NASA's SpaceX Crew-10 to explore deep space exercise and health
During NASA's SpaceX Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station, which is scheduled to launch in March, select members of the four-person crew will participate in exercise and medical research aimed at keeping astronauts fit on future long-duration missions.
Crew members living and working aboard the space station have access to a designated training area outfitted with a weight-lifting system, a stationary bike, and a specialized treadmill called T2. The space station is expansive enough for bulky exercise equipment that helps preserve the health and performance of astronauts in space and when they return to Earth.
However, as NASA looks to explore beyond low Earth orbit, the agency anticipates future spacecraft will not have room for large exercise equipment, like treadmills. Since walking and running are essential parts of workouts aboard the space station, NASA does not fully understand how long-duration spaceflights without a treadmill will impact crews' health and motor functions. Consequently, NASA researchers are adjusting astronauts' training regimens, including eliminating the use of the treadmill in some cases, to study ways that maintain crews' strength, fitness, bone health, and balance.
In an ongoing study called Zero T2, expedition crews are divided into three groups with different workout regimens. One group continues exercising normally, using all the available equipment aboard the orbiting complex. A second group forgoes using the treadmill, relying solely on the other available equipment.
While a third group will only exercise using a new, experimental, less bulky workout machine. NASA compares the groups' health data collected before, during, and after flight to determine if the lack of treadmill use negatively impacts the crews' fitness, muscle performance, and recovery after return to Earth.
"A treadmill takes up a lot of mass, space, and energy. This is not great for missions to Mars where every kilogram counts," explained NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick, who participated in the same study while serving as commander of NASA's SpaceX Crew-8 mission in 2024. "The Zero T2 experiment is helping us figure out if we can go without a treadmill and still be healthy."
Results of the Zero T2 study will help researchers determine how treadmill-free workouts may affect crew health, which will, in turn, help NASA build realistic exercise protocols for future deep space missions. Additionally, this investigation could support design improvements for exercise devices used to prevent or treat bone, muscle, and cardiovascular health on Earth.
Beyond the Zero T2 study, select NASA crew members will perform additional studies supported by the agency's Human Research Program during their mission. Participating crew will conduct medical exams, provide biological samples, and document spaceflight-related injuries, among other tasks.
"Astronauts choose which studies to participate in based on their interests," explained Cherie Oubre, a NASA scientist at the agency's Johnson Space Center in Houston, who helps oversee human research studies carried out aboard the space station. "The experiments address important risks and gaps associated with human spaceflight."
One set of experiments, called CIPHER (Complement of Integrated Protocols for Human Exploration Research), will help researchers understand how multiple systems within the human body adjust to varying mission durations. CIPHER study members will complete vision assessments, cognitive tests, and MRI scans to help provide a clearer picture of how the entire body is affected by space.
"The CIPHER experiment tracks changes in the eyes, bones, heart, muscles, immune system, and more," Oubre said. "The investigation provides the most comprehensive overview of how long-duration spaceflight affects the entire human body ever conducted, helping us advance human expeditions to the moon, Mars, and elsewhere."
Some crew members will also contribute to a core set of measurements called Spaceflight Standard Measures. The measurements represent how the human body and mind adapt to space travel over time and serve as a basis for other spaceflight studies like CIPHER. Additionally, crew members may provide biological samples for Omics Archive, a separate study analyzing how the body reacts to long-duration spaceflight at the molecular level.
In another study, select crew members will test a potential treatment for spaceflight-associated neuro-ocular syndrome, a condition associated with brain changes and swelling of the back of the eye. Researchers are unsure what causes the syndrome or why only certain astronauts develop it, but the shift of bodily fluids toward the head in weightlessness may play a role.
Some scientists believe genetics related to how the body processes B vitamins may affect how astronauts respond to those fluid shifts. Participating crew will test whether a daily B vitamin supplement can ease or prevent the development of symptoms. They also will investigate if cuffs worn on astronauts' thighs to keep fluids in the legs could be an effective intervention.
Upon return, the select crew members will complete surveys that record any discomfort or injuries associated with landing, such as scrapes and bruises. Results of the surveys ̶ when combined with data retrieved by sensors in the vehicle ̶ will help researchers catalog these injuries and improve the design of spacecraft.
