier to maneuver around and avoid. Also, her antenna glow.

Mini yap session aside, I think I cooked on the art lol.

First full art of the au of my fanchild? Sprout overworks a lot, but it took having a baby that bro finally got the rest of his lost sleeping hours, amen.

I like thinking Sprout doesn't really sleep much, but also it's mostly because he can't relax at all most of times. He got better nights of sleep when he had some sleepovers with the other mains, or with cosmo, and now with Dandy.

In some way Mochi also helps him sleep better :3 (Most of time because she tires him out pretty quick, babies are hard to manage bro).

Ship Showcase #1 : MoonShell! 🌙🐚

My Secret Garden(view) AU features a lot of ships, so I thought I'd explore each one, starting with my absolute fave: Astro and Shelly!

They're one of my fave meta duos. In Secret Garden, they work together as educators about ancient earth and the moon. They can be seen discussing the latest scientific breakthroughs in astronomy and paleontology, or dining together at the cafeteria, or watching over the human children during nap time. They also have the best sleepovers in Astro's room, which Marshal notes takes place a few times a week... 🤭

Shelly's huge because she downs 4 kfc buckets per day... 🍗 and Astro has gains so he can carry Shelly, because Marshal yells at him to put his 4 arms to use. 💪

So, I recently got Glisten, and he is so fun to play as. So fun to play as in fact that I constantly play distractor on accident! It's so fun (lying)!! Both images are based on a run my friend and I had together with a few randoms in a public server. It was the farthest I've ever gotten and a blast.

You ain't never seen a distractor like meee✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

On the topic of running, here are some doodles of Shrimpo and Pebble getting into conflict. Peb protects his owner, and if that means attacking the only dude who could pummel him in hand-to-hand combat, so be it lol.

Luckily Shrimpo doesn't like getting bit, so Dandy and Pebble get to live another day.

Domestic slice-of-life stuff. I think Shimpo has insomnia but tends to find comfort and sleep in human contact. Toodles has nightmares on occasion and appreciates snuggling when they occur. Glisten isn't the cuddly type, but when the people in his life need comfort, he's willing to put up with the cuddles lol. Also Glisten sleeps with an ungodly number of pillows.

Also, a funny idea I had about how short Shrimpo is compared to Glisten. That's how Glisten sees him lol.

Her name is Shimmer, and she's based on an Asian Glass Shrimp (for hopefully obvious reasons). She's a sweet girl who is really really nosy lol. Just imagine Gwen from the movie Migration lol.

Also, no toons have ever created a toon themselves (it's only done if the humans working there made one by using the ichor machines), so Dandy is kinda flabbergasted about the whole thing. Ima leave it up to interpretation how they did it (cuz I have my personal hc that I'll share if people show interest lol) but it's not sexual lol.