Crew members began participating in the studies about a year before their mission, learning about the work and offering baseline health data. They will continue to provide data for the experiments for up to two years after returning home.

This is the time of year when the U.S. Census Bureau publishes its latest data on poverty in the United States, and headlines are presenting a mixed picture. One set of survey results found that the overall number of people living in poverty in 2022 was relatively unchanged from the last two years. In contrast, another survey found that America’s child poverty rate doubled between 2021 and 2022, largely due to the post-pandemic expiration of an expanded child tax credit. The divergent results reflect the fact that the Census Bureau measures poverty in more than one way.
Neither of these results, however, sheds much light on where poverty is rising, falling, or staying the same, and who is most affected. Ten years ago, our book, “Confronting Suburban Poverty in America,” chronicled the rapid rise of poverty in the nation’s suburbs during the 2000s. We showed the challenges the shifting geography of poverty posed for low-income Americans’ ability to access safety net services, transportation, and jobs.
Now, the Census Bureau’s latest American Community Survey (ACS)—another set of data that often flies under the public radar—offers an updated look at the landscape of poverty in 2022. After a long run of economic growth in the 2010s and more than two years into a post-pandemic economic recovery, what does the geography of poverty in America look like today?
The nation’s suburbs accounted for the majority of increases in the poor population following the onset of the pandemic
Tumblr media
Of that 1.5 million person increase in Americans living below the poverty line, more than 60% occurred in suburbs. The U.S. is a suburban nation—more people live in suburbs (47%) than in cities (21%), small and midsized metro areas (18%), or rural areas (14%).1 And between 2019 and 2022, the poor population in major metropolitan suburbs grew three times as fast as in major cities (6% versus 2%). Major metro areas in the West (e.g., Ogden, Utah and San Francisco), South (e.g., Washington, D.C. and Houston), and Midwest (e.g., St. Louis and Minneapolis-Saint Paul) posted double-digit percentage increases in their suburban poor populations over this period. (See the appendix for detailed data.)
Tumblr media
Fewer suburbs experienced falling poverty rates than cities
As urban and suburban poor populations increased, so did poverty rates (the share of the total population living below the poverty line) in both large cities and their surrounding suburbs. In 2022, roughly one in 10 suburban residents lived in poverty (9.6%), compared to about one in six in primary cities (16.2%). Those rates represented increases of less than half a percentage point over 2019 (0.3 percentage points for suburbs and 0.4 percentage points for large cities).
Over this same period, 25 major metro areas posted statistically significant increases in their suburban poverty rates, and 25 saw significant increases in their urban poverty rates. Only six metro areas had increases in both their urban and suburban poverty rates: Chicago, Detroit, Houston, New York, Ogden, Utah, and San Francisco. As our colleague William H. Frey has shown, several of these metro areas shed both city and suburban population during the 2019-2022 pandemic period.
In contrast, 19 major metro areas saw their urban poverty rates decline between 2019 and 2022, led by Grand Rapids, Mich., Buffalo, N.Y., and Knoxville, Tenn. But only 12 major metro areas posted statistically significant declines in their suburban poverty rates following the pandemic. By and large, those declines reflected overall (non-poor) population growth rather than declines in the number of people living in poverty; no major metro area registered a statistically significant decline in its suburban poor population over this period. For example, the total number of residents in Provo, Utah’s suburbs grew by 13% between 2019 and 2022. That rapid population growth, even as the region’s poor population remained statistically unchanged, led Provo’s suburban poverty rate to fall by 2.2 percentage points.
America continues to confront suburban poverty
A year after the release of “Confronting Suburban Poverty in America,” we wrote that recovery from the Great Recession “did not hit the reset button” on the landscape of poverty. By 2014, the worst effects of the recession had receded, yet the shift of poverty toward the nation’s suburbs had not. The same remains true in the wake of the pandemic recession. Whatever trajectory U.S. poverty follows in the coming years, it’s increasingly clear that the “new geography of poverty” we chronicled a decade ago is here to stay.
Much of our book detailed the challenges of addressing this geography of poverty when so much key infrastructure—such as policies targeted to low-income communities, the social service capacity for deploying key work supports, and the transportation networks that shape access to employment opportunities—historically has been concentrated in urban areas. We articulated the need for more cross-jurisdictional strategies that could grapple with the regional scale at which major metropolitan labor and housing markets function.
For all the economic pain it wrought, the COVID-19 pandemic also induced a massive federal response to alleviate need at the local level. Counties, cities, and towns of all sizes—including thousands in suburban America—received direct aid to help workers, households, and students whose lives the pandemic upended. While that aid was time-limited, it surely opened more suburban leaders’ eyes to the hardships many of their residents continue to face even after the emergency has subsided.
Sustaining efforts to address economic hardship once pandemic-era federal funding runs dry will take creativity, collaboration, and commitment in the face of competing priorities. But as the latest data makes clear, American poverty remains a growing suburban challenge, and solutions to overcome it must take root there as well.

The technologically savvy older brothers of a slain Texas college student handed over data extracted from social media accounts later used to secure convictions in the case.
Zuhyr Hamza Kaleem, 22, was shot dead then buried in a premeditated killing by former classmates in 2019, prosecutors said.
Jose Varela, now 24, was sentenced last week to 45 years in prison in the death of 22-year-old Zuhyr Hamza Kaleem. Eric Aguilar, now 25, was sentenced to life in prison on capital murder charges last November.
Austin Walker, also charged with capital murder in the case, pleaded guilty and is scheduled for a presentencing information hearing on Thursday, Harris County District Attorney's Office Community Outreach Coordinator John Donnelly told Fox News Digital.
A fourth man, Gannon Gotlieb, was charged with tampering after admitting to burying and burning Kaleem's body on his property in Grimes County, per the office; the status of that charge is unclear.
Varela, Kaleem and Aguilar grew up in the same area near Houston, where Varela and Kaleem were classmates at Cypress Lakes High School near Houston.
Kaleem agreed to meet at Varela's home in Katy to buy two pounds of marijuana on April 27, 2019, per court documents. After closing the garage door, Varela restrained Kaleem and Aguilar shot him, prosecutors said.
"This was a premeditated murder that left a family questioning what happened to their loved one for more than a year," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said in a statement. "With help from the victim’s family and great police work, we were able to get justice in this horrible case."
CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE FLAUNTS AI IN CREEPY 'FRAUD-FOR-HIRE' COMMERCIAL MEANT FOR DARK WEB
The recovery of Kaleem's body and the group's arrests, nearly a year to date from the murder, were achieved in part due to the investigative work of the victim's older brothers.
Baffled by the Lone Star College student's disappearance, software engineer Umayr Kaleem, 31, told Fox News Digital that his family did not "have the option to just turn the other way and quit" when their brother and his car disappeared.
"We're brothers. We've always been hardworking, ambitious – that's how our parents raised us," he said on Tuesday.
Brothers Umayr and Uzair, a software engineer and mechanical engineer, respectively, learned from a close friend that Kaleem intended to buy marijuana the last day he was seen alive.
After he uncharacteristically failed to return their calls and texts, the brothers accessed his Snapchat account to see with whom he was last in contact.
Valera, saved in their brother's phone as "Jose Cylakes Bayliss Long Hair" – referring to the high school that both attended – was the last person Kaleem had spoken with before his activity on the messaging app came to a halt. After reading a message that was no longer viewable, per court documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, Valera deleted Kaleem as a contact.
AUSTIN POLICE ASK ROBBERY VICTIMS TO CALL 311 AMID STAFFING SHORTAGE, CRIME CRISIS
The brothers accessed Kaleem's phone contacts via his laptop, found Valera's phone number and began researching.
"From there, we started asking around, looking on Facebook, Googling him," Uzair, 27, told Fox. "We found a Facebook profile and it was clear that this was the last person Z talked to – we gave that information to police."
It was "pretty evident," Uzair said, that his brother's killers "tried going into Z's phone to wipe it completely," per notifications on the slain college student's MacBook. Although they "knew they were trying to do some weird s--- on their end," their family "wasn't going to let that happen."
The day after Kaleem vanished, his missing vehicle was observed crossing the border into Mexico from Hidalgo, Texas, per court documents. Almost 10 hours later, Varela crossed back into the United States on foot, police said.
Call records obtained by police showed that Varela had communicated with Walker that day. Snapchat messages between the two pulled by police showed that Varela had asked Walker to bring him clean clothes.
After his arrest on April 24 last year, Aguilar claimed that the gun went off accidentally after Kaleem pulled it out in an argument during the drug deal – but prosecutors argued that the killing and subsequent robbery had been planned over a period of weeks based on harvested text and call logs.
Moreover, the brothers told Fox News Digital, Gotlieb testified that, as he buried the man's body, he noticed Kaleem sustained a bullet wound to his hand as though he had raised it in defense.
"These defendants thought they had gotten away with murder and had moved on with their lives, but they had not counted on the victim’s brothers and law enforcement relentlessly pursuing Kaleem’s whereabouts," Assistant District Attorney Tiffany Dupree said in a press release. "This family went an entire year, pining away, praying for their loved one to come home only to find that his remains had been burned because of some marijuana and a couple of hundred bucks."
Uzair and Umayr told Fox News Digital that Valera's sentence – 45 years in prison with parole eligibility in 2033 – "didn't make any sense whatsoever."
"I think everybody in that courtroom was absolutely shocked," Umayr said. "Even just the prosecutors, there were tears in their eyes. The family is horrified. This person pleaded guilty to premeditated murder. [But] he'll be... on parole less than 20 years from today. He'll be right back on the street."
In light of the "absurdly light" sentence, he said, it's "incredibly hard to be happy."
"The worst prison in the world is a home full of pain – that's all there is, just pain," Umayr said. "We go to birthdays, we try to celebrate things as a family, but it's always awkward. It's been years but that awkwardness, that pain is still there."
Uzair told Fox that his brother intended to transfer to the University of Houston and study business. The courtroom in both Aguilar and Valera's trials, he said, was "packed" with his brother's friends and family.

Biodiesel Prices Index: Trend, Chart, News, Graph, Demand, Forecast
In the first quarter of 2025, the biodiesel market in North America, particularly the United States, navigated through a period of volatility shaped by policy shifts, seasonal fluctuations, and evolving supply conditions. The quarter opened on a stable note, supported by consistent imports from Europe and strong offtake from the transportation sector. However, by late January, prices experienced downward pressure, reaching approximately USD 1500/MT UCO CFR Houston. This decline was largely attributed to growing uncertainty surrounding the future of the 45Z tax credit and the potential repeal of biofuel-friendly measures like H.R. 549. In anticipation of regulatory changes, producers escalated output levels to make the most of the existing incentives, which led to oversupply and a subsequent cooling in market sentiment.
Moving into February, the bearish tone persisted. Blending activity weakened due to colder weather conditions and softer diesel prices, while supply remained limited as federal funding delays hindered production expansions. Intermittent stabilization in prices was seen, briefly supported by feedstock cost variations and regional logistical bottlenecks. Despite these temporary lifts, overall demand stayed muted. The expiration of the Blenders Tax Credit added further strain on producer margins and dampened domestic output, reinforcing the subdued market tone.
Get Real time Prices for Biodiesel: https://www.chemanalyst.com/Pricing-data/biodiesel-77
March signaled a turning point for the U.S. biodiesel sector. The market began to rebound as tightening supply—resulting from reduced operating rates and temporary plant shutdowns—coincided with a gradual rise in diesel prices and improving seasonal demand. Imports remained steady, and the policy environment began to stabilize with renewed discussions on Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) mandates and clean fuel credits. These developments helped restore market confidence and supported a steady recovery in prices, allowing the quarter to end on a more optimistic note.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Indonesia’s biodiesel market experienced a similarly varied pricing pattern over the same quarter, influenced by internal policies, feedstock trends, and shifting international demand. The year started with balanced price levels, bolstered by ample availability of used cooking oil and the anticipated rollout of the B40 blending mandate, which was designed to promote biodiesel consumption and reduce reliance on imported fuels. This early stability was further underpinned by resumed government subsidies through the Palm Oil Fund Agency, with biodiesel prices holding around USD 1110/MT Ex-Tanjung Priok by late January.
February saw moderate price increases driven by higher crude palm oil costs, supply disruptions linked to adverse weather, and growing confidence in the implementation of B40. However, these gains were tempered by lackluster global export demand and the persistent drag from low crude oil prices, which constrained biodiesel’s competitive edge in the global energy mix. By March, market sentiment began to soften. Rising palm oil inventories and falling feedstock prices reduced overall production costs, which in turn led to lower biodiesel prices. Despite robust domestic support from blending mandates, weak overseas demand and affordable feedstocks led to a downtrend in pricing by the close of the quarter, highlighting a cautious market outlook.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the German biodiesel market demonstrated dynamic shifts throughout the first quarter, shaped by regulatory realignments, varying consumption levels, and evolving supply fundamentals. Initially, prices were stable due to ramped-up domestic production, which followed the imposition of anti-dumping duties on Chinese imports. These measures helped safeguard local output and maintain market equilibrium. However, by late January, prices declined to USD 1300/MT FD Hamburg, largely influenced by weakened demand from the marine and road transport sectors. The introduction of the Fuel EU Maritime regulations, while intended to encourage cleaner fuels, had the unintended effect of driving demand toward non-European markets that offered more compliance flexibility, thereby reducing domestic uptake.
In February, bearish sentiment continued to dominate. Trade friction with the United States and uncertainty around future biofuel regulations placed further pressure on prices and production levels. Despite long-term policy backing, market players adopted a wait-and-see approach amid unclear regulatory signals and feedstock sourcing difficulties. March brought a notable reversal, driven by rising costs for waste-derived feedstocks like used cooking oil and a tighter overall supply situation. Seasonal factors and optimism surrounding emerging CO2-neutral fuel initiatives fostered renewed bullishness, pushing prices upward. By the end of the quarter, the German biodiesel market had rebounded considerably, with future performance largely dependent on policy direction and feedstock availability.
Overall, the global biodiesel market in Q1 2025 was characterized by high sensitivity to policy developments, feedstock trends, and seasonal consumption patterns. While North America closed the quarter with strengthening prices supported by regulatory clarity and firming demand, Asia’s performance was more subdued, reflecting global trade challenges. In contrast, Europe’s market showed resilience, rebounding from early softness due to evolving compliance measures and tightening supply. Across regions, the interplay between domestic mandates, feedstock economics, and geopolitical developments remained the primary determinants of biodiesel price direction and market sentiment.

Why a Houston Public Adjuster Is Essential for Business Interruption Claims
The clock starts ticking when your business is forced to shut down because of unexpected damage—whether from a storm, fire, or flood. Every day, your doors are closed, revenue is lost, employees are left waiting, and expenses pile up. That’s where a Houston Public Adjuster can make a real difference.
Here’s why having one on your side during a business interruption claim isn’t just helpful—it’s essential.
Understanding Business Interruption Coverage
Let’s be honest: insurance policies aren’t exactly light reading. Business interruption coverage is especially complex, with many exclusions, waiting periods, and fine print that’s easy to miss. A Houston Public Adjuster can interpret your policy in plain language and identify every benefit you’re entitled to. That means you won’t leave money on the table just because you didn’t catch a technicality.
Accurate Loss Assessment
It’s not just about proving property damage—it’s about showing how that damage directly impacted your business income. A public adjuster doesn’t just document the physical loss. They dig deep into your financials, comparing past performance, future projections, and seasonal trends to calculate your true losses. With a Houston Public Adjuster, you’ll have a solid, data-backed claim that insurers can’t easily dispute.
Less Stress, More Focus on Recovery
Running a business is already demanding. Trying to juggle that while fighting with an insurance company over your claim? That’s a full-time job on its own. A public adjuster takes that burden off your shoulders. From paperwork to inspections to negotiating with the insurance provider, they handle the details—so you can focus on getting your team and operations back on track.
Better, Faster Settlements
Insurers may delay or offer lowball settlements when they think you’re overwhelmed or uninformed. A public adjuster knows how to keep the process moving and can push back on unfair offers. With their experience, they know the right questions to ask and the right documentation to provide to maximize your payout.
Final Thoughts
A business interruption can hit hard—but you don’t have to face it alone. Hiring a Houston Public Adjuster means having a knowledgeable advocate who works for you. With the right expert guiding your claim, you’ll have a better shot at a full recovery—and getting back to business sooner than you think.

England’s Heated Preparations and Global Shifts Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026
As the football world braces for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the air is thick not only with anticipation but also with a sense of urgency. The tournament, which will unfold across the vast and climatically diverse landscapes of the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is set to become one of the most physically and mentally demanding editions in the competition’s storied history.
Tumblr media
With scorching summer temperatures predicted in several host cities, national teams and football institutions alike are adapting in unprecedented ways — and England stands at the forefront of this evolution. The English national team, under newly appointed head coach Thomas Touched, has taken an aggressive and science-driven approach to prepare its players for the climatic extremes anticipated during the tournament.
The Football Association (FA) has reportedly constructed heated tents beside training pitches to simulate the intense heat players will experience on the field. These makeshift heat chambers are already in use during England’s current warm-weather training camp in Spain, where players are undergoing rigorous conditioning sessions under artificial temperatures that mimic those expected in cities like Dallas, Houston.
England’s Heat Test Ahead of World Cup 2026
The training methodology is not merely about physical endurance. England’s sports science department is collecting detailed recovery data, monitoring how each player responds to prolonged exposure to heat while engaging in high-intensity drills. Stationary cycling sessions inside the heated tents, combined with biometric tracking, are helping coaches tailor training plans to individual players, enhancing resilience and minimizing heat-related health risks.
Tumblr media
These efforts come in response to studies, including one from Queen’s University Belfast, which warn that 14 out of the 16 proposed stadiums could see match day temperatures surpassing 28°C — a level deemed potentially dangerous. With FIFA’s regulations mandating cooling breaks at the 30th and 75th minutes once temperatures cross 32°C, the conditions are already being dubbed the most physically punishing in World Cup history.
Touched, reflecting on his past experiences with Chelsea’s U.S. tour, summed up the sentiment starkly: Suffering is one of the headlines for this World Cup. I will be very surprised if we do not suffer. However, the challenges are not confined to the pitch. Off the field, seismic shifts in football governance, ownership, and international relations are unfolding.
Premier League Turmoil Ahead of Football World Cup 2026
Memo could be a key figure in United’s bid to revive their fortunes and strengthen their roster in hopes of indirectly influencing national team selections. Meanwhile, turmoil brews at Totten ham Hotspur. Despite their Europa League triumph, manager Ange Postecoglou’s position is in jeopardy after a historically dismal Premier League campaign marked by 22 losses, the most in Spurs’ history, without suffering relegation.
With Vinay Venkatesham newly installed as CEO, the club is undergoing structural audits and leadership assessments that could redefine its direction heading into 2026. Postecoglou’s fate remains uncertain, but the club’s stability or lack thereof could impact England players who feature heavily in Spurs’ lineup, adding another layer of complexity to national team preparations.
Elsewhere in Manchester, City is quietly reshaping its coaching bench. As key members of Pep Guardiola’s backroom team prepare to depart, former Liverpool assistant Pep Lenders is reportedly being lined up for a role. Known for his tactical acumen and energetic presence, Lenders is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to a City side hungry for continued dominance.
Baranovichi Row and Transfer Race Heat Up Before FIFA 2026
A prominent example is the intensifying standoff between the UK government and Roman Baranovichi, the sanctioned former Chelsea FC owner. At the center of the controversy is the £2.5 billion generated from Chelsea’s sale, funds Baranovichi had pledged toward humanitarian relief efforts. While the UK insists the money must be used exclusively to aid victims within Ukraine, Baranovichi reportedly seeks a broader application, extending help to all victims of war.
Tumblr media
With legal action looming, the outcome could set precedents for how governments handle frozen assets tied to international conflicts and the role of football in geopolitical discourse. This political subplot unfolds against the backdrop of a highly active transfer market, as clubs scramble to reinforce their squads before the domestic season, which itself serves as a prelude to World Cup call-ups.
England Braces Altitude, Travel, and the New World Cup 2026 Challenge
The appointment also carries national implications, as the City squad forms a significant backbone of the England national team, with players like Phil Oden, Jack Greenish, and John Stones all likely to be central figures in Tatchell’s plans. As national team coaches keep a close watch on club developments, they are also forced to confront the brutal logistics of the 2026 tournament.
Spanning three countries, the World Cup will test not just tactical adaptability but also travel management and climate preparedness. Teams will face not only opponents on the pitch but also vast distances between match venues, differing altitudes, and potentially disruptive weather patterns. Some matches may be held in cities situated over 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) above sea level, challenging players’ oxygen levels and recovery times.
The enlarged format of the tournament, now featuring 48 teams, adds further complexity. Group-stage scheduling will be tighter, competition fiercer, and any lapse in preparation could result in early exits for traditionally dominant teams. For England, long criticized for underachieving on the world stage despite their talent, the current preparations suggest a recognition that elite skill alone is no longer enough.
FIFA World Cup 2026: A Battle of Endurance, Adaptation, and Unity
Tumblr media
As preparations heat up, both literally and metaphorically, one truth becomes increasingly clear: the FIFA World Cup 2026 will not just be about who can play the best football. It will be about who can endure the most. Who can adapt quickest? Who can rise above not only their opponents but the punishing elements themselves?
Experience the passion, drama, and glory of the Football World Cup 2026 live! With gettickets365, it’s easier than ever to buy FIFA World Cup Tickets, including premium access to FIFA World Cup Final Tickets and Football World Cup Final Tickets. Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
Texas is known for its sprawling cities, busy roadways, and booming population. Unfortunately, with more traffic comes a higher risk of pedestrian accidents. According to recent data, Texas consistently ranks among the states with the highest number of pedestrian fatalities.
In this blog, we’ll break down the key facts, causes, legal considerations, and safety tips surrounding pedestrian accidents in the Lone Star State.
The Scope of the Problem
Pedestrian accidents are a growing concern across Texas. Cities like Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin have seen an alarming rise in pedestrian-related incidents. According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT):
In 2023, over 5,000 pedestrian accidents were reported in Texas.
More than 800 pedestrians were killed, making it one of the deadliest years on record.
Thousands more suffered serious injuries, many resulting in long-term disability or recovery.
This upward trend highlights a need for better infrastructure, driver awareness, and pedestrian education.
Common Causes of Pedestrian Accidents
Understanding the root causes can help prevent future tragedies. Here are some of the most common factors involved:
1. Distracted Driving
Texting, talking on the phone, or using in-car technology can take a driver’s attention off the road and put pedestrians at risk.
2. Speeding
Speeding reduces reaction time and increases the severity of injuries when a collision occurs.
3. Failure to Yield
Many accidents happen when drivers fail to yield at crosswalks or intersections—especially during right turns on red lights.
4. Poor Visibility
Low lighting, bad weather, or obstructed views can lead to accidents, especially at night or during dawn/dusk hours.
5. Alcohol and Drug Use
Impaired drivers—and sometimes impaired pedestrians—are often involved in serious or fatal incidents.
Legal Rights of Pedestrians in Texas
Texas law protects pedestrians, but there are nuances every Texan should understand:
Pedestrians have the right-of-way at marked crosswalks and intersections.
Drivers must yield to pedestrians in both marked and unmarked crosswalks when safe.
Pedestrians, however, must obey traffic signals and are not permitted to suddenly leave the curb and enter the path of a vehicle.
If a pedestrian is injured due to a driver’s negligence, they may be entitled to compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and more.
What to Do After a Pedestrian Accident
If you or a loved one is involved in a pedestrian accident in Texas:
Seek medical attention immediately.
Call the police and file an official report.
Gather evidence—photos, witness information, and details of the scene.
Contact a personal injury attorney to understand your rights and options.
Time matters. In Texas, the statute of limitations for filing a personal injury claim is typically two years from the date of the accident.
Safety Tips for Pedestrians and Drivers
For Pedestrians:
Always use crosswalks and obey walk signals.
Make eye contact with drivers before crossing.
Wear bright or reflective clothing at night.
Avoid walking while intoxicated or distracted.
For Drivers:
Stay alert—especially near schools, neighborhoods, and busy intersections.
Slow down in pedestrian-heavy areas.
Never text and drive.
Watch for pedestrians when turning or backing up.
Final Thoughts
Pedestrian safety is a shared responsibility. Whether you’re behind the wheel or walking along the road, staying alert and respecting traffic laws can save lives. If you or someone you know has been impacted by a pedestrian accident in Texas, don’t hesitate to seek legal advice to protect your rights and get the help you deserve

Suhyun An on the Future of Chiropractic Biophysics in Houston
Tumblr media
Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) is revolutionizing spinal health and posture correction. With more people experiencing back pain, poor posture, and spinal misalignment due to modern lifestyles, CBP provides an advanced, science-backed solution. Suhyun An, a leading expert in the field, is at the forefront of this transformation in Houston. By integrating CBP with innovative treatments, she is shaping the future of chiropractic care and helping patients achieve long-term wellness.
What Is Chiropractic Biophysics?
Chiropractic Biophysics is a specialized chiropractic technique focused on correcting spinal alignment using scientific principles. Unlike traditional chiropractic care that mainly treats symptoms, CBP targets the root causes of spinal issues to provide lasting results.
This method involves:
A detailed posture and spinal analysis using X-rays and digital imaging
Customized treatment plans to restore the spine’s natural curvature
Corrective exercises and spinal traction to improve posture and mobility
By addressing spinal misalignment at its core, CBP helps prevent future pain and discomfort, making it a long-term solution for many individuals.
Why Chiropractic Biophysics Is the Future of Spinal Health
As Houston continues to grow, so does the need for advanced healthcare solutions. Chiropractic Biophysics is gaining popularity due to its ability to provide lasting relief and improve overall health. Here’s why it’s considered the future of chiropractic care:
1. Evidence-Based Approach
CBP relies on scientific research, data analysis, and objective measurements to create customized treatment plans. This ensures predictable and effective outcomes for patients.
2. Long-Term Health Benefits
Instead of offering temporary pain relief, CBP corrects spinal misalignment, reducing the risk of recurring problems and improving overall body function.
3. A Non-Surgical Alternative
Many patients seek CBP as a non-invasive solution to avoid surgery. By correcting spinal misalignment naturally, CBP helps patients recover without the risks associated with surgical procedures.
4. Improved Posture and Mobility
With prolonged screen time and sedentary habits becoming more common, poor posture is a widespread issue. CBP corrects posture-related problems, reducing strain on the spine and enhancing mobility.
5. Personalized Treatment for Each Patient
Every patient has a unique spinal structure, and CBP tailors treatments based on individual needs. This ensures effective results, whether the goal is pain relief, better posture, or improved mobility.
How Suhyun An Is Advancing CBP in Houston
Suhyun An is a key figure in the growth of Chiropractic Biophysics in Houston. Her expertise, combined with a patient-centered approach, has made CBP more accessible and effective.
Key Contributions of Suhyun An in CBP:
1. Integration of CBP with Regenerative Medicine
Dr. An combines CBP with regenerative therapies such as stem cell treatments and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This approach enhances healing and accelerates recovery for patients suffering from chronic pain and spinal issues.
2. A Focus on Patient Education
Many people are unaware of how spinal misalignment affects their overall health. Dr. Suhyun An actively educates her patients and the public about the benefits of CBP, helping them make informed healthcare decisions.
3. Customized, Data-Driven Treatments
By using advanced imaging technology, Dr. Suhyun An creates personalized treatment plans that target specific spinal issues. This results in more accurate adjustments and faster recovery.
4. A Commitment to Innovation
Suhyun An continuously researches and adopts new CBP techniques to improve patient outcomes. She ensures that patients receive the best possible care by staying ahead of the latest advancements.
The Future of CBP in Houston
With increasing awareness of the benefits of Chiropractic Biophysics, Houston is set to become a hub for CBP treatments. Here are some trends shaping its future:
1. Integration of Advanced Technology
AI-driven posture analysis
3D spinal imaging for more precise diagnostics
Wearable devices to track posture and progress
2. More Research and Development
Ongoing studies will refine CBP techniques, making them even more effective and widely accepted in the medical community.
3. Greater Accessibility
As more clinics adopt CBP, patients will have easier access to specialized chiropractic care, reducing the need for invasive treatments.
4. Increased Focus on Preventive Care
The future of CBP will emphasize preventive care, encouraging patients to maintain spinal health before serious issues develop.
Who Can Benefit from Chiropractic Biophysics?
CBP is ideal for individuals experiencing:
Chronic back and neck pain
Poor posture due to prolonged sitting or screen use
Spinal misalignment caused by injuries or lifestyle habits
Mobility issues affecting daily activities
By addressing these concerns at the root level, CBP helps improve overall health and well-being.
Conclusion
Chiropractic Biophysics transforms spinal healthcare by offering long-term solutions instead of temporary relief. With experts like Suhyun An leading the way, CBP is set to become a standard practice in Houston’s chiropractic care landscape. As new technologies and research continue to advance the field, more people will benefit from this science-based, non-invasive approach to spinal wellness.
